EZEKIEL 8 is yet another important Chapter in Father’s Word as Father is showing Ezekiel, the House of Judah and us the spiritual condition of His house.
The chapter, and Ezekiel’s prophetic vision, begins with the House of Judah being in their sixth year and sixth month of captivity to the Babylonians, and we know from Ezekiel 3:15 that they are in Tel-Abib - Babylon. Ezekiel and the elders of the House of Judah, in other words - Ezekiel, the High Priest, the leaders of each tribe, and the priest of each tribe are there.
Ezekiel is about to be taken in his prophetic vision to a future time and event.
Ezekiel 8:1 And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the LORD God fell there upon me. -> Where is Ezekiel? He and the House of Judah - (the tribes have now been separated by Father and the House of Judah consisting of the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, some each of Manasseh and Levi, while the House of Israel - the ten tribes of the north consisting of Reuben, Simeon, Issachar, Zebulin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Ephraim, and some each of Manasseh and Levi, has over two hundred years ago, been captured by the Assyrians and have even been scattered up over the Caucus Mountains), are in Telabib - that is to say - Babylon. And here in this verse, sits Ezekiel and the elders of the House of Judah in Ezekiel's house in Telabib, the elders are the leaders of the tribes. So that would mean it would be Ezekiel, the High Priest, the leaders of Judah, of Benjamin, of Manasseh, and the leader or priest of Levi, plus probably the priest for each tribe as well, totalling probably 7 or 8 people.
It is the sixth (6) year of the House of Judah's captivity, in the sixth (6) month of the year and the fifth (5) day of the month. Bells should be sounding in your head and ringing in your ears because, we were pretty close to seeing (666) here. Father is trying to show us something important here so sharpen up for me.
Ezekiel 8:2 Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of His loins even downward, fire; and from His loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber. -> As Ezekiel was sitting there with these elders and the high priest, an angel - messenger from God - came to Ezekiel. The word "Fire" as used here in the King James Version 1611 Bible in the Hebrew, in the Strong's Concordance, is Hebrew word number "H784 esh, pronounced aysh and means: A primitive word; fire (literally or figuratively): burning, fiery fire, flaming, hot., but in the Septuagint the word is "man" or H376 iysh, pronounced eesh and means: Contracted for H582 (or perhaps rather from an unused root meaning to be extant); a man as an individual or a male person. So what Ezekiel saw was an angel, and the angel that Ezekiel is describing has the features of a man, and the amber colour he is seeing is that "glow" or the shekina glory of one who has been close to YHVH, and we see whenever we look at the paintings of old and see the "halo" surrounding the head of Jesus or the angels.
Ezekiel 8:3 And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. -> This angel brought Ezekiel to Jerusalem, to the temple, right to the Gate that looks toward the north, it is this gate where our Heavenly Father sits in His Temple in Heaven, we are seeing prophesy here so stay focused for me. The earthly temple is a type and an ensample of what it is going to be like in heaven and if you'll notice, Father's Word declares that the image of jealousy which provokes to jealousy is at the door that looketh to the north - Father's Door. Who is this image of jealousy? None other than satan himself as can be read in Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! [14:13] For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, (here it is) in the sides of the North: -> This is what satan wanted in the first earth age and it is still what he wants, and is what the controversy between Father and he is all about. [14:14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most high. We can read of this further in Ezekiel 28:1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, [28:2] Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; Revelation 17:15 tells us that the "seas" are peoples (generalized - meaning all the races), and multitudes (class of people), and nations (gentiles or non-Israelites) and tongues (languages - meaning all the people of the earth) yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: let's go one more place, in the New Testament, to II Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, (what day is Paul talking about here? The Day of The LORD, Christ's one thousand year millennial reign, which is BEFORE the Great White Throne Judgment and the Eternity) except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin (satan who fell and brought in all the sin in the first earth age and again in this earth (flesh) age) be revealed, the son of perdition; satan is THE ONLY
ONE in Father's Word BY NAME that is to die the second death - the death of the soul [2:4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. -> showing himself and all the world, causing the world to think he is Christ when in fact he is NOT christ. This will be at the end of this flesh age and Father allows it, because it is a test BY FATHER, to see who has really read His Word with UNDERSTANDING.
Ezekiel 8:4 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain. -> What was the vision that Ezekiel saw in the plain? Go back to Ezekiel 1 and read about the vehicles Father used to bring His throne to this age for Ezekiel to see. Now remember from the previous verse that Ezekiel was brought in the visions to Jerusalem, and he is seeing that The God of Israel - YHVH - Father, is already there.
Ezekiel 8:5 Then said he unto me, "Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north." So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry. -> As Ezekiel looked at the north gate, there was, as prophesied, satan showing himself as God. Keep in mind this is prophesy and a FUTURE event to Ezekiel, but will happen in our generation when satan in his role as antichrist will establish his throne in Jerusalem, and show the world that he is christ - this is at the sixth Seal, sixth Trump, sixth Vial, BEFORE Christ returns at the Seventh Seal, Trump and Vial. Which means this is anti-christ or "instead of" in the Greek, meaning instead of christ, the one that pretends to be christ.
Ezekiel 8:6 He said furthermore unto me, "Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from My sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations." -> Remember, this is God showing Ezekiel the future, the time when anti-christ is sitting in Jerusalem playing christ, and the whole world is whoring after him thinking he is Christ. It is what he always wanted, and he thinks that if he can get the world to follow after him, he will win the controversy and overthrow Father's plan. But, even though he knows Father's Word better than most Christians, he forgets that Christ returns After him, thereby ending this flesh age and ushering in His Millennial Age, when and where satan and his spirit will be bound in chains and cast into the bottomless
pit unable to deceive the spiritually dead for that one thousand years.
Ezekiel 8:7 And He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.
-> This hole in YHVH'S temple wall is just like satan and man's doctrines, unless we look closely and examine them, they would go unnoticed.
Ezekiel 8:8 Then said He unto me, "Son of man, dig now in the wall:" and when I digged in the wall, behold a door. -> There was Ezekiel digging in the wall of YHVH'S temple, and while digging, he found this hidden door. This is exactly how satan operates, in secrecy - on the outside it all looks so good - so right but, when you start to dig in and investigate, it is then that you start finding the abominable hidden things which ensnares people into his religious systems and ways. Things like the practicing of hunting of eggs in the worship of ishtar, and the flying to who knows where - rapture, being taught in some of Father's Houses.
Ezekiel 8:9 And He said unto me, "Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here." -> Idol worship such as prosperity doctrines, "prayers-by-mail" in order to fleece the elderly out of the retirement monies, and such.
Ezekiel 8:10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about. -> Pictures of church's with signs in the front yard declaring "In case of rapture there'll be no service today." Doctrines declaring that God's Word isn't the authority on homosexuals. What are some of the other idols "man" worships today? How about budah, goats, cows, and other such detestable things.
Ezekiel 8:11 And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up. -> These seventy Elders were the descendants of the those that YHVH told Moses to select to assist him in judging the house of Israel back in Numbers 11:16, and this thick cloud from the incense was supposed to be the prayers of all of God's righteous, ascending up to Him as delineated in Revelation 8:3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having an golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne [8:4] And the somke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angels hand. -> Zechariah was performing this - Abia's Course, in the temple when the angel came to him and told him that he and Elizabeth would conceive and she would bare a son in Luke 1. Luke 1:9 According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the Temple of the Lord. [1:10] And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense..
Ezekiel 8:12 Then said He unto me, "Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, 'The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.'" -> YHVH is telling Ezekiel to look and see the priests preying on and having sex with little boys and girls, homosexual marriage ceremonies being performed, and even the priests themselves are homosexuals and they say, "Father doesn't care, He doesn't see what is happening on the earth or in His House," the high ranking Military Chaplins telling the troops that they must comply with the repeal of the ban on homosexuality in the military. They fool themselves, and are setting themselves up for destruction in the Lake of Fire. As a minimum, they'll be severely disciplined during Christ's Millennial age, for they'll no longer be the priests but will be the ones receiving the teaching and disciplining.
Ezekiel 8:13 He said unto me, "Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do." -> Once these priests that have preyed on the children are found out, what happens? The church protects them, and then puts them in positions so that the public cannot exercise proper punishment on them, acting the whole time like YHVH doesn't see them and won't Himself punish them.
Ezekiel 8:14 Then He brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD'S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. -> Tammuz was an idol personifying vegetable and animal life, which was worshipped in Phoenicia and Babylonia. They were worshipping the Creator's creation - not the Creator.
Ezekiel 5:15 Then said He unto me, "Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these." -> Father knew what was happening in His House and it wasn't anything good, - it had NOTHING to do with Him and He wanted NOTHING to do with it.
Ezekiel 8:16 And He brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men (this is the Holiest of Holies and ONLY the High Priest was supposed to be here however, the preisthood had already been taken over by the nethinims), with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped (here it is) the sun toward the east. -> They were holding "sunrise services," worshipping His creation, NOT The Creator and it hurts His feelings and makes Him angry.
The number of the priests - 25, represents the "high priest" and the number of each priest for each course of the year as delineated in II Chronicles 27. Which in turn gives us the High Priest - one of Aaron's descendants, and two priests for each tribe of Israel.
Father knew that they would do wickedly and warned Moses and the Israelites as far back as when the were at the base of Mount Sinai and we can read of it in Deuteronomy 4:19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven. -> it was adopted in by Asa in II Chronicles 14:5 but then later abolished by Josiah in II Kings 23:5 & 11.
Ezekiel 8:17 Then said He unto me, "Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke Me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose. -> This branch is an "asherah" - a piece of wood cut and formed to the shape of a man's penis. It represented their form of worship that they did in the "groves" where they held their orgies. And symbolically, what did they then do with this branch? To Father, they were rubbing it right under his nose.
In the original manuscripts this reads "and they put the branch to "MY" nostrils." It reads differently here in the King James and other versions as well, because the Sopherim - Scribes of the word - the kenites and nethinims - NOT those of the House of Israel or those of the House of Judah - changed the way it reads, because they felt it too derogatory a term and they wanted to hide what Father really felt about it.
Ezekiel 8:18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: Mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in Mine ears with loud voice, yet will I not hear them." -> Can you NOW feel our Father's feelings on this and hear the anger of our Father's voice?! WORSHIP HIM, NOT His creation, and WORSHIP HIM PROPERLY, THE WAY HE WANTS, NOT the way of the pagan and heathen - Hosea 6:6.
