FEAST OF TABERNACLES COMMUNION

We have a special Study today, we have a Communion Special today. So, before we begin, if you don’t already have the Communion Sacriments ready, I ask that you now take the time and go get them. Any Red Wine which is symbolical of the Blood of Christ will do, if you don’t have Red Wine, or because of medical reasons you cannot partake of Red Wine, Grape Juice or water will do, as, again, they are symbolical. Next get a Soda Cracker for the symbolical Body of Christ, and if you don’t have a Soda Cracker, any type of Bread will do, as, again the Bread too is symbolical. I do encourage you to partake of Communion today even if you don’t have Red Wine or Grape Juice available, use the water. Partaking of the LORD’s Table is the closest you can get to Father and commune with Him.

Why do we have a Communion Special today? Because it’s that time of year that we gather together to celebrate the fall Festivals and Feasts of Father: the Feast of The Blowing of the Trumpets; the Day of Atonement; and the Feast of Tabernacles. This is a special time of year, as, there is only one month in which our Father told our forefathres and us to celebrate three Feasts, that month is the seventh month of the calendar year, the month of Ethanim—so called before the Babylonian captivity—also known as or called, Tisri. There was and is a reason Father designated this month to have three Feasts, and that reason is because it is the month in which Immanuel in the Hebrew, Emmanuel in the Greek, was born in the flesh. This was not the day in which He became flesh, as that day was December 25^th, the day He was conceived, if you don’t know this, you can read my Study The Date of Jesus Birth, by clicking here.

What is the first celebration of this month? A Blowing of the Trumpets. In the Strong’s Concordance, this is Hebrew word number: H8643H8643, - תְּרוּעָה, - t^erû‛âh, - pronounced: ter-oo-awי, and means: From H7321; clamor, that is, acclamation of joy or a battle cry; especially clangor of trumpets, as an alarum: - alarm, blow (-ing) (of, the) (trumpets), joy, jubile, loud noise, rejoicing, shout (-ing), (high, joyful) sound (-ing). Total KJV occurrences: 36.. So, in other words, it is a time to make a very loud joyful rejoicing sound either with your voice or with an instrument. The day was kept Solemn, all servile business being forbidden. In addition to the daily and the monthly sacrifices—Numbers 28:11-15—a Solemn Burnt Offering was offered for the whole nation, of a bullock, a ram, a kid, and seven lambs of the same year, with offerings of flour and wine, as usual with these Sacrifices. When people not familiar with why our forefathers were blowing their rumpets and making such a loud joyful noise, asked why they were doing so, they were to tell them of the coming birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ—no, sadly, they did not comprehend this at the time, but we looking back and having the knowledge of Christs birth and the month in which He was born can understand and celebrate with that loud joyful noise.

The second Feast of this month is the Day of Atonement—Strong’s Concordance Hebrew word numbers: H3117, - יוֹם, - yôm, - pronounced: yome, and Strong’s Concordance Hebrew word number: H3725, - כִּפֻּר, - kippûr, - pronounced: kip-poorי, hence the day the Israelites call Yom Kippur—which occurs on the Tenth day of the month, the day—and the only day of the year—the High Priest went into the Holiest of Holies in Father’s Temple to atone for the sins of the People. This was The Great Day of National Humiliation and Expiation, and The Only One Commanded in Mosiac Law—the ceremonies of this all-important day are minutely described in Leviticus 16:1-34. The various Offerings and Sacrifices required him to enter into Father’s Tabernacle and the Holiest of Holies several times during this day. Of course the High Priest first had to make sacrifices for himself for Father to forgive his sins, and then he offered sacrifices for the People. As I said, it was kept on the tenth day of Ethanim, that is, from the evening of the ninth to the evening of the tenth of the month, five days before the Feast of Tabernacles. Ethanim corresponds to our September-October, so that means the 10^th of Ethanim would be about our 30^th day of September. Again, it was kept by our forefathers as a High Solemn Sabbath—no work was allowed, everybody had to be present at Father’s Tabernacle, and The Law—the Torah—was read while everybody was there—with the High Priest first having bathed his person and dressing himself entirely in the Holy White Linen garments—these were used for this occasion of the Day of Atonement only, these garments were different from the garments he wore as prescribed in Leviticus 8:7—he then brought forward a young bullock for a Sin Offering, purchased at his own cost, on account of himself and his family—he and his wife, his sons the Priest Line and their wives and children—and two young goats for a Sin Offering, with a ram for a Burnt Offering, which were paid for out of the public treasury, on account of the People of the House of Israel. The High Priest then presented the two goats before Father at the door of the Tabernacle and cast lots upon them using the urim and thummin—the two stones of the breastplate of the High Priest, which was used to give answers to a deciding doubtful question which needed to be answered by Father Himself; the answers were of course, “yes or no,” “this way or that way,” “this one or that one;” and in this case, the goat to be sacrificed and the goat to be set free was decided: the goat to sacrificed was representative of Father YHVH, and the scapegoat was the representative of the complete opposite, the opposition to Father, being satan himself. On one the goats, “For Father YHVH” was inscribed, and on the other goat, “for the scapegoat”. The word “scapegoat” in the Strong’s Concordance, is Hebrew word number H5799, - עֲזָאזֵל,i - יăzâ'zêl, - pronounced: az-aw-zaleי, and means: From H5795 and H235; goat of departure; the scapegoat: - scapegoat. Total KJV occurrences: 4.. After various sacrifices and ceremonies, the goat upon which the lot “For YHVH” had fallen was slain and the High Priest sprinkled its blood before the Mercy-Seat in the same manner as he had done that of the bullock. Going out from the Holy of Holies, he purified the Holy Place, sprinkling some of the blood of both the bullock and the goat on the Altar of Incense. The purification of the Holy of Holies and of the Holy Place being thus completed, the High Priest then brought the “the scapegoat” before Father, presented alive, laid his hands upon the head of the goat to make an Atonement the People—the scapegoat was not actually used to make an Atonement for the People, but Atonement was made for it, hence he was to be “let go” free. This goat was then led by a “fit man” chosen for the purpose, into the wilderness, burdened with the sins of the People into “a land not inhabited,” and was there set free. The High Priest after this, returned into the Holy Place, bathed himself again, put on his usual garments of office, and offered the two rams as Burnt Offerings, one for himself and one for the people.

The third Feast of this month was the Feast of Tabernacles, also called the Feast of the In-gathering. This was held for 8 days, from the 15^th to the 22^nd day of the month, immediately following the harvest; when the whole of the chief fruits of the ground, the corn, the wine and the oil, were gathered in. Its duration was strictly only seven days—Deuteronomy 16:13; Ezekiel 45:25—but it was followed by a day of holy convocation, distinguished by sacrifices of its own, which was sometimes spoken of as an eighth day—Leviticus 23:36; Nehemiah 8:18. During the seven days of this Feast, the Israelites were commanded to dwell in booths, or huts, formed of the boughs of trees. The boughs were of the olive palm, pine, myrtle and other trees with thick foliage—Nehemiah 8:15-16. According to rabbinical tradition, each Israelite used to tie the branches into a bunch, to be carried in his hand to which the name lulab was given. The Burnt Offerings of the Feast of Tabernacles were by far more numerous than those of any other festival. There were offered on each day; two rams, fourteen lambs and a kid for a Sin Offering. But what was most peculiar was the arrangement of the sacrifices of bullocks, in amounting to seventy—Numbers 29:12-38. The eighth day was a day of holy convocation of peculiar solemnity. On the morning of this day, our forefathers left their huts and dismantled them, and took up their abode again in their houses. The special offerings of the day were a bullock, a ram, seven lambs, and a goat for a Sin Offering—Numbers 29:36;38. During the Feast of Tabernacles, portions of the Law were read each day in public, to men, women, children and strangers—Deuteronomy 31:10-13. We find Ezra reading the Law, during the festival, “day by day, from the first day to the last day”—Nehemiah 8:18.

As Father was leading our forefathers out of their bondage to the Egyptians where they had been held captive for approximately 144 years—the Israelites went into Egypt in the year 1706B.C., Joseph died 71 years later in the year 1635B.C., Moses was born 64 yeaars later in the year 1571B.C., he lived in Egypt for 40 years till 1531B.C. when he was exhiled, he lived in exhile for 40 years when he returned and lead Israel out of Egypt in the year 1491B.C., total number of years in Egypt was 215 years, and best that can be pieced together from Father’s Word is that the captivity—bondage—began after the death of Josseph—Exodus 1:6-7—1635-1491B.C. is 144 years—there were many stops along the way to the Promised Land. One of those stops, the very first stop, they made an encampment, this encampment was called Succoth, this place was a very special place to Father and he instructed our forefathers to make “booths.” They were instructed to take branches and make huts for themselves in order to protect them from the elements as well as wild beasts. This also was a visual reality that Father was providing for them, that He would be with them and protect them.

With that introduction being said, let’s go to Father and ask Him for His Blessings on our Study of His Word: “ Father, I come to You right now and ask that You Oh LORD Lead me and Guide me as I try and teach Your Word, don’t allow me to mis-teach or mis-lead Your Children. We, Father, also come to You as a group who desire to Learn Your Word, to thank You for inviting us to Your table in order that we might be able to partake of and receive Your Spiritual Meat, and Father, as we prepare to dine on the sustenance which sustains our inner man, we ask that You Oh LORD open our ears and eyes, that we might be able to hear and see your Truths, open our hearts and minds and prepare us in order that we may receive Your Truth. We Pray for Your Understanding of Your Word, we seek Your Knowledge in Your Word, and most importantly Father, we Pray for and desire Your Wisdom from Your Word, in Jesus’ Precious name we Pray, thank You Father, Amen.”

Let’s begin our Study of the Feast of Tabernacles in The Book of Exodus, Chapter 12, verse 1.

Exodus 12:1 And the LORD^H3068 spake^H559 unto^H413 Moses (Drawing out [of the water], that is, rescued; or, “drawn,” i.e. from the water) (mo-shehי)^H4872 and Aaron (a teacher; or, lofty; and, very high) (a-har-oneי)^H175 in the land^H776 of Egypt (land of the copts; and, land of the copts) (mits-rahי-yim)^H4714, saying^H559,   —>   Father is about to command Moses and Aaron to direct the Children of Israel how to prepare for their leaving the land of Egypt and their 215 year bondage to the Egyptians.

The LORD=This Title of Father as used here in this verse, is Father in His Role of יְהֹוָה, YHVH—from Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendices: YHVH, YAHVEH, or YEHOVAH—the sacred and personal name of Father. While Elohim is God as the Creator of all things, YEHOVAH is the same God in covenant relation to those whom He has created (compare II Chronicles 18:31). YEHOVAH means the Eternal, the Immutable One, He Who WAS, and IS, and IS TO COME. The Divine definition is given in Genesis 21:33. He is especially, therefore, the God of Israel; and the God of those who are redeemed, and are thus now “in Christ”. We can say “My God,” but not “My YEHOVAH,” for YEHOVAH is “MY God.”.

Exodus 12:2 This^H2088 month^H2320 shall be unto you the beginning^H7218 of months^H2320: it^H1931 shall be the first^H7223 month^H2320 of the year^H8141 to you.   —>   As we can see, it is Father YHVH Who is setting the date, the time and the schedule; I mean, after all, He did create all things; so it is His right to do so. It is now the time of the Spring Vernal Equinox—for us today, that is March 21^st—and He is telling Moses and Aaron that the beginning of the Calendar New Year for the Israelites will now be the month of Abib—which in the Egyptian tongue, means green ears—and later was changed to Nisan—changed when our forefathers were captive to the Babylonians, therefore, Nisan is Chaldee, hence Nisan is found only in Nehemiah 2:1 and Ester 3:7.

As I noted above, the first month of the year for our forefathers was the month of Abib. There were many events which occurred in the first month: Father’s Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread is celebrated—Jewish tradition has it that in the month of Abib: Abram was called; Isaac was born; the Talmud further states: “As in Nisan there had been Redemption, so in Nisan there should be Redemption...”—Israel was delivered from Egypt and Father’s Tabernacle was reared-up; John’s preaching began and Jesus’ death also occurred in the month of Abib, and there were also many events which occurred on the first day of the first month: the waters of the flood of Noah’s day were dried up from upon the face of the earth—Genesis 8:13; Israel was delivered from Egypt—Exodus 13:4; Father’s Tabernacle was reared-up—Exodus 40:2; king Hezekiah began the cleansing and Sanctification Father’s Temple—II Chronicles 29:17; Ezra went up from Babylon to Jerusalem—Ezra 7:9; the Priesthood gave up their strange wives—Ezra 10:17; and the offering up of a bullock in Ezekiel’s future Temple—Ezekiel 45:18.

Exodus 12:3 Speak^H1696 ye unto^H413 all^H3605 the congregation^H5712 of Israel (he will rule as YAH; or, the prince that prevails with YAH) (Yis-raw-aleי) (secondary map)^H3478, saying^H559, ‘In the tenth^H6218 day of this^H2088 month^H2320 they shall take^H3947 to them every man^H376 a lamb^H7716, according to the house^H1004 of their fathers^H1, a lamb^H7716 for an house^H1004:   —>   Here in this verse, Father is directing Moses to tell the Children of Israel that on the tenth day of the month, they were to select the lamb which they would use in their sacrifice during His Passover. It was thought that it would take approximately ten people to consume a lamb, so as we’ll see, they had to ensure that there would be no waste.

They were to start preparing their lamb on the tenth day of the month, four days prior to their consumption of it. Why four? In Biblical Numerics, four is the number of the Earth — “Created Works”—we can read the following from Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendix 4: “Four. Denotes creative works (3+1), and always has reference to the material creation, as pertaining to the earth, and things “under the sun,” and things terrestrial.,” and from his Book Number In Scripture: “We have seen that three signifies Divine perfection. Now the number four is made up of three and one (3+1=4), and it denotes, therefore, and marks that which follows the revelation of God, namely, His creative works. He is known by the things that are seen. Hence the written revelation commences with the words, “In-the-beginning God CREATED.” Creation is therefore the next thing—the fourth thing, and the number four always has reference to all that is created. It is emphatically the number of Creation, of man in his relation to the world as created; while six is the number of man in his opposition to and independence of God. It is the number of things that have a beginning, of things that are made, of material things, and matter itself. It is the number of material completeness. Hence it is the world number, and especially the “city” number. The fourth day saw the material creation finished (for on the fifth and sixth days it was only the furnishing and peopling of the earth with living creatures). The sun, moon, and stars completed the work, and they were to give light upon the earth which had been created, and to rule over the day and over the night (Genesis 1:14-19). Four is the number of the great elements—earth, air, fire, and water. Four are the regions of the earth—north, south, east, and west. Four are the divisions of the day—morning, noon, evening, and midnight. Or in our Lord’s words, when He speaks of His coming at evening, midnight, cock-crowing, or in the morning (Mark 13:35). We are never to put off His coming in our minds beyond tomorrow morning. Four are the seasons of the year—spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Four are the great variations of the lunar phases.”. On earth, we have the four directions on the compass; the four winds; the four seasons, and so on. This lamb being prepared for the sacrifice then, “four” days prior, is for the sins which are committed during this earth Age, not the one prior—the First Earth Age, when we were created, when we were all with Father before being born into this Age—nor the one to come—the last Age, after Christ’s Millennium, when there will be no more sin.

…tenth…=The number ten in Biblical numberics denotes: Ordinal Perfection. From Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendix 4, we read the following: “Ten. Denotes Ordinal perfection. Another new first; after the ninth digit, when numeration commences anew.,” and from his Book Number In Scripture, we read: “It has been already pointed out that ten is one of the perfect numbers, and signifies the perfection of Divine order, commencing, as it does, an altogether new series of numbers. The first decade is the representative of the whole numeral system, and originates the system of calculation called “decimals,” because the whole system of numeration consists of so many tens, of which the first is a type of the whole. Completeness of order, marking the entire round of anything, is, therefore, the ever-present signification of the number ten. It implies that nothing is wanting; that the number and order are perfect, that the whole cycle is complete.,” Dr. Bullinger lists many more things denoted by the number ten—far too many to list here—and if you click in the link—hover your mouse over the words “Number In Scripture” above—you too can read of them.

Exodus 12:4 And if^H518 the household^H1004 be too little^H4591 for the lamb^H4480 ^H1961 ^H4480 ^H7716, let him^H1931 and his neighbor^H7934 next^H7138 unto^H413 his house^H1004 take^H3947 it according to the number^H4373 of the souls^H5315; every man^H376 according to^H6310 his eating^H400 shall make your count^H3699 for^H5921 the lamb^H7716.   —>   If a family didn’t have enough people within that family to completely consume their lamb, then, they were to get with the family next door and share it with them, so that there would be no waste. Why wouldn’t Father YHVH want you to waste any portion of this lamb? Remember, it was and is His Passover, His sacrifice and His Lamb and you don’t ever want to waste any part of the Lamb of God, as, that would be an abomination to Father.

Exodus 12:5 Your lamb^H7716 shall be^H1961 without blemish^H8549, a male^H2145 of the first^H1121 year^H8141: ye shall take it out^H3947 from^H4480 the sheep^H3532, or from^H4480 the goats^H5795:   —>   Notice that their sacrifice could be taken from either the sheep or the goats, but, it had to be a male of the first year—first fruits—and without blemish — we can see the “type” for Christ within this lamb.

How do we partake of the Passover sacrifice today? By the taking of the unleavened broken bread or cracker — Body of Christ, and of the wine — Blood of Christ. All Christians, unless for medical reasons, should partake of the wine and not juice. For further explanation of this, see my study “Wine or Swine.” Speaking of which, there is another abomination man has adopted in which man just has to poke Father right in His eye, and sadden Him terribly! The eating of swine on the High Sabbath. Again, go and read my Study on this very subject.

Exodus 12:6 And ye shall keep^H1961 ^H4931 it up until^H5704 the fourteenth^H702 ^H6240 day^H3117 of the same^H2088 month^H2320: and the whole^H3605 assembly^H6951 of the congregation^H5712 of Israel^H3478 shall kill^H7819 it in^H996 the evening^H6153.   —>   Moses is directing that the Israelites keep their selected lamb until at even time—dusk—on the fourteenth day of the first month, then they shall slay their sacrificial lamb. All members of the family were to be present during the slaying of their sacrifice; it wasn’t to be hid even from the children. Likewise today, we should be explaining to our children the “Who,” “What,” “Why,” and “When” of our Creator’s death in the flesh for our sins.

As for the “who,” — do you know and understand just who it was who crucified Christ on that cross? In Father’s Word—Matthew 27, Mark 15, and John 19—they are called, or labeled, “the Jews.” But, was it really those of the House of Judah — “Jews?” No, it was not. It was they who identified themselves with the House of Judah but were not, BY BIRTH, of the House of Judah, these had mixed themselves in with the people of the House of Judah in order to fulfill their father’s—lower case “f”—plan. We can read of who these peoples were in I Chronicles 2:55, Ezra 8:15-17 and Nehemiah 3, 7, 10 and 11.

The “why” is the reason they wanted to kill Christ. They, like their father — satan—see Matthew 13, Matthew 23, John 8:44, Revelation 2:9 and 3:9—thought that if they killed Christ, then their father satan would disrupt Father’s plan of salvation, and that since Christ would now be dead, satan would also defeat Father’s Word and plan, and, he would then win in his controversy with Father. What they didn’t know, was that it was Father&rsquos plan to come in the flesh in order to die for the sins of all His children, and in satan’s offspring then fulfilling “their father’s” plan they actually fulfilled Father’s plan.

Exodus 12:7 And they shall take^H3947 of^H4480 the blood^H1818, and strike^H5414 it on^H5921 the two^H8147 side posts^H4201 and on^H5921 the upper door post^H4947 of^H5921 the houses^H1004, wherein^H834 they shall eat^H398 it.   —>   After the Israelites had slain their sacrificial lamb, they were to take hyssop and dip it into the blood of the lamb, and then put it on the door post of the house that they were living in, they were then to go into that house and await for the death angel to “passover” their house.

Today we put the blood of the Lamb upon the door posts of our hearts — we have to voluntarily give our hearts to Christ, because He covered our sins with His blood. We partake of the Lamb today by partaking of the Holy Sacraments of the unleavened cracker and the cup when we take Communion.

Today we also take the oil of our people, the “Pure Virgin Olive Oil” and we anoint ourselves and our houses with that oil. We anoint ourselves to help prevent sickness both physically and spiritually, we anoint our homes to help prevent sickness—negativity, evilness and perverseness—from entering into our homes and lives either through the Internet, television or the mail.

Exodus 12:8 And they shall eat^H398 ^H853 the flesh^H1320 in that^H2088 night^H3915, roast^H6748 with fire^H784, and unleavened bread^H4682; and with^H5921 bitter^H4844 herbs they shall eat^H398 it.   —>   Father is always direct, specific, and to the point on how He wants us to do things, and, we are to follow His instructions very closely.

Bitter herbs=This was to remind our forefathers of how bitter their stay in Egypt was, and, how badly they had been treated by people who do not follow Father or His Commandments, Laws, Ordinances or Statutes.

Exodus 12:9 Eat^H398 not^H408 of^H4480 it raw^H4995, nor sodden at all^H1311 ^H1310 with water^H4325, but^H3588 ^H518 roast^H6748 with fire^H784; his head^H7218 with^H5921 his legs^H3767, and with^H5921 the purtenance^H7130 thereof.   —>   Father was directing that their sacrificial lamb was to be eaten, roasted over a fire, not boiled in water, or fried in oil. They were to eat it with unleavened bread—Father was showing them that they wouldn’t have the time that it took for the leaven to rise to make the bread, and leaven is also symbolical of sin—and bitter herbs—the bitter herbs was to remind the children of Israel of the bitter treatment they received at the hands of the Egyptians for the past 400 years.

The were to eat as much of their sacrifice as possible, leaving none to be discarded in the trash, for that would have been an abomination to Father. Whatever they could not eat would then have to be completely burnt in the fire the next morning.

Exodus 12:10 And ye shall let nothing^H3808 of^H4480 it remain^H3498 until^H5704 the morning^H1242; and that which remaineth^H3498 of^H4480 it until^H5704 the morning^H1242 ye shall burn^H8313 with fire^H784.   —>   This portion of the lamb that is left, had to be completely destroyed and consumed in the fire, and as we can read in Hebrews 12:29: Hebrews 12:29 For^G1063 ^G2532 our^G2257 God^G2316 is a consuming^G2654 fire.^G4442. Yes, our loving Father is a consuming fire, and sadly, at the end of Christ’s 1,000 year Millennial reign, that is exactly what He will have to do to some of His children — destroy them in the Lake of Fire as we read of in Revelation 20:7-15, which reads: Revelation 20:7 And^G2532 when^G3752 the^G3588 thousand^G5507 years^G2094 are expired^G5055, Satan^G4567 shall be loosed^G3089 out of^G1537 his^G846 prison^G5438.   —>   Why would Father allow satan to be loosed out of his prison? To again test His children to see who Loves and will follow Him, or who loves satan and will follow him. These Children of Father’s are untested. They had not participated in the first resurrection. We want them tested to ensure they truly love Father so that we don’t have to go through all this non-sense again. Do you want those who are untested in the eternity with you? I don’t think so. Let’s read the next verse. Father allows satan to be loosed in order to gather those who love satan to himself, so that, they can again come and battle against Father. How many will there be? As this verse says, as numerous as the sand of the sea. You would think that, after a thousand years of teaching without satan’s influence, that there wouldn’t be any, let alone so numerous as the sands of the sea. What a sad thing indeed. But, what a wonderful way to identify them now, so that, they won’t be there with us in the eternity. [20:9] And^G2532 they went up^G305 on^G1909 the^G3588 breadth^G4114 of the^G3588 earth^G1093, and^G2532 compassed the camp of His saints about^G2944 ^G3588 ^G3925 ^G3588 ^G40, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.   —>   Just like in the First Earth Age, and in Exodus 32, there will again be those who stand on the side of Father, and, as we can see in this verse, satan and his followers will encompass them about; however, this angers Father, and what does He do? Just like we read of in Genesis 18 concerning Sodom and Gomorrah, He rains fire and hailstones down upon His enemies and destroys them. What is the “beloved city…”? It is the city of Jerusalem, formerly known Jebus, of which Father spread His skirt upon, and took to marriage in Ezekiel 16. Sadly, because of our forefather’s unfaithfulness, the marriage didn’t last very long, and in Jeremiah 3, Father gave the beloved city a bill of divorcement. But, it is the place where first, satan as antichrist will appear, thus fulfilling Ezekiel 16:2, Daniel 9:11,12 and 27. Revelation 20:10 And^G2532 the^G3588 devil^G1228 that deceived^G4105 them^G846 was cast^G906 into^G1519 the^G3588 lake^G3041 of fire^G4442 and^G2532 brimstone^G2303, where^G3699 the^G3588 beast^G2342 and^G2532 the^G3588 false prophet^G5578 are, and^G2532 shall be tormented^G928 day^G2250 and^G2532 night^G3571 for ever and ever^G1519 ^G165 ^G165.   —>   Here is where satan himself—his spiritual body which Father created when He created each and every one of us— finally meets his demise and his end, it is now that he is finally cast into the lake of fire. Again, what is this lake of fire? And again, we find our answer to this in Hebrews 12:29 and also in Ezekiel 28, which reads: Ezekiel 28:14 Thou^H859 art the anointed^H4473 cherub^H3742 that coverest^H5526; and I have set^H5414 thee so: thou wast^H1961 upon the holy^H6944 mountain^H2022 of God^H430; thou hast walked up and down^H1980 in the midst^H8432 of the stones^H68 of fire^H784.   —>   Satan was right there covering the Ark of Father, right at the altar of Father. Father created him and anointed him, and then, he fell because, he wanted to sit on Father’s Mercy Seat instead of being the protecting cherub, in other words, he stopped loving Father and became in love with himself. [28:15] Thou^H859 wast perfect^H8549 in thy ways^H1870 from the day^H4480 ^H3117 that thou wast created^H1254, till^H5704 inquity^H5766 was found^H4672 in thee.    —>   What iniquity was that? Pride!! Pride and the desire to sit in Father’s place, on Father’s seat, as god. [28:16] By the multitude^H7230 of thy merchandise^H7404 they have filled^H4390 the midst^H8432 of thee with violence^H2555, and thou hast sinned^H2398: therefore I will cast thee as profane^H2490 out of the mountain^H4480 ^H8432 of God^H430: and I will destroy^H6 thee, O covering^H5526 cherub^H3742, from the midst^H4480 ^H8432 of the stones^H68 of fire^H784.   —>   Father doesn’t like it when anybody gets ahead by deceit and deception, and that was and is how satan tricks Father’s Children to follow him. [28:17] Thine heart^H3820 was lifted up^H1361 because of thy beauty^H3308, thou has corrupted^H7843 thy wisdom^H2451 by reason of^H5921 thy brightness^H3314: I will cast^H7993 thee to^H5921 the ground^H776, I will lay^H5414 thee before^H6440 kings^H4428, that they may behold^H7200 thee.   —>   Father created satan the perfect pattern, and satan’s head became swelled because of it. Therefore, what will Father do? In the First Earth Age, Father cast him down, it was called in the Greek, the “katabole.” At the end of This Earth Age, Father will again cast him down; only this time, as we’ll read in the next verse, He will bring forth fire from within him and devour—consume from within—him. [28:18] Thou hast defiled^H2490 thy sanctuaries^H4720 by the multitude^H4480 ^H7230 of thine iniquities^H5771, by the iniquity^H5766 of thy traffick^H7404; therefore I will bring forth^H3318 a fire^H784 from the midst^H4480 ^H8432 of thee, it^H1931 shall devour^H398 thee, and I will bring^H5414 thee to ashes^H665 upon^H5921 the earth^H776 in the sight^H5869 of all^H3605 them that behold^H7200 thee.   —>   This is the part where Father is The Consuming Fire; when He destroys the soul of one of His children, of which we read of in Matthew 10:28. [28:19] All^H3605 they that know^H3045 thee among the people^H5971 shall be astonished^H8074 at^H5921 thee: thou shalt be^H1961 a terror^H1091, and never^H369 shalt thou be any more^H5704 ^H5769.   —>   Satan will never be anymore, because he suffered the second death, just like all those who follow him—after he is let loose a little season—will also suffer the second death, the death of the soul. They will not enter into the eternity, which is after the great white throne judgment, which is coming up in the next verse. Revelation 20:11 And^G2532 I saw^G1492 a great^G3173 white^G3022 throne^G2362, and^G2532 Him that sat^G2521 on^G1909 it^G846, from^G575 Whose^G3739 face^G4383 the^G3588 earth^G1093 and^G2532 the^G3588 heaven^G3772 fled away^G5343; and^G2532 there was found^G2147 no^G3756 place^G5117 for them^G846.   —>   This is the time when the full Godhead appears on this earth. Who are these who “fled away”? They aren’t the literal earth and heaven; no, they are who were man in the flesh before being changed into their spiritual bodies; and also those who had died in the flesh and were already in their spiritual bodies. Revelation 20:12 And^G2532 I saw^G1492 the^G3588 dead^G3498, small^G3398 and^G2532 great^G3173, stand^G2476 before^G1799 God^G2316; and^G2532 the books^G975 were opened^G455: and^G2532 another^G243 book^G975 was opened^G455, which is^G3603 the book of life^G2222: and^G2532 the^G3588 dead^G3498 were judged^G2919 out of^G1537 those things which were written^G1125 in^G1722 the^G3588 books^G975, according^G2596 to their^G848 works^G2041.   —>   Father is at His Seat of Judgment and all the books are opened for Him to examine and Judge His Children out of. The dead, are the spiritually dead angelic beings who did not over come satan—remember, we are on one of the last days of the Millennium and as such, there are no flesh bodies, and the only souls who have perished is the soul of satan—who perished two verses ago—and the souls of the fallen angels who refused to be born of women. The terms “small and the great” are referring to all of Father’s Children. Their status matters not, for every one of us has to stand before His Throne to be Judged. Judgment doesn’t always mean in the negative sense, we are Judged to receive Good\rewards or punishment. Notice also, that this verse says we are Judged “according to our works.” Our works are the only thing we can take with us from this Age of Flesh man. Sadly, most church’s teach, that we are all judged by the “grace” of God and\or our faith. This is incorrect, as only our salvation comes to us by the “Grace of God” and\or our faith. But our works, they follow us, and they make up our linens — our Spiritual clothing, as can be read in Revelation 14:13, which reads: Revelation 14:13 And^G2532 I heard^G191 a voice^G5456 from^G1537 heaven^G3772 saying^G3004 unto me^G3427, “Write^G1125, ‘Blessed^G3107 are the^G3588 dead^G3498 which die^G599 in^G1772 the Lord^G2962 from henceforth^G534: Yea^G3483, saith^G3004 the^G3588 Spirit^G4151, that^G2443 they may rest^G373 from^G1537 their^G848 labours^G2873; and^G1161 their^G848 works^G2041 do follow^G190 ^G3326 them^G846.’x”, and also Revelation 19:8, which reads: Revelation 19:8 And^G2532 to her^G846 was granted^G1325 that^G2443 she should be arrayed^G4016 in fine linen^G1039, clean^G2513 and^G2532 white^G2986: for^G1063 the^G3588 fine linen^G1039 is^G2076 the^G3588 righteousness^G1345 of saints^G40.   —>   Why are we judged by our works and not “the grace of God” or our faith? Because, there are those, Father’s Elect, who were Judged at the end of the First Earth Age, while they were in their spiritual bodies, as can be read in Revelation 13:8, which reads: Revelation 13:8 And^G2532 all^G3956 that dwell^G2730 upon^G1909 the^G3588 earth^G1093 shall worship^G4352 him^G846, whose^G3739 names^G3686 are not^G3756 written^G1125 in^G1772 the^G3588 book^G976 of life^G2222 of the^G3588 Lamb^G721 slain^G4969 from^G575 the foundation^G2602 of the world^G2889., and it would be unfair of Father to Judge the rest of His Children while they were or are in their flesh bodies, and therefore, they will only be Judged while they also are in their spiritual bodies. And since they are going to be Judged in their spiritual bodies, therefore it stands to reason, that as such, they “see” Jesus in the Millennial Age, and therefore, they are Judged by their works and no longer by faith. Revelation 20:13 And^G2532 the^G3588 sea^G2281 gave up^G1325 the^G3588 dead^G3498 which were in^G1722 it^G846; and^G2532 death^G2288 and^G2532 hell^G86 delivered up^G1325 the^G3588 dead^G3498 which were in^G1722 them^G846: and^G2532 they were judged^G2919 every man^G1538 according^G2596 to their^G848 works^G2041.   —>   Again, it is by our works and not our faith that we are Judged. Who are these “dead?” Don’t forget where we are “on The Lord’s Day — Jesus’ one thousand year reign — the Millennium;” so, these dead are the spiritually dead, not physically dead. These are those who did not accept Christ while they were in the flesh, or they were on the wrong side of the gulf. Revelation 20:14 And^G2532 death^G2288 and^G2532 hell^G86 were cast^G906 into^G1519 the^G3588 lake^G3041 of fire^G4442. This^G3778 is^G2076 the^G3588 second^G1208 death^G2288.   —>   The second death is the turning to ashes, the soul of an angelic being from within. They won’t be burning forever and ever, they are immediately consumed from within. Remember, these are Father’s children and He is a merciful Father, He neither desires nor wants to destroy any of His children; but, because of what they did—i.e., their own actions—He will. After all those who will be destroyed at the Great White Throne Judgment are destroyed, there will never again be any death; no thought of death, nor any sadness. Revelation 20:15 And^G2532 whosoever^G1536 was not^G3756 found^G2147 written^G1125 in^G1722 the^G3588 book^G976 of life^G2222 was cast^G906 into^G1519 the^G3588 lake^G3041 of fire^G4442.   —>   This is Finality for them, and after this, we will remember them no more. For the rest of us, we now are changed into our incorruptible bodies which Paul wrote about in I Corinthians 15, which reads: I Corinthians 15:54 So^G1161 when^G3752 this^G5124 corruptible^G5349 shall have put on^G1746 incorruption^G861, and^G2532 this^G5124 mortal^G2349 shall have put on^G1746 immortality^G110, then^G5119 shall be brought to pass^G1096 the^G3588 saying^G3056 that is written^G1125, “Death^G2288 is swallowed up^G2666 in^G1519 victory^G3534.”   —>   When the souls of all those that are to be consumed, are consumed, their existence will be blotted from our minds, and all that remains is victory and happiness. [15:55] “O death^G2288, where^G4226 is thy^G4675 sting?^G2759 O grave^G86, where^G4226 is thy^G4675 victory^G3534?”   —>   All souls which remain alive at the second resurrection will be able to say this saying, for they will be immortal and will live for all eternity. [15:56] ^G1161The^G3588 sting^G2759 of death^G2288 is sin^G266; and^G1161 the^G3588 strength^G1411 of sin^G266 is the^G3588 law^G3551. [15:57] But^G1161 thanks^G5485 be to God^G2316, which giveth^G1325 us^G2254 the^G3588 victory^G3534 through^G1223 our^G2257 Lord^G2962 Jesus^G2424 Christ^G5547.   —>   Amen.

Exodus 12:11 And thus^H3602 shall ye eat^H398 it; with your loins^H4975 girded^H2296, your shoes^H5275 on your feet^H7272, and your staff^H4731 in your hand^H3027; and ye shall eat^H398 it in haste^H2649: it^H1931 is the LORD’S^H3068 passover^H6453.   —>   They were to be prepared, having everything completed and their clothes on their backs for the leaving of their bondage to the Egyptians and the land of Egypt.

These were the instructions that Father gave to Moses and Aaron to give to the Israelites about following Father’s commandments\instructions concerning their slaying and eating of His Passover. Did you notice that there’ll be no hunting of eggs, no bunnies—an unclean animal Father will direct not to eat—and no orgies; all symbolic of fertility and the celebrating of the goddess ishtar, involved in this — His Passover. We Christians do not celebrate “easter.” Do you realize that word is only mentioned once in Father’s Word, in Acts 12:4; and even there, it was\is a mis-translation, for, though in the KJV it is translated that word, in the manuscripts it is PASSOVER, and, if you were to research, the other word, the one in the KJV, you will find it even in the Strong’s Concordance, Greek word number G3957, - πάσχα, - pascha, - pronounced: pas’-khah, and means: Of Chaldee origin (compare [H6453]); the Passover (the meal, the day, the festival or the special sacrifices connected with it): - Easter, Passover. Total KJV occurrences: 29.. Notice the Greek word is used 29 times in the New Testament; however, only one time is it translated out “easter,” every other time in the New Testament it is translated out to Passover. Though the Greek word is of Chaldee origin, it still goes back to Hebrew; so, now let’s look in the Strong’s Concordance, at Hebrew word number H6453, when we do, we find: H6453, - פּסח, - pesach, - pronounced: pehי-sakh, and means: From H6452; a pretermission, that is, exemption; used only technically of the Jewish Passover (the festival or the victim): - passover (offering). Total KJV occurrences: 49.. The other word is derived from the pagan celebration of ishtar, the fertility goddess held every spring, to give thanks to “the gods” of fertility. How did they celebrate this abominable ugliness? they did so by hunting of rolling eggs, and giving rabbits, and dressing in colorful spring clothing. So, what did they do after celebrating the goddess of ishtar? The sacrificed their children by throwing them into the fire: think abortion today. Go ahead, do some research on it.

…passover…=This Passover is one of the ten recorded Passovers in Father’s Word: Exodus 12:11,21,27; Numbers 9:5; Joshua 5:10; II Chronicles 30:13-15; II Kings 22:22—which is connected with II Chronicles 35:1; Ezra 6:19; Matthew 26:17; Luke 2:41; John 2:13; and 6:4.

Exodus 12:12 For I will pass through^H5674 the land^H776 of Egypt^H4714 this^H2088 night^H3915, and will smite^H5221 all^H3605 the firstborn^H1060 in the land^H776 of Egypt^H4714, both man^H4480 ^H120 and beast^H929; and against all^H3605 the gods^H430 of Egypt^H4714 I will execute^H6213 judgment^H8201: I^H589 am the LORD^H3068.   —>   This is the whole reason Father told Abram way back in Genesis 15 that He was going to send Abram’s children down here to Egypt, in order to execute judgment upon them for their worshipping false gods. Remember also, all one has to do is turn from following and worshipping a false god, and then your judgment is rewards, not punishment. Father cannot be any more loving than that; love and worship Him, and it will be well with you; love and worship false gods — self, money, material things, etc., and it will not be well for you.

Exodus 12:13 And the blood^H1818 shall be^H1961 to you for a token^H226 upon^H5921 the houses^H1004 where^H834 ye^H853 are: and when I see^H7200 ^H853 the blood^H1818, I will pass^H6452 over^H5921 you, and the plague^H5063 shall not^H3808 be^H1961 upon you to destroy^H4889 you, when I smite^H5221 the land^H776 of Egypt^H4714.   —>   The blood shall be to you for a token=For man in the flesh in this Age, Father requires we “walk by Faith, and, not by sight;” however, by our forefathers complying, Father saw their faith. The blood was a token for YHVH. Faith in the fact that it had been sprinkled, gave peace to all within. It was—and is—not the act of faith which secured, but, the truth that was believed. If no blood, belief that it was there gave no security. If blood there, doubt as to the fact would destroy peace, but, could not destroy the security, because that was grounded on YHVH’S Word, and faith consists in “hearing” that.

…when I see the blood…=Not when you “feel,” or, even believe. So the scarlet cord of Joshua 2:18-19 was for Joshua to see, not for those within Rahab’s house. Feelings are useless apart from faith.

…I will pass over…=This is where, and, how, Father names His PASSOVER, His Holy Day; because, when the blood of the lamb was seen on the door posts of our forefathers houses—and even Egyptians who complied—then His death angel PASSED OVER their houses, and everybody who was covered by the “Blood of the Lamb” was saved.

Today, we too need to be covered by the Blood of the Lamb; only, we place the symbolical blood over our hearts, but also, by the taking of the Holy Sacraments of Communion, we do indeed partake of the Blood of the Lamb, each time we partake in Communion.

Exodus 12:14 And this^H2088 day^H3117 shall be^H1961 unto you for a memorial^H2146; and ye shall keep^H2287 it a feast^H2282 to the LORD throughout your generations^H1755; ye shall keep it a feast^H2287 by an ordinance^H2708 for ever^H5769. —> Our forefathers were never to forget this day, and that it was Father Who led them out of their bondage to the Egyptians, and we today, likewise are never to forget that it was Jesus’ Sacrifice which removed the bondage of sin from us, thus making this day — The PASSOVER, the High Sabbath Day of Christianity. We are never to forget this day, and we are to celebrate it year-after-year forever.

No, today we don’t select a lamb and slaughter it on the 10^th day of the month, as, that would be sacrilegious and a abomination to Father, as, He already paid the price for one and all times by offering up His body as His sacrifice.

We are to put sin away from us. Yes, we partake of the unleavened cracker when we partake of Communion; but, today, we partake of Christ every day, and we repent of our sins every day: thereby putting our sin away from us.

…leaven…=This is the first occurrence of this word in Father’s Word, and, it significantly marks it as something to be “put away” from us. There is no dispute as to the meaning of the word itself, which is sour or fermenting dough. The difference though, lies in its interpretation. (1) This can be gathered only from its usage by the Holy Spirit: It is used of its work in permeating the whole of that with which it is mixed—Hosea 7:4; Matthew 13:33; Luke 13:21; I Corinthians 5:6; and Galatians 5:9; (2) it is used of the bread which is made from the meal so permeated—Exodus 12:15,19,20,34,39; and 13:7 (3) it is used in connection with sacrifices, as never to be offered to God with any offering made by fire—Leviticus 2:11; 6:17; and 10:12; (4) it is used by Metaphor for doctrine—Matthew 16:12; Mark 8:15; and Galatians 5:9; (5) it is used of the effects of evildoers—I Corinthians 5:6-8; and 15:33; (6) in Leviticus 23:17 it is used in that which symbolizes mankind, and in a proper sense of being corrupted. The sin-offering associated with the leaven in the two wave-loaves corresponds with this; (7) and in Amos 4:4,5 it is either the language or Figure of Irony; or, it shows that the “thanksgiving with leaven” is symbolical of the sin which is ever present even in the worshippers of God — Thus, in every instance, it is associated with, and symbolical of, only that which is evil.

People argue which day is the sabbath: Saturday or Sunday? Well, today, we no longer set aside just one day, as every day single day should be set aside for Father and Son. Every day we should be walking with Them; talking, loving and Worshipping Them and Studying the Letter Father gave to us in order to learn more about Him and His plan. Yes, from the day Father led our forefathers out of Egypt, to the day of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross, our forefathers had to keep this day, wherein, only the Priests were allowed to work. What was their work? Bringing forth Father’s Word to the People. The families themselves were not allowed to work, i.e., they were not allowed to do “make money employment.” They were allowed to feed the herds, the cattle, and themselves; but, no employment. Why? Because, as I said, the Priests were to bring forth Father’s Word, and everybody was to gather together at one time to hear it. This is what Father demanded on His Feast Days, three times a year they were to all gather as a whole and hear the Word of Father: The Law.

So, we are to get the sin out of our lives, and it is a sin to worship any man-made pagan celebrations, especially on Father’s High Sabbath. Let’s go and look at what Jesus said, let’s turn to Matthew 15: Matthew 15:1 Then^G5119 came^G4334 to Jesus^G2424 scribes^G1122 and^G2532 Pharisees^G5330, which^G3588 were of^G575 Jerusalem^G2414, saying^G3004,   —>   Uh oh, here come “the boys from downtown,” and they’re again, about to—like their father satan—attempt to tempt The Living Word—The LOGOS, specifically (with the article in John) the Divine Expression (that is, Christ)—Emmanuel, God in the flesh, God with us—as though that can be done. Did you notice the phrase: “which were of Jerusalem?” This means they were not of the House of Judah, nor were they Levites—to learn more about these scribes and Pharisees, you can read my Topical Study, click here—yet, they sit in the seat of Moses and Aaron, meaning, they were usurpers, running both the Law and the Priesthood, where they had absolutely no business being, and Jesus knew this. [15:2] “Why^G1302 do Thy^G4675 disciples^G3101 transgress^G3845 the^G3588 tradition^G3862 of the^G3588 elders^G4245? for^G1063 they wash^G3538 not^G3756 their^G848 hands^G5495 when^G3752 they eat^G2068 bread^G740.”   —>   The scribes and Pharisees are asking Jesus why He was not teaching His disciples the traditions of man? Can you think of any other traditions of man? How about the very one we’re discussing in this Chapter of Exodus 12, or, maybe, ash-wednesday, lent, good Friday, the rapture doctrine, the speaking a babylonian tongue, snake handling, or the drinking of poisons—all traditions of man and not Biblical, Leviticus 23 breaks-down, chronicles and details the Three Feasts of Father: 23:5-8 Passover, 23:9-14 Feast of Unleavened Bread, 23:15-21 Pentecost, 23:23-25 Trumpets, 23:26-32 Atonement, and 23:33-36 Tabernacles? Let’s listen to how our Lord handles the pharisees and sadducees—and those today who practice and celebrate these things: [15:3] But^G1161 He^G3588 answered^G611 and said^G2036 unto them^G846, “Why^G1302 do ye^G5210 also^G5235 transgress^G3845 the^G3588 commandment^G1785 of God^G2316 by^G1223 your^G5216 tradition^G3862?”   —>   Man-made traditions and holidays which purport to celebrate the things of our Father, when He didn’t sanction them, only transgress Father’s Commandments, Laws, Ordinances and Statutes, and offend Him and are an abomination to Him. Let’s skip down a few verses and read what Jesus says: [15:6] And^G2532 honour^G5091 not^G3364 his^G848 father^G3962 or^G2228 his^G848 mother^G3384, he shall be free.’ Thus^G2532 have ye made the commandment of God of none effect^G208 ^G3588 ^G1785 ^G2316 by^G1223 your^G5216 tradition^G3862.   —>   Jesus continues, what else does He say to them and us? [15:7] Ye hypocrites^G5273 (in the Greek tongue, this means play actors, are you one?), well^G2573 did Esaias^G2268 prophesy^G4395 of^G4012 you, saying^G3004, [15:8] ‘This^G3778 people^G2992 draweth nigh^G1448 unto me^G3427 with their^G848 mouth^G4750, and^G2532 honoureth^G5091 Me^G3165 with their lips^G5491; but^G1161 their^G846 heart^G2588 is^G568 far^G4206 from^G575 Me^G1700.”   —>   Though you may think you are doing something holy by celebrating “easter” or any of the other man-made traditions; in reality, they only serve to draw us away from Father. Sadly, there are many who walk through a church’s doors today, if they like what they see, they’ll stay, if they don’t, they don’t return. The most important issue any body should hear or observe, is whether Father’s Word is being taught Verse–by–Verse, Chapter–by–Chapter, and Book–by–Book, not man’s traditions. When a person is called to teach Father’s Word, it is Father Who is supposed to be the One Who calls them — not a group of men within the church. The Selection Board had better be very careful in their selection process, and ensure that the one they are selecting is truly called by Father, and does not have some other motive within their own mind, there is a big difference. Be careful of those who like to “play church.” One of my favorite Biblical Scholars, Dr. E.W. Bullinger makes one of his quotes—a favorite of mine—“Religion is not a gradual evolution to what is higher, but a declension to what is lower” — and that is exactly what happens when we don’t teach Verse–by–Verse, Chapter–by–Chapter, and Book–by–Book. [15:9] But^G1161 in vain^G3155 they do worship^G4576 Me^G3165, teaching^G1321 for doctrines^G1319 the commandments^G1778 of men^G444.’i”   —>   What did Jesus just say? They teach for doctrine the commandments of man. Brethren, it’s awful late in the game, meaning, we’re drawing close to the end of this Age, and it’s time to put away the traditions of man and stick with Truth in Father’s Word! In other words, if Father didn’t tell us to celebrate it, don’t.

Let’s go now and listen to Paul tell of this, let’s turn to I Corinthians 10: I Corinthians 10:20 But^G235 I say, that^G3754 the things which^G3739 the^G3885 Gentiles^G1484 sacrifice^G2380, they sacrifice^G2380 to devils^G1140, and^G1161 not^G3756 to God^G2316: and^G1161 I would^G2309 not^G3756 that ye^G5209 should have^G1096 fellowship^G2844 with devils^G1140. [10:21] Ye cannot^G1410 ^G3756 drink^G4095 the cup^G4221 of the LORD^G2962, and^G2532 the cup^G4221 of devils^G1140: ye cannot^G1410 ^G3756 be partakers^G3348 of the LORD’S^G2962 table^G5132, and^G2532 of the table^G5132 of devils^G1140.   —>   Paul is telling us, that the two just do not mix. Let’s turn to The First Epistle of Timothy and listen in one more time: I Timothy 4:1 Now^G1161 the^G3588 Spirit^G4151 speaketh^G3004 expressly^G4490, that^G3754 in^G1722 the latter^G5306 times^G2540 some^G5100 shall depart^G868 from the^G3588 faith^G4102, giving heed^G4337 to seducing^G4108 spirits^G4151, and^G2532 doctrines^G1319 of devils^G1140; —> Stay away from these seducing spirits, for they come from satan himself.

Exodus 12:18 In the first^H7223 month, on the fourteenth^H702 ^H6240 day^H3117 of the month^H2320 at even^H6153, ye shall eat^H398 unleavened bread^H4682, until^H5704 the one^H259 and twentieth^H6242 day^H3117 of the month^H2320 at even^H6153.   —>   …The first month…=It was and is, Father, Who established when the year began, and, He said it begins on the Spring Vernal Equinox. Think of that for a moment. Father is not the author of confusion, and, to start the year on any other day, would mean that the day changes every year—much like “easter” does every year—and there would be no set day; however, with the day set, then the day of Passover is the same every year: no confusion — like there is with that pagan celebration.

So, we are to count 14 days from the Spring Vernal Equinox, and at sunset begins the next day. So, at sunset on the 14^th day begins the day of Passover. It is the same day year-after-year, never changing. It cannot get any more simpler than that.

Exodus 12:19 Seven^H7651 days^H3117 shall there be no^H3808 leaven^H7603 found^H4672 in your houses:^H1004 for^H3588 whosoever^H3605 eateth^H398 that which is leavened,^H2557 even that^H1931 soul^H5315 shall be cut off^H3772 from the congregation^H4480 ^H5712 of Israel^H3478, whether he be a stranger,^H1616 or born^H249 in the land.^H776   —>   Then they had to comply with the physical bread, and it had to be unleavened; today, we comply by putting sin out of our lives for the seven days. Of course, nobody can completely comply with this, as, we all fall short of the Glory of our Father, and He knows this. So, we go to him at night and repent and ask for His forgiveness, and therefore, we have complied.

What are some of the things we can do though to try and comply? How about putting away false Teachings and traditions of man? What about turning off the TV or computer, or, at least, programs which are not wholesome or do not bring glory to Father? Those are things we can do to get the leaven out of our lives for this seven day period.

Think also brethren, when Jesus’ disciples asked Him how we are to pray to Father, He answered them, and said to pray this way: Matthew 6:11 Give^G1325 us^G2254 this day^G4594 our^G2257 daily^G1967 bread.^G740   —>   Then, later, in John 6 He told His disciples: John 6:32 Then^G3767 Jesus^G2424 said^G2036 unto them,^G846 “Verily,^G281 verily,^G281 I say^G3004 unto you,^G5213 Moses^G3475 gave^G1325 you^G5213 not^G3756 that bread^G740 from^G1537 heaven;^G3772 but^G235 My^G3450 Father^G3962 giveth^G1325 you^G5213 the^G3588 true^G228 bread^G740 from^G1537 heaven.^G3772 [6:33] For^G1063 the^G3588 bread^G740 of God^G2316 is He which cometh down^G2597 from^G1537 heaven,^G3772 and^G2532 giveth^G1325 life^G2222 unto the^G3588 world.^G2889” [6:34] Then^G3767 said^G2036 they unto^G4314 Him,^G846 “LORD,^G2962 evermore^G3842 give^G1325 us^G2254 this^G5126 bread.^G740”   —>   How about you brethrenx do you ask for This Bread? [6:35] And^G1161 Jesus^G2424 said^G2036 unto them, “I^G1473 am^G1510 the^G3588 bread^G740 of life:^G2222 he that cometh^G2064 to^G4314 Me^G3165 shall never^G3364 hunger;^G3983 and^G2532 he that believeth^G4100 on^G1519 Me^G1691 shall never^G3364 thirst.^G1372   —>   Jesus Christ is our bread today, completely free from all leaven; but, if you eat of any other spiritual bread, i.e., if you listen to any false preachers or follow any other god or religious beliefs, you are eating leavened bread. Father knows that there is a True Lamb, and, He warned us in Revelation 13:11 that there is another lamb: Revelation 13:11 And^G2532 I beheld^G1492 another^G243 beast^G2342 coming up^G305 out of^G1537 the^G3588 earth;^G1093 and^G2532 he had^G2192 two^G1417 horns^G2768 like^G3664 a lamb,^G721 and^G2532 he spake^G2980 as^G5613 a dragon.^G1404   —>   The pretend-to-be-jesus—satan in his role of the anti-christ—comes before the True Lamb of God—our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God—have you been taught this? By that time, Father’s death Angel would have passed over their house, and they would then be safe to go outside.

Before we go any further, let’s again look at some of the reasons why Father YHVH was going to do this. Let’s again look back at Genesis 15:13-14: Genesis 15:13 And He said^H559 unto Abram,^H87 “Know of a surety^H3045 ^H3045 that^H3588 thy seed^H2233 shall be^H1961 a stranger^H1616 in a land^H776 that is not^H3808 theirs, (and shall serve^H5647 them; and they shall afflict^H6031 them) four^H702 hundred^H3967 years;^H8141 [15:14] And also^H1571 ^H853 that nation,^H1471 whom^H834 they shall serve,^H5647 will I^H595 judge:^H1777 and afterward^H310 ^H3651 shall they come out^H3318 with great^H1419 substance.^H7399   —>   OK, let’s see why else,, He already told us earlier in this chapter, in verse Exodus 12:12 above: Exodus 12:12 For I will pass through^H5674 the land^H776 of Egypt^H4714 this^H2088 night,^H3915 and will smite^H5221 all^H3605 the firstborn^H1060 in the land^H776 of Egypt,^H4714 both man^H4480 ^H120 and beast;^H929 and against all^H3605 the gods^H430 of Egypt^H4714 will I execute^H6213 judgment:^H8201 I^H589 am the LORD.^H3068   —>   Father was showing all the world that He judges all other false gods, and let’s look one more place, Exodus 14, where we read: Exodus 14:4 And I will harden^H2388 ^H853 Pharaoh’s^H6547 heart,^H3820 that he shall follow^H7291 after^H310 them; and I will be honoured^H3513 upon Pharaoh,^H5647 and upon all^H3605 his host;^H2428 that the Egyptians^H4714 may know^H3045 that^H3588 I^H589 am the LORD.^H3068 And they did^H6213 so.^H3651   —>   So, Father was executing His judgment on the Egyptians and their gods so that the Egyptians and all the world would know that He and He alone is God. So then, all the Israelites were to put this blood of the lamb upon their door posts, and He would passover them and keep them in safety and any that would come under the blood of the lamb, even any of the Egyptians.

Exodus 12:24 And ye shall observe^H8104 ^H853 this^H2088 thing^H1697 for an ordinance^H2706 to thee and thy sons^H1121 forever.^H5704 ^H5769   —>   Our forefathers, and us living even to this day, were to continue to observe His Passover throughout all their generations—offspring, posterity, and\or ages of time. Father’s Passover IS the High Sabbath of all Christianity, and to belittle it and demean it by following after heathen customs and practices, is an abomination to our Father. Which would you rather do, please man by following him, or please our Loving Father by listening to what He is teaching us? Let’s see what Jesus taught us in the New Testament, in Matthew 26: Matthew 26:17 Now^G1161 the^G3588 first^G4413 day of the^G3588 feast of unleavened bread^G106 the^G3588 disciples^G3101 came^G4334 to Jesus,^G2424 saying^G3004 unto Him,^G846 “Where^G4226 wilt^G2309 Thou that we prepare^G2090 for Thee^G4671 to eat^G5315 the^G3588 passover?”^G3957   —>   Jesus’ pupils knew that they were to observe and keep the Passover, and they knew also that Jesus observed the Passover, and so they asked Him where He would like to celebrate it. [26:18] And^G1161 He^G3588 said,^G2036 “Go^G5217 into^G1519 the^G3588 city^G4172 to^G4314 such a man,^G1170 and^G2532 say^G2036 unto him,^G846 ‘The^G3588 Master^G1320 saith,^G3004 ‘My^G3450 time^G2540 is^G2076 at hand;^G1451 I will keep^G4160 the^G3588 passover^G3957 at^G4314 thy house^G4571 with^G3326 My^G3450 disciples.’x’x”^G3101 [26:19] And^G2532 the^G3588 disciples^G3101 did^G4160 as^G5613 Jesus^G2424 had appointed^G4929 them;^G846 and^G2532 they made ready^G2090 the^G3588 passover.^G3957   —>   He answers—and notice this is already pre-arranged—and tells them to go to a certain man’s house and tell him, that Jesus’ time to be crucified is about to come to pass, and He will celebrate the Passover at the man’s house. The disciples didn’t find this unusual, nor did they question Jesus, they did as they were told. We too should be so obedient.

Exodus 12:25 And it shall come to pass,^H1961 when^H3588 ye be come^H935 to^H413 the land^H776 which^H834 the LORD will give you,^H3068 according as^H834 He hath promised,^H1696 that ye shall keep^H8104 ^H853 this^H2063 service.^H5656   —>   No matter what land they were in, or where Father YHVH moved them, they were to observe and keep His Passover every year. Think of this, Father had them perform His Passover in Egypt, while wandering in the Wilderness for those thirty-eight years, when they entered in to the Promised Land—the land of Canaan—and even when He had the House of Israel captured by the Assyrians, and then later scattered and then the House of Judah when He had them captured by the Babylonians.

Exodus 12:26 And it shall come to pass,^H1961 when^H3588 your children^H1121 shall say^H559 unto^H413 you, “What^H4100 mean ye by this^H2063 service?”^H5656   —>   There is going to come a time in the future, when your children are going to ask you “why you are observing the Passover?,” and it is then, that you shall reply, “because it is the LORD’S Passover.” There is even going to come a time, when every other Christian who is observing “easter,” while you observe the LORD’S Passover, that, they will ask you why you are observing the Passover and not “easter,” and, you shall say to them, “It is the LORD’S Passover, and we have no right to change it, to rename it, to change the date we are to celebrate it, nor to change from serving our GOD to serving the false gods and idols like ishtar.

Exodus 12:27 That ye shall say,^H559 ‘It is the sacrifice^H2077 of the LORD’S^H3068 Passover,^H6453 Who^H834 passed^H6452 over^H5921 the houses^H1004 of the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 in Egypt,^H4714 when He smote^H5062 ^H853 the Egyptians,^H4714 and delivered^H5337 our houses.’x”^H1004 And the People^H5971 bowed the head^H6915 and worshipped.^H7812   —>   Father knew that there was going to come a day when His children would forsake Him, it had happened in the past, during satan’s rebellion in the first earth Age, so it was no surprise to Him that is was going to happen again, and He wanted these children—the seedline through which He Himself would come in the flesh—to keep this and pass it down to their children, in order to show the rest of His children—all the other races—how to serve and worship Him.

Exodus 12:28 And the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 went away,^H1980 and did^H6213 as^H834 the LORD^H3068 had commanded^H6680 ^H853 Moses^H4872 and Aaron,^H175 so^H3651 did^H6213 they.   —>   After receiving their instructions from Father YHVH, the children of Israel did as they were told, and, they also worshipped Father.

The apostle Paul stated in I Corinthians 5:6-8, that Jesus became our Passover, can you show me in Father’s Word, where Jesus became our easter? The answer is “No you cannot,” because, it is NOT in Father’s Word that Jesus became our easter. We celebrate our sins being covered by the Blood of The LAMB, not by His resurrection. The miracle wasn’t in the resurrection, as, of course He resurrected, He wouldn’t be ELOHIM if He didn’t resurrect. We read in Ecclesiastes 12:6-7, that everybody—our souls—returns to the Father when we die, so, we all resurrect — i.e., ascend up to Father.

Let’s turn now to Leviticus 23 and read of the three Feasts of Father to be conducted during the month of Ehtanim:

Leviticus 23:1 And the LORD^H3068 spake^H1696 unto^H413 Moses,^H4872 saying,^H559   —>   Father is now going to tell Moses and us which Feasts we are to hold fast to and celebrate every year and when we are to celebrate them.

Leviticus 23:2 “Speak^H1696 unto^H413 the children^H1121 of Israel,^H3478 and say^H559 unto^H413 them, ‘Concerning the feasts^H4150 of the LORD,^H3068 which^H834 ^(H853) ye shall proclaim^H7121 to be holy^H6944 convocations,^H4744 even these^H428 are My feasts.^H4150   —>   Father is very plain and direct: we are to proclaim His Feasts as Holy Convocations, they are His Feasts. Again, as they are His Feasts, we as His Children, His creation, have no right to change them in any way, shape, or form! We have no right to change the Day, the name, or anything else concerning them.

…holy…=Separated or Set apart—for Father. There were/are seven things Father considers to be Holy, three of which were/are considered Holy and four considered Most Holy: the Thank Offerings; the First Born, and the First Fruits were considered Holy; the incense Offering; the Shewbread; the Sin and Tresspass Offerings which were grouped together, and the Meal Offering were considered to be Most Holy. From Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible, page 76, where we read: “This is ever the cry and noblest praise of all of Father’s saints and can be compared with Exodus 15:11: Exodus 15:11 Who^H4310 is like unto Thee,^H3644 O LORD,^H3068 among the gods?^H410 Who^H4310 is like Thee,^H3644 glorious^H142 in holiness,^H6944 Fearful^H3372 in praises,^H8416 doing^H6213 wonders?^H6382. Holy means separated or set apart for Father. It is always rendered of the Hebrew word “Kodesh” from the Strong’s Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H6944, - קֹדֶש, - qôdesh, - pronounced: koי-desh, and means: From H6942; a sacred place or thing; rarely abstractly sanctity: - consecrated (thing), dedicated (thing), hallowed (thing), holiness, (X most) holy (X day, portion, thing), saint, sanctuary. Total KJV occurrences: 470., except in Psalms 42:4 where is it rendered “Hagag” H2287, - חָגַג, - châgag, - pronounced: khaw-gagי, and means: A primitive root; compare H2283; H2328; properly to move in a circle, that is, (specifically) to march in a sacred procession, to observe a festival; by implication to be giddy: - celebrate, dance, (keep, hold) a (solemn) feast (holiday), reel to and fro. Total KJV occurrences: 16., = holy day, and Deuteronomy 33:8, Psalms 16:2, 86:2, 89:19, 145:17 where it is rendered “Hasid” H2623, - חָסִיד, - châsı̂yd, - pronounced: khaw-seedי, and means: From H2616; properly kind; that is, (religiously) pious (a saint): - godly (man), good, holy (one), merciful, saint, [un-] godly. Ttotal KJV occurrences: 32., = favor or grace. “Kodesh” must have one identical meaning (as above) in all passages; and does not imply moral quality except when used of God Himself. It can also be rendered “consecrated,” “dedicated,” “hallowed,” “holiness,” “saint,” and “sanctuary.”.”

…convocations…=Let’s again turn to our Strong’s Concordance and check this word out, when we do, we find that it is Hebrew word number: H4744, - מִקְרָא, - miqrâ', - pronounced: mik-rawי, and means: From H7121; something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the palce); also a rehearsal: - assembly, calling, convocation, reading. Total KJV occurrences: 23.. As we see, these convocations were a calling together for special occasions such as the Sabbaths, the Feasts etc., they were religious in nature, and they were also purposed for “reading” Father’s Word to the entire congregation, so they could “hear” Father’s Word, His Law. Though the word “hear,” is not mentioned here, we read in Deuteronomy 6:4 the following: Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear,^H8085 O Israel:^H3478 The LORD^H3068 our God^H430 is one^H259 LORD:^H3068   —>   It is our—man’s—no gender implied, as we are all Father’s children—duty to hear and learn Father’s Word, it is what He desires of us, as we read in 1H6Hosea 6:6, which reads: Hosea 6:6 For^H3588 I desired^H2654 mercy,^H2617 (love) and not^H3808 sacrifice;^H2077 and the knowledge^H1847 of God^H430 more than burnt offerings.^H4480 ^H5930   —>   Two things Father wants and desires from us, our love of Him, and us to have knowledge of Him, and we can only attain His Knowledge through reading and studying His Word. Dr. Bullinger has an excellent note concerning the word “hear” in his Companion Bible at Deuteronomy 6:4, that I’d like to bring in here: “In the Hebrew text the word “hear” (shâma‛) has the last letter majuscular (i.e. large than the others) as also the last letter of the last word (יechād) to emphasize “the first and great commandment” (Matthew 22:38, Mark 12:29,30). These two letters taken together make יed = “a witness”, because God is a witness and looketh on the heart (I Samuel 16:7). In Hebrew sh^emיa yiśrâ'êl yehôvâh 'ĕlôhı̂ym yehôvâh יechâd = “Hear, O Israel, Yehovah (the Self and ever existing One), our Elohim is one Yehovah”. One יehâd = a compound unity (Lat. unus), one made up of others: Genesis 1:5,…one of the trinity: Genesis 49:16… Hebrew of all other words for “one” is יechâd.”.

Father continues and lays out His different Feasts in this Chapter: verses v23:5-8 cover His Passover, verses v23:9-14 cover His Feast of Unleavened Bread, verses v23:15-21 cover His Feast of Weeks, what we call Pentecost, verse v23:22 covers the Harvest, verses v23:24-25 cover His Feast of Trumpets, verses v23:26-32 cover The Day of Atonement, verses v23:33-36 cover His Feast of Tabernacles, verses v23:39-43 cover The Seventh Month. …seventh month…=As I said at the beginning of this Study, the seventh month is a very sacred month, as there are three Feasts which occur this month. Breaking down the number seven though, the number seven denotes Spiritual Perfection. From Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendix 10, we read the following: “It is the number or hall-mark of the Holy Spirit’s work. He is the Author of God’s Word, and seven is stamped on it as the water-mark is seen in the manufacture of paper. He is the Author and Giver of life; and seven is the number which regulates every period of Incubation and Gestation, in insects, birds, animals, and man.”. THe seventh month of course is Ethanim or Tisri; every seven years is a Sabbitical year; after seven sets of seven is a Sabbitical year, with the following year, the fiftieth year being a Jubilee year; the year in which everything was set back to Father’s natural order of things, i.e., if a man had subjected himself as a bondsman to another man, on the Jubilee year, he was released from his bondship and now became a free man etc..

…sabbath…=Let’s check out this word sabbath in our Strong’s Concordance brethren, when we do, we find that it is Hebrew word number: H7677, - שַׁבָּתוֹן, - shabbâthôn, - pronounced: shabbâthônי, and means: From H7676; a sabbatism or special holiday: - rest, sabbath. Total KJV occurrences: 11.. I know Dr. Strong says it’s from H7676, however, I’m going to go to its Prime, to H7673: H7673, - שָׁבַת, - shâbath, - pronounced: shâbathי, and means: A primitive root; to repose, that is, desist from exertion; used in many implied relations (causatively, figuratively or specifically): - (cause to, let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep (sabbath), suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away. Total KJV occurrences: 71.. So, as we see, this is a Special Day, a Day of Rest.

…a memorial…=Let’s again turn to our Strong’s Concordance to check this word out brethren, when we do, we find that it is Hebrew word number: H2146, - זִכְרוֹן, - zikrôn, - pronounced: zik-roneי, and means: From H2142; a memento (or memorable thing, day or writing): - memorial, record. Total KJV occurrences: 24.. Now let’s check out H2142, we find that it means: H2142, - זָכַר, - zâkar, - pronounced: zâkarי, and means: A primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that isv to remember; by implication to mention; also (as denominative from H2145) to be male: - X burn [incense], X earnestly, be male, (make) mention (of), be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, X still, think on, X well. Total KJV occurrences: 231.. So this Special Day of Rest is to be mindful of, be Remembered and thought on for all time.

…trumpets…=When we usually think of a trumpet, we think of a smallish, shiny brass instrument, usally found in an Orchestra or Jazz band. These trumpets were nothing like what we would see today, these trumpets were the shofar trumpets in the Hebrew tongue, and rather than the higher notes we hear coming out of todays trumpets, the sound coming out of the shofar trumpets was a lower toned sound which could be heard for long distances. These shofar trumpets were used for a variety of reasons, such as when the House of Israel moved camp as they wandered the wilderness or when Father through Moses wanted the leaders of the Tribes to gather, etc..

How was this day celebrated? As the entire House of Israel was present, these being Sacrificed and Offered would not be enough to feed the entire House, so the People also had to bring their Offerings, the Priests were busy men during these gatherings.

That then concludes the Feast of the Blowing of the Trumpets. The next Feast—the Second Feast of this month of Ethanim—was ten days later when they celebrated The Day of Atonement, when again, everybody of the House of Israel had to be present. Then we come to the Third Feast of this month the Feast of Tabernacles. Let’s skip down a few verses to v23:33:

This was a Feast of Father, one which He designated they were to celebrate every year. It was more a symbol for a future event when all His Children would be harvested back to Him at Jesus’ Second Advent, the beginning of His 1,000 Millennial reign.

…gifts…vows…Freewill Offering…=The Dedicatory gifts, Frist-Fruits, Tithes and the Heave Offerings; all of these Sacrifices of the Feasts were to be given in addition to those just mentioned.

It is for this reason that I post the Strong’s numbers. In the first usage, we find that the word boughs is Strong’s Hebrew word number: H6529, - פְּרִי, - perı̂y, - pronounced: per-eeי, and means: From H6509; fruit (literally or figuratively): - bough, ([first-]) fruit ([-ful]), reward. Total KJV occurrences: 119.. So, in the first usage, we see the word boughs means fruit. Now let’s look at the second usage, in the Strong’s Concordance, it is Hebrew word number: H6057, - עָנָףi, - יânâph, - pronounced: aw-nawfי, and means: From an unused root meaning to cover; a twig (as covering the limbs): - bough, branch. Total KJV occurrences: 7.. Here in the second usage, we see that the word boughs means: branches. All together then, what this verse is saying, is that, our forefathers were to gather, or harvest their fruit, or the first fruits of their crops, build huts with the branches which they had intertwinned together. This was symbolical in order to remind them that it was Father Who brought them out of Egypt, lead them through the wilderness and protected them in their journeying as He was leading them to The Promised Land; and they were to celebrate and rejoice that He was doing so. This was the reason Father assigned the Feast of Tabernacles.

Total KJV occurrences: 272.. So, the verse should read: “In order that your generations may know…” and I’ll add, and never forget.

…I brought them out of the land of Egypt…=It was Father Who told Abram that He would send his children down into a land that was not theirs, the land of Egypt, and it was Father Who told Abram that He would bring them out again. Why was He going to do this? The answer to that question was two-fold: first, as we read in Genesis 15:16: “…for^H3588 the iniquity^H5771 of the Amorites^H567 is not^H3808 yet^H5704 ^H2008 full.^H8003.” What was the iniquity of the Amorites? They were mating with the fallen angels and He allowed that to continue so that He could grow Israel to where they had an army large enough whereby they would not be afraid to engage them in battle, even though it would be Father Who defeated the Amorites; and two, as we read in Exodus 7:5: “And the Egyptians^H4714 shall know^H3045 that^H3588 I^H589 am the LORD,^H3068….”

…I brought them…=It was Father Who brought our forefathers up, out of the land of Egypt, He was That pillar of fire by night, the cloud which led them during the day, and He had them construct booths for their dwelling.

…I am the LORD your God=And again, I’ll quote from Deuteronomy 4:39 “…There is none^H369 else^H5750”.

Exodus 23:14-17 and Deuteronomy 16:16 provide our answer to that question. Exodus 23:14-17 goes into a little more detail, however, that Book, Chapter, and those Verses leaves out the Feast of Weeks, therefore, I’ll take it from Deuteronomy 16:16, which reads: Deuteronomy 16:16 Three^H7969 times^H6471 in a year^H8141 shall all^H3605 thy males^H2138 appear^H7200 ^(H853) before^H6440 the LORD^H3068 thy God^H430 in the place^H4725 which^H834 He shall choose;^H977 in the feast^H2822 of unleavened bread,^H4682 and in the feast^H2282 of weeks,^H7620 and in the feast^H2282 of tabernacles:^H5521 and they shall not^H3808 appear^H7200 ^(H853) before^H6440 the LORD^H3068 empty:^H7387   —>   Though both those Books, Chapters, and Verses state “all thy males” Father wants all His Children at His Feasts, so that they may Celebrate, Love, Honor, Serve and Worship Him; and, so that they may hear His Word.

Though years, centuries and Millennial have passed since Father commanded our forefathers to Keep His Feasts; and today because of Jesus’ death on the Cross we no-longer sacrifice animals—He became our Passover, He shed His blood for us, the shedding of His blood covers all our sins when we repent of our sins—the requirements for the blood ordinances have been fulfilled, we do not wait for the Day of Atonement to repent of our sins, we repent and ask His Forgiveness every day.

Sadly, for the most part, our forefathers didn’t do a very good job of following Father’s instructions, which is why they ended up going into captivity to the Babylonians. When they came out of that captivity 70 years later—as Father told them as read in Jeremiah 29:10 and other places in His Word—Ezra and Nehemiah had them rebuild the wall around Jerusalem, once that had been completed, they went to work rebuilding their houses. When the houses were rebuilt, Nehemiah and Ezra had them gather together, turn with me to Nehemiah 7:73, where we’ll continue our Study of Father’s Feast of Tabernacles:

Sadly, we see that both Ezra and Nehemiah have allowed the nethinims to continue living among them—but that’s a different story for another day.

No, the People Gathered themselves. Did Nehemiah tell the People he was going to read them The Law? No, they told Nehemiah to get the Book of The Law and to read it to them. They desired and wanted to Hear Father’s Word. We too should have this desire and yearning when we go into Father’s House or wherever we go to learn about Father. Let us not desire to hear a man yak, or tell us stories, or as Paul tells us in his Epistles, let us desire the Meat of The word once we have attained and dined on the milk of Salvation.

…gathered…=Let’s turn to Deuteronomy 31 and read what Father says concerning gathering together: Deuteronomy 31:11 When all^H3605 Israel^H3478 is come^H935 to appear^H7200 ^(H853) before^H6440 the LORD^H3068 thy God^H430 in the place^H4725 which^H834 He shall choose,^H977 thou shalt read^H7121 ^(H853) this^H2063 law^H8451 before^H5048 all^H3605 Israel^H3478 in their hearing.^H241 [31:12] Gather the people together,^H6950 ^(H853) ^H5971 men,^H376 and women,^H802 and children,^H2945 and thy stranger^H1616 that^H834 is within thy gates,^H8179 that^H4616 they may hear,^H8085 and that^H4616 they may learn,^H3925 and fear^H3372 ^(H853) the LORD^H3068 your God,^H430 and observe^H8104 to do^H6213 ^(H853) all^H3605 the words^H1697 of this^H2063 law:^H8451 [31:13] And that their children,^H1121 which^H834 have not^H3808 known^H3045 any thing, may hear,^H8085 and learn^H3925 to fear^H3372 ^(H853) the LORD^H3068 your God,^H430 as long as^H3605 ^H3117 ^H834 ye^H859 live^H2416 in^H5921 the land^H127 whither^H834 ^H033 ye^H859 go over^H5674 ^(H853) Jordan^H3383 to possess^H3423 it.”   —>   Here, Father gives the very reason they were to “read the Law,” in order that every man, woman, child, and even the stranger who was living among them could hear and learn, and then observe to do Father’s Law and then Revere Him. It is also so that, as I stated in my commentary of Leviticus 32:2 above, we can fulfill Father’s desire of gaining the knowledge of Him—Hosea 6:6.

…the book of the law of Moses…=The Book of the laws of Moses is what we today call our Bible, it includes the first five books of what our forefathers knew as the Torah, and we read within these books, that these Nethinim have no business anywhere near Father’s House, let alone handling any of the duties which Father gave to Aaron and his sons for eternal generations. But, where are the People gathered? In the street, or a broad open place where there was enough room for everybody. But, the street was also right in front of the “water gate,” were we to turn back and read Nehemiah 3:26, we would find that “…the Nethinims^H5411 dwelt^H1961 ^H3427 in Ophel,^H6077 unto^H5704 the place over against^H5048 the water^H4325 gate^H8179…” So we see that the People had gathered themselves right smack in the middle of the land the nethinims had claimed for themselves, how convenient. Sadly, our forefathers could never find the intestinal fortitude or courage to rid themselves of these people and it cost; as they ended up taking over the priesthood—again, see Ezra 8:15, and they ended up becoming the scribes—to read my Study of them, click here—pharisees, sadducces, the high priest—Caiaphas, who was appointed by the Roman governor—the elders and the “Jews”—those who were so by location association, not by birth—who Jesus contended with—and tried to point them out to us—every day He walked in the flesh, He knew what they were up to and what they were doing—and He called them out for who they were in John 8:44—and it cost our forefathers and us.

Nehemiah 8:2 And Ezra^H5830 the priest^H3548 brought^H935 ^(H853) the law^H8451 before^H6440 the congregation^H6951 both of men^H4480 ^H376 and women,^H802 and all^H3605 that could hear^H8085 with understanding,^H995 upon the first^H259 day^H3117 of the seventh^H7637 month.^H2320   —>   …Ezra the priest…=Did you notice the difference of how Ezra is identified between this verse and the previous verse, verse v8:1? In verse v8:1, he is identified as a “scribe,” and here in verse v8:2, he is identified as a “priest.” Ezra was indeed both, a scribe—and no, not one of the scribes Father points out to us in I Chronicles 2:55—and a Priest.

…could hear with understanding…=That phrase brethren is a mouthful, as, not everyone who hears Father’s Word, hears it with understanding. How and why can I say this? Let’s first turn to Luke 24:45, and learn about hearing and understanding. Before we do, I want to “set the stage” so to speak, in other words, I want you to understand what is transpiring before we read this verse. If you know anything concerning The Gospel of Luke and which Chapter and Verse I’m taking you to, then you know that Jesus has already been crucified and has risen. In Luke 24 two men, one named Cleopas, were walking to a village called Emmaus, as they were walking, Jesus appeared unto them; these two men did not recognize Jesus while He walked and talked with them until they went into a house where they were going to stay for the night, while in this house, Jesus took bread, Blessed it and brake it and gave it to them to eat, it was then that their eyes were opened to Who He was, and then He departed from them. These two men then went back to Jerusalem to tell the other eleven that “‘The^G3588 Lord^G2962 is risen^G1453 indeed,^G3689 and^G2532 hath appeared^G3700 to Simon.’^G4613.” As they were speaking and telling the eleven of their encounter with Him, Jesus appeared and stood in the midst of them, He then showed them His hands and feet to prove to them that He was Jesus, He then took a piece of broiled fish and an honeycomb and ate it and then said to them: Luke 24:44 And^G1161 He said^G2036 unto them,^G846 “These^G3778 are the^G3588 words^G3056 which^G3739 I spake^G2980 unto^G4314 you,^G5209 while I was^G5607 yet^G2089 with^G4862 you,^G5213 that^G3754 all things^G3956 must^G1163 be fulfilled,^G4137 which were written^G1125 in^G1722 the^G3588 law^G3551 of Moses,^G3475 and^G2532 in the prophets,^G4396 and^G2532 in the Psalms,^G5568 concerning^G4012 Me.”^G1700   —>   The very first Prophesy in Father’s Word, the very first Prophesy of Jesus’ becoming flesh, and the very first Prophesy of His being nailed to the cross by satan and his children are written of in “The law of Moses,” the Torah, in Genesis 3:15. This next verse is why we came here: 1L45[24:45] Then^G5119 opened^G1272 He their^G846 understanding,^G3563 that they might understand^G4920 the^G3588 scriptures,^G1124   —>   There are two points I want you to take away from this brethren: first, it is only He Who can open your eyes and ears to see, hear, and understand His Word; and secondly, it wasn’t until after His death on the cross that He did indeed open His apostles\disciples eyes and ears.

…first day of the seventh month=So, during the first day of Ethanim, on the very day of the Blowing of Trumpets, Ezra broke out the Torah so that he could read it to those who had returned to Jerusalem.

Brethren, you cannot be doers of His Word if you don’t know His Word. …beside him…=Count the number of names in this verse and we read that there were thirteen hand-picked Levites who Ezra had confidence in^H853 standing on the platform beside him; so, including Ezra there were fourteen. The number fourteen in Biblical numerics denotes Deliverance and Salvation.

…Amen, Amen…=In the Strong’s Concordance, this is Hebrew word number: H543, - אָמֵן,o - יâmên, - pronounced: aw-maneי, and means: From H539; sure; abstractly faithfulness; adverbially truly: - Amen, so be it, truth. Total KJV occurrences: 30.. Amen means That is that, of a Truth. Emphasizing Great Solemnity.

…lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and they worshipped the LORD with their face to the ground=They completely humbled themselves. By doing so, they thus showed complete Confidence, Faith and Trust in Father, wholly Submitting and Surrendering themselves to Father and His Will. Yes they are Levites; however, you have to remember, Levi had 3 sons: Gershon, Kohath and Merari, only the Kohathites could be priests, and only the sons of Aaron could be the High Priest. Thus we have the saying “all the Priests were Levites; but, not all the Levites were Priests.” With that being said, these Levitical men were teachers, being such freed up the Priests so they could perform their ministerial duties and functions, but, it also allowed these men to be knowledgeable of Father’s Word to assist others in being knowledgeable and understanding.

…stood in their place=This goes hand-in-hand with what we read in verse v8:3 above, where we read that the People were attentive unto the book of the law.

…distinctly…=Let’s check this word out in our Strong’s Concordance, we see it is Hebrew word number: H6567, - פָּרָשׁ, - pârâsh, - pronounced: paw-rashי, and means: A primitive root; to separate, literally (to disperse) or figuratively (to specify); also (by implication) to wound: - scatter, declare, distinctly, shew, sting. Total KJV occurrences: 4.. So, we see that this word disctinctly means to seperate or divide, and we’re told by Paul in II Timothy 2:15 to “rightly divide” Father’s Word in order to show ourselves approved unto Father, a workman who need not be ashamed.

…sense…=Again, let’s check this word out in our Strong’s Concordance, it is Hebrew word number: H7922, - שֶׂכֶלo, or שֵׂכֶל, - śekel, or śêkel, - pronounced: sehי-kel, or sayי-kel, and means: From H7919; intelligence; by implication success: - discretion, knowledge, policy, prudence, sense, understanding, wisdom, wise. Total KJV occurrences: 16.. So, we see that it means: intelligence; success; knowledge; understanding, and\or wisdom. Do you have these concerning Father’s Word brethren? As I stated above in Luke 24:45, there is only one way to attain these, and that is by Father opening your eyes and ears to His Truth.

These Levites duties were to see that everyone knew the simplicity of Father’s Word. Why study His Word, if you don’t understand it? What is the purpose of any study time when you don’t comprehend what it is you’re being taught? You need the proper tools for getting the job done, and the job is to understand just what Father is trying to teach you. You need to have not just the proper tools, but you also need to know how to use those tools. A good teacher will show you how to use those tools to get at the root meaning of the word taught.

I use Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible, because it is the best Bible that I have found for rightly dividing Father’s Word. It keeps you up on just who the word is talking about, and outlines each Chapter and Book, so there can be no confusion. It gives the time sequence, and the subject and object being addressed. The Companion Bible is adequate for any Bible student. Along with The Companion Bible, there is only one proper study Concordance to go with the King James Bible, and that is the Strong’s Concordance, numbered to the Hebrew and Chaldee Dictionary, along with the Greek dictionary. This numbering system eliminates most of the confusion which comes in finding the root meanings of biblical words and expressions.

The only reason for these Levites to go before the people, was to cause the people to understand Father’s word. In the expression, “gave the sense” meant in the Hebrew, divided each sentence to make sense. It was to separate each thought and idea to be considered and understood within itself. That is to understand the subject and the object, and exactly why Father had said these words. To get this, you need a gifted teacher, one who is gifted with the Holy Spirit, and understands the entire word of God, and how it all fits. It is not the man who teaches, but the words which the Spirit gives through the man. This is what will give life and meaning to all of Father’s Word, and that Word becomes separated in time. It gives reality to you, regardless what century you live in.

Ezra led the first group of our forefathers up out of Babylon, Nehemiah followed Ezra’s return, and then he became the Governor of Jerusalem.

…this day…=The first day of Ethanim, the Day of the Blowing of the Trumpets.

…wept…=Many of the different Biblical scholars differ on why the People wept when they heard Father’s Word being read to them by Ezra. But, you have to remember brethren, the House of Judah had been in captivity to the Babylonians and living in Babylon for the past seventy years, and if you weren’t seventy-five years old or older, you most likely have never heard Father’s Word; so for a lot of these People, this is their first time hearing Father’s Word, and for them it is both correcting and healing, as it should be for us today when we too hear it being read or when we Study it.

Did you notice the difference between these two words as you were reading the verse? In the first usage, the entire word is not only in capital letters; but, they are all the same size font; in the second usage, though they are all in capital letters, the font for the letters “ORD” are in a smaller font. Why the difference? Because in the Hebrew they are different words. I’ll take the second usage first: it is LORD, Father in His Role\Title יְהֹוָה, - YHVH, - covenant maker and keeper; in the second usage, it is LORD, Father in His Role\Title אָדוֹן,o or אָדֹן,i - יâdôn, or יâdôn. Let’s take it from the Strong’s Concordance first, and then I’ll bring in Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendix: H113, - אָדוֹןo, or אָדֹןo, - יâdôn,i or יâdôn, - pronounced: aw-doneי, or aw-doneי, and means: From an unused root (meaning to rule); sovereign, that is, controller (human or divine): - lord, master, owner. Compare also names beginning with “Adoni-”. Total KJV occurrences: 335.. Now let’s look at Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendix 4, where we read: “Adon is one of the three titles (ADON, ADONAI, and ADONIM), all generally rendered “Lord;” but each has its own peculiar usage and association. They all denote headship in various aspects. They have to do with God as “over-lord.” Adonim is the plural of Adon, never used of man. Adonim carries with it all that Adon does, but in a greater and higher degree; and more especially as owner and proprietor. An Adon may rule others who do not belong to him. Hence (without the article) it is often used of men. But Adonim is the Lord Who rules His own. We have indicated it by type, thus: LORD. Adon is the Lord as overlord or ruler. …eat the fat…=If you know anything concerning Father and His eating laws, then you know that He told our forefathers to not eat the fat, as that it His and is a figure of speech. So then, why do we read here where Ezra is telling the People to eat the fat? Because the word fat as used here, means: surplus, and is no different as when we read in Deuteronomy 32:15 that when Israel waxed fat they then forsook Father.

…for the joy of the LORD is your strength=Always remember this brethren — “for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” When the burdens of this flesh Age start to weigh on you, recall these words.

They were told to be happy, as this was a holy day. It is a happy day when we can listen and understand what is being taught from Father’s Word, for within the Law are many of Father’s Promises and many of the blessings which we can receive for following what we are taught from His Holy Word.

When Father openes your eyes and ears to see, hear and understand His Word, it is a great, wonderful joy. You almost cannot contain yourself, and you immediately want to share His Word with family and friends so they too can experience euphoric feeling.

They hungered for it, our People today should be just as hungry to hear Father’s Word, but, sadly, far to many preachers in our church houses tell fairy tales and preach falsely concerning what Father’s Word says. I cannot totally blame them, as they are teaching what they themselves have been taught; but, with that being said, it is their—the preachers—fault; as, they themselves are not using the proper tools and checking to ensure what they are teaching is correct. It is a great sin to falsely teach Father’s Word , and these false teachers will pay dearly for falsely teaching and leading Father’s Children astray. What does Father say in Ezekiel 13? …in the feast of the seventh month=The Feast of Tabernacles. The Feast we’re celebrating today.

This is how we too should do when we gather. Yes, I know we do brethren, I’m referring to the church houses in the world today.

With that, let’s turn to Psalms 73 as we continue our Study of the FEAST OF TABERNACLES. Psalms 73 discusses The LEVITICUS BOOK and the Sanctuary in relation to man. When you think on Father’s Sanctuary brethren, think not on a physical building, but on your relationship with Father, this is one place you can always turn to when the world around you turns to the ugliness we see happening today.

Even to such as are of a clean^H1249 heart.^H3824   —>   Truly…=This is a particle of affirmation, and you could say “verily,” or “surely.” The uniform rendering would be “only,” or “after all;” and what the psalmist is saying, is that, Father is nothing but good to Israel, He only has good intentions for His People.

Truly God is good to Israel…=Here, we see that the conclusion is stated, before the distraction of mind caused by the occupation of heart.

…almost gone…=Here, the psalmist is saying that he almost slipped and erred, and as we continue, we’ll see that he almost concerned himself and allowed himself to get distracted with the things of this world. He was finding himself outside Father’s Sanctuary. He put himself there brethren, by not keeping his mind focused on Father. This can sort of be an easy thing to do, we can all find ourself doing the same thing, even myself; sometimes I have to mentally slap myself in the back of my head to re-cage my eyes so to speak. When this happens, we have to put ourselves back in Father’s Sanctuary by repenting, asking Father’s forgiveness, and concentrating and focusing on Him.

…GOD…=As used here with the all upper case letters is Father in His role of אֵל, EL. EL is indicated by type in large capital letters, thus: “GOD.” It is sometimes transliterated in proper names Immanue-’EL, Beth-’EL, etc.. The word EL comes from the root word meaning “might,” “power,” “strength” and probably derives from the Ugaritic term for GOD. EL is especially “The Almighty.” We read in Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendex: 4, the following: “EL is ELOHIM in all His strength and power. It is rendered “God” as ELOHIM is, but EL is God the Omnipotent. ELOHIM is God the Creator putting His omnipotence into operation. ELOAH is God Who wills and orders all, and Who is to be the one object of the worship of His people. EL is the God Who knows all (first occ. …Most High=This is Father in His Role\Title: עֶלְיוֹן, ELYON. This Title stresses Father’s “Strength,” “Sovereignty,” and “Supremacy”—Genesis 14:20, and Psalms 9:2. ELYON is especially “The Most High.” From Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendix 4, the following: “ELYON first occurs in Genesis 14:18 with El, and is rendered “The Most High (God)”. It is El and ELOHIM, not as the Powerful Creator, but as “The Possessor of heaven and earth.” Hence the name is associated with Christ as the Son of “The Highest” (Luke 1:35). It is ELYON, as Possessor of the earth, Who divides the nations “their inheritance”. In Psalms 83:18, He is “over all the earth”. The title occurs 36 times (6 x 6 or 62 See Ap. 10).”

And washed^H7364 my hands³⁷⁰⁹³ in innocency.^H5356   —>   For those who don’t Love, Honor, Serve or Worship Father, when we who do tell them of what will become of them, they reply and tell us exactly as this verse opens — “Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain”, that we have prepared to go into Father’s Sanctuary for nothing. This is the result of occupation with others brethren, focus on Father and not on the things going on around us today; it’s all distraction. I too can find myself in this situation concerning politics, and all the evilness the left is bringing about today, and as I said in verse v73:2 above, I sometimes have to mentally slap myself in the back of my head to re-cage my Spiritual eyes and re-shift my focus back on Father.

And chastened^H8433 every morning.^H1242   —>   Here the psalmist is saying, that because I have taken my focus off of Father and His Sanctuary and instead focused on the ungodly, I am plagued every day and chastened every morning. Every day things remain the same and they never change. Again, this is the result of the distraction, the result of which only brings about unhappiness, anger and no peace of mind.

…offend…=Let’s check out this word offend in our Strong’s Concordance brethren, it is Hebrew word number: H898, - בָּגַד, - bâgad, - pronounced: baw-gadי, and means: A primitive root; to cover (with a garment); figuratively to act covertly; by implication to pillage: - deal deceitfully (treacherously, unfaithfully), offend, transgress (-or), (depart), treacherous (dealer, -ly, man), unfaithful (-ly, man), X very. Total KJV occurrences: 49.. In other words, if I speak as the wicked, then yes, I too would be dealing deceitfully, treacherously and unfaithfully with Father’s Children.

The riddle the psalmist is reasoning with in his own mind is about to be solved:

Then understood^H995 I their end.^H319   —>   Here the psalmist is saying, that like me, once he mentally slapped himself in the back of his head and re-caged his Spiritual eyes, he realized it was he who brough about all his own mental anguish, his own affliction, pain and vexation, it was all his own doing.

Brethren, he—like us—already knew the outcome of the wicked, the answer is rigt here in this BOOK OF PSALMS. There are three verses which sum up for us, what will happen to those us hate Father, let’ go to Psalms 37:7: Psalms 37:7 Rest^H1826 in the LORD,^H3068 and wait patiently^H2342 for Him:

And the enemies^H341 of the LORD^H3068 shall be as the fat^H3368 of lambs:^H3733
They shall consume;^H3615 into smoke^H6227 shall they consume away.^H3615   —>   It will be His angels who do the harvesting of these evil Father haters, and it will be Him Who brings them to their just end.

The psalmist answers his own question or train of thought; “How are they…they are…,” again, he knows and has read Psalms 37; therefore, he knows that they don’t gain anything by their earthly prosperity, the only thing which matters, are our good works which we can take with us when we retrun Home to Father.

So, O Lord*,^H136 when Thou awakest,^H5782 Thou shalt despise^H959 their
      image.⁶⁷⁵⁴   —>   What is the image the haters of Father dream of brethren? They dream of their father’s system and reign; and what the psalmist is saying here, is that, Father despises satan for his causing Father’s Children to go astray and forsake Him.

LORD*=I have put an Asterisk by the word LORD in this verse because, in the Manuscripts this is not referring to Father in His Role of YHVH; meaning that, this is one of the 134 places in Father’s Word where the scribes have changed it to “adonai.” Why? It is this author’s belief that the scribes,—who had already worked their way into the priesthood—knowing that they could not get away with out and out changing or removing Father’s Name, substituted the word adonai which means lord or father in Hebrew—both with a lower case first letter. This was their way of working subtily and trying to diminish Father and His Role of YHVH, and they told our forefathers that His name is ineffable, meaning that, It was not to be spoken, because of Its sacredness. See, it was subtil changes like this, whereby many people today no-longer speak Father’s name, or when writing it they substitute a “—” for the letter “o” and write it G-D. It is also why today, many people think that Father is a far-off being Who we cannot have a close relationship with, why we call Him GOD and not Father as Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:9.

And I was pricked^H8150 in my reins.^H3629   —>   …reins=The word reins as used here should be translated mind, and as we look at this verse again, what the psalmist is saying, is that, his heart was grieved and his mind was pricked or pierced. Why? Because his allowed himself to become distracted with the goings on around him and he took his eyes and focus off of Father and His Sanctuary.

In our next verse, we’ll see the psalmist’s realization of his foolishness because of his occupation with others.

Psalms 73:22 So foolish^H1198 was I,^H589 and ignorant:^H3808 ^H3045
I was^H1961 as a beast^H929 before^H5973 Thee.   —>   Like us today who chastise ourselves when we realize we did something foolish, here we see the psalmist doing the same thing. He is chastising himself for taking himself outside Father’s Sanctuary, for allowing himself to become distracted on the worldly things going on around him. And, like the psalmist here, I too have to chastise myself when I take my focus off of Father and concern myself with the wicked happenings going on around me today. I again have to mentally slap myself in the back of my head, re-cage my eyes, and remind myself that Father said all these things must come to pass just prior to Jesus’ return for His Second Advent. I’m not saying I\we shouldn’t pay attention to the happenings going on today, as we are to be WATCHMEN; but, don’t allow it to consume our thoughts or allow the goings on to cause us to do something irrational.

Verses v73:23-28 the psalmist refocuses on his occupation with Father, and because he does so, he now has peace of mind.

Thou hast holden^H270 me by my right^H3225 hand.^H3027   —>   I=Note the emphasis and emphaticness of the pronoun I here brethren. What he is saying, is that, now that he has re-caged his eyes and focus on Father and His Sanctuary, should he slip, Father has him by his right hand and will not allow him to veer off course and again get himself outside Father’s Sanctuary.

Psalms 73:24 Thou shalt guide^H5148 me with Thy counsel,^H6098
And afterward^H310 receive^H3947 me to glory.^H3519   —>   Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel…=How does Father guide us with His counsel bretren? He does so through His Word, we can have His counsel each and every day! Put yourself in His Word and you will have His counsel. What does this Psalm concern? The psalmist’s realization that when he took himself away from Father and out of His Sanctuary, he erred and became distracted, which brought about anguish and confusion in his own mind. Father’s Word Is His counsel. It is from His Word that we will be brough to His glory, with all the rewards of His Promises which are found in His Word. Father’s Word gives us the answer to every thing in this flesh life on this earth. So keep yourself in His counsel and don’t allow youself to become distracted with the occupation of others.

And there is none^H3808 upon earth^H776 that I desire^H2654 beside^H5973 Thee.   —>   Whom have I in heaven but Thee=This is ever the cry and the noblest Praise o Father’s Saints. Father is the Only Important One Whom we should desire brethren! Don’t get me wrong, Love of Spouse and family is important, and we never take our Love for and by them for granted; but, we cannot have eternal life with Father through them.

But God^H430 is the strength^H6697 of my heart,^H3824 and my portion^H2506 for
      ever.^H5769   —>   My flesh and my heart faileth…=Our flesh and our minds—and that is how heart can be translated here in this verse—do fail us brethren, as they are weak and call out to us and can cause us to lose our focus on Father, thus taking us out of His Sanctuary. We must learn to control our flesh and our minds, putting them in their place when they try and cause us to lose our focus.

…strength…=Let’s check out this word strength in our Strong’s Concordance, it is Hebrew word number: H6697, - צוּרo, or צֻר, - tsûr, or tsûr, - pronounced: tsoor, or tsoor, and means: From H6696; properly a cliff (or sharp rock, as compressed); generally a rock or boulder; figuratively a refuge; also an edge (as precipitous): - edge, X (mighty) God (one), rock, X sharp, stone, X strength, X strong. See also H1049. Total KJV occurrences: 76.. Who is our Rock brethren? Father is, and as we read in Deuteronomy 32:18, the haters of Father, are unmindful of and have forsaken Him. That I may declare^H5608 all^H3605 Thy works.^H4399   —>   But it is good for me to draw near to God…=Yes, it absolutely is good for us to draw near to Father. We can contrast this with the godless of the previous verse brethren, those who reject Father and are outside His Sanctuary. But, we must always be vigilant brethren, or we too can slip and find ourselves outside His Sanctuary.

With that being said, we also can’t be foolish and ignorant concerning Father’s Word, or we too could find ourselves a whoring after the false Christ. How do we draw near to Father? By singing songs and praises? Sure that is part of the form of worship; but, you draw near to Father we must understand what He thinks, and what is pleasing to Him. The Word of God is the mind of God. The entire Word allows us to see what pleases our Father, but also what makes Him angry. His words are from His mind, and that allows us to know how to draw near to our Father.

We draw near to Him by praying that His Holy Spirit will anoint us and give us the gift of Understanding of all of His Word. As we grow in His Word, we draw near to Him, and He to you. Just how in this world can we declare any of His mighty Works unless the understanding of those works are made known to us? We have to study His Word to know those works, and then with the leading of the Holy Spirit, we can declare them to our brothers and sisters of this earth Age of the flesh.

We’ll turn now to Hebrews 4 to continue our Study of The Feast of Tabernacles. We’ve been discussing Father’s Sanctuary which is wonderful for us to Study; but, all this Study to this point has been in the OLD TESTAMENT, which again, is good for us to Study, but, todayv we have Father’s New Covenant and for our Study of what replaced His physical Sanctuary, we can learn of where we should turn to get “Rest,” which of course can only be found in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which is why we’re turning to this THE EPISTLES TO THE HEBREWS:

Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore^G3767 fear,^G5399 lest,^G3379 a promise^G1860 being left^G2641 us of entering^G1525 into^G1519 His^G846 rest,^G2663 any^G5100 of^G1537 you^G5216 should seem^G1380 to come short^G5302 of it.   —>   …rest…=Let’s check out this word rest in our Strong’s Concordance, it is Greek word number: G2663, - κατάπαυσις, - katapausis, - pronounced: kat-apי-ow-sis, and means: From G2664; reposing down, that is, (by Hebraism) abode: - rest. Total KJV occurrences: 9.. So, we see that this word means to abode—for the definition of the word abode from dictionary.com, click here—the short answer is, it means to reside, dwell, or sojorn. What paul is saying, is that, Father gave us a Promise, if we seek Him, then in doing so, He Promises that we can reside, dwell, or sojorn in Him, and in doing that, we can mentally rest and not have any fears in this Age. But, notice brethren, this requires action on our part, He won’t just give us rest, or peace of mind, without any action on our part.

So, how do we achieve this rest? By (1) speaking with Him in Prayer, and (2) by digging into His Word and Studying it, notice I didn’t say reading it. And, yes, there is a difference. You can read it all day long; however, if you’re reading without understanding, then it really doesn’t do you any good. If you’re not reading with the Proper Tools to assist in your understanding, then you are just reading and applying your own interpretation, which can cause you to totally miss what is being told you or said, Example: how many Christians believe satan appeared to Eve in the Garden as a serpent, a snake, an asp, because that is how Father’s Word identified him, because that is what they have been falsely taught, and because that is what they have believed their whole lives? But, these same Christians didn’t take the time to look (1) through Father’s Word to see, or find his other identifiers—i.e., that old dragon, called the devil etc.—Revelation 12:3,4,7,9,13,16,17; Revelation 13:2,4,11; Revelation 16:13, Revelation 20:2—and (2) because they didn’t utilize a Strong’s Concordance and seek both the Hebrew and the Greek definition for the word serpent H5175 and G3789? Our adversary satan was not ever, and did not appear as an asp, he was in his transfigured body—think of Moses and Elijah with Christ on the Mount of Transfiguration in Matthew 17:2-4—which had substance just like as when the fallen angels came on to and mated with women in Genesis 6:2-5, and he seduced Eve—from the Greek, because we read in II Corinthians 11:3, where we find he beguiled her: the word beguiled is Greek word number: G1818, - ἐξαπατάω, - exapataō, - pronounced: ex-ap-at-ahי-o, and means: From G1537 and G538; to seduce wholly: - beguile, deceive. Total KJV occurrences: 5.—and then Adam too. Sov to get true rest from Father’s Word, you have to read\Study with understanding.

…rest…come short of it=Another thing which will cause us to come short of entering into Father’s Rest is unbelief and\or lack of Faith.

…As I have sworn in My wrath…=This is quoted from Psalms 95:11, where we read: Psalms 95:8 Harden^H7185 not^H408 your heart,^H3824 as in the provocation,^H4808 And as in the day^H3117 of temptation^H4531 in the wilderness:^H4057 [95:9] When^H834 your fathers^H1 tempted^H5254 Me, proved^H974 Me, and^H1571 saw^H7200 My work.^H6467 [95:10] Forty^H705 years^H814 long was I grieved^H6962 with this generation,^H1755 And said,^H559 “It^H1992 is a people^H5971 that do err^H8582 in their heart,^H3824 And they^H1992 have not^H3808 known^H3045 my ways:”^H1870   —>   As Father led our forefathers out of their bondage to the Egyptians to the Promised Land, it was only supposed to take two years to get there; however, because of all their shananigans, their bellyaching and what not, Father made them wander aroung the wilderness for another 38 years. They didn’t know Him even though He was right there with them, why didn’t they know Him? For several reasons, they were afraid of Him, they didn’t trust in Him, they were set in their ways from Egypt, even though the Egyptians were putting them to hard labor and also murdering their new-born. This next verse is why we came here: [95:11] Unto whom^H834 I sware^H7650 in My wrath^H639 That^H518 they should not enter^H935 into^H413 My rest.^H4496   —>   Because of the way they had treated Him, He sware that they could then not enter into His rest. The “Rest” was thus lost to that generation. Do we have His Rest today brethren? You’re darn skippy we do, so long as we claim it. And HeHe has given us the right to claim it.

…the foundation of the world=Good old Greek word number: G2602, a lot of you are familiar with this phrase and Greek Word Number, for those of you who are not, let’s turn to our Strong’s Concordance and learn: G2602, - καταβολή, - katabolē, - pronounced: kat-ab-ol-ayי, and means: From G2598; a deposition, that is, founding; figuratively conception: - conceive, foundation. Total KJV occurrences: 11.. Dr. Strong says it’s derived from G2598, so, let’s check it out: G2598, - καταβάλλω, - kataballō, - pronounced: kat-ab-alי-lo, and means: From G2596 and G906; to throw down: - cast down, lay. Total KJV occurrences: 3.. So, what is this throwing or casting down? It is from when Father destroyed the First Earth Age. I’ll bring in from Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendix 146, where we read: “The Noun, katabole, occurs in Matthew 13:35; 25:34; Luke 11:50; John 17:24; Ephesians 1:4; Hebrews 4:3; 9:26; 11:11; I Peter 1:20; Revelation 13:8; 17:8; and the corresponding Verb (kataballo) occurs in II Corinthians 4:9; Hebrews 6:1; and Revelation 12:10. A comparison of all these passages (especially II Corinthians 4:9, and Revelation 12:10) will show that kataballo and katabole are not the proper terms for founding and foundation, but the correct meaning is casting down, or overthrow. Consistency, therefore, calls for the same translation in Hebrews 6:1, where, instead of “not laying again,” the rendering should be “not casting down.” That is to say, the foundation already laid, of repentance, etc., was not to be cast down or overthrown, but was to be left—and progress made unto the perfection. Accordingly, the Noun katabole, derived from, and cognate with the Verb, ought to be translated “disruption,” or “ruin.” The remarkable thing is that in all occurrences (except Hebrews 11:11) the word is connected with “the world” (Greek kosmos. Appendix 129 1), and therefore the expression should be rendered “the disruption (or ruin) of the world,” clearly referring to the condition indicated in Genesis 1:2, and described in II Peter 3:5,6. For the earth was not created tohu (Isaiah 45:18), but became so, as stated in the Hebrew of Genesis 1:2 and confirmed by II Peter 3:6, where “the world that then was by the word of God” (Genesis 1:1), perished, and “the heavens and the earth which are now, by the same word” were created (Genesis 2:4), and are “kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment” (II Peter 3:7) which shall usher in the “new heavens and the new earth” of II Peter 3:13. “The disruption of the world” is an event forming a great dividing line in the dispensations of the ages. In Genesis 1:1 we have the founding of the world (Hebrews 1:10 = themelioo), but in Genesis 1:2 we have its overthrow.”. So, why did Father destroy the First Earth Age? Because, His and our adversary, satan, led a rebellion against Father, because he then, like now, wants to sit in Father’s Seat, he wants to replace Father and be god. In this rebellion he had one-third of Father’s Children follow him, one-third sat on the fence, so-to-speak, and basically said, “I’ll wait this rebellion out and join onto the side that wins,” then there was the third which basically said, “I love you Father, but not enough to fight for You;” lastly there was the handful which did join unto Father and fought against satan and those who joined him in his rebellion, these are Father’s Elect, after proving their loyality, they have Judged and have already partaken of the First Resurrection, therefore it is only these who can commit the unpardonable sin. How and why? Because the unpardonable sin is not allowing the Holy Spirit to speak through their mouths when they are delivered up to satan when he sits in Jerusalem pretending to be god at the end of this Age.

Hebrews 4:4 For^G1063 He spake^G2046 in a certain place^G4225 of^G4012 the^G3588 seventh^G1442 day on this wise,^G3779 “And^G2532 God^G2316 did rest^G2664 the^G3588 seventh^G1442 day^G2250 from^G575 all^G3956 His^G848 works.”^G2041   —>   …God did rest the seventh day from all His works=This is refering back to Genesis 2:1-3 when Father Rested from all His work. He rested from His accomplishment of Creating This Age after the Overthrow and destruction of the First Earth Age. For man, we rest out of fatigue. That sabbath day wasn’t created for Father; but, for man.

Hebrews 4:5 And^G2532 in^G1722 this^G5129 place again,^G3825 “If^G1487 they shall enter^G1525 into^G1519 My^G3450 rest.”^G2663   —>   As I stated in verse v4:3 above, He has given us the right to claim it and it is there for our taking, the choice is ours, are we going to claim it, or are we going to flounder around in the ways of this world and the wicked?

Hebrews 4:6 Seeing^G1893 therefore^G3767 it remaineth^G620 that some^G5100 must enter^G1525 therein,^G1519 ^G846 and^G2532 they to whom it was first preached^G2097 ^G4386 entered not in^G1525 ^G3756 because^G1223 of unbelief:^G543   —>   Because of their unbelief, they didn’t accept His Promises, and therefore they did not, and could not enter into His Rest. Without Rest in Father, there is no rest of mind, in other words, there is no peace of mind.

Hebrews 4:7 Again,^G3825 He limiteth^G3724 a certain^G5100 day,^G2250 saying^G3004 in^G1722 David,^G1138 “To day,”^G4594 after^G3326 so long^G5118 a time;^G5550 as^G2531 it is said,^G2046 “To day^G4594 if^G1437 ye will hear^G191 His^G846 voice,^G5456 harden^G4645 not^G3361 your^G5216 hearts.”^G2588   —>   Here again, Paul is quoting from Psalms 95:7-8, where we read: Psalms 95:7 For^H3588 he^H1931 is our God;^H430 And we^H587 are the People^H5971 of His pasture,^H4830 and the sheep^H6629 of His hand.^H3027 To day^H3117 if^H518 ye will hear^H8085 His voice,^H696 [95:8] Harden^H7185 not^H408 your heart,^H3824 as in the provocation,^H4808 And as in the day^H3117 of temptation^H4531 in the wilderness:^H4057.

Father did give us that day, but, those things have been nailed to the Cross when Jesus went to the Cross; let’s read of it, we find it in Colossians 2: Colossians 2:12 Buried with^G4916 Him^G846 in^G1722 baptism,^G908 wherein^G1722 ^G3739 also^G2532 ye are risen with^G4891 Him through^G1223 the^G3588 faith^G4102 of the^G3588 operation^G1753 of God,^G2316 Who hath raised^G1453 Him^G846 from^G1537 the^G3588 dead.^G3498   —>   Action required on our part: Belief, Faith, and Accpetance. I know Paul only mentions faith, but it requires the other two on our part as well. [2:13] And^G2532 you,^G5209 being^G5607 dead^G3498 in^G1722 your sins^G3900 and^G2532 the^G3588 uncircumcision^G203 of your^G5216 flesh,^G4561 hath He quickened together^G4806 with^G4862 Him,^G846 having forgiven^G5483 you^G5213 all^G3956 trespasses;^G3900   —>   Father Will forgive us our tresspasses, when we repent, and it is for this reason we can have rest in Him. [2:14] Blotting out^G1813 the^G3588 handwriting^G5498 of ordinances^G1378 that was against^G2596 us,^G2257 which^G3739 was^G2258 contrary^G5227 to us,^G2254 and^G2532 took^G142 it^G846 out of^G1537 the^G3588 way,^G3319 nailing^G4338 it^G846 to His cross;^G4716   —>   Jesus took all of the blood ordinances, the sacrifices and such to the Cross with Him. [2:15] And having spoiled^G554 principalities^G746 and^G2532 powers,^G1849 He made a shew^G1165 of them openly,^G1722 ^G3954 triumphing over^G2358 them^G846 in^G1722 it.^G848   —>   He did triumph over them, and more importantly, over death, that is to say, satan, thus fulfilling Father’s Prophesy of Genesis 3:15. So, harden not your hearts brethren, Accept, Believe, and have Faith.
