JEREMIAH CHAPTER 35

The year is 495B.C., The United Nation of the House of Israel has already been divided into two separate Nations, the House of Israelthe ten Tribes consisting of Reuben, Simeon, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, and half each of the Tribes of Ephraim and Manassehand the Nation of the House of Judahconsisting of the Tribes of Judah, Benjamin, the majority of the Levitical Priesthood, and half each of the Tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh. The Nation of the House of Israel is no longer a Nation as, because of their idolatry and worshipping of false gods, they have already been taken captive by the Assyrians 116 years previous, in the year 611B.C..

We are presently in king Jehoiakims 4th year of his eleven year reign and rule over the Nation of the House of Judah.

This Chapter is, like Jeremiah 24, an insert of sorts as, the first eleven verses of this Chapter are not about the people of the House of Judah; but, are about those naughty figs, the figs which were evil, so evil that they could not be eaten, who Father showed us in Jeremiah 24 have slipped into the Nation and are claiming and pretending to be of Judah.

Jeremiah 35 is an interesting chapter because Father YHVH is going to show us that those naughty, evil figs will not partake of wine the blood of Christ. Were going to read that Father YHVH tells Jeremiah to gather these naughty, evil figs and bring them into His House His Temple, and offer them wine to drink, will they drink the wine the blood of Christ? Lets continue on and find out.

With that introduction being said, lets go to Father and ask Him for His Blessings on our Study of His Word: Father, we come to you right now to thank you for inviting us to Your table in order that we might be able to partake of and receive Your Spiritual Meat, and Father, as we prepare to dine on the sustenance which sustains our inner man, we ask that You Oh LORD open our ears and eyes, that we might be able to hear and see your Truths, open our hearts and minds and prepare us in order that we may receive Your Truth. We Pray for Your Understanding of Your Word, we seek Your Knowledge in Your Word, and most importantly Father, we Pray for and desire Your Wisdom from Your Word, in Jesus Precious name we Pray, thank You Father, Amen.

35:1 Command of
   YHVH to Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 35:1 The word which came unto Jeremiah (YAH will rise; and, whom YAH has appointed) (yir-meh-yawי-hoo) from the LORD in the days of Jehoiakim (YHVH will raise; and, whom YHVH sets up) (yeh-ho-yaw-keemי) the son of Josiah (founded of YAH; and, whom YHVH heals) (Yo-she-yawי-hoo) king of Judah (celebrated; and, praised, celebrated) (yeh-hoo-dawי), saying,  —>   This is Fathers Prophet Jeremiah. Well see a different Jeremiah two verses from now, in verse v35:3 below, so stay focused and on guard.

Jeremiah=Fathers Prophet Jeremiah was the son of Hilkiah of Anathoth which made him of the lineage of Ithamar, not Eleazar, this still made him of the Priest lineage, a descendant of Aaron. He was born approximately in the year 539. Father appeared to His Prophet Jeremiah when he was a young man of roughly 21 years of age. We can attest to this because of how he begins his Book: Jeremiah 1:1 The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin: [1:2] To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.   —>   Father appeared to Jeremiah during the reign of Josiah who began his reign and rule over the House of Judah at the age of 8 years old, this is now his 13th year of his rule, making him now 21 years old. Jeremiah was roughly the same age of Josiah, this making Jeremiah also 21 years old. We then skip down to verse v1:6 where we read: [1:6] Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.   —>   Here, Jeremiah declares that he is indeed a young man. Though he says he is a child, his statement is more likely in reference to his lack of knowledge in Fathers Word, than in his actual age. Jeremiah prophesied for 41 years, and made 51 clearly distinct prophecies during his lifetime. He began prophesying during the reign and rule of Josiah and prophesied until Jerusalem fell and the House of Judah went into captivity to the Babylonians in 477B.C.. Jeremiah himself was seized by some of the people of Judah, and taken along with king Zedekiahs daughters, down into Egypt in spite of the warning by Father through Jeremiah. As for those who seized Jeremiah and Zedekiahs daughters and fled to Egypt; Father through Jeremiah prophesied this concerning them: Jeremiah 44:11 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah. [44:12] And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach. [44:13] For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: [44:14] So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.    —>   This came to pass as, those of our forefathers who refused to hear and obey Father and go into captivity to the Babylonians; but instead, grabbed Jeremiah and Zedekiahs daughters and fled down into Egypt, Father destroyed. As for Jeremiah and Zedekiahs daughters, the last we read of them Biblically is in Jeremiah 44. There is more information on them historicallynot Biblicallyone of Zedekiahs daughters was named Scota and one named Tea Tephi. For the etymology of the name Jeremiah, we read the following in Abarim Publications, Jeremiah lived in a Benjaminite village close to Jerusalem named Anathoth (Jeremiah 1:1) where he also owned land (Jeremiah 32:7-15). For most of his ministry he was accompanied by Baruch the scribe, son of Neriah (Jeremiah 32:12), and most of Jeremiahs ministry concerned the invasion of Judah by Babylonian forces, the sacking of Jerusalem and the exile. The name Jeremiah consists of two parts, the final one being יה, the abbreviated form of יהוה, the Name of God (see YHVH). Its not exactly clear where the first part of the name Jeremiah may derive of, although Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary and New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List agree its from the verb רמה (rama): NOBSE Study Bible Name List favors relations with rama and reads Yahveh Throws, and since this may be a bit odd, continuous to explain that it may be in the sense of laying a foundation, and translates the name Jeremiah with Yahveh Establishes, Appoints or Sends. This seems, however, a bit too creative. This root group is never used to indicate the fixing of something, but always quite the opposite. Reading the name Jeremiah this way may seem to make him a Human Arrow On Gods Bow, but in fact it will mean Hell Be Dumped By The Lord. BDB Theological Dictionary tries to solve this problem by first of all go with an assumed secondary root that only means to loosen, and then referring to an Assyrian name or phrase meaning whose womb is loosened. That way, proclaims BDB, the name Jeremiah may mean Yah Looseneth, and thus conveying the gladness of parents for conceiving (compare Genesis 29:31). Still, in Hebrew this verb is never used in relation to giving birth. Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names abandons this troublesome root-group altogether but also seeks refuge in a word that has no Biblical precedent: the unused root ירם (yaram), to be elevated. Jones reports that this root has to do with the familiar Hebrew verb רום (rum), to be high, lofty: Hence Jones reads Elevated Of The Lord. However, the derivation רמה (rama) means height, high place. Using that particular word would render the name Jeremiah as My High Place Is The Lord.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H3414, - יִרְמְיָה or יִרְמְיָהוּ, - yirmeyâh or yirmeyâhû, pronounced - yir-meh-yawי or yir-meh-yawי-hoo, and means: From H7311 and H3050; YAH will rise, Jirmejah, the name of eight or nine Israelites: - Jeremiah. Total KJV occurrences: 147.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: The description of Jeremiah in the Smiths Bible Dictionary is extensive and too long to post here; so, Ill instead just post the link to it: Jeremiah.

The LORD=This Title of Father as used here in this verse, is Father in His Role of יְהֹוָה, YHVHfrom Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendices: YHVH, YAHVEH, or YEHOVAHthe sacred and personal name of Father. While Elohim is God as the Creator of all things, YEHOVAH is the same God in covenant relation to those whom He has created (compare II Chronicles 18:31). YEHOVAH means the Eternal, the Immutable One, He Who WAS, and IS, and IS TO COME. The Divine definition is given in Genesis 21:33. He is especially, therefore, the God of Israel; and the God of those who are redeemed, and are thus now in Christ. We can say My God, but not My YEHOVAH, for YEHOVAH is MY God..

35:2 Command of
   YHVH to Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 35:2 Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.   —>   First off, who are the Rechabites? Its important, do you know? Likewise also, it is important to know why Father wants Jeremiah and us to know all this information. Lets turn to I Chronicles 2:55 and read: I Chronicles 2:55 And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.   —>   These are some of the peoples Father wanted the Israelites to utterly destroy upon entering into Canaan, the Promised Land. They were part of the nethinims which Joshua, the elders and the Levites brought in to do their chores in Joshua 9. But, lets see who these kenites are. In the Strongs Concordance the word kenite is Hebrew word number: 7017, - קֵינִי or קִינִי, - qêynı̂y or qı̂ynı̂y, pronounced - kay-neeי or kee-neeי, and means: Patronymic from H7014, a Kenite or member of the tribe of Kajin. Total KJV occurrences: 12.. Now lets look at word H7014: H7014, - קַיִן, - qayin, pronounced - kahי-yin, and means: Kajin, the name of the first child, also a place in Palestine, and of an oriental tribe: - Cain, Kenite. Total KJV occurrences: 19.. So, in other words, they were the offspring of Cain. Does that matter? What do you think Father is trying to show you here?!!! It definitely does matter. Why you ask? Listen to what He has to say.

35:3-5 Obedience
   of Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 35:3 Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;   —>   This Jeremiah is NOT our Jeremiah, this ones fathers name is Habaziniah. Our Jeremiahs fathers name is Hilkiah, which we can find in Jeremiah 1:1. If we dont pay attention, things can get confused pretty quickly. TheyCain and his offspring, the kenitesnamed their children in like names of the seedline which Father would be born in the fleshthe Adamic seedlinefor that very reason to confuse us, or keep us confused as to who they are, in other words, to stay hidden. Go back to The Book of Genesis and see how the names of Cains offspring closely matched those of Seths; and it wasnt because of just wanting to sound similar, it was to keep us confused. But, listen to Father.

Jaazaniah=Dont let anything about this Jaazaniah fool you brethren. Though his name may have the meaning of heard of YAH, his lineage of being a Rechabite, is more telling. Make no mistake about it, this Jaazaniah is a kenite, a descendant of Cain, and as such, a descendant of satan. For the etymology of the name Jaazaniah we read the following in Abarim-Publications: The name Jaazaniah consists of two elements, the final bit being formed from the appellative יה (Yah) = יהו (Yahu) = יו (Yu), which in turn are abbreviated forms of the Tetragrammaton, the name of the Lord: YHVH. The first part of the name Jaazaniah comes from the denominative verb אזן (azan), meaning to hear or rather to give ear to: For a meaning of the name Jaazaniah, New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List reads Yahveh Hearkens and Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary proposes the similar Yahveh Heareth. Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names has He Will Be Heard Of The Lord.. Now from the Strongs Concordance where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H2970, - יַאֲזַנְיָה or יַאֲזַנְיָהוּ, - ya'ăzanyâh or ya'ăzanyâhû, pronounced - yah-az-an-yawי or yah-az-an-yawי-hoo, and means: From H238 and H3050; heard of YAH; Jaazanjah, the name of four Israelites: - Jaazaniah. Compare H3153. Total KJV occurrences: 4.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: whom Yehoveh hears. A Rechabite, son of Jeremiah. (Jeremiah 35:3)..

Jeremiah=Dont let the name of this Jeremiah fool you brethren, this Jeremiah is not Fathers Prophet Jeremiah. This Jeremiah is a kenite, his lineage in Jeremiah 35:3, tells us so, he is a descendant of Rechab, thus making him a descendant of Cain, and as such, a descendant of satan. For the etymology of the name Jeremiah, we read the following in Abarim Publications, A Rechabite Jeremiah 35:3. Total KJV occurrences: 147.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: whom Yehoveh has appointed. The Smiths Bible Dictionary does not give a description of this Jeremiah.

Habazaniah=There is only one man named Habazaniah in all of Fathers Word, and he is only mentioned one time, in Jeremiah 35:3. What we do know of Habazaniah is that, he is a kenite, a descendant of Rechab, thus making him a descendant of Cain and therefore, a descendant of satan. For the etymology of the name Habazaniah, we read the following in Abarim Publications, The name Habazziniah occurs only once in the Bible. The prophet Jeremiah lists him as the father of his namesake Jeremiah, who was the father of Jaazaniah, the chief of the Rechabites (Jeremiah 35:3). The origin of the name Habazziniah is a mystery, although it ends in the familiar theonym יה (yah), which is short for יהוה or YHVH. The famous 19th century German theologian Gesenius knew of a Chaldean word בוצינא (buzinaי), meaning lamp, and translated our name as Lamp Of Jehovah. The problem here is that the regular Hebrew word for lamp is נר (ner), hence the name Neriah. And the letter ח (h) does not disappear for no reason (it never serves as inconsequential prefix or grammatical nuance), so the link between the word בוצינא (buzinaי) and our name Habazziniah is really not that strong. Gesenius also refers to the noun חבצלת (habasselet), which describes a kind of plant (see our article on the name Habakkuk for more on this plant), but omits an explanation of how this word might relate to our name. Alfred Jones (Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names) reports that in his 18th century onomasticon, Simonis derived our name from the term חבה בצן יה but didnt explain where he obtained it and translated it with text clypeo Dominus, with which he appears to have meant to say he hides in the Lords shield, or something to that extend. The verb חבה (haba) indeed means to hide: The element בצן is harder to trace. But perhaps Simonis saw it as a compound of the prefix ב (be), in or because of, and the noun צנה (sinna), which indeed denotes a large shield: Since nobody knows and everybody is guessing, here at Abarim Publications we guess that the first part of our name comes from the verb חבב (habab), to love or embrace: None of the sources we commonly consult offer an interpretation of our name Habazziniah, but Simonis appears to have translated it as He Hides In The Lords Shield. Here at Abarim Publications we guess that it means A Love That Extends Out Is Yah. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H2262, - חֲבַצַּנְיָה, - chăbatstsanyâh, pronounced - khab-ats-tsan-yawי, and means: Of uncertain derivation, Chabatstsanjah, a Rechabite: - Habazaniah. Total KJV occurrences: 1.. Neither the Smiths Bible Dictionary nor the Eastons Bible Dictionary listed any information for a Habazaniah.

Jeremiah 35:4 And I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door.   —>   Our Jeremiah brought these kenites into the deepest chambers of Fathers house.

Hanan=Hanan was the son of Igdaliah, a man of God as we read in Jeremiah 35:4. He is only mentioned in this verse, so the only thing we know of him is that he was a Priest, thus making him a descendant of Levi. We know this because, Father told Jeremiah to bring the kenite Rechabites into His House and offer the kenites winewhich they refused to drinkJeremiah brought these kenites into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, in order for Hanans sons to have a chamber in Fathers Temple, they would have had to be Priests. For the etymology of the name Hanan, we read the following in Abarim Publications, A son of Igdaliah, the man of God. During the time of Jeremiah, the sons of this Hanan apparently formed a specialized sub-class or guild in the ranks of the priests. Their duties required a designated room, and in that room Jeremiah addressed the Rechabites (Jeremiah 35:4). The name Hanan is obviously derived from the verb חנן (hanan), meaning to be gracious: For a meaning of the name Hanan, New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List reads Merciful, Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names has Compassionate, and Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary proposes Gracious.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H2605, - חָנָן, - chânân, pronounced - khaw-nawnי, and means: From H2603; favor; Chanan, the name of seven Israelites: - Canan. Total KJV occurrences: 12.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: Merciful. Son of Igdaliah (Jeremiah 35:4)..

Igdaliah=Igdaliah was a man of God as we read in Jeremiah 35:4. He is only mentioned in this verse, so the only thing we know of him is that he was a Priest, and as such, a descendant of Levi. We know this because, Father told Jeremiah to bring the kenite Rechabites into His House and offer the kenites winewhich they refused to drink. Jeremiah brought these kenites into the chamber of the descendants, of the sons of Hanan, and in order for Igdaliahs son Hanans sons to have a chamber in Fathers Temple, they would have had to be Priests. For the etymology of the name Igdaliah, we read the following in Abarim Publications, The graceful name Igdaliah — which actually is spelled Igdalyahu, but in English transliterations we usually leave the final u away — occurs only once in the Bible. The Lord instructs the prophet Jeremiah to bring the family of the Rechabites to the temple and offer them wine to drink. They refuse because their father Jonadab, son of Rechab, has instructed them to not drink wine, and so they havent. Jeremiah is then to ask them, why they obey their earthly father but not their heavenly Father. All this takes place in the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, the man of God (Jeremiah 35:4). The name Igdaliah consists of two elements, the final one being יה (Yah) = יהו (Yahu) = יו (Yu), which in turn are abbreviated forms of the Tetragrammaton יהוה, YHVH, or Yahveh. The first part of our name is an expression of the verb גדל (gadel) meaning to become strong or great: The letter י (yod) with which our name starts comes from the grammatical form that formally governs a future tense, but in translations usually is reflected by a present tense. For a meaning of the name Igdaliah, New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List reads Great Is Yahveh and Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary has the similar Yah(u) Is Great. Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names proposes The Lord Will Make Great.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H3012, - יִגְדַּלְיָהוּ, - yigdalyâhû, pronounced - yig-dal-yawי-hoo, and means: From H1431 and H3050; magnified of YAH; Jigdaljah, an Israelite: - Igdaliah. Total KJV occurrences: 1. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: whom Yehovah makes great. A prophet or holy man --the man of God --named once only, (Jeremiah 36:4) as the father of Hanan..

Masseiah=Maaseiah is identified in Jeremiah 35:4, as being the son of Shallum. When we turn back and read Jeremiah 32:7-8, we find that Shallum is the uncle of Fathers Prophet Jeremiah, thus making Maaseiah a cousin to Jeremiah; we further read in Jeremiah 32:7, that Maaseiah has a brother named Hanameel; researching further still, we find in II Kings 22:14, that Fathers Prophetess Huldah was the wife of Shallum who most likely is the same Shallum who was Maaseiahs father, which would then make Hulda Maaseiahs mother. I can pretty much determine this because, all three are mentioned during the reigns of Josiah and his son Jehoiakim. Jeremiah tells us in Jeremiah 35:4, that Maaseiah has his own chamber inside Fathers Templewhether this chamber was his personal living quarters, an office, or both, Fathers Word doesnt declare, and that he was the keeper of the door. His having his own chamber and being a keeper of the door, means that he was a Levite, a Priestwhich woud stand to reason as he had his own chamber in Fathers Templeand he was the Chief of Security of Fathers Temple and also of the High Priest. Maaseiah also had a son named Neriah, whose sonBaruchwas Jeremiahs scribe. Researching the etymology of the name Maaseiah, I discovered Abarim Publications does not list a description or an etymology of the name Maaseiah. From the Strongs Concordance, we find that the name Maaseiah is Hebrew word number: H4641, - מַעֲשֵׂיָה or מַעֲשֵׂיָהוּ, - ma‛ăśêyâh or ma‛ăśêyâhû, pronounced - mah-as-ay-yawי or mah-as-ay-yawי-hoo, and means: From H4639 and H3050; work of Yah; Maasejah, the name of sixteen Israelites: - Masseiah. Total KJV occurrences: 23.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary where we read: word of the Lord. The son of Shallum, a Levite of high rank in the reign of Jehoiakim. (Jeremiah 35:4) compare, I Chronicles 9:19..

Shallum=Shallum is the husband of Fathers Prophetess HuldahII Kings 22:14, and is the father of at least two sons: Maaseiahidentified in Jeremiah 35:4, as having his own chamber inside Fathers Temple and as being the keeper of the door, in other words, he was a Levite and the Chief of Securityand Hanameelthe nephew of Fathers Prophet Jeremiah, whom Father told Jeremiah would come to him in Jeremiah 32:7, and tell him Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee, saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it. . When we turn back and read Jeremiah 32:7-8, we find that Shallum is the uncle of Fathers Prophet Jeremiah. For the etymology of the name Shallum, we read the following in Abarim Publications, A son of Tikvah and husband of Huldah the prophetess, whom king Josiah of Judah consulted regarding the Book that was found in the temple of YHVH during restorations (II Kings 22:14, II Chronicles 34:22; both spelled שלם ). An uncle of the prophet Jeremiah, whose son Hanameel came to Jeremiah to inform him that he had successional rights to a plot of land in the environs of Anathoth (Jeremiah 32:7, spelled שלם). The father of Maaseiah, who was a doorkeeper of the temple of YHVH in the time of Jeremiah (Jeremiah 35:4, spelled שלם). Shallum is spelled and pronounced the same as the noun שלום (shillum), meaning recompense, and is spelled the same as but pronounced slightly different from the familiar word שלום (shalom), meaning peace. Both these words come from the verb שלם (shalem), meaning to be unbroken or whole: For a meaning of the name Shallum, New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List reads Recompense and Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names has Retribution. Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary doesnt interpret the name Shallum but does list it under the verb שלם (shalem).. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H7967, - שַׁלּוּם, or שַׁלֻּם, - shallûm, or shallûm, pronounced - shal-loomי, or shal-loomי, and means: The same as H7966; Shallum, the name of fourteen Israelites: - Shallum. Total KJV occurrences: 27.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: (retribution). A high priest I Chronicles 6:12,13, Ezra 7:2..

Jeremiah 35:5 And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them, drink ye wine.   —>   After bringing them into the deepest chambers, Fathers prophet Jeremiah had pots of wine and cups brought in so they could partake. Lets see if they do. But, before we do, do you think it matters? Remember, we are the branches of The True VineJohn 15:1-11which is to say Christ, His bloodwine during communiongives us our life.

35:6 Command of
   Jonadab to
   Rechabites.

Jeremiah 35:6 But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons for ever:   —>   Our father, and yes, I know it says Jonadab, but, think deep on this, their fatherlower case f, as in satan, just as in when we read in Fathers Word, Father is with an upper case Fsaid drink no wine forever, in other words, never let wine pass your lips, do not ever partake of Christs Life-giving Blood! Remember also, this is Our Father showing this to us for this very reason.

Jonadab=Sadly, just about every Biblical ReferenceAbarim Publications, The Greens Interlinear Bible, the Smiths Bible Dictionary, the Strongs Concordance of the Bible and E-Swordall confuse Jonadab with a manan ancestor of Jonadabs who lived approximately 270 before Jonadabnamed Jehondab. The confusion comes because of the Hebrew spelling of their names and because we find in the Book of Jeremiah, in Jeremiah 35, that the two spellings are used interchangeably within several Verses in that Chapter. But, as I pointed out, the two men lived approximately 270 years apart, so they cannot be one in the same. Lets check out the spelling of the two names beginning with this Jonadab, we find his name spelled יוֹנָדָב, while Jehonadab is spelled יְהוֹנָדָב. Jonadab, Hebrew word number H3122 is found in Verses Jeremiah 35:6,10, and 19, while Jonadab Hebrew word number 3082 is used Verses 35:8,14,16 and 18. For the etymology of the name Jonadab, we read the following in Abarim Publications, The name Jonadab consists of two parts, the first part being יה (Yah) = יהו (Yahu) = יו (Yu), which in turn are abbreviated forms of the Tetragrammaton; the name of the Lord: YHVH. The second part of the name Jonadab comes from the verb נדב (nadab), meaning to willingly give, to incite: For a meaning of the name Jonadab, New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List proposes Yahveh Is Bounteous. Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names reads The Lord Gave Spontaneously. And Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary suggests Yah Is Noble or Is Liberal or Hath Impelled.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: 3122, - יוֹנָדָב, - yônâdâb, pronounced - yo-naw-dawbי, and means: A form of H3082; Jonadab, the name of an Israelite and of a Rechabite: - Jonadab. Total KJV occurrences: 8.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: (whom YAH impels). (Jeremiah 35:6,8,10,14,16,18,19)..

35:7 Command of
   Jonadab to
   Rechabites.

Jeremiah 35:7 Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be strangers. —>   Is the picture starting to come into focus yet? Remember what Father told Cain when He drove him out of the Garden of Eden in Genesis 4?! Genesis 4:12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.   —>   So, we can see to the time of Jeremiah, they still dont\couldnt sow seed because, the earth wont yield her strength; or build houses, so that, Father allowed them to live hidden among His People. To this day they still live as such, most in Jerusalem today are such, non-Israelitesbut claiming to be of Judah and the world doesnt even know it. Cain and his offspringthese kenitesare not part of Adams genealogy of Genesis 5, and that is because Cain, though born of Eve, was NOT of Adam. He was the fruit of the labor of the sexual union between satantree of knowledge of good and evilin his role of deceiverserpentand Eve in the Garden of Eden. But our Father, YHVH, has a plan for these kenites, and this is why He is allowing all this. Remember the test on Fathers Word I said was coming and that, sadly, most will fail? How many people know and understand this? Yet, here is Father showing us all this. But if you dont read chapter-by-chapter youll never understand it. This is also part of the Key of David from Revelation 2:7-11 and 3:6-10 and why that is so very important. Lets turn there for a second: Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. [2:8] And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the First and the Last, Which was dead, and is alive; [2:9] I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. [2:10] Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. [2:11] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death., and now, Revelation 3:6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. [3:7] And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith He That is Holy, He That is True, He That hath the key of David, He That openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; [3:8] I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept My Word, and hast not denied My name. [3:9] Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. [3:10] Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. [3:11] Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. [3:12] Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of My God, and the name of the city of My God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from My God: and I will write upon him My new name.   —>   What did Smyrna and Philadelphia know? Those who claim to be Jews and are not, in other words, those who claim to be of Adams genealogy but are satans. Lets keep reading to see what else Father says about these kenites here.

35:8-11 Obedience
   of Rechabites.

Jeremiah 35:8 Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he hath charged us, to drink no wine in all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters;   —>   Our Father knew that wine in Jeremiahs future would come to symbolize the Blood of Christas did satanand his offspring Rechab told his offspring, to tell their offspring to not drink it as a statute forever, as hesatanwanted them to have nothing to do with salvation, or the partaking of Christs Life Giving Blood during communion. Are you a Christian and still refusing to partake of wine during communion?

Jeremiah 35:9 Nor to build houses for us to dwell in: neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed;

Jeremiah 35:10 But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us. —>   Yes, they have been very obedient to their father havent they?! WATCH, Watchmen, WATCH!

Jeremiah 35:11 But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem. —>   They dwell where?! Remember those who say they are Jews but do lie and are of the synagogue of satan? Again, this is our Father showing us this so we may learn.

Nebuchadrezzar= Nebuchadrezzar or Nebuchadnezzer was the king of Babylon who Father used to take the House of Judah into captivity because of their turning their back on Him in order to honor, serve and worship false gods and idols. Nebuchadrezzar, being the Babylonian king, was not a man of God, he served the false god called nebo, the god of knowledge and learning; but, Father got his attention and he became His Servant. Nebuchadrezzar ransacked Jerusalem and destroyed Fathers Temple, removing all the gold and other precious items when he did so. For the etymology of the name Nebuchadrezzar, we read the following in Abarim Publications, The name Nebuchadnezzar is foreign and shouldnt be expected to mean anything in Hebrew. But to a creative audience, it could be construed as a compound of three parts. The first part is the same as Nebo, the Babylonian god of wisdom and writing. In Hebrew this name Nebo looks like it has to do with the root נבא (nbי), having to do with prophesying: The second part of our name looks like the noun כד (kad), meaning jar: The third (imaginary) part of our name could come from the verb נצר (nasar), meaning to watch, guard, keep: The name Nebuchadnezzar is said to mean Nebo, Protect Your Servant, but its (edited) transliteration into Hebrew appears to convey a willful reverence to this man and what he inadvertently meant to the preservation and evolution of Jewish theology and Scriptures. In Hebrew the name Nebuchadnezzar means something like A Prophet Is A Preservative Jar.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H5019, - נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּר or נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר or נְבוּכַדְרֶא ַצּוֹר, - nebûkadne'tstsar , nebûkadre'tstsar or nebûkadre'tsôr, pronounced - neb-oo-kad-nets-tsar'י, neb-oo-kad-rets-tsarי, or neb-oo-kad-tsoreי, and means: Of foreign derivation; Nebukadnetstsar (or retstsar, or retstsor) , king of Babylon: - Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadrezzar. Total KJV occurrences: 60.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary: The description in the Smiths Bible Dictionary is too long to post here; so, Ill just post the link to it instead: Nebuchadrezzar.

35:12-16
   INCRIMINATION
   OF THE PEOPLE.
   (Repeated Alternations.)
35:12 Incrimination.

Jeremiah 35:12 Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

35:13 Incrimination.

Jeremiah 25:13 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to My words? saith the LORD. —>   You can hear the pleading of our Father with His Children here in this verse. What a sad thing for a Father to have to plead this hard with His Children to listen to Him when He is giving good instruction. Though this also is an example to us because, look at how many of His Children today dont listen to Him. So many of His Children deny Him, so many sit on the fence and say that they dont know if He is real, and even most Christians dont have time to listen to His Word Chapter-by-Chapter and Verse-by-Verse. So you tell me, what has changed?

35:14 Obedience of
   the Rechabites.
35:14 Incrimination.
35:14 Disobedience
   of the Nation.

Jeremiah 35:14 The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their fathers commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto Me.
—>   Fathers heart is breaking here. This is why He told Jeremiah to bring Jonadabs children here into His temple, to show Jeremiah, and us today, how well Jonadabsand satanschildren listen to him/them, but yet, the Creator of all things and People will not listen to Him.

35:15 Incrimination.
35:15 Disobedience
   of the Nation.

Jeremiah 35:15 I have sent also unto you all My servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your evil doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto Me.   —>   Father is pleading with His children. What a shame He has to do this!!

35:16 Incrimination.
35:16 Disobedience
   of the Nation.

Jeremiah 35:16 Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them; but this People hath not hearkened unto Me:   —>   Father is about to tell us what He thinks about Jonadabs children listening to their father, compared to Father YVHVS Children listening to Him. This is how it is in the world and the United States today. The non-Christian dont love Him, and even most Christians say they love Him but, it is with their lips and not their heartsmindthey wont take the time to study His Word to know and understand Him. Yeah, they read their bibles, but, sadly, they turn to man to try and understand His Word and not Him, they want the milk and not the meat.

35:17-19
   THREATENING OF
   THE NATION.
   (Alternation.)
35:17 Threatening
   to the Nation.
35:17 Cause.
   Disobedience to
   YHVH.

Jeremiah 35:17 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.  —>   The people of this country, and of all the rest of the world also, will also soon feel Fathers anger, jealously and wrath. Think about this for a minute, for how long during the First Earth Age did Fathers Children rebel and follow satan? We dont know. But, for over 4,000 years now, His Children have not been listening to Him. He sent the prophets, and what did they do? They killed them. He sent Himself, what did they do? They killed Him. He ensured His Word got out to us, even to us living to this time today, and what have we done? Listen to fairy tales and things that tickle our ears, things like mumbo jumbo language, fly away doctrines, His priests the catholic priests that is, molest children, and the church protects the those priests, oh yeah, its OK to be homosexual and be a homosexual pastor. Heck, were still teaching our children the false doctrine of easter, which is nothing but a fairy-tale and the celebration of the false god ishtar. Yeah, the world is ripe for feeling His wrath.

35:18 Blessing
   of the Rechabites.
35:18 Cause.
   Obedience to
   Jonadab.

Jeremiah 35:18 And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his percepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you:   —>   Here, Father is about to commend these kenites for keeping their fathers word and He will also make a pledge to them for their obedience.

35:19 Cause.
   Obedience to
   Jonadab.

Jeremiah 35:19 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before Me for ever.    —>   Father YHVH has just told these kenites that they will always have someone to hold their lineage together so that they will fulfill the negative part of Fathers plan. He will neither interrupt nor destroy them, and yet, if one changes from the ways of satan and returns his heart to Father, He will gladly accept them back. Father YHVH is also promising them that, because of their faithful obedience to their fathers commandments, they will always be successful in this age of the flesh. In other words, in a sense, He has Blessed them in their flesh bodies; but, that is all that they will have, prosperity in the flesh.
