Ezekiel 28 records satan's elevation by Father and also his downfall. It is not set in the Age of flesh man, nor is it in the Future; but, in a Age of time prior to this one – the First Earth Age, when we were all created by Father and were still in our Spiritual bodies that we will return to when we either die in the flesh or at Christ's Second Advent.
Satan though as we read in this Chapter, is slated for death and I don't mean in the flesh as he will never be born of woman. So that means, his soul will be consumed in Father's consuming Lake of Fire. He, satan – the son of perdition, is the only one, BY NAME, at present is named to die in the Lake of Fire, there will be others, all the fallen angels who refused to be born of woman are also going to be consumed in the Lake of Fire, but, they are not named.
So let's listen to Ezekiel tell us what Father said of satan – prince of Tyrus and king of Tyre:
With that introduction being said, let's go to Father and ask Him for His Blessings on our Study of His Word: "Father, we come to you right now to thank you for inviting us to Your table in order that we might be able to partake of and receive Your Spiritual Meat, and Father, as we prepare to dine on the sustenance which sustains our inner man, we ask that You Oh LORD open our ears and eyes, that we might be able to hear and see your Truths, open our hearts and minds and prepare us in order that we may receive Your Truth. We Pray for Your Understanding of Your Word, we seek Your Knowledge in Your Word and most importantly Father, we Pray for and desire Your Wisdom from Your Word, in Jesus' Precious name we Pray, thank You Father, Amen."

Ezekiel 28:1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

28:2 Thine heart is lifted up.

Ezekiel 28:2 “Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus (a rock; or rock) (tsore), ‘Thus saith the Lord GOD; ‘Because thine heart is lifted up, and hast said, ‘I am a GOD, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas;’ yet thou art a man, and not GOD, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:" —> Father is telling Ezekiel in a vision the story of satan in the Age that was. And He is telling Ezekiel to tell satan the things that Father has in store for him and why.
What happened? satan's heart was so lifted up with pride and ego, that, as we'll see, he decided he no longer wanted to be the protector of God's mercy seat, he wanted to sit in it, and remove God, so that he could then be god.
Lord GOD=In the Hebrew, this is Adonai YHVH. This title is characteristic of the prophesies of Ezekiel, being used 214 times. Ezekiel is still in exile at the time of this writing. He uses this Title in order to remind himself that Father YHVH is still the Sovereign Lord over all the earth; though, Israel at this time is “Lo–ammi” — not My People.
Thine heart=Note the polyptoton by which the word “heart” is repeated in different inflections for emphasis — “thine heart. . .in the heart (midst). . .thine heart. . .the heart.”
GOD=In the Hebrew this is EL.
Of God=This usage is ELOHIM.
Midst=Heart, as in Chapter Ezekiel 27 throughout.
A man and not God (EL)=Note the pleonasm by which the same thing is put two different ways (first the Positive and then the Negative) to emphasize the fact that the “prince” here spoken to (verses v28:2-10) is purely human, and therefore not, “the king” spoken to in verses v28:11-19.
Tyre=First from the Strong’s Concordance, we find that it is Hebrew word number: H6865, - צר, or צור, - tsôr , tsôr, pronounced - tsore, or tsore, and means: The same as H6864; a rock; Tsor, a place in Palestine: - Tyre, Tyrus., and now from the Smith’s Bible Dictionary: Tyre, and now rom the American Tract Society Bible Dictionary: Tyre or Tyrus.
28:3 Thy wisdom.
Ezekiel 28:3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee: —> Notice the colon at the end of this verse, meaning it continues to the next verse.
Father gives credit to Daniel in this verse; of course, Daniel gained all his wisdom from Father; only, he didn't allow himself to become all puffed up on himself because of it.
But notice also that as Father says, satan had more wisdom than even Daniel had.
28:4 Thy wisdom.
28:4 Thy riches. Gotten.
Ezekiel 28:4 With thy wisdom (given from Father) and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures: —> Another colon, another continuation of the verse.
Remember, Father is addressing satan here, and these riches are not of this Age, in other words, they are not the materialistic we think of today.
28:5 Thy wisdom. Increased.

28:5 Thine heart is lifted up.
Ezekiel 28:5 By thy great wisdom and by thy traffik hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches: —> Continuing still, and we see what satan — the prince of Tyrus is doing: he is becoming prideful and full of himself.
28:6 As the heart of God.
Ezekiel 28:6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; ‘Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God; —> This is what satan wants — to be Father. Remember in Matthew 4and Luke 4, he said to Jesus as he was attempting to temp Him, that he would give all the worlds to Him; IF Jesus would just bow down and worship him. Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, —> This is the attempted “temptation” of Jesus. Let me ask you a question: Jesus, Emmanuel—which being interpreted “God with us” according to Matthew 1:23—do you really believe satan can tempt God? The answer is “no, he can not” so really this “temptation” is for our benefit only, to show US how to overcome satan when he comes and tempts us. Pay attention to the number of “and(s) in the following verses: this is called a polysyndeton: and means that, “much more is being done or taking place, than is said.” Luke 4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. —> We read in Matthew 4:2 that Jesus fasted for forty days and nights, not that he was tempted for forty days. “Forty” in Biblical Numerics is the number of, or signifies — “probation,” — a trial period. Forty years in the bible denotes a generation, and in that time within our lives is a trial period for these flesh body. Forty years was the time that the Israelites wondered in the wilderness, and that entire generation that had come up, out of Egypt, failed the tests that God set in front of them. So here, Jesus has not eaten for forty days, and the demands of His flesh body of course were screaming for food - sustenance. So, we see that it will require discipline and Jesus taking command over His flesh and the nature to feed His stomach. Notice however, that He did it, another ensample unto us that we too can have command over our flesh bodies. Luke 4:3 And the devil said unto Him, “If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. —> Here, satan is again saying something for “our” benefit, in other words, he is trying to cast doubt in our minds as to the FACT that Jesus is the Son of God. Knowing that Jesus had fasted for those forty days, he—satan—is playing on that, and telling Jesus to turn this stone—Father's creation—to bread. Remember — Jesus IS the Bread of Life. Something else to pay attention to and consider here in this verse: (1) How closely did you read the verse? Did you catch Whom the stone is? What does the verse read?—“. . .command this stone. . .”—if you think satan was talking of a stone on the ground, you didn't do your homework as far as researching, Studying, and translating Father's Word. The word "7ldquo;this" is our clue. So lets follow it out, the word “this” in the Strong's Concordance is Greek word number G5129, - τούτῳ, - toutō, pronounced - too'-to and means: Dative singular masculine or neuter of G3778; to (in, with or by) this (person or thing): - here [-by, -in], him, one, the same, there [-in], this.. So now lets follow G3778, - οὗτος, οὗτοι, αὕτη, or αὕται, - houtos, houtoi, hautē, or hautai, pronounced - hoo'-tos, hoo'-toy, how'-tay, or how'-tahee and means: Including the nominative masculine plural (second form), nominative feminine signular (third form), and the nominate feminine plural, (fourth form). From the article G3588 and G846; the he> (she or it), that is, this or that (often with the article repeated): - he (it was that), hereof, it, she, such as, the same, these, they, this (man, same, woman), which, who.. In other words, satan was telling Jesus to command "he, satan," and we know this from our Study of Ezekiel 28, the Chapter we are Studying now, where he is identified as the “prince of Tyrus” and the “king of Tyrus.” “Tyrus” in the Strong's Concordance, is Hebrew word number H6865, - צר, or צור, - tsôr, or tsôr, pronounced - tsore, tsore, and means: The same as H6864; a rock; Tsor, a place in Palestine: - Tyre, Tyrus.. How does this Tyrus or “rock” have any bearing on us? Lets go to Deuteronomy 32: Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are judgment: a GOD of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He. —> Obviously this Rock is our Father, now lets look at Deuteronomy 32:18: Deuteronomy 32:18 Of the Rock That begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten GOD That formed thee. —> Again, this Rock is our Father; and now lastly, Deuteronomy 32:31: Deuteronomy 32:31 For their rock is not as our Rock, Even our enemies themselves being judges. —> Notice the “Cases” in these verses, especially the last one — Deuteronomy 32:31 “their (lower case) rock is not our (upper case) Rock.” Jesus IS the Rock of our foundation, satan is the “want to be” rock. Something else that you might have missed is, satan's misquoting of Father's Word, just like he did in Genesis 3, while Jesus —The Logos, — The Word—corrected satan, properly and correctly stating and quoting Father's Word. This is WHY it is important to pay attention when we Study Father's Word, in order that we DON'T MISS something important. Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” —> By physical bread—food—no, man cannot live, nor does he have “Life.” BUT, with the Bread of Life, that is to say—Jesus Christ— John 6:35 and John 6:51, Who is also The Word — John 1:1, we can have Life — Eternal Life with Father. This also shows us how we are to receive Father's Word — “. . .By every Word of God. . .” — not every word of man. We can also read of this in Joshua 11: Joshua 11:15 As the LORD commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD commanded Moses. —> The Words which Father gave to Moses and were translated to Joshua, not one word of Father's commands were changed. They were followed to the letter, and that is how our actions and Studying of Father's Word should be, following to the letter that Father has given to us in His Word. Luke 4:5 And the devil, taking Him up into an high mountain, shewed unto Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. —> Jesus allowed satan, he in his corruptible body and Christ in His transfigured body, to lead Him and show Jesus all the kingdoms of all the Ages, not just of the Flesh Age. The world=In the Greek, this word “world” as used here is G3625, - οἰκουμένη, oikoumene, pronounced - oy-kou-men'-ay, and means: the world as inhabited.. From Dr. Bullinger: It is from the verb oikeo = to dwell. It is used of the habitable world, as distinct from the kosmos (the world as created). Hence it is used in a more limited and special sense of the Roman Empire, which was then predominant. See Luke 2:1; 4:5; 21:26. It is sometimes put by the Fig. Metonymy (of the Adjunct), Ap. 6, for the inhabitants (Acts 17:6,31; Heb. 2:5,6, &c).. Luke 4:6 And the devil said unto Him, “All this power will I give Thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. —> What does satan do?—said with incredulousness—He thinks he can give anything to Jesus, we will see Who has What power as we continue reading; but, notice, it was given to satan, he couldn't take it. So, Who gave it to him in the first place? Father did, and Father and Jesus are one John 1:1 and also John 14:9 reads: John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, “Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, ‘Shew us the Father?’. Luke 4:7 If Thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be Thine.” —> Here is why we are here: “if Thou therefore wilt worship me, all this shall be Thine” Again, Father — Jesus, gave it to satan to begin with, and He can take it away anytime He wants; so, really it is NOT satan's to give. But, here is what satan wants — all the world to worship him as god. But again, ALL THIS IS DONE FOR OUR BENEFIT, as Paul would say it, as an ensample unto us. What does Jesus do and or say to satan in reply? Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, “Get thee behind Me, Satan: for it is written, ‘Thou shalt worship the LORD thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.’” —> Jesus commanded satan to “get thee behind Me, satan.” And that is WHY he is until this day — behind the throne of God, being held UNTIL he is allowed to make war along with his angels against Michael the archangel and his angels. What is written that Jesus is commanding satan? We can read of it in Deuteronomy 6: Deuteronomy 6:13 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve Him, and shalt swear by His name. —> This instruction for our worship of Father continues down through the nineteenth verse. Go back and read all of this passage in Deuteronomy and pay attention to the subject and object being referred to. Father, and only Father, is Who we worship; because, all Blessings and our Salvation comes from Him. Yes, satan wants us to worship him; but, satan is going into the Lake of Fire and he wants your company. Likewise, as Jesus had the power over satan, we too have that same power IN JESUS NAME. He gave it to us in this very Book of Luke: and we can read of it in Luke 10:17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, “Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.” —> These are the apostles whom Jesus sent out to go and teach the surrounding towns and peoples. They don't have the power; BUT, “. . .through thy name. . . ” ONLY in Jesus name do we have power over ALL our enemies. Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. —> This is future, not at the time Jesus was walking in the Flesh, and it is still future to us yet too; though, not too much longer. Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents (even on our adversary himself: — that old serpent, called the devil and satan) and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. —> Only Jesus “in His name” can give us the power needed to have the victory over our enemies. Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. —> Don't get the "big head" over having this power over our enemies that Jesus has given you; rather, as He says here, be Thankful that He thought so much of you that Your name is written in the Book of Life which Father has in heaven. Luke 4:9 And he brought Him to Jerusalem, and set Him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto Him, “If Thou be the Son of God, cast Thyself down from hence: —> satan brings Jesus to the temple, to the top corner, the highest point. Of course satan knows Who Jesus is — God in the Flesh, the only Begotten Son of the Living God; but, yet, said again in order to cast seeds of doubt in our minds, he questions “if thou be.” What about you, did his casting those seeds of doubt sway you into believing Christ is not the Son of God? Luke 4:10 For it is written, ‘He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee: —> Here we go again with satan twisting Father's Word to fit what he wants it to say. Did I tell you to Study and pay attention to what you read? Did you catch what he twisted? Are you savvy enough to stay aware of, and ahead of satan and his twisting of Father's Word? This is what he does best, misquoting and twisting Father's Word, and taking things out of context. Sadly, there are very few Christians who can catch satan in his lies. One thing that you can always count on though, and that is when he or one of his children quote Scripture, it will be twisted a bit. When a person is biblically illiterate, they just will not know the truth from a lie. So before you come to rely on a quotation, know who is quoting it, and discern for yourself if it is true or not. What satan has just said is an outright lie. He was quoting from Psalms 91:11-12 which reads: Psalms 91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways. [91:12] They shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. —> Sure, satan's quote might look like it is a correct quote from the start; but, take a closer look — be wiser than the serpent. Luke 4:11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.’” —> Again I ask, did you catch the twisting and changing of Father's Word? It was right above, compare them. Did you catch the addition of “. . .at any time. . .?” and the restructuring “. . .they shall bear thee up. . .” — to — “. . .And in their hands. . .” Though, "slight" it is changing no matter how you slice it, and you have to be aware and knowledgeable of it. WHY, if you miss it here — satan's twisting, changing, — will you be knowledgeable enough to catch it when sitting in “a house of God?” Will you be able to catch the change when it comes out of a preacher's mouth. And again, here is the word “stone” or “rock.” Will you dash your foot because of lack of knowledge? Luke 4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him, “It is said, ‘Thou shalt not tempt the LORD thy God. —> Did you hear how Jesus shows us how to answer any one who tries to deceive us. He again quotes Deuteronomy 6 Deuteronomy 6:16 Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted Him in Massah. —> Don't tempt Father YHVH; for, your stupidity and lack of common sense could get you in a lot of trouble. What happened in Massah? Exodus 17:7 And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, “Is the LORD among us, or not? —> What were they chiding Father and Moses about? They were yet again whining about wanting water. It was here that Father told Moses to “speak to the Rock;” but, Moses' anger was hot because of the chiding and, he instead spoke to the Israelites and STRUCK the Rock. It was for this reason that Moses was NOT able to enter into the Promised Land. Luke 4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from Him for a season. —> And he is behind the Throne of God until this day. Why did satan leave Jesus? Because, as we can read in Matthew 4: Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, “Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, ‘Thou shalt worship the LORD thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.’”.
Lets return now—from that extensive little long side-Study—to where we left off, in the Book of Ezekiel, we were at Ezekiel 28:6, and I'll read it again: Ezekiel 28:6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; ‘Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God; —> Sadly, just about every preacher out there teaches that satan is an ugly monster—portrayed and assisted along by big hollyweird—who is out to kill people. Question for you: If he were to kill everybody, who would he have to worship him as god? The answer is of course — NOBODY.

28:7 Judgment executed by strangers.
Ezekiel 28:7 Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness. —> This is prophesy against satan, and Father is saying that He will send strangers from all the nations — His Elect who know the Truth in His Word, and they will wield their swords — Christ's two edged sword of the Truth, who'll make that stand against satan and his system, and allow Father's Holy Spirit to speak through their mouths as we can read in Mark 13: Mark 13:9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them. —> Father's Elect will be delivered up to satan, when he is here in his role of the pretend-to-be-Jesus: anti-christ, so that he—satan, pretending to be Jesus—can try and convince as many as he can, that he really is jesus; however, he is NOT Jesus, II Thessalonians 2 gives us a superb description of satan coming in his role of the pretend-to-be-jesus. Again, what is going to happen? Father's Elect will be delivered up to councils and satan's synagogues for Jesus’ names sake. Fear not; for, this is our purpose, to take this stand for Father as we'll see in the next two verses; also, Father will take care of us! Want a superb example? Go read about Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego in Daniel 3. Are they going to physically beat us? No; however, they will “browbeat” us because of the testimony we speak. Again, fear not, for Father will protect us. Do you know that if Father has given you the truth in His Word—opened your Spiritual eyes and ears—and you speak that truth, you then teach against the majority of what the churches teach today. And for this they will deliver you up to their councils, so that they can grill you, over what you teach. They—the churches and councils of today—teach what has been taught and passed down from the time before the captivity of Israel by the Babylonians. When they came out of that captivity, as Ezra and Nehemiah were taking a census of who was who, they found that the priesthood didn't even contain one true Levite because the priesthood had been completely taken over by the nethinims—those given to service—as can be read in Ezra 8:15. So therefore, the traditions of man based upon the law—as the pharisees and sadducees wanted it to be—was being taught by false teachers\preachers. Oh sure after this census, Ezra and Nehemiah restored the priesthood to the Levites but (1) they were still teaching the traditions of man; and (2) how long do you think the true Levites stayed in control of the priesthood? Like before, they became lazy and again allowed nethinims to take over and that is who was in charge of the priesthood during Jesus' time. He identified them and pointed them out for who they were in John 8 and many other places. Don't forget also, this will be during the time of the tribulation and satan — in his role as “ instead of jesus,” and his angels will be here and some—Father's Elect—will have to be delivered up before him and his councils, remember he is pretending to be Jesus and what Father has given you presently that you speak now, satan, as Jesus, will be telling you and all the world that you are lying because you'll be saying he is satan, not Jesus, and he'll be saying look at me I am Jesus. But again, as Jesus is telling us here in this and the next two verses, don't even think of what you'll reply, because Father will provide His answer through His Holy Spirit. 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations. —> Many preachers, churches, denominations, seminaries, and Christians teach and think that they have to have missionaries who go on missions because of this verse,—i.e., to make sure the Word is published in all nations—but, sadly because of their “one verse” doctrines, they take the Word out of context. The reality is, that, The Gospel—Father's Word, His True Word—will be published when His Elect are delivered up as these three verses are explaining to us. What is Father's Holy Spirit going to be saying? Several things, one will be the True Gospel—exposing satan and his children (those who crucified Him) for who they truly are,—which the two churches—Smyrna and Philadelphia (the only two with which Jesus was/is pleased with)—in Revelation 2:9 and 3:9 were teaching, this is important because this is what the people must come to know, and that is why it will be made public among all nations. Let's find out what they were teaching: Revelation 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; 'These things saith the First and the Last, Which was dead and is alive; [2:9] I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty (but thou art rich), and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan. —> Now in: Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; ' These things saith He That is Holy, He That is True, He That hath the key of David, He That openeth, and no man shutteth, and shutteth, and no man openeth; [3:8] I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept My Word, and hast not denied My name. [3:9] Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, but do lie; behold, I will make them come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. —> This key of David is important because, it is what opens your mind to the Truth in Father's Word and when that Truth is opened and revealed by Jesus, no man will ever be able to seal it back up, it also exposes the mind to what really took place in the garden of Eden between satan and Eve. Satan—the tree of knowledge of good and evil and NOT a snake—wholly—mind and body—seduced Eve into laying with him in order to try and interrupt the seedline through which He, —Immanuel — God with us—Jesus, would come in the flesh. If satan could interrupt that seedline, he could have defeated Father YHVH. It was his offspring with Eve many years later which crucified Jesus not the Jews—Judah, Hebrews—as is still taught today. It was his offspring with Eve which took over the scribing of Father's Word to try and change it as can be read in I Chronicles 2:55, it was also his offspring which took over the priesthood while the Israelites were in captivity to the Babylonians and were found out in Ezra 8:15. The other thing that Father's Holy Spirit will be saying through His elect and must be published among all nations is what comes in the next verse. Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. —> Rejoice!!! Here, our purpose is clearly defined. To make that stand (as we are delivered up as verse 13:9 tells us) against satan and his angels (and yes this will be published among all nations as verse 13:10 tells us) and allow Father's Holy Spirit to speak through us. What will Father’s Holy Spirit speaking through our mouths? This can be read in Acts 2:6-8 and Joel 2. We'll begin with our example in Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. [2:2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting [2:3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. —> Notice our word “ cloven tongues” in this verse? In the Strong’s Concordance, this is Greek word number: G1266, - διαμερίζω, - diamerizō, pronounced - dee-am-er-id'-zo, and means: From G1223 and G3307; to partition thoroughly (literally in distribution, figuratively in dissension): - cloven, divide, part.. In other words through partitioning, it can—as we'll see in the next few verses—be understood by all within earshot. [2:4] And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. —> What happened here? Father's Holy Spirit entered into them and they began to speak that which Father wanted them to speak. What is “ tongues?” In the Strong's Concordance, it is Greek word G1100, - γλῶσσα, - glōssa, pronounced - gloce'-sah, and means: Of uncertain affinity; the tongue; by implication a language (specifically one naturally unaccquired): - tongue.. So, tongues is a language (Hebrew, English, French, Spanish, German, Greek etc.) that is spoken by a person who attains that language without ever having studied that language. The word “utterance” here in this verse in the Strong's Concordance it is Greek word number: G669, - ἀποφθέγγομαι, - apophtheggomai, pronounced - ap-of-theng'-om-ahee, and means: From G575 and G5350; to enunciate plainly, that is, declare: - say, speak forth, utterance., in other words, someone who is uttering in tongues is speaking plainly in a language that was naturally unacquired, not some unknown (only a language God and His angels speak). [2:5] And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, (these are those that are identified as such because of where they live and are not of the house (tribe) of Judah) devout men, out of every nation under heaven. [2:6] Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. —> See, that wasn't hard, it was rather self-explanatory. [2:7] And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, “Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans? [2:8] And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? [2:9] Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and Judea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, [2:10] Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya, about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes. [2:11] Cretes, and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.” —> So each of these of every nation heard the apostles speak in their own language even down to their own county and city in which they were born. It wasn't an unknown tongue and it wasn't babbling. What exactly were they speaking? Let's continue listening to Peter right in the Book and Chapter we're in Acts 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel: [2:17] ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days,’ saith God, ‘I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: —> When did Peter say this would come to pass? In the last days. Well let me tell you, those days are upon us right now, we are in the final generation of this life in the flesh. [2:18] And on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit: and they shall prophesy: [2:19] And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: —> Are you scared yet? You shouldn't be, unless you don't know Father [2:20] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the LORD come: [2:21] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved.’ —> So just what was Joel meaning? Let's go there and find out. Joel 2: Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: —> Come to pass after what? Joel was prophesying that in the final days, the last generation of this earth age, the alarm was to be sounded, the trumpet blown signifying the end was near and the Day of The LORD was nigh at hand. How would we know we are in those final days? Father set benchmarks, signs so that those of His would know. The sign that the final generation started was the establishing of Israel as a nation in 1948. How do we know that? First Jesus tells us in Matthew 24:32, Mark 13:28 and Luke 21:29 that we must learn the parable of the fig tree. What is the parable of the fig tree? That is the setting out of the two baskets of figs that can be read about in Jeremiah 24. Those baskets were set in 1948, signifying the start of the final generation. How long is a generation? Either 40, 70 or 120 years, but in reality, it can be any time in between those as well. So the alarm is being sounded and the trumpet blown, meaning Father's Elect—both sons and daughters—have started prophesying that the end is close at hand for we are 62 years into this final generation and time is getting short. What are the two different figs in Jeremiah 24? Well first of all we have to remember who is in Jerusalem at this time and that is what this is about. The good figs are the three tribes of the house of Judah: Judah, Benjamin and part of the tribe of Levi. Why only three tribes? Because in I Kings 11 Father told Solomon that He was going to split and divide the twelve tribes of Israel when Solomon died. How were they split? Reuben, part of Levi, Zebulun, Issachar, Dan, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Joseph (Manasseh and Ephraim) would continue to be called the “House of Israel” while Judah, part of Levi and Benjamin would now be known as the House of Judah. It is these three tribes which comprise Israel—the country—today mixed in with the naughty figs, who are the naughty figs? The naughty figs are the kenites, those that claim to be Jews but do lie and are of the synagogue of satan. It is those which mixed in with the House of Judah 400 years before Christ was born, after the numbering of by Ezra and Nehemiah and are there to this day. So many times in the New Testament when we read the word "Jews," the writer is really talking about someone that is identified as such because of the location from which they were born or where they were living. The two houses, Israel and Judah, will not be brought back together until the LORD'S Day, the first day of the Millennium, as is recorded in Ezekiel 37. Joel 2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My Spirit. —> Do you see these signs Jesus said would come when He was asked by His disciples when shall these things be and what shall be the signs of His—second—coming in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21? Wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes in diverse places, apostasy—lack of Father's Word being taught Verse–by–Verse, Chapter–by–Chapter, and Book–by–Book as prophesied in Amos 8:11—running rampant, morals being flushed down the toilet on a daily basis. Yes, we are there, make no mistake about it. Our adversary satan in his role as the pretend-to-be-jesus: anti-christ, and his locust army will be kicked out of heaven shortly, are you ready for that time? [2:30] And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. —> What are all these, are they cause for concern? No, so don't allow the hell-fire and brimstone pastors to deceive you into believing satan is going to destroy this earth with blood up to the horse's bridles. Remember, satan wants people to worship him and for them to believe that he is Christ, he'll be coming in saying “peace, peace.” Also, Father is not going to allow His earth to be destroyed by nuclear holocaust, Jesus is coming here to establish His kingdom and He will not be coming to a place that is void and desolate. When He does come though, all the evil elements, shall be burned up as Peter says in II Peter 3:10 But the day of the LORD will come as a thief in the night, in the which the heavens shall pass away with great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. —> What will actually take place on that day, the day He returns? The elements that shall be burned up are not the elements which make up this earth; rather, we again must look at our word &ldquoelements;” for, as it is used here, in the Strong's Concordance, it is Greek word number: G4747, - στοιχεῖον, - stoicheion, pronounced - stoy-khi'-on, and means: Neuter of a presumed derivative of the base of G4748; something orderly in arrangement, that is, (by implication) a serial (basal, fundamental, initial) constituent (literally), proposition (figuratively): element, principle, rudiment.. So, in other words, all the evil things that are on this earth will be destroyed, not the elements and/or the earth itself, just all the things that cause offense, the things that Father will not allow to pollute His coming kingdom. [2:31] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. —> Prior to Jesus' return, satan will lose all the evil spirits that are being held in the bottomless pit and when they are loosed, yeah, the sun will appear to be darkened and the moon into blood. Now, think about this for a moment, the brightness of Jesus' coming will cause the sun to appear to be dark and at His coming we all change back into our spiritual bodies. So now, put away your fleshly thinking and don't be afraid which is the reason so many Christians want to fly away in their rapture, they just cannot get past thinking in the flesh and have this fear ingrained into them.
28:8 Judgment executed by strangers.
28:8 Thou shalt die the death of deaths.
Ezekiel 28:8 They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain (spiritual body death—otherwise known as the second death — the death of the soul—) in the midst of the seas. —> After Father's Holy Spirit speaks and reveals satan for who he is, he and his cronies will not look so appealing any longer, all those Christians that sat in their pews being taught falsely and the traditions of man are going to be so ashamed of themselves, they'll be praying for mountains to fall upon them for their shame.
In the midst of the seas=Father translates the word “water” for us in Revelation 17:15, and we learn that water is people.
28:9 I am ELOHIM.
28:9 Thou art a man.
Ezekiel 28:9 Wilt thou yet say before Him That slayeth thee, ‘I am God?’ but thou shalt be a man, and no GOD, in the hand of Him That slayeth thee. —> The only one in Father's Word who is already named to die the second death — the death of the soul — is satan — the son of perdition. Yes, the fallen angels — the nephilim, are also going to die immediately at Jesus' Second Advent; but, they are not named.

28:12 His “wisdom” and “beauty.”
28:12 “Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, (don’t let the name fool you here, for as we’ll see, Father IS talking to and about satan) and say unto him, ‘Thus saith the Lord GOD; ‘Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. —> How was satan created, an ugly monster? No, he was beautiful. Not only was he beautiful; but, as we’ll see here in this chapter, he also was an anointed one of Father. Because he was so good, Father elevated him to be one of the guardians of His mercy seat.
We have now changed satan's position from the “prince of Tyre,” to “king of Tyrus.” The “king of Tyrus” was his position before his fall, in the first earth age. Father is telling satan, “I created you this way,” He—Father—must have loved satan at the time of satan's creation, that He give him such perfect beauty, and full of wisdom. Prior to his falling away and drawing that one third of Father's children with him in that falling away, satan was in good standing with our heavenly Father; but, then he fell because he no linger wanted to be the protector of Father's Mercy Seat, no, he now wanted to sit in it and be god.
Father gave satan one of the two the highest positions of any created being; that of protector of the mercy seat itself. Once satan's pride and vanity took control of him, he departed from Father's plan for him, he set his mind on being the “King of Kings” and assuming the role of Jesus Christ, the only begotten on the Father.
28:13 His “wisdom” and “beauty.”
Ezekiel 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. —> Here is how we know Father is talking about satan “. . .thou hast been in Eden the garden of God. . .” Yes, satan—the tree of knowledge of good and evil — a man, not a snake—was there. “Tabrets” and “pipes” sounds like something out of a science fiction movie; BUT, Father is using symbology and symbology ONLY here to describe how He created satan very beautiful. He is using musical instruments, and the decorations thereof to try and show us how beautiful satan really was\is. It is because of hollyweird and THEIR description of satan, that man has such a hard time believing Eve could be seduced by something so heinous. When we look at the reality of his being either the most, or the second most beautiful of all of Father’s created beings, we can begin to see how and why Eve fell to the temptation of being seduced by him in Genesis 3.
28:14 The covering Cherub.
Ezekiel 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. —> He was the “anointed cherub that covereth;” meaning, he protected Father’s mercy seat, a position that was not just for anybody.
Our adversary, satan, was created a cherub, with a body form such as we have, and as such, when he is referred to being a “snake — a serpent” in the Garden of Eden, it is only a Hebraism; meaning, it is a figure of speech, such as we call used car salesmen snakes because of their lying through their teeth in order to make a sale.
28:15 The covering Cherub.
Ezekiel 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. —> Father says He created him perfect, the full pattern, and Father gave him much responsibility UNTIL moral evil, perverseness, unrighteousness and wickedness — in other words, iniquity, was found in him. Meaning when he became so puffed up with conceit because of Father's elevating him to the position of protector of Father's mercy seat, he changed, and no longer wanted to protect that seat; but, instead, now wanted to SIT in that seat, and the only way to do that, would be to remove Father, and thereby take over FROM Him. He, satan, decided he would overthrow Father and he enlisted the help of as we read in Revelation 12:1-4, one third of Father's children in this overthrow, lets go and read of it: Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: —> In Revelation 12 we leave the last three and a half year period of flesh man, and return all the way back to the world that was prior to the katabole — the first earth age; and some of the events that happened in the world that was. It is here in Father's Word, that records just what happened. This “great wonder” is a sign in the heavens. The “woman” here is not the church, for a church building has never delivered any child. This “mother” has nothing to do with the church; this woman is “the nation — Israel,” the twelve sons of Jacob, or tribes. Also known as The—with The Article—Woman Jesus Himself was speaking of in John 16:21. The same political and social orders that were in existence at the end of the First Earth Age,—the Age prior to this age of flesh man, we were all there in our Spiritual bodies—will be ruling over the earth at the end of our current Earth Age, this time it will also include a religious order. So fix it in your mind that the time period that is being spoken of here in these verses; is that time when the souls of men were not yet in the flesh, it was in that First Earth Age, the time between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. Revelation 12:2 And she being with child, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. —> This “child” to be delivered is the Messiah — God in the Flesh — Jesus Christ, and the woman delivering the child is symbolic of mother “Israel;” however, in the physical sense of this Earth Age, we know her to be “Mary.” It is satan's sole purpose to destroy this child. When you understand this—his sole purpose is to destroy the child—to prevent Him from being born, so that, as he thinks and believes, he then can say that he defeated Father's plan of being born in the flesh. How will he try and destroy Father's plan — by killing anybody? No, that isn't the way he planed on it — as we will read — if we go back to the beginning — Genesis 3, we will see it was by seducing Eve, thereby corrupting the seedline. If he can corrupt the seedline, it will not be pure, therefore, Father cannot be born. But, I get ahead of myself and digress. This woman is the wife —Israel—and the son—The Son of Almighty God—and Father wants us to feel and understand the events occurring then;for, what happens to them affects Him, exactly as it would you or I in a similar situation. Revelation 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, haven seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. —> This other “wonder” — the “Great red dragon,” is non-other than our adversary: satan. Here again, it is all happening in heaven, between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 — in the Age that was i.e., the First Earth Age. All these events will be just like it will be at the end of this Earth Age — the Flesh Age of mankind. In the First Earth Age, satan had seven dominions, and ten agencies of power that had their authority. He had complete universal control over that prior earth kingdom Age; and he also had total political control of these agencies — Father had given him this control because He loved satan. This we can see when we read Revelation 13, it is a carbon copy of this Earth Age, and the United Nations, with it's ten units of power, taking control over all it's dominions that are granted it by man. Though the forms of government and their systems appear at first to be the same, we will see the differences between these two Ages: That of the first, and that of the Flesh Age we are now in. Revelation 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. —> These “stars” of heaven are the “sons of God” of Genesis 6:2; Genesis 6:4; Job 1:6; Job 2:1 and Job 38:7. The ole “great red dragon” — satan, deceived and caused one third of Father's Children to follow him. One third of Father's Children, are all those in their “soul, i.e., their Spiritual, corruptible bodies,” which are also called “angelic bodies.” No, they do not have wings like we see man make statues depicting them, but the cherubs do have wings, and there is a difference between cherub and angels. Father is telling us here, that through satan's falling away from Father in the First Earth Age, he deceived and caused one third of Father's children to fall away with him. He caused them to turn away from Father, and they worshiped him instead, and believed in him to be their god — look at the Children of Israel as they were coming up out of Egypt, at the base of MT Sinai, while Moses was up on the mountain talking with Father and receiving the stone tablets from Him. What did they do? They caused Aaron to fashion a calf out of the gold that Father had ensured that got from the Egyptians and said “this calf is our god, it led us up out of Egypt.” That was an Absolute lie, and they even knew it to be a lie; but, the people believed it anyway. This is also his desire for this Age—to cause you and I—the children of God, to worship him. When we read that “Eve is the mother of all living,” it means that “Jesus came from, or through mother Eve.” He came through the offspring of mothers Eve, and Mary. And it is through Jesus that we can have eternal life with Father. For acceptance of God's gift, all mankind must pass from death to eternal life through the blood of Jesus Christ. So we see this refers to spiritual life, and not necessarily physical life.

Ezekiel 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, (what is Father going to do? He is going to destroy him because of what he has done, and how is Father going to do this?) from the midst of the stones of fire. —> This is the over-throw from the world that was, the “katabole” of the First Earth Age. Father told satan that he was finished, and was to be removed from before His altar. We know this for, we read in ten verses in the New Testament—half of which are spoke by Jesus—the phrase, “foundation of the world.” When we check out the word “foundation” in our Strong’s Concordance, we find that it is Greek word number: G2602, - καταβολή, - katabolē, pronounced - kat-ab-ol-ay', and means: From G2598; a deposition, that is, founding; figuratively conception: - conceive, foundation., now, let’s continue tracing it back and check out the word G2598: G2598, - καταβάλλω, - kataballō, pronounced - kat-ab-al'-lo, and means: From G2596 and G906; to throw down: - cast down, lay.. Yes, Father had to throw down the Age that was, He had to destroy it and start anew with us in our Flesh bodies, in order that He too could become flesh and go to the cross for us, and lay down His flesh life, thereby cleansing us of our sins; but, even more importantly as we read in Hebrews 2: Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; —> This was all part of Father's Plan from the very beginning, to become and provide a means of Salvation for us in order that those who love Him can have eternal life with Him, free from all sin.

Ezekiel 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. —> With all of us looking upon him and the other Protector of Father's Mercy Seat, satan's heart was lifted up in self pride. He must have received much praise from Father and us, like we see those pompous, self righteous fools on TV talk shows, sports and movie "stars," and our politicians. Our adversary satan believed his own lies, and his self-righteousness took control of him. Pride, wisdom, and beauty can be the downfall of any person if they don't realize that everything they have is from Father. Father should get all the glory from us in all that we do; and, in all that we have.
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is coming back for His Second Advent very shortly, when He does,He will carry out this judgment which Father put on satan. Then the whole world will see him for who and what he is, a fraud and a fake.

Ezekiel 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. —> Here is it, by Father's consuming fire—as read in Hebrews 12: Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a concuming fire.—will satan be destroyed! At Jesus' return, satan's his role as "pretend-to-be-jesus": anti-christ, is toast! He'll be consumed from within in the sight of all men.
28:19 They that behold thee.
Ezekiel 28:19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.’’” —> All they that know thee=Everyone of us knew satan and the position Father had elevated him to in the First Earth Age, we also know of how he deceived and drew one third of Father's Children to him and rebel against Father, how one third sat on the sidelines, a third said I Love You Father; but, not enough to fight for You while war raged. All those who are here in the flesh at the end of this Age, will quickly discover upon Jesus' return for His Second Advent that satan was playing a role, and he'll never again play that role of pretend-to-be-jesus as; that role is destroyed and everybody in the flesh will see it and understand it.
Oh, he'll be able to deceive Father's Children one more time; however, that won't be until the end of Jesus' 1,000 year Millennial reign, when he is let out of the pit he had been held in, just before the day of the Great White Throne Judgment as read in Revelation 20.

Ezekiel 28:21 “Son of man, set thy face against Zidon (in the sense of catching fish; or fishery; or, fishing) (tsee-done'), and prophesy against it, —> Zidon=Also known as “Sidon” was the sister city of Tyre (Tyrus), and Father is telling Ezekiel to also prophesy against it as he had against Tyrus.
Zidon=First from the Strong’s Concordance, we find that it is Hebrew word number: H6721, - צידון, or צידן, - tsı̂ydôn, or tsı̂ydôn, pronounced - tsee-done', or tsee-done', and means: From H6679in the sense of catching fish; fishery; Tsidon, the name of a son of Canaan, and of a place in Palestine: - Sidon, Zidon., and now from the Smith’s Bible Dictionary:The description from the Smith’s Bible Dictionary is too long to post here; so, I’ll just post the link to it: “Zidon.”

Ezekiel 28:22 And say, ‘Thus saith the Lord GOD; ‘Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her. —> They shall know that I am God=Many times He says this in His Word. This Generation that we are now living in; in 2016, also falls into this category, and needs to hear and comprehend.

Ezekiel 28:23 For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD. —> Here is the two edged sword of the LORD again, that sword, i.e., the Truth in His Word, which cuts both ways, shredding the traditions of man, mans doctrines and man's false teachings.

Ezekiel 28:24 And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the LORD GOD.’’ —> On the LORD'S Day; otherwise known as The Day of The LORD—either way you want to say it—as Paul tells us in I Corinthians 15, we will all be changed into our Spiritual Bodies and as we read in Revelation 20, satan will bound and cast into the abyss for that 1,000 years so that the Truth can be heard, and the disciplining begun.
28:25 Prophesy of good for Israel.
Ezekiel 28:25 Thus saith the Lord GOD; ‘When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob. —> Everybody will be there in Christ's Millennium, except satan and the nephilim – fallen angels, and as we read in Revelation 20:5-6 and here in this Book of Ezekiel, Chapters 40-48, especially Chapter 44, there will be “priests” there to teach those who have not heard the Truth.
28:26 Prophesy of good for Israel.
Ezekiel 28:26 And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.’” —> Yeah, “they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.” This hasn't come to pass yet; well, in part yes; but, not permanently. It shall come to pass through the restoration of Father's people. That will occur when Jesus Christ sets up His kingdom on earth for the Millennium age. Then the whole world will know who the LORD God is, He is our Father: ELOHIM.
He is going to set a fire within “in the midst” of him, to devour.
