NEHEMIAH CHAPTER 8

The year is 426B.C., and Nehemiah, the TirshathaChaldee term for Governorthe Governor of Jerusalem, EzraHigh Priest and scribe of Fathers Wordand roughly 42,360 of our forefathers have returned from their captivity to the Babylonians. They have thus far, rebuilt the wall around Jerusalem and their houses. And, to open this Chapter, we have to go back to the last verse of the last Chapter, verse vNehemiah 7:73, which reads: Nehemiah 7:73 So the priests,H3548 and the Levites,H3881 and the porters,H7778 and the singers,H7891 and some ofH4480 the people,H5971 and the Nethinims,H5411 and allH3605 Israel,H3478 dweltH3427 in their cities;H5892 and when the seventhH7637 monthH2320 came,H5060 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 were in their cities.H5892   —>   Lets identify who some of these people are: The Levites, Levi had three sons, Gershon, Kohath and Merari; so all the Levites are descended from Levi and his three sons; The Priests, only the descendants of KohathKohath had four sons: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, but it was only Amrams descendants: Aaron and then his sons who were allowed to be the High Priest linewere allowed to be the Priest linehence we have the saying, all the priests were Levites, but, not all the Levites were priestsThe Porters, the porters were the doorkeepers, think of bouncers and security forces for Fathers Temple; The Singers, the singers were the Levitical singers, they were Asaph, Ethan and Heman and their descendants, these Levitical singers were musicians, prophets and writers of some of the Psalms, The nethinims, the nethinims should have been nowhere near anything to do with Father, His Altar, His Temple, or anything else to do with Him, these people were not Israelite, they were Gibeonites, also called Hittites. They joined onto our forefathers when they came to Joshua and the elders in Joshua 9, when they lied to Joshua and the elders. Joshua and the elders made a covenant with them and when they found out that they had been lied to, they knew because of the covenant they had made, Father would be angry with them, therefore, they made them temple servants, drawing water and cutting wood for Fathers Altar. These people were part of the peoples Father told Moses and our forefathers to utterly destroy, however, they had failed to do so. Now sadly, they have now been a part of our forefathers for the past 1,160 plus years, as our forefathers continued to fail to put them out from among them. These same nithinimswhen the Levites became lazytook over the priesthood, Ezra called them out as he was taking a survey as they were coming back to Jerusalem: Ezra 8:15 And I gathered them togetherH6908 toH413 the riverH5104 that runnethH935 toH413 Ahava;H163 and thereH8033 abode we in tentsH2583 threeH7969 days:H3117 and I viewedH995 the people,H5971 and the priests,H3548 and foundH4672 thereH8033 noneH3808 of the sonsH4480 H1121 of Levi.H3878   —>   Nehemiah also identified them for us in the last Chapter of this Book, Nehemiah 7:60 AllH2605 the Nethinims,H5411 and the childrenH1121 of Solomon’sH8010 servants,H5650 were threeH7969 hundredH3967 ninetyH8673 and two.H8147 [7:61] And theseH428 were they which went upH5927 also from Telmelah,H4480 H8528 Telharesha,H8521 Cherub,H3743 Addon,H114 and Immer:H564 but they couldH3201 notH3808 shewH5046 their fathersH1 house,H1004 nor their seed,H2233 whetherH518 theyH1992 were of Israel.H4480 H3478 [7:62] The childrenH1121 of Delaiah,H1806 the childrenH1121 of Tobiah,H2900 the childrenH1121 of Nekoda,H5353 sixH8337 hundredH3967 fortyH705 and two.H8147 [7:63] And ofH4480 the priests:H3548 the childrenH1121 of Habaiah,H2252 the childrenH1121 of Koz,H6976 the childrenH1121 of Barzillai,H1271 whichH834 tookH3947 one of the daughtersH4480 H1323 of BarzillaiH1271 the GileaditeH1569 to wife,H802 and was calledH7121 afterH5921 their name.H8034   —>   So, as we see, these nethinims are living among our forefathers and not only that, but, they have infiltrated the priesthood; however, now that there is a genealogy being taken, they cannot show their lineage as being Israelite. So, what is Nehemiah going to do? [7:64] TheseH428 soughtH1245 their registerH3791 among those that were reckoned by genealogy,H3187 but it was notH3808 found:H4672 therefore were they, as polluted,H1351 put fromH4480 the priesthood.H3550   —>   After taking their genealogy and finding that they are not Israelite, Nehemiah correctly expels them as polluted from the priesthood. He should have gone a step further and expelled them from Israel completely, however, sadly, he did not, and because he didnt, they will eventually work their way back into the priesthood, and when the Levites again become lazy, theyll take over the priesthood, and will be there until our Lord Jesus Christ is born and Hell contend with them and point them out to us. Sadly, only those with the eyes to see and the ears to hear will recognize them for who they truly are.

So, this is who has returned to Jerusalem, and as we read in Nehemiah 7:73 we have just entered into the seventh month, which is where we begin this Chapter.

With that introduction being said, lets go to Father and ask Him for His Blessings on our Study of His Word: Father, I come to You right now and ask that You Oh LORD Lead me and Guide me as I try and teach Your Word, dont allow me to mis-teach or mis-lead Your Children. We, Father, also come to You as a group who desire to Learn Your Word, to thank You for inviting us to Your table in order that we might be able to partake of and receive Your Spiritual Meat, and Father, as we prepare to dine on the sustenance which sustains our inner man, we ask that You Oh LORD open our ears and eyes, that we might be able to hear and see your Truths, open our hearts and minds and prepare us in order that we may receive Your Truth. We Pray for Your Understanding of Your Word, we seek Your Knowledge in Your Word, and most importantly Father, we Pray for and desire Your Wisdom from Your Word, in Jesus Precious name we Pray, thank You Father, Amen.

Nehemiah 8:1 And allH3605 the PeopleH5971 gathered themselves togetherH622 as oneH259 manH376 intoH413 the streetH7339 thatH834 was beforeH6440 the waterH4325 gate;H8179 and they spakeH559 unto EzraH5830 the scribeH5608 to bringH935 (H853) the bookH5612 of the lawH8451 of Moses,H4872 whichH834 the LORDH3068 had commandedH6680 to(H853) Israel.H3478 —> Did Nehemiah call all the People together? No, the People Gathered themselves. Did Nehemiah tell the People he was going to read them The Law? No, they told Nehemiah to get the Book of The Law and to read it to them. They desired and wanted to Hear Fathers Word. We too should have this desire and yearning when we go into Fathers House or wherever we go to learn about Father. Let us not desire to hear a man yak, or tell us stories, or as Paul tells us in his Epistles, let us desire the Meat of The word once we have attained and dined on the milk of Salvation.

…gathered…=Lets turn to Deuteronomy 31 and read what Father says concerning gathering together: Deuteronomy 31:11 When allH3605 IsraelH3478 is comeH935 to appearH7200 (H853) beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 in the placeH4725 whichH834 He shall choose,H977 thou shalt readH7121 (H853) thisH2063 lawH8451 beforeH5048 allH3605 IsraelH3478 in their hearing.H241 [31:12] Gather the people together,H6950 (H853) H5971 men,H376 and women,H802 and children,H2945 and thy strangerH1616 thatH834 is within thy gates,H8179 thatH4616 they may hear,H8085 and thatH4616 they may learn,H3925 and fearH3372 (H853) the LORDH3068 your God,H430 and observeH8104 to doH6213 (H853) allH3605 the wordsH1697 of thisH2063 law:H8451 [31:13] And that their children,H1121 whichH834 have notH3808 knownH3045 any thing, may hear,H8085 and learnH3925 to fearH3372 (H853) the LORDH3068 your God,H430 as long asH3605 H3117 H834 yeH859 liveH2416 inH5921 the landH127 whitherH834 H8033 yeH859 go overH5674 (H853) JordanH3383 to possessH3423 it.   —>   Here, Father gives the very reason they were to read the Law, in order that every man, woman, child, and even the stranger who was living among them could hear and learn, and then observe to do Fathers Law and then Revere Him. It is also so that, as I stated in my commentary of Leviticus 32:2 above, we can fulfill Fathers desire of gaining the knowledge of HimHosea 6:6.

…the book of the law of Moses…=The Book of the laws of Moses is what we today call our Bible, it includes the first five books of what our forefathers knew as the Torah, and we read within these books, that these Nethinim have no business anywhere near Fathers House, let alone handling any of the duties which Father gave to Aaron and his sons for eternal generations. But, where are the People gathered? In the street, or a broad open place where there was enough room for everybody. But, the street was also right in front of the water gate, were we to turn back and read Nehemiah 3:26, we would find that …the NethinimsH5411 dweltH1961 H3427 in Ophel,H6077 untoH5704 the place over againstH5048 the waterH4325 gateH8179 So we see that the People had gathered themselves right smack in the middle of the land the nethinims had claimed for themselves, how convenient. Sadly, our forefathers could never find the intestinal fortitude or courage to rid themselves of these people and it cost; as they ended up taking over the priesthoodagain, see Ezra 8:15, and they ended up becoming the scribesto read my Study of them, click herepharisees, sadducces, the high priestCaiaphas, who was appointed by the Roman governorthe elders and the Jewsthose who were so by location association, not by birthwho Jesus contended withand tried to point them out to usevery day He walked in the flesh, He knew what they were up to and what they were doingand He called them out for who they were in John 8:44and it cost our forefathers and us.

                          8:2 The Book brought forth.
1A2
Nehemiah 8:2 And EzraH5830 the priestH3548 broughtH935 (H853) the lawH8451 beforeH6440 the congregationH6951 both of menH4480 H376 and women,H802 and allH3605 that could hearH8085 with understanding,H995 upon the firstH259 dayH3117 of the seventhH7637 month.H2320   —>   …Ezra the priest…=Did you notice the difference of how Ezra is identified between this verse and the previous verse, verse v8:1? In verse v8:1, he is identified as a scribe, and here in verse v8:2, he is identified as a priest. Ezra was indeed both, a scribeand no, not one of the scribes Father points out to us in I Chronicles 2:55and a Priest.

…could hear with understanding…=That phrase brethren is a mouthful, as, not everyone who hears Fathers Word, hears it with understanding. How and why can I say this? Lets first turn to Luke 24:45, and learn about hearing and understanding. Before we do, I want to set the stage so to speak, in other words, I want you to understand what is transpiring before we read this verse. If you know anything concerning The Gospel of Luke and which Chapter and Verse Im taking you to, then you know that Jesus has already been crucified and has risen. In Luke 24 two men, one named Cleopas, were walking to a village called Emmaus, as they were walking, Jesus appeared unto them; these two men did not recognize Jesus while He walked and talked with them until they went into a house where they were going to stay for the night, while in this house, Jesus took bread, Blessed it and brake it and gave it to them to eat, it was then that their eyes were opened to Who He was, and then He departed from them. These two men then went back to Jerusalem to tell the other eleven that ‘TheG3588 LordG2962 is risenG1453 indeed,G3689 andG2532 hath appearedG3700 to Simon.’G4613. As they were speaking and telling the eleven of their encounter with Him, Jesus appeared and stood in the midst of them, He then showed them His hands and feet to prove to them that He was Jesus, He then took a piece of broiled fish and an honeycomb and ate it and then said to them: Luke 24:44 AndG1161 He saidG2036 unto them,G846 “TheseG3778 are theG3588 wordsG3056 whichG3739 I spakeG2980 untoG4314 you,G5209 while I wasG5607 yetG2089 withG4862 you,G5213 thatG3754 all thingsG3956 mustG1163 be fulfilled,G4137 which were writtenG1125 inG1722 theG3588 lawG3551 of Moses,G3475 andG2532 in the prophets,G4396 andG2532 in the Psalms,G5568 concerningG4012 Me.”G1700   —>   The very first Prophesy in Fathers Word, the very first Prophesy of Jesus becoming flesh, and the very first Prophesy of His being nailed to the cross by satan and his children are written of in The law of Moses, the Torah, in Genesis 3:15. This next verse is why we came here: 1L45[24:45] ThenG5119 openedG1272 He theirG846 understanding,G3563 that they might understandG4920 theG3588 scriptures,G1124   —>   There are two points I want you to take away from this brethren: first, it is only He Who can open your eyes and ears to see, hear , and understand His Word; and secondly, it wasnt until after His death on the cross that He did indeed open His apostles\disciples eyes and ears.

…first day of the seventh month=So, during the first day of Ethanim, on the very day of the Blowing of Trumpets, Ezra broke out the Torah so that he could read it to those who had returned to Jerusalem.

                                              8:3 The reading.
1A3
Nehemiah 8:3 And he readH7121 therein beforeH6440 the streetH7339 thatH834 was beforeH6440 the waterH4325 gateH8179 fromH4480 the morningH216 untilH5704 midday,H4276 H3117 beforeH5048 the menH376 and the women,H802 and those that could understand;H995 and the earsH241 of allH3605 the PeopleH5971 were attentive untoH413 the bookH5612 of the law.H8451   —>   …he read…=This was the duty of the Priests and the Levites, to read the Law to the People and teach them about Father, His Commandments, His Judgments, His Ordinances and His Statutes. Brethren, you cannot be doers of His Word if you dont know His Word. We read the following from Moses in Deuteronomy 31: Deuteronomy 31:10 And MosesH4872 commandedH6680 them, saying,H559 “At the endH4480 H7093 of every sevenH7651 years,H8141 in the solemnityH4150 of the yearH8141 of release,H8059 in the feastH2282 of tabernacles,H5521 [31:11] When allH3605 IsraelH3478 is comeH935 to appearH7200 (H853) beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 in the placeH4725 whichH834 He shall choose,H977 thou shalt readH7121 (H853) thisH2063 lawH8451 beforeH5048 allH3605 IsraelH3478 in their hearing.H241 [31:12] Gather the people together,H6950 (H853) H5971 men,H376 and women,H802 and children,H2945 and thy strangerH1616 thatH834 is within thy gates,H8179 thatH4616 they may hear,H8085 and thatH4616 they may learn,H3925 and fearH3372 (H853) the LORDH3068 your God,H430 and observeH8104 to doH6213 (H853) allH3605 the wordsH1697 of thisH2063 law:H8451   —>   Again, you cannot be doers of Fathers Word if you dont hear or know Fathers Word; this is why churches today teach that we should celebrate Jesus resurrection, instead of Fathers Passover, the false teaching of the rapture, speaking in a babylonian tongue and claim it is of the Holy Spirit, when it is NOT.

…and the ears of all the People were attentive=All the People desired to hear Fathers Word; and because they did so, Ezra read from sun up until noon.

8:4 Station of Ezra and others.
1A4
Nehemiah 8:4 And EzraH5830 the scribeH5608 stoodH5975 uponH5921 a pulpitH4026 of wood,H6086 whichH834 they had madeH6213 for the purpose;H1697 and besideH681 him stoodH5975 Mattithiah,H4993 and Shema,H8087 and Anaiah,H6043 and Urijah,H223 and Hilkiah,H2518 and Maaseiah,H4641 onH5921 his right hand;H3225 and on his left hand,H4480 H8040 Pedaiah,H6305 and Mishael,H4332 and Malchiah,H4441 and Hashum,H2828 and Hashbadana,H2806 Zechariah,H2148 and Meshullam.H4918   —>   …pulpit=Lets check out this word in our Strongs Concordance brethren, when we do, we find that it is Hebrew word number: H4026, - מִגְדָּל,o or מִגְדָּלָה,i - migdâl, or migdâlâh, - pronounced: mig-dawlי, or mig-daw-lawי, and means: From H1431; a tower (from its size or height); by analogy a rostrum; figuratively a (pyramidal) bed of flowers: - castle, flower, pulpit, tower. Compare the names following. Total KJV occurrences: 50.. What this pulpit was, was a large platform which Ezra stood upon in order for all the People to be able to see him; think of our church houses today where the pastor stands to preach to their congregation.

…beside him…=Count the number of names in this verse and we read that there were thirteen hand-picked Levites who Ezra had confidence in, standing on the platform beside him; so, including Ezra there were fourteen. The number fourteen in Biblical numerics denotes Deliverance and Salvation.

                                     8:5 The book opened.
                                     8:5-7 Station of Ezra

Nehemiah 8:5 And EzraH5830 openedH6605 the bookH5612 in the sightH5869 of allH3605 the People;H5971 (forH3588 he wasH1961 aboveH4480 H5921 allH3605 the People;)H5971 and when he openedH6605 it, allH3605 the PeopleH5971 stood up:H5975   —>   Ezra unrolled the scroll and began reading from the Torah, as he did so, the roughly forty-two thousand plus People all stood on their feet. They did so, because of their Love and Reverence of Father.

Nehemiah 8:6 And EzraH5830 blessedH1288 (H853) the LORD,H3068 the greatH1419 God.H430 And allH3605 the PeopleH5971 answered,H6030 “Amen,H543 Amen,”H543 with lifting upH4607 their hands:H3027 and they bowedH6915 their heads, and worshippedH7812 the LORDH3068 with their facesH639 to the ground.H776   —>   And=Did you notice the four and(s) in this verse brethren? The use of multiple and(s) in Fathers Word indicates a polysyndeton. These consecutive or multiple uses of the word and, are used to highlight and emphasize each detail and point.

…the LORD, the great God…=Father in His Roles\Titles YHVH ELOHIM. Notice also brethren, ELOHIM has the Article preceeding the Title, thus indicating: The One And Only True God.

…Amen, Amen…=In the Strongs Concordance, this is Hebrew word number: H543, - אָמֵן,o - יâmên, - pronounced: aw-maneי, and means: From H539; sure; abstractly faithfulness; adverbially truly: - Amen, so be it, truth. Total KJV occurrences: 30.. Amen means That is that, of a Truth. Emphasizing Great Solemnity.

…lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and they worshipped the LORD with their face to the ground=They completely humbled themselves. By doing so, they thus showed complete Confidence, Faith and Trust in Father, wholly Submitting and Surrendering themselves to Father and His Will. We can compare this with what Paul showed us and taught in I Timothy 2, where we read: I Timothy 2:7 WhereuntoG1519 G3739 IG1473 am ordainedG587 a preacher,G2783 andG2532 an apostle,G652 (I speakG3004 the truthG225 inG1722 Christ,G5547 and lieG5574 not;)G3756 a teacherG1320 of the GentilesG1484 inG1722 faithG4102 andG2532 verity.G225 [2:8] I willG1014 thereforeG3767 that menG435 prayG4336 everyG3956 where,G5117 lifting upG1869 holyG3741 hands,G5495 withoutG5565 wrathG3709 andG2532 doubting.G1261.

Nehemiah 8:7 Also Jeshua,H3442 and Bani,H1137 and Sherebiah,H8274 Jamin,H3226 Akkub,H6126 Shabbethai,H7678 Hodijah,H1941 Maaseiah,H4641 Kelita,H7042 Azariah,H5838 Jozabad,H3107 Hanan,H2605 Pelaiah,H6411 and the Levites,H3881 caused(H853) the PeopleH5971 to understandH995 the law:H8451 and the PeopleH5971 stood inH5921 their place.H5977   —>   …the Levites caused the People to understand the law…=These Levites are not priests. Yes they are Levites; however, you have to remember, Levi had 3 sons: Gershon, Kohath and Merari, only the Kohathites could be priests, and only the sons of Aaron could be the High Priest. Thus we have the saying all the Priests were Levites; but, not all the Levites were Priests. With that being said, these Levitical men were teachers, being such freed up the Priests so they could perform their ministerial duties and functions, but, it also allowed these men to be knowledgeable of Fathers Word to assist others in being knowledgeable and understanding.

stood in their place=This goes hand-in-hand with what we read in verse v8:3 above, where we read that the People were attentive unto the book of the law.

                                             8:8 The reading.
1A8
Nehemiah 8:8 So they readH7121 in the bookH5612 in the lawH8451 of GodH430 distinctly,H6567 and gaveH7760 the sense,H7922 and caused them to understandH995 the reading.H4744   —>   …read in the book in the law…=Ezra continued his reading and teaching the People the Torah from scroll.

…distinctly…=Lets check this word out in our Strongs Concordance, we see it is Hebrew word number: H6567, - פָּרָש , - pârâsh, - pronounced: paw-rashי, and means: A primitive root; to separate, literally (to disperse) or figuratively (to specify); also (by implication) to wound: - scatter, declare, distinctly, shew, sting. Total KJV occurrences: 4.. So, we see that this word disctinctly means to seperate or divide, and were told by Paul in II Timothy 2:15 to rightly divide Fathers Word in order to show ourselves approved unto Father, a workman who need not be ashamed.

…sense…=Again, lets check this word out in our Strongs Concordance, it is Hebrew word number: H7922, - שֶׂכֶלo, or שֵׂכֶל, - śekel, or śêkel, - pronounced: sehי-kel, or sayי-kel, and means: From H7919; intelligence; by implication success: - discretion, knowledge, policy, prudence, sense, understanding, wisdom, wise. Total KJV occurrences: 16.. So, we see that it means: intelligence; success; knowledge; understanding, and\or wisdom. Do you have these concerning Fathers Word brethren? As I stated above in Luke 24:45, there is only one way to attain these, and that is by Father opening your eyes and ears to His Truth.

These Levites duties were to see that everyone knew the simplicity of Fathers Word. Why study His Word, if you dont understand it? What is the purpose of any study time when you dont comprehend what it is youre being taught? You need the proper tools for getting the job done, and the job is to understand just what Father is trying to teach you. You need to have not just the proper tools, but you also need to know how to use those tools. A good teacher will show you how to use those tools to get at the root meaning of the word taught.

I use Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible, because it is the best Bible that I have found for rightly dividing Fathers Word. It keeps you up on just who the word is talking about, and outlines each Chapter and Book, so there can be no confusion. It gives the time sequence, and the subject and object being addressed. The Companion Bible is adequate for any Bible student. Along with The Companion Bible, there is only one proper study Concordance to go with the King James Bible, and that is the Strongs Concordance, numbered to the Hebrew and Chaldee Dictionary, along with the Greek dictionary. This numbering system eliminates most of the confusion which comes in finding the root meanings of biblical words and expressions.

The only reason for these Levites to go before the people, was to cause the people to understand Fathers word. In the expression, gave the sense meant in the Hebrew, divided each sentence to make sense. It was to separate each thought and idea to be considered and understood within itself. That is to understand the subject and the object, and exactly why Father had said these words. To get this, you need a gifted teacher, one who is gifted with the Holy Spirit, and understands the entire word of God, and how it all fits. It is not the man who teaches, but the words which the Spirit gives through the man. This is what will give life and meaning to all of Fathers Word, and that Word becomes separated in time. It gives reality to you, regardless what century you live in.

Nehemiah 8:9 And Nehemiah,H5166 whichH1931 is the Tirshatha,H8660 and EzraH5830 the priestH3548 the scribe,H5608 and the LevitesH3881 that taughtH995 (H853) the People,H5971 saidH559 unto allH3605 the People,H5971 “ThisH1931 dayH3117 is holyH6918 unto the LORDH3068 your God;H430 mournH56 not,H408 norH408 weep.”H1058 ForH3588 allH3605 the PeopleH5971 wept,H1058 when they heardH8085 (H853) the wordsH1697 of the law.H8451   —>   …Tirshatha…=This word Tirshatha is a fancy Hebrew word for Governor. Ezra led the first group of our forefathers up out of Babylon, Nehemiah followed Ezras return, and then he became the Governor of Jerusalem.

…this day…=The first day of Ethanim, the Day of the Blowing of the Trumpets.

…wept…=Many of the different Biblical scholars differ on why the People wept when they heard Fathers Word being read to them by Ezra. But, you have to remember brethren, the House of Judah had been in captivity to the Babylonians and living in Babylon for the past seventy years, and if you werent seventy-five years old or older, you most likely have never heard Fathers Word; so for a lot of these People, this is their first time hearing Fathers Word, and for them it is both correcting and healing, as it should be for us today when we too hear it being read or when we Study it.

                                               8:10 Dismissal.
                                               8:10 Joy.
1A10
Nehemiah 8:10 Then he saidH559 unto them, “GoH1980 your way, eatH398 the fat,H4924 and drinkH8354 the sweet,H4477 and sendH7971 portionsH4490 unto them for whom nothingH369 is prepared:H3559 forH3588 this dayH3117 is holyH6918 unto our LORD:H113 neitherH408 be ye sorry;H6087
forH3588 the joyH2304 of the LORDH3068 is your strength.”H4581   —>   …LORDH113…LORDH3068=Again brethren, this is why I Study and Teach using Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible and Dr. Strongs Concordance of the Bible. Did you notice the difference between these two words as you were reading the verse? In the first usage, the entire word is not only in capital letters; but, they are all the same size font; in the second usage, though they are all in capital letters, the font for the letters ORD are in a smaller font. Why the difference? Because in the Hebrew they are different words. Ill take the second usage first: it is LORD, Father in His Role\Title יְהֹוָה, - YHVH, - covenant maker and keeper; in the second usage, it is LORD, Father in His Role\Title אָדוֹן,o or אָדֹן,i - יâdôn, or יâdôn. Lets take it from the Strongs Concordance first, and then Ill bring in Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendix: H113, - אָדוֹןo, or אָדֹןo, - יâdôn,i or יâdôn, - pronounced: aw-doneי, or aw-doneי, and means: From an unused root (meaning to rule); sovereign, that is, controller (human or divine): - lord, master, owner. Compare also names beginning with Adoni-. Total KJV occurrences: 335.. Now lets look at Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendix 4, where we read: Adon is one of the three titles (ADON, ADONAI, and ADONIM), all generally rendered Lord; but each has its own peculiar usage and association. They all denote headship in various aspects. They have to do with God as over-lord. Adonim is the plural of Adon, never used of man. Adonim carries with it all that Adon does, but in a greater and higher degree; and more especially as owner and proprietor. An Adon may rule others who do not belong to him. Hence (without the article) it is often used of men. But Adonim is the Lord Who rules His own. We have indicated it by type, thus: LORD. Adon is the Lord as overlord or ruler. Adonim is the LORD as owner.

…eat the fat…=If you know anything concerning Father and His eating laws, then you know that He told our forefathers to not eat the fat, as that it His and is a figure of speech. So then, why do we read here where Ezra is telling the People to eat the fat? Because the word fat as used here, means: surplus, and is no different as when we read in Deuteronomy 32:15 that when Israel waxed fat they then forsook Father.

…for the joy of the LORD is your strength=Always remember this brethren for the joy of the LORD is your strength. When the burdens of this flesh Age start to weigh on you, recall these words.
                                 8:11 Prohibition. No
                                    weeping.
1A11
Nehemiah 8:11 So the LevitesH3881 stilledH2814 allH3605 the People,H5971 saying,H559 “Hold your peace,H2013 forH3588 the dayH3117 is holy;H6918 neitherH408 be ye grieved.”H6087   —>   The Levites quieted the People down so they could listen and hear what was being read to them. They were told to be happy, as this was a holy day. It is a happy day when we can listen and understand what is being taught from Fathers Word, for within the Law are many of Fathers Promises and many of the blessings which we can receive for following what we are taught from His Holy Word.

                                               8:12 Departure.
                                               8:12 Joy.
1A12
Nehemiah 8:12 And allH3605 the PeopleH5971 wentH1980 their way

to eat,H398 and to drink,H8354 and to sendH7971 portions,H4490 and to makeH6213 greatH1419 mirth,H8057 becauseH3588 they had understoodH995 the wordsH1697 thatH834 were declaredH3045 unto them.   —>   …great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them=I can personally attest to these words brethren. When Father openes your eyes and ears to see, hear and understand His Word, it is a great, wonderful joy. You almost cannot contain yourself, and you immediately want to share His Word with family and friends so they too can experience euphoric feeling.

                           8:13-18 THE SECOND AND
                              FOLLOWING DAYS.
                                 (Alternation.)
                           8:13 Second day. Reading.
1A13
Nehemiah 8:13 And on the secondH8145 dayH3117 were gathered togetherH622 the chiefH7218 of the fathersH1 of allH3605 the People,H5971 the priests,H3548 and the Levites,H3881 untoH413 EzraH5830 the scribe,H5608 even to understandH7919 H413 the wordsH1697 of the law.H8451   —>   The People went to bed the night before happy, because they had heard Fathers Word and they were just as excited to awaken the next morning to hear more of Fathers Word. They hungered for it, our People today should be just as hungry to hear Fathers Word, but, sadly, far to many preachers in our church houses tell fairy tales and preach falsely concerning what Fathers Word says. I cannot totally blame them, as they are teaching what they themselves have been taught; but, with that being said, it is theirthe preachersfault; as, they themselves are not using the proper tools and checking to ensure what they are teaching is correct. It is a great sin to falsely teach Fathers Word , and these false teachers will pay dearly for falsely teaching and leading Fathers Children astray. What does Father say in Ezekiel 13? Ezekiel 13:1 And the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 untoH413 me, saying,H559 [13:2] “SonH1121 of man,H120 prophesyH5012 againstH413 the prophetsH5030 of IsraelH3478 that prophesy,H5012 and sayH559 thou unto them that prophesyH5030 out of their own hearts,H4480 H3820HearH8085 ye the wordH1697 of the LORD;H3068 [13:3] ThusH3541 saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069WoeH1945 untoH5921 the foolishH5036 prophets,H5030 thatH834 followH1980 H310 their own spirit,H7307 and have seenH7200 nothing!H1115 skip down with me three verses: [13:6] They have seenH2372 vanityH7723 and lyingH3577 divination,H7081 saying,H559The LORDH3068 saith:’H5002 and the LORDH3068 hath notH3808 sentH7971 them: and they have made others to hopeH3176 that they would confirmH6965 the word.H1697 [13:7] Have ye notH3808 seenH2372 a vainH7723 vision,H4236 and have ye not spokenH559 a lyingH3577 divination,H4738 whereas ye say,H559The LORDH3068 saithH5002 it;’ albeit IH589 have notH3808 spoken?H1696 [13:8] ThereforeH3651 thusH3541 saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069BecauseH3282 ye have spokenH1696 vanity,H&723 and seenH2372 lies,H3577 therefore,H3651 behold,H2009 I am againstH413 you, saithH5002 the LordH136 GOD.H3069   —>   Not a place where I want to be brethren. Can you feel the white hot passion in His voice against those who falsely say something He didnt say? This is why I teach Book by Book Chapter by Chapter and Verse by Verse; so you hear Fathers Word, not mine or me just yakity yaking.

                           8:14-17 THE FEAST.
                              TABERNACLES (MANNER).
                                 (Introversion.)
                           8:14 Command. To dwell
                              in booths.
1A14
Nehemiah 8:14 And they foundH4672 writtenH3789 in the lawH8451 whichH834 the LORDH3068 had commandedH6680 byH3027 Moses,H4872 thatH834 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 should dwellH3427 in boothsH5521 in the feastH2282 of the seventhH7637 month:H2320   —>   …written in the law…=You cannot find it written if youre not reading it. And, if youre one of those preachers who specifically picks and ties together singular Books, Chapters and Verses to try and make it fit your agenda or teaching, you are falsely teaching, and we just read what Father thinks of that!

                                         8:15 To go forth.
1A15
Nehemiah 8:15 And thatH834 they should publishH8085 and proclaimH5674 H6963 in allH3605 their cities,H5892 and in Jerusalem,H3389 saying,H559 “Go forthH3318 unto the mount,H2022 and fetchH935 oliveH2132 branches,H5929 and pineH6086 H8081 branches,H5929 and myrtleH1918 branches,H5929 and palmH8558 branches,H5929 and branchesH5929 of thickH5687 trees,H6086 to makeH6213 booths,H5521 as it is written.”H3789   —>   Those booths which were a visual sign of Fathers Protection.

                                     8:16 The going forth.
1A16
Nehemiah 8:16 So the PeopleH5971 went forth,H3318 and broughtH935 them, and madeH6213 themselves booths,H5521 every oneH376 uponH5921 the roof of his house,H1406 and in their courts,H2691 and in the courtsH2691 of the houseH1004 of God,H430 and in the streetH7339 of the waterH4325 gate,H8179 and in the streetH7339 of the gateH8179 of Ephraim.H669   —>   …and…=Note the numerous and repetitious usages of the word and in this and the previous verse brethren; again, these consecutive or multiple uses of the word and, are used to highlight and emphasize each detail and point.

Our forefathers were obedient and did as they had been commanded, they built their booths, that symbolical reminder of Fathers Protection over them.

                                     8:17 Obedience.
                                        Dwelling in booths.
1A17
Nehemiah 8:17 And allH3605 the congregationH6951 of them that were come againH7725 out ofH4480 the captivityH7628 madeH6213 booths,H5521 and satH3427 under the booths:H5521 forH3588 since the daysH4480 H3117 of JeshuaH3442 the sonH1121 of NunH5126 untoH5704 thatH1931 dayH3117 had notH3808 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 doneH6213 so.H3651 And there wasH1961 veryH3966 greatH1419 gladness.H8057   —>   …had not…done so…=The last we read of the House of Israel celebrating the Feasts of Father, was when Solomon was king over the Nation; but, even then, II Chronicles 8:13 only speaks of the Offerings required by the Law, which Solomon Offered. Nothing is said there of what the People did; so that there is no discrepancy in this verse, as is alleged.

                             8:18 Every day. Reading.
                             8:18 Feast. Tabernacles
                                (continuance).
1A18
Nehemiah 8:18 Also dayH3117 by day,H3117 fromH4480 the firstH7223 dayH3117 untoH5704 the lastH314 day,H3117 he readH7121 in the bookH5612 of the lawH8451 of God.H430

And they keptH6213 the feastH2282 sevenH7651 days;H3117

and on the eighthH8066 dayH3117 was a solemn assembly,H6116 according unto the manner.H4941   —>   Nehemiah read the Torah every day they had gathered during these Feast days. This is how we too should do when we gather. Yes, I know we do brethren, Im referring to the church houses in the world today.
