PSALMS CHAPTER 73

Psalms 73 has to do with what happens when we allow ourselves to get distracted and leave Fathers Sanctuary. We become occupied in our thoughts with the things of this Age, i.e., man, politics, etc.. It is never good for us to allow ourselves to get distracted to where we pull ourselves away from Fathers Sanctuary. So brethren, stay focused on Father, and thus IN HIS SANCTUARY.

With that introduction being said, lets go to Father and ask Him for His Blessings on our Study of His Word: Father, I come to You right now and ask that You Oh LORD Lead me and Guide me as I try and teach Your Word, dont allow me to mis-teach or mis-lead Your Children. We, Father, also come to You as a group who desire to Learn Your Word, to thank You for inviting us to Your table in order that we might be able to partake of and receive Your Spiritual Meat, and Father, as we prepare to dine on the sustenance which sustains our inner man, we ask that You Oh LORD open our ears and eyes, that we might be able to hear and see your Truths, open our hearts and minds and prepare us in order that we may receive Your Truth. We Pray for Your Understanding of Your Word, we seek Your Knowledge in Your Word, and most importantly Father, we Pray for and desire Your Wisdom from Your Word, in Jesus Precious name we Pray, thank You Father, Amen.

                                    PSALMS 73-89 THE THIRD OR
                                      LEVITICUS BOOK.*
                                    THE SANCTUARY. (Division.)
                                    PSALMS 73-83 THE SANCTUARY
                                      IN RELATION TO MAN. (Extended
                                         Alternation.)
                                    PSALMS 73 THE EFFECT OF
                                      BEING OUTSIDE THE SANCTUARY.
                                         OCCUPATION OF HEART WITH
                                            OTHERS, AND CONSEQUENT
                                               DISTRACTION.
*Leviticus is the title which man has given to the third Book of the Pentateuch, because of its subject-matter: viz. the ordinances, &c, pertaining to the Levites. The title in the Hebrew canon is וַיִּקְרָא‎i, (vayyikra), And He called. It is emphatically the Book of the Sanctuary. It tells how God is to be approached; and teaches us that none can worship except such as are called (Psalms 65:4), and whom the Father seeks to worship Him (John 4:23,24). In Leviticus 1:1,2 we see the exemplification of the words: Blessed is the man whom Thou choosest, and causeth to approach unto Thee, that he my dwell in Thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, even of Thy Holy Temple”, (Psalms 65:4). The types in Leviticus are types in the Sanctuary: i.e., of Access and Worship.
In this Leviticus-Book of the Psalms we find the corresponding thought. Its teaching is dispensational, as in the other Books; but, in this, the counsels of God are seen, not in relation to Man (as in Genesis), not in relation to the Nation (as in Exodus), but in relation to The Sanctuary, which is mentioned or referred to in nearly every Psalm of this third Book. The Sanctuary is seen from its ruin, to its establishment in the fulness of Blessing.
In the first division (73-83) ELOHIM (Appendix 4 1) occurs sixty-five times (twice with YEHOVAH); and YEHOVAH only fifteen times. In the second division (84-89) YEHOVAH occurs fifty times, and ELOHIM only twenty-eight times (four of which are with YEHOVAH). EL (Appendix 4 4) occurs five times.

                                    73-89 THE SANCTUARY IN
                                      RELATION TO MAN.
This third Book has to do with the Sanctuary; as the first Book (1-41) had to do with Man; and the Second Book (42-72) had to do with Israel.
                                    73 OUTSIDE THE SANCTUARY
                                      EFFECT. DISTRACTION.
                                         (Introversion.)
                                    73:1 Occupation with God.
                                      Peace.
1A1
Psalms 73:1 TrulyH389 GodH430 is goodH2896 to Israel,H3478 (he will rule as YAH; or, the prince that prevails with YAH) (Yis-raw-aleי) (secondary map)
Even to such as are of a cleanH1249 heart.H3824   —>   Truly…=This is a particle of affirmation, and you could say verily, or surely. The uniform rendering would be only, or after all; and what the psalmist is saying, is that, Father is nothing but good to Israel, He only has good intentions for His People.

Truly God is good to Israel…=Here, we see that the conclusion is stated, before the distraction of mind caused by the occupation of heart.

Israel=For a detailed description of Israel, including his birth, his and the Nations history, the etymology of the name, the Strongs Concordance definition of the name, and the Smiths Bible Dictionary information, click here.

                                    73:2 Occupation with others.
                                      My error.
1A2
Psalms 73:2 But as for me,H589 my feetH7272 were almostH4592
      gone;H5186
My stepsH838 had well nighH369 slipped.H8210   —>   …me…my=Notice the emphasis on thisby repitition of the first personwhich is key to this Psalm.

…almost gone…=Here, the psalmist is saying that he almost slipped and erred, and as we continue, well see that he almost concerned himself and allowed himself to get distracted with the things of this world. He was finding himself outside Fathers Sanctuary. He put himself there brethren, by not keeping his mind focused on Father. This can sort of be an easy thing to do, we can all find ourself doing the same thing, even myself; sometimes I have to mentally slap myself in the back of my head to re-cage my eyes so to speak. When this happens, we have to put ourselves back in Fathers Sanctuary by repenting, asking Fathers forgiveness, and concentrating and focusing on Him.

                                          73:3 Result. My discontent.
1A3
Psalms 73:3 ForG3588 I was enviousG7065 at the foolish,G1984
When I sawG7200 the prosperityG7965 of the wicked.G7563   —>   Dont allow youself to look at the wicked people who are prospering in the ways of this world brethren, yes, it may seem theyre prospering, but that is only of earthly things, not things of Father. The things of this Age are only temporary, we focus on eternal things; the result of not doing this is your own discontent.

                                      73:4-12 THE WICKED. THEIR
                                        PROSPERITY. (Introversion.)
                                      73:4 Their prosperity. (Negative.)
1A4
Psalms 73:4 ForH3588 there are noH369 bandsH2784 in their death:H4194
But their strengthH193 is firm.H1277   —>   Here the psalmist is saying, that those of this world are healthy and their bellies are full and fat.

                                      73:5 Their prosperity. (Negative.)
1A5
Psalms 73:5 They are notH369 in troubleH5999 as other men;H582
NeitherH3808 are they plaguedH5060 likeH5973 other men.H120   —>   Do you look at the evil people of this world todaythink of our leftist politicians, scientists, educators, medical personnel etc., all these who support the vaccine, the queer and trans+ crap, the indoctrination of our children, etc.and think, man, they always prosper and nothing bad ever happens to them, like it does to me? Brethren, dont allow yourselves to fall into that trap, and that is what it is, a snare of satans. Oh yeah, his people are prospering in this Age, but that is only where theyll prosper, right here in this Age. Save up your good works brethren, as they are the only things we can take Home with us, and they make up our fine white linens as we read in Revelation 14:13 and Revelation 19:8, and they read: Revelation 14:13 AndG2532 I heardG191 a voiceG5456 fromG1537 heavenG3772 sayingG3004 unto me,G3427 “Write,G1125 ‘BlessedG3107 are theG3588 deadG3498 which dieG599 inG1722 the LordG2962 from henceforth:G534 Yea,G3483 saithG3004 theG3588 Spirit,G4151 thatG2443 they may restG373 fromG1537 theirG848 labours;G2873 andG1161 theirG848 worksG2041 do followG190 (G3326) them.’oG846 and now Revelation 19:8 AndG2532 to herG846 was grantedG1325 thatG2443 she should be arrayedG4016 in fine linen,G1039 cleanG2513 andG2532 white:G2986 forG1063 theG3588 fine linenG1039 isG2076 theG3588 righteousnessG1345 of saints.G40.

                                          73:6 Their pride and Fulness.
1A6
Psalms 73:6 ThereforeH3651 prideH1346 compasseth them about as
      a chain;H6059
ViolenceH2555 coverethH5848 them as a garment.H7897   —>   This is so true concerning those I mentioned in the previous verse, they wear their pridethink Nancy Pelosi and her carrying that gavel across the street when they forced obamacare down our throatsaround their necks like fine gold necklaces; and they cloak their evilness around them like long flowing gowns and fine tuxedos.

                                          73:7 Their pride and Fulness.
1A7
Psalms 73:7 Their eyesH5869 stand outH3318 with fatness:H4480 H2459
They have moreH5674 than heartH3824 could wish.H4906   —>   Include Bill Gates, Jeff Zuckerberg, John Kerry, George Soros, Klaus Schwab, along with a lot of our politicians here brethren Oliver Anthony nailed it pretty well with his song Rich Men North of Richmond.

                                                      73:8 Their speech.
1A8
Psalms 73:8 They are corrupt,H4167 and speakH1696 wickedlyH7451 concerning
      oppression:H6233
They speakH1696 loftily.H4480 H$791   —>   This verse encapsulates all those mentioned above, as they all speak as if they sit-on-high speaking down to us as though were simple-minded children; taking away our Constitutional Rights, while telling us how we should live our lives, what we can drive, what appliances we can own and operate; and as Klaus Schwab recently said, we should eat bugs to save the planet from climate change.

                                                      73:9 Their speech.
1A9
Psalms 73:9 They setH8371 their mouthH6310 against the heavens,H8064
And their tongueH3956 walkethH1980 through the earth.H776   —>   Who is it who sets their mouths again Father brethren? The kenites, satans children, those who hate Father, those who loudly shout no hate; who are themselves, the haters.

What is it the kenites say against we, Fathers Children?

                                          73:10 Their pride and Fulness.
1A10
Psalms 73:10 ThereforeH3651 His PeopleH5971 returnH7725 hither:H1988
And watersH4325 of a fullH4392 cup are wrung outH4680 to them.   —>   Their pride and fullness allow them to say that we will stop following Father, and instead follow after their father satan.

                                                      73:11 Their speech.
1A11
Psalms 73:11 And they say,H559 “HowH349 doth GODH410 know?H3045
And is thereH3426 knowledgeH1844 in the Most High?”H5945   —>   Our adversary satans children, who publically question whether Father is realbut in their hearts know that He is realask how can God know anything we do?

…GOD…=As used here with the all upper case letters is Father in His role of אֵל, EL. EL is indicated by type in large capital letters, thus: GOD. It is sometimes transliterated in proper names Immanue-EL, Beth-EL, etc.. The word EL comes from the root word meaning might, power, strength and probably derives from the Ugaritic term for GOD. EL is especially The Almighty. We read in Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendex: 4, the following: EL is ELOHIM in all His strength and power. It is rendered God as ELOHIM is, but EL is God the Omnipotent. ELOHIM is God the Creator putting His omnipotence into operation. ELOAH is God Who wills and orders all, and Who is to be the one object of the worship of His people. EL is the God Who knows all (first occ. Gen. 14:18,22) and sees all (Gen. 16:13) and that performeth all things for His people (Ps. 57:2); and in Whom all the Divine attributes are concentrated..

…Most High=This is Father in His Role\Title: עֶלְיוֹן, ELYON. This Title stresses Fathers Strength, Sovereignty, and SupremacyGenesis 14:20, and Psalms 9:2. ELYON is especially The Most High. From Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendix 4, the following: ELYON first occurs in Genesis 14:18 with El, and is rendered The Most High (God). It is El and ELOHIM, not as the Powerful Creator, but as The Possessor of heaven and earth. Hence the name is associated with Christ as the Son of The Highest (Luke 1:35). It is ELYON, as Possessor of the earth, Who divides the nations their inheritance. In Psalms 83:18, He is over all the earth. The title occurs 36 times (6 x 6 or 62 See Ap. 10).

                                      73:12 Their prosperity. (Positive.)
1A12
Psalms 73:12 Behold,H2009 theseH428 are the ungodly,H7563
Who prosperH7961 in the world;H5769 they increaseH7685 in riches.H2428   —>   yes siree buddy, they increase in their riches and think they sit atop of the world; however, these rewards will be all they get, we have the rich man of Luke 16:19-31 to look to as our example.

                                      73:13-16 Result. Distraction.
1A13
Psalms 73:13 VerilyH389 I have cleansedH2135 my heartH3824 in vain,H7385
And washedH7364 my hands37093 in innocency.H5356   —>   For those who dont Love, Honor, Serve or Worship Father, when we who do tell them of what will become of them, they reply and tell us exactly as this verse opens Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, that we have prepared to go into Fathers Sanctuary for nothing. This is the result of occupation with others brethren, focus on Father and not on the things going on around us today; its all distraction. I too can find myself in this situation concerning politics, and all the evilness the left is bringing about today, and as I said in verse v73:2 above, I sometimes have to mentally slap myself in the back of my head to re-cage my Spiritual eyes and re-shift my focus back on Father.
1A14
Psalms 73:14 For allH3605 the dayH3117 long have I beenH1961 plagued,H5060
And chastenedH8433 every morning.H1242   —>   Here the psalmist is saying, that because I have taken my focus off of Father and His Sanctuary and instead focused on the ungodly, I am plagued every day and chastened every morning. Every day things remain the same and they never change. Again, this is the result of the distraction, the result of which only brings about unhappiness, anger and no peace of mind.
1A15
Psalms 73:15 IfH518 I say,H559 “I will speakH5608 thus;”H3644
Behold,H2009 I should offendH898 against the generationH1755 of thy children.H1121   —>   If I say, I will speak thus;=Here the psalmist is trying to reason in his own mind the riddle; if I say as the wicked do, then I too would be doing as the wicked.

…offend…=Lets check out this word offend in our Strongs Concordance brethren, it is Hebrew word number: H898, - בָּגַד, - bâgad, - pronounced: baw-gadי, and means: A primitive root; to cover (with a garment); figuratively to act covertly; by implication to pillage: - deal deceitfully (treacherously, unfaithfully), offend, transgress (-or), (depart), treacherous (dealer, -ly, man), unfaithful (-ly, man), X very. Total KJV occurrences: 49.. In other words, if I speak as the wicked, then yes, I too would be dealing deceitfully, treacherously and unfaithfully with Fathers Children.

The riddle the psalmist is reasoning with in his own mind is about to be solved:
1A16
Psalms 73:16 When I thoughtH2803 to knowH3045 this,H2063
ItH1931 was too painfulH5999 forH5869 me;   —>   When I gave serious consideration as to how I allowed myself to become distracted, taking my focus off of Father and His Sanctuary and instead focusing on the wicked and their evil doings, WOW, it was painful affliction and vexation in my own eyes.

                                      73:17 Remedy. The Sanctuary.
1A17
Psalms 73:17 UntilH5704 I wentH935 intoH413 the sanctuaryH4720 of GOD;H410
Then understoodH995 I their end.H319   —>   Here the psalmist is saying, that like me, once he mentally slapped himself in the back of his head and re-caged his Spiritual eyes, he realized it was he who brough about all his own mental anguish, his own affliction, pain and vexation, it was all his own doing.

Brethren, helike usalready knew the outcome of the wicked, the answer is rigt here in this BOOK OF PSALMS. There are three verses which sum up for us, what will happen to those us hate Father, let go to Psalms 37:7: Psalms 37:7 RestH1826 in the LORD,H3068 and wait patientlyH2342 for Him:
Fret not thyselfH408 H2734 because of him who prosperethH6743 in his way,H1870
Because of the manH376 who bringeth wicked devices to pass.H6213 H4209
—>   Dont lose focus on Father and worry yourself about the ways of the wicked. Why?
Psalms 37:20 ButH3588 the wickedH7563 shall perish,H6
And the enemiesH341 of the LORDH3068 shall be as the fatH3368 of lambs:H3733
They shall consume;H3615 into smokeH6227 shall they consume away.H3615
—>   It will be His angels who do the harvesting of these evil Father haters, and it will be Him Who brings them to their just end.
Psalms 37:34 WaitH6960 onH413 the LORD,H3068 and keepH8104 His way,H1870
And He shall exaltH7311 thee to inheritH3423 the land:H776
When the wickedH7563 are cut off,H3772 thou shalt seeH7200 it.
—>   Well be right there witnessing their destruction brethren, into the Lake of Fire theyll go, and then well remember them no more.

                                  73:18-20 The wicked. Their end.
1A18
Psalms 73:18 SurelyH389 Thou didst setH7896 them in slippery places:H2513
Thou castedst them downH5307 into destruction.H4876   —>   Though the psalmist is speaking in the past tense, they wont be cast into the Lake of Fire until the end of Jesus one-thousand year Millennial reign, on the day of the Great White Throne of Judgment.
1A19
Psalms 73:19 HowH349 areH1961 they brought into desolation,H8047 as in a
      moment!H7281
They are utterly consumedH5486 H8552 withH4480 terrors.H1091   —>   Did you catch how this reads brethren? The psalmist answers his own question or train of thought; How are they…they are…, again, he knows and has read Psalms 37; therefore, he knows that they dont gain anything by their earthly prosperity, the only thing which matters, are our good works which we can take with us when we retrun Home to Father.
1A20
Psalms 73:20 As a dreamH2472 when one awaketh;H4480 H6974
So, O Lord*,H136 when Thou awakest,H5782 Thou shalt despiseH959 their image.6754 —> What is the image the haters of Father dream of brethren? They dream of their fathers system and reign; and what the psalmist is saying here, is that, Father despises satan for his causing Fathers Children to go astray and forsake Him.

LORD*=I have put an Asterisk by the word LORD in this verse because, in the Manuscripts this is not referring to Father in His Role of YHVH; meaning that, this is one of the 134 places in Fathers Word where the scribes have changed it to adonai. Why? It is this authors belief that the scribes, who had already worked their way into the priesthoodknowing that they could not get away with out and out changing or removing Fathers Name, substituted the word adonai which means lord or father in Hebrewboth with a lower case first letter. This was their way of working subtily and trying to diminish Father and His Role of YHVH, and they told our forefathers that His name is ineffable, meaning that, It was not to be spoken, because of Its sacredness. See, it was subtil changes like this, whereby many people today no-longer speak Fathers name, or when writing it they substitute a for the letter o and write it G-D. It is also why today, many people think that Father is a far-off being Who we cannot have a close relationship with, why we call Him GOD and not Father as Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:9.

                                        73:21 Result. My discontent.
1A21
Psalms 73:21 ThusH3588 my heartH3824 was grieved,H2556
And I was prickedH8150 in my reins.H3629   —>   …reins=The word reins as used here should be translated mind, and as we look at this verse again, what the psalmist is saying, is that, his heart was grieved and his mind was pricked or pierced. Why? Because his allowed himself to become distracted with the goings on around him and he took his eyes and focus off of Father and His Sanctuary.

In our next verse, well see the psalmists realization of his foolishness because of his occupation with others.

                                    73:22 Occupation with others.
                                      My error.
1A22
Psalms 73:22 So foolishH1198 was I,H589 and ignorant:H3808 H3045
I wasH1961 as a beastH929 beforeH5973 Thee.   —>   Like us today who chastise ourselves when we realize we did something foolish, here we see the psalmist doing the same thing. He is chastising himself for taking himself outside Fathers Sanctuary, for allowing himself to become distracted on the worldly things going on around him. And, like the psalmist here, I too have to chastise myself when I take my focus off of Father and concern myself with the wicked happenings going on around me today. I again have to mentally slap myself in the back of my head, re-cage my eyes, and remind myself that Father said all these things must come to pass just prior to Jesus return for His Second Advent. Im not saying I\we shouldnt pay attention to the happenings going on today, as we are to be WATCHMEN; but, dont allow it to consume our thoughts or allow the goings on to cause us to do something irrational.

Verses v73:23-28 the psalmist refocuses on his occupation with Father, and because he does so, he now has peace of mind.

                                    73:23-28 Occupation with God.
                                      Peace.
                                    73:23-28 OCCUPATION WITH.
                                      GOD. (Introversion.)
                                    73:23-26 I (emphatic).
1A23
Psalms 73:23 Nevertheless IH589 am continuallyH8548 withH5973 Thee:
Thou hast holdenH270 me by my rightH3225 hand.H3027   —>   I=Note the emphasis and emphaticness of the pronoun I here brethren. What he is saying, is that, now that he has re-caged his eyes and focus on Father and His Sanctuary, should he slip, Father has him by his right hand and will not allow him to veer off course and again get himself outside Fathers Sanctuary.
1A24
Psalms 73:24 Thou shalt guideH5148 me with Thy counsel,H6098
And afterwardH310 receiveH3947 me to glory.H3519   —>   Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel…=How does Father guide us with His counsel bretren? He does so through His Word, we can have His counsel each and every day! Put yourself in His Word and you will have His counsel. What does this Psalm concern? The psalmists realization that when he took himself away from Father and out of His Sanctuary, he erred and became distracted, which brought about anguish and confusion in his own mind. Fathers Word Is His counsel. It is from His Word that we will be brough to His glory, with all the rewards of His Promises which are found in His Word. Fathers Word gives us the answer to every thing in this flesh life on this earth. So keep yourself in His counsel and dont allow youself to become distracted with the occupation of others.
1A25
Psalms 73:25 WhomH4310 have I in heavenH8064 but Thee?
And there is noneH3808 upon earthH776 that I desireH2654 besideH5973 Thee.   —>   Whom have I in heaven but Thee=This is ever the cry and the noblest Praise o Fathers Saints. Father is the Only Important One Whom we should desire brethren! Dont get me wrong, Love of Spouse and family is important, and we never take our Love for and by them for granted; but, we cannot have eternal life with Father through them.
1A26
Psalms 73:26 My fleshH7607 and my heartH3824 faileth:H3615
But GodH430 is the strengthH6697 of my heart,H3824 and my portionH2506 for
ever.H5769   —>   My flesh and my heart faileth…=Our flesh and our mindsand that is how heart can be translated here in this versedo fail us brethren, as they are weak and call out to us and can cause us to lose our focus on Father, thus taking us out of His Sanctuary. We must learn to control our flesh and our minds, putting them in their place when they try and cause us to lose our focus.

…strength…=Lets check out this word strength in our Strongs Concordance, it is Hebrew word number: H6697, - צוּרo, or צֻר, - tsûr, or tsûr, - pronounced: tsoor, or tsoor, and means: From H6696; properly a cliff (or sharp rock, as compressed); generally a rock or boulder; figuratively a refuge; also an edge (as precipitous): - edge, X (mighty) God (one), rock, X sharp, stone, X strength, X strong. See also H1049. Total KJV occurrences: 76.. Who is our Rock brethren? Father is, and as we read in Deuteronomy 32:18, the haters of Father, are unmindful of and have forsaken Him. That I may declareH5608 allH3605 Thy works.H4399   —>   But it is good for me to draw near to God…=Yes, it absolutely is good for us to draw near to Father. We can contrast this with the godless of the previous verse brethren, those who reject Father and are outside His Sanctuary. But, we must always be vigilant brethren, or we too can slip and find ourselves outside His Sanctuary.

With that being said, we also cant be foolish and ignorant concerning Fathers Word, or we too could find ourselves a whoring after the false Christ. How do we draw near to Father? By singing songs and praises? Sure that is part of the form of worship; but, you draw near to Father we must understand what He thinks, and what is pleasing to Him. The Word of God is the mind of God. The entire Word allows us to see what pleases our Father, but also what makes Him angry. His words are from His mind, and that allows us to know how to draw near to our Father.

We draw near to Him by praying that His Holy Spirit will anoint us and give us the gift of Understanding of all of His Word. As we grow in His Word, we draw near to Him, and He to you. Just how in this world can we declare any of His mighty Works unless the understanding of those works are made known to us? We have to study His Word to know those works, and then with the leading of the Holy Spirit, we can declare them to our brothers and sisters of this earth Age of the flesh.
