I CHRONICLES CHAPTER 16

I Chronicles 15 closed with David, the Levites and the House of Israel bringing Fathers Ark up to Jerusalem. As they were doing so, there was very much commotion as, they were singing, shouting, and dancing because they were extremely pleased to Have Father and His Ark back in their midst. All this commotion Im sure was done in order to show Father how pleased they were to have His Ark back in their midst but, I think they also whooped it up this much to show all the nations around them that He was back with Israel.

We also read in the closing verse, I Chronicles 15:29, that And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.. Israels first man king, king Saul, who Father selected in order to show Israel how bad things would be under a man king, had come to despise Father. In doing so, his family followed suit, and as we read, especially his daughter Michal who was now showing her own displeasure at her husband David for his displaying his joy at having Father YHVH back in Israel.

This then brings us current, and we open this Chpater with the Ark of Father YHVH coming into Jerusalem and being set in Its place: in the tent that David had set up for IT.

With that introduction being said, lets go to Father and ask Him for His Blessings on our Study of His Word: Father, we come to you right now to thank you for inviting us to Your table in order that we might be able to partake of and receive Your Spiritual Meat, and Father, as we prepare to dine on the sustenance which sustains our inner man, we ask that You Oh LORD open our ears and eyes, that we might be able to hear and see your Truths, open our hearts and minds and prepare us in order that we may receive Your Truth. We Pray for Your Understanding of Your Word, we seek Your Knowledge in Your Word, and most importantly Father, we Pray for and desire Your Wisdom from Your Word, in Jesus Precious name we Pray, thank You Father, Amen.

I Chronicles 16:1 So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David (loving; or, well-beloved) (Daw-veedי) had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.   —>   Dr. Bullinger notes in his Companion Bible on page 552 concerning David bringing Fathers Ark to Jerusalem: This was 951-950B.C. A Sabbatic Year. So, with David being born in 990B.C., that means that he was 39-40 years old when he brought Fathers Ark into Jerusalem, and his son Solomon, Israels nextor third man kingis still 12-13 years away from being born as, he wasnt born until the year 938B.C., when David was 52 years old.

The tent=Some of you may be wondering why David had to erect a tent for Fathers Ark, especially considering that Moses had already fashioned the Mosiac Tabernacle. Well, had they set-up the Mosiac Tabernacle the full complete Mosiac Tabernacle, then there wouldve been difficulties finding a place large enough to build the Temple. Davids tent was only provisional. The provision will yet be repeated, before the erection of the future Temple. We can read of Davids tent being builded again in Acts 15:16, which reads: Acts 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: [15:17] That the residue of men might seek after the LORD, and all the Gentiles, upon whom My name is called, saith the LORD, Who doeth all these things..

Ark of God=Note the different titles used of Fathers Ark in His Word, especially in the Books of the Chronicles: Its The Ark fifteen times, The Ark of God twelve times, The Ark of the LORD four times, The Ark of the Covenant of the LORD eleven times, The Ark of the covenant of God once, The Ark of Thy strength once, The holy Ark once, and The Ark of our God once, for a total of forty-six uses. Now, lets compare the title here, with those of Exodus 25:22 which Dr. Bullinger declares the other seven titles: Ark of the Testimony, Ark of the covenant of YHVH, Ark of Adonai YHVH, Ark of YHVH, Ark of ELOHIM, The holy Ark, and The Ark of Thy strength.

God=As used in this verse, this is Elohimfrom Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendices: ELOHIMthe genus God, Father in His role of Creator of all things.

David=I could spend days discussing David and his life; literally, two entire BooksII Samuel and I Chroniclescovered most of what David accomplished as king of Israel. David was a man after Fathers own heart, and though he made a few mistakes, David always tried to please Father in all that he did; therefore, Father loved David; so much so that, He chose David as the Line to bring forth the Branch, The Bright Morning Star, Immanuel\Emmanuel, God in the Flesh: Jesus. Even though Father chose David, it doesnt mean that David never sinned as, David indeed did sin. He committed adultery with the wife of one of his soldiers; and, then had that soldier murdered by ordering his being put on the front lines of the hottest part of the battle. David was not perfect; however, he was obedient in the end; and, in the end, he left judgment in Fathers hand. All the other kings of Judah and some of the kings of Israel will be judged; or, compared to David; and, the one thing which can always be said of David, is that, not one time had David ever fallen away into idolatry. But, what else can we take away from David? If you sin: repent to Father and then leave the correction and judgment in Fathers hands. While researching the etymology of the name David we find that most Bible translators and commentator will render the name David as Beloved; but, as always with important names, the etymology of the name David is disputed. However, we cant help noticing the distinct similarity of this name with the Hebrew root דוד (dwd) that yields דוד (dod), generally meaning beloved. This word is also the Hebrew word for uncle I Chronicles 27:32, for instance, speaks of דוד־דויד, or Davids uncle: The distinct difference between the name דוד (David) and the word דוד (dod) is that in the name David the letter waw counts for a consonant, while in the word dod it counts for a vowel. A consonant and a vowel are completely different entities and theyll never mean the same, no matter how many times you write them with the same symbol (in this case the waw). If the name was meant to mean Beloved, then it was perhaps given to David after he became king and beloved. In his fathers household he wasnt much of a hit, after all. But then, if this name was meant to mean Beloved, why hasnt history given us the tales of King Dod? Harris Archer Waltke (HAW) Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament lists David under dod but admits that the name is conjectured to come from dod, beloved, but the etymology is uncertain. It has been compared with the Mari term dawidum, Lsquo;leader, but this too is unsure. Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary too lists the name David under the derivations of the root dod, but also makes mention of A.H. Sayces note of a sun-god named Dodo — דודה — which was worshipped in East-Jordan Israel. Zion, now known as the city of David, was then apparently known as the city of the god Dod. But where Dod went the way of the dodo, king David is eternally remembered as the beloved king. And this is curious for more than one reason. But whatever the reason, Israels identity of a Kingdom is associated with a king whose name is not a regular Hebrew word, but which is spelled identical to the word for Beloved, and pronounced completely different. Perhaps, and this is a wild guess, the name Dod was altered to David to charge it with the tone of the word דוה (dawa), meaning infirmity.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H1732, - דּוד, or דּויד, - dâvid, or dâvı̂yd, pronounced - daw-veed, or daw-veed and means: From the same as H1730; loving; David, the youngest son of Jesse: - David. Total KJV occurrences: 1076.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we find that the description of David in the Smiths Bible Dictionary is extensive and too long to post here; so, Ill instead just post the link to it: David.

16:2-43 The Blessing of
   YHVH (Introversion.)
16:2 The People blessed.

I Chronicles 16:2 And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.   —>   This isnt to say that David did the offering of the sacrifices as, he knew it was the Levitical Priestss responsibility to do that; this is just saying that as king, David was overseeing all these events.

LORD=As used in this verse, this is YHVHfrom Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendices: YHVHFather in His role of bring in Covenant relation with those whom He created.

And=Pay attention to all the and(s) in this and the following verses brethren. Those of you who Study with SCN and myself know that this is a polysyndeton, which is a fancy word that Dr. Bullinger uses to describe an occasion where a lot more is going on than what is being said in the verses.

16:3 The People blessed.

I Chronicles 16:3 And he dealt to every one of Israel (he will rule as YAH; or, the prince that prevails with YAH) (Yis-raw-aleי) (secondary map), both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.   —>   When David was a younth, he was a shepherd boy, as such, he was a type for the True Shepherd: Jesus Christ Who would literally come from Davids own loins. What is it here that David is giving the People, every man and woman? The Bread of Life, the Wine from the True Vine, and a piece of Flesh, which we too can receive by Studying\Partaking of the meat in Fathers Word.

Israel=The kingdom of Israel consists and comprises of both a People, and a territory. The People were and are our Father, our Creator ELOHIMs Chosen People. Chosen only in the sense that they were the lineage through which He Himself will\would be born in the flesh as His Only Begotten Son: Jesus Christ. That lineage began with Adam, then his son Seth, down to Noah, then his son Shem, down to Abram, then his son Isaac, and the his son Jacob whom Father renamed Israel, on to his two sons Leviactually, Levis son Amram amd his son Aaron and his descendantsand Judahand his son Pharez, then his son Hezron, then his son Aram, then his Amminadab, then his son Nashon, then his son Salmon, then his son Boaz, then his son Obed, then his son Jesse, then his son David. Both lineages culminated and terminated at Marycousin to Elisabeth, wife of Zachariaswhom the Holy Spirit overshadowed while she was yet a virgin, and after Michael the arch angel had told would come to pass. When Father had changed Jacobs name to Israel and then he had his twelve sonsReuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Napthali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjaminwho went into captivity to Egypt for those 200 plus years, when Father led them out by the hand of Moses, they became known collectively as, the House of Israel. As for the territory, see the links of the 2 maps in the verse to understand the land mass which comprised the territory of Israel. As to the etymology of the name Israel, the meaning of the name Israel is not clear; but, yet, its huge. The meaning of Israel is not singular and distinct; but, consists of many nuances and facets and bulges with theological significance. Judging from Genesis 32:28, the form ישראל (Israel) appears to be a compilation of two elements. The first one is the noun אל, El, the abbreviated form of אלהים, Elohim, denoting the genus God: The second part of our name appears to be related to the verb שרה I (sara I): However, even though Genesis 32:28 uses the enigmatic verb שרה which is assumed to mean to struggle but which might something else entirely its by no means certain that this verb is etymologically linked to our name Israel. When we say, we named him Bob because that seemed like a good idea, we certainly dont mean to say that the name Bob means good idea. The first part of the name Israel looks a lot like the verb שרה that explains this name; but, this apparent link is possibly a mere case of word-play. In fact, the name Israel may have more to do with the verb ישר (yashar), meaning to be upright. Note that the difference between the letter שׂ (sin) as found in the name ישׂראל (Israel) and the letter שׁ (shin) as found in the verb ישׁר (yashar) didnt exist in Biblical times and as it was invented more than a thousand years after the Bible was written: For a meaning of the name Israel, New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List, Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary and Alfred Jones (Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names) unanimously go with the verb שרה of which the meaning is unsure. Undeterred, NOBSE reads God Strives, and BDB proposes El Persisteth or El Persevereth. Alfred Jones figures that the mysterious verb שרה might very well mean to be princely, and assumes that the name Israel consists of a future form of this verb, which hence would mean to become princely. And so Jones interprets the name Israel with He Will Be Prince With God.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H3478, - ישׂראל, - Yiśrâ'êl, pronounced - Yis-raw-ale, and means: From H8280 and H410; he will rule as God; Jisrael, a symbolical name of Jacob; also (typically) of his posterity: - Israel. Total KJV occurrences: 2,576.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary: The description of Israel in the Smiths Bible Dictionary is extensive and too long to post here; so, Ill instead just post the link to it: Israel.

16:4-6 Ministrations.
   persons.

I Chronicles 16:4 And he appointed certain of the Levites (attached; or, joined) (lay-veeי) to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:   —>   To record=Obviously, our forefathers didnt have the technology that we enjoy today, and as such, they couldnt\didnt have the means as we do today to record things, but what this is saying is that the Leviteswho were the scribes and wrote down important things for the House of Israelwere to record or to bring to remembrance, the events of this day. How did they do so? Well, we get to read of them in the here in I Chronicles 16, II Samuel 6, and also in the Psalms, specifically, Psalms 38 and Psalms 70.

Levi (Levites)=Levi was Jacobs third eldest son, he too was born of Leah. Levi was confederate with his older brother Simeon in exacting revenge on the Hivites for Shechems raping their sister Dinah, and as such, during the Blessing by their father Jacob, Levi received the same as Simeon. Genesis 49:5 Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations. [49:6] O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall. [49:7 Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.. That being said; it was the descendants of Levinamely Gershon, Kohath, and Merari, then Kohaths grandchildren: Aaron, Miriam, Moses, and then Aarons sons and so forthwhom Father choose to bestow His Priesthood upon, Moses is included in this grouping as, he was Aaron and Miriams younger brother, and it was he whom Father choose to lead our forefathers up out of their bondage to the Egyptians. Yes, Levis descendants were indeed scattered throughout Israel; however, it was because they were the Priesthood and they became Fathers Inheritance: Numbers 18:20 And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel. [18:21 And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.   —>   There is no finer inheritance. During the Blessing of Moses in Deuteronomy 33 we read: Deuteronomy 33:8 And of Levi he said, Let Thy Thummim and thy Urim be with Thy holy one, Whom Thou didst prove at Massah, And with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah; [33:9] Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; Neither did he acknowledge his brethren, Nor knew his own children: For they have observed Thy word, And kept Thy covenant. [33:10] They shall teach Jacob Thy judgments, and Israel Thy law: they shall put incense before Thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon Thine altar. [33:11] Bless, LORD, his substance, And accept the work of his hands: Smite through the loins of them that rise against him, And of them that hate him, that they rise not again.    —>   Levis descendants would become the High Priest and Priest line; and, as such, the High Priest would bear the Urim and Thummim, the two stones which in the Hebrew language means lights, and perfection. Lights in the manner that brought all judgments of gilt to light, and perfection for moral perfection, and thus, innocence. The two stones were part of the Priests Breastplate and worn in a bag which was attached to the Breastplate. When any legal decision needed to be made, the Priest had to be present, especially concerning land or of the such. The Thummim stone would be cast down and the way the stone landed determined innocence or guilt. If a moral decision was to be made the Urim stone was cast, and the pointing determined it to be yes or no, guilt or innocence. The decisions were made on yes or no, right or wrong, andthough this is a bad analogy, itll still put it forthit was sort of like flipping a coin to see what the answer would be; however, the reality was that Father had complete control over the two stones for, it was at His command that the Levites used this method to receive their answer, or judgment. The Levitical Priests were also Fathers choice that shall teach all of the tribes the full Commandments, Judgments, Laws, Ordinances and Statutes of our Father. Now, as to the numbering of the Levites in the Book of Numbers, the Levites were left out of the numbering of the House of Israel, because Father numbered them separately in Numbers 3 where we read their numbers were: 22,300 males a month old and up; but, in Numbers 4, their numbers were 8,580 ages 30-50. Levis encampment as they came out of Egypt and wandered in the wilderness, was in the midst of the camp, surrounded by all the other Tribes. The sign on Levis Standard was Libra, or more anciently the Altar. There is some controversy about the etymology of the name Levi, the Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary suggests that the name Levi was derived from the word Levite, instead of vice versa, and that the word Levite has to do with a Minaean word for priest. Another suggestion is that the name Levi (לוי) is derived from the name Leah (לאה) and means Weary, rather than something else. Harris Archer Waltke (HAW) Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament disagrees with this kind of strong disclaimers and (as does New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List) derives the name Levi from the verb לוה (lawa) meaning join, be joined. This is the verb that Leah uses when she names Levi, Now this time my husband will be joined to me, because I have borne to him three sons (Genesis 29:34).. Now from the Strongs Concordance, we find it is Hebrew word number: H3878, - לוי, - lêvı̂y, pronounced - lay-veeי, and means: From H3867; attached; Levi, a son of Jacob: - Levi. See also H3879, H3881 Total KJV occurrences: 283.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: The name of the third son of Jacob by his wife Leah. The name, derived from lavah, to adhere, gave utterance to the hope of the mother that the affections of her husband, which had hitherto rested on the favored Rachel, would at last be drawn to her: This time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have borne him three sons Genesis 29:34. Levi, with his brother Simeon, avenged with a cruel slaughter the outrage of their sister Dinah [DINAH]. Levi, with his three sons, Gershon, Kohath and Merari, went down to Egypt with his father Jacob Genesis 47:11. When Jacobs death draws near, and the sons are gathered round him, Levi and Simeon hear the old crime brought up again to receive its sentence. They no less than Reuben, the incestuous firstborn, had forfeited the privileges of their birthright Genesis 49:5-7 [LEVITES]..

I Chronicles 16:5 Asaph (collector; or, collector of the people) (aw-sawfי) the chief, and next to him Zechariah (YAH has remembered; or, YAH remembers) (zek-ar-yawי-hoo), Jeiel (carried away of YAH; and treasured of YAH) (yeh-ee-aleי), and Shemiramoth (name of heights; and most high name) (shem-aw-ree-mothי), and Jehiel (YAH will live; and YAH lives) (yekh-av-aleי), and Mattithiah (gift of YAH; and gift of YAH) (mat-tith-yawי-hoo), and Eliab (YAH of (his) father; and YAH is my father) (el-ee-awbי), and Benaiah (YAH has built; or, made by YAH) (ben-aw-yahי-hoo), and Obed-edom (worker of Edom; or servant of Edom) (o-badeי ed-omeי): and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;   —>   Just as we saw when they were bringing Fathers Ark up from Obed-edoms house, were seeing David appointing the same men to continue being the musical procession leading the Nation in Praise and Worship of Father YHVH.

Verses v16:7-42 are written and recorded here in I Chronicles 16 however, you wont find them recorded in II Samuel 6.

If I didnt mention it previously, well notice that the spelling of some of these names is different from when we read them back in II Samuel 6. Why is that you might ask? A good guess would be that it was because of the scribes were already at work subtly making changes; or, because maybe they were spelled one way in Hebrew and anotherremember, the Books of the Chronicles were written after the captivity to the Babyloniansin Caldee, or it may be a combination of both. Some of the names mentioned in this verse Ill provide a detailed description, but others Ill only provide links to the Strongs Concordance, the Smiths Bible Dictionary, and the Etymologyif availablefor the names:

Asaph=A Gershonite Levite, the son of Berechiah. He was one of the leaders of Davids Choir during the bringing up of Fathers Ark out of the house of Obed-edom after Father had struck Uzzah dead for reaching out his hand to steady It as It was possibly about to tumble off the ox-drawn cart It was being transported on as read in II Samuel 5 and I Chronicles 13. Other things we know of Asaph from Fathers Word inc lude the following: (1) David called him a seer in II Chronicles 29:30; and (2) he was known for being both, a musical composer and as being the author of twelve cannonized Psalms, Psalms 50, and 73 through 80. The etymology of the name Asaph is a direct derivative of the verb אסף (asap), meaning to gather or collect: For a meaning of the name Asaph, both New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List and Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names read Collector. Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary has Gatherer.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, we find it is Hebrew number: H623, - אסף, - ssיAsâph, pronounced - Aw-sawfי, and means: From H622; collector, Asaph, the name of three Israelites, and of the family of the first: - Asaph. Total KJV occurrences: 46.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: (collector of the people) A Levite, son of Berechiah, one of the leaders of Davids choir I Chronicles 6:39. Psalm 50,73-83 are attributed to him; and he was in after times celebrated as a seer as well as a musical composer II Chronicles 29:30; Nehemiah 12:46..

Benaiah=A Levite, one of Davids musicans who he appointed to play with the psalteries as the set Fathers Ark in Its place when they brought It to Jerusalem I Chronicles 16:6. The etymology of the name Benaiah consists of two elements, the final one being יה (Yah) = יהו (Yahu) = יו (Yu), which in turn are abbreviated forms of the Tetragrammaton יהוה, YHVH, or Yahveh, the sacred name of our Father. The first part of the name Benaiah comes from the verb בנה (bana), which is the Hebrew common and ubiquitous verb meaning to build: It should be remembered that the punctuations in the Hebrew text were added to the original during a time when Judaism was competing with Christianity, and every reference to a son of God may be expected to have been obscured. The name Benaiah may mean Son Of God, but New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List proposes YHVH Has Built. Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names reads Built Up Of The Lord, and Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary offers Yah Hath Built Up.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H1141, - בְּנָיָה or בְּנָיָהוּ, - benâyâh or benâyâhû, pronounced - ben-aw-yawי or ben-aw-yawי-hoo, and means: From H1129 and H3050; YAH has built; Benajah; the name of twelve Israelites. Total KJV occurrences: 42.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: A Levite in the time of David, who played with a psaltry on Alamoth. I Chronicles 15:18,20 and 16:5..

Obed-Edom=Obed-Edom was a Levite with whom David place Fathers Ark after Father had struck Uzzah dead for stretching forth his hand in order to try and steady Fathers Ark when our forefathers were incorrectly transporting It. David, unsure what Father wanted him to do, left Fathers Ark at Obed-Edoms house for 3 months. Father Blessed Obed-Edom for safeguarding His Ark, and when it was told to David that Father had indeed Blessed Obed-Edom, David gathered his crew and retrned to Obed-Edoms house to retrieve Fathers Ark and bring It into Jerusalem. There are 15 verses with 20 matches for the name Obed-Edom and its associated Strongs Hebrew word number: H5654 in Fathers Word, 5 verses and 8 matches are for the man whose house Fathers Ark sat at until David returned to retrieve It, the other verses and matches are for other men named Obed-Edom. The etymology of the name Obed-Edom obviously consists of two separate elements: The first part of the name Obed-edom comes from the root עבד (abad), meaning servant or to serve: The second part of the name Obed-edom comes from the root אדםx(יdm), meaning either mankind or ruddy, or refers to Edom. The name Obed-edom entirely translated becomes Servant Of The Red One, but for a meaning of the name Obed-edom, New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List reads Servant Of Edom, and Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names reads Serving Edom.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H5654, - עֹבֵד אֱדוֹם, - ‛ôbêd 'ĕdôm, pronounced - O-badeי Ed-omeי, and means: From the active particle of H5647 and H123; worker of Edom; Obed-Edom, the name of five Israelites: - Obed-edom. Total KJV occurrences: 20.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: A Levite, described as a Gittite in II Samuel 6:10-11; I Chronicles 13:12-13; and 15:25 that is, probably, a native of the Levitical city of Gath-rimmon in Manasseh, which was assigned to the Kohathites Joshua 21:25. After the death of Uzzah, the ark, which was being conducted from the house of Abinadab in Gibeah to the city of David, was carried aside into the house of Obed-edom, where it continued three months. It was brought thence by David..

Zechariah=: Zechariah, Zechariah. Jeiel=: Jeiel, no etymology available. Shemiramoth=: Shemiramoth, Shemiramoth. Jehiel=: Jehiel, Jehiel. Mattithiah=: Mattithiah, Mattithiah. Eliab=: Eliab, Eliab.

I Chronicles 16:6 Benaiah also and Jahaziel (beheld of YAH; and whom YAH watches over) (yakh-az-ee-aleי) the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.   —>>   This is not saying that these two men were blowing their trumpets every day, 24 hours a day. It saying that they blew their silver trumpets at their appointed timeduring the morning and evening sacrificesevery day as prescribed.

Jahaziel=: Jahaziel, Jahaziel.

16:7 Delivery of Psalm to
   leaders.

I Chronicles 16:7 Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.   —>   This psalm=David gave the words which would later become Psalms 105:1-15 to Asaph, in order that Asaph and the Levites lead the Nation of the House of Israel in Praise and Worship of Father, as delineated in verse v16:4 above.

Remember brethren, Psalms were basically songs which could be either plainly spoken or sang. Some peopleeven some Biblical scholarsfind it hard to accept and or believe that David could write the words to this or any of the other Psalms but, there is no doubt in my mind that David did indeed write these and others as well as, if youll recall, David was actually an accomplished musician himself. Remember, we read back in I Samuel 16 that, after Fathers Spirit departed from Saul, he bacame Sauls soother so to speak by playing on the harp every time that Fathers Spirit would trouble Saul.

16:8-36 THE PSALM OF
   PRAISE. (Repeated Alternation.)
16:8-22 The Peoples.

I Chronicles 16:8 Give thanks unto the
     LORD,
   Call upon His name,
Make known His deeds among the
people.   —>   Every day, we, His Childrenand we ARE ALL His Children, whether we accept and or like it or notshould be Praising and Thanking Father for ALL He Provides us. He created this earth we live on, the air we breath, the food we eat, EVERYTHING! He meets our each and every need for Basic living, all other Blessings are for those who Choose to Love, Honor, Serve and Worship Him. How about you brethren, are you receiving His Blessings? If youre not, I suggest you check self and maybe change\turn your life around to start receiving His Blessings that He desires to reward you with.

I Chronicles 16:9 Sing unto Him,

works.   —>   Again, every day we should be Praising Father for ALL He had provided us with, not just to Him, not just to our fellow brethern but, to ALL of Fathers Children, whether they desire to hear it or not, and whether they like it or not.

Talk=Check out this word in your Strongs Concordance brfethren as, youll discover that it is not meaning to speak with you mouth or any other form of communication with another person but, to meditate. We find that it is Hebrew word number: H7878, - שִׂיחַ, - śı̂yach, pronounced - seeי-akh, and means: A primitive root. to ponder; that is, (by implication) converse (with oneself, and hence aloud) or (transitively) utter: - commune, complain, declare, meditate, muse, pray, speak, talk (with). Total KJV occurrences: 20.. And, we should meditate on Fathers Word and Pray to Him and commune with Him. He absolutely Loves that when we do that with Him, as does any father and his children. And by the way, as He IS our True FatherHe created each and every one of usthat then makes Him our closest relative. As this is a Psalm I think it appropriate to say that we find in the Psalms, the word Selah which means that we should stop and pause in order to ponder what has just been said, and see how it connects to and relates to what is about to be said. Its also important brethren, that, after we Study Fathers Word, or listen to an evangelist that until we Study again, we meditate on what we had just learned. Father gives us a beautiful analogy on this by using His Creation: the cow. A cow has four stomachs, and the digestive system of a cow undergoes a special digestive process to break down the tough and course it eats. When the cow first eats, it chews the food just enough to swallow it. The unchewed food travels to the first two stomachs, the rumen and the reticulum, where it is stored until later, when it then chews it for a second time, which is where we get the phrase chewing the cud from. And that is what Father wants us to do with His Word, regurgitate it and chew it over in our minds several times, meditate and commune with Him to gain His understanding of His Word.

I Chronicles 16:10 Glory ye in His
     holy name:
Let the heart of them rejoice that seek
the LORD.   —>   That seek the LORD=This is the key to all rejoicing, joy, happiness and contentment brethren. How and why? Because, as we read in His Word in the New Testament, in Matthew 7:7 and Luke 11:9, if we seek, we shall find, if we ask, it will be given, if we knock, it will be opened unto us. Father will give us the bricks however, it is up to us to do the building, He wont build it, i.e., do the work for us.

I Chronicles 16:11 Seek the LORD and
     His strength,
Seek His face continually.   —>   Do you want wisdom brethren? Again, here is the key. Israels third man king, king Solomon, Davids son, was only 19 years old when he began his reign over the Nation of the House of Israel; he was fearful that he might fail. Father appeared to him in a dream one night and asked him his hearts desire. Solomon didnt ask for riches, wealth or a long life; no, he asked Father for a heart of understanding, in other words, he asked Father for wisdom; he was obedient to his own father, David who had told himin I Chronicles 28:9that if he sought Father, Father would reveal Himself to him however, if he forsake Father then, Father would cast him off forever. Solomon sought Father and His Wisdom, and Father Blessed Solomon with more understanding and wisdom than any other man who walked the flesh except our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

His strength=The word strength here is actually, in a sense, used in place of Fathers Ark, what I mean to say is that, the presence of Fathers Ark was a symbol of His actual presence, and His strength.

I Chronicles 16:12 Remember His
     marvellous works that He hath
     done,
His wonders, and the judgments of
His mouth;   —>   David is reminding the People to think back through their Nations history and remember all the good Works that Father had done for them up to this point, that they should be grateful and give Father Thanks, thanks also for His Righteous Judgments as, He is Always fair in His Judging of us.

I Chronicles 16:13 O ye seed of Israel
     His servant,
Ye children of Jacob (heel catcher [that
     is supplanter]; or, supplanter)
     (yah-ak-obeי),
His chosen ones.   —>   Though this Psalm was originally written for this event of bringing Fathers Ark to Jerusalem and setting It in Its place. Itthe Psalmwas later divided up and incorporated into Psalm 105, I note this in my Structure above. We read in Psalm 105:6 that they changed a name in from verse, which originally read, Israel, to Abraham when they were applying it for a more general worship of Father.

The other item noteworthy in this verse is of course the two names Israel and Jacob, which of course is in reference to the same man as, Father changed Jacobs name from Jacob to Israel when Jacob refused to quit when he wrestled with Father of which we can read about in Genesis 32.

Chosen ones=Some people get upset and dislike that fact that Father has His chosen ones however, no one should be upset or angry that He does as, His chosen ones are such, only in that it was a specific lineage which He Himself would come through to be born in the flesh as His Only Begotten Son: Jesus Christ Emmanuel God with us. Being a chosen one has no other signification, it doesnt mean He favors them over any of His other childrena trait attributed to flesh man not Fatherit doesnt theyre better than any other of His Children, if you think about it, its actually a little more difficult for them as, they have to be more upright, and tow the line a little more closely because they are such. Also, for someone to say that Father doesnt have His chosen one only shows that someone is ignorant of Fathers Word as, we can read in several places in His Word where either He stated He chose Israel or Moses stated He chose Israel as His People, check out Deuteronomy 4:37 and Deuteronomy 10:15 to name but two places. Ill provide you a link below for you to be able to do a search for yourself on the words chose and\or chosen, its to a site called E-Sword. I use it extensively every time I Study Fathers Word, E-Sword is a downloadable Bible Program which contains the King James Version Bible with the Strongs Concordance built right into it. It is quick and user-friendly, you just roll your mouse over the Strongs number and itll give a pop-up window with the Hebrew word (Old Testament) or Greek word (New Testament). You can also use it to quickly search out a verse by using its search tool: E-Sword.

Jacob=For my description of the name Jacob, read my description of the name Israel as, they are one-in-the-same. Father YHVH changed Jacobs name to Israel as we read in Genesis 32. The etymology of the name Jacob comes from the common Hebrew noun עקב (aqeb) meaning heel or rear: The name Jacob may be simply facsimilative and inconsequential; he was named after how he was holding on to Esaus heal. But in Genesis 25:23 we read that God foretold the twins fate: the older shall serve the younger. Young Jacob certainly must have displayed more behaviors, but the holding on to Esaus heel must have reminded his parents of the prophecy, and named the boy accordingly. Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary and New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List both read Supplanter. BDB adds Heel, Overreach, One Closely Following. Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names reads He Will Supplant, A Heeler, One Who Trips Up or Takes Hold By The Heel. Besides in Genesis 27:36, he word יעקב occurs twice as regular word in the text: in Job 37:4 its used in the sense of he holds back [thunderings] and in Jeremiah 9:4 as meaning deal craftily New American Standard(NAS) Bible or will supplant (KJV).. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H3290יַעֲקֹב, - Ya‛ăqôb, pronounced - Yah-ak-obeי, and means: From H6117; heel catcher (that is, supplanter); Jaakob, the Israelitish patriarch: - Jacob. Total KJV occurrences: 349.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: The second son of Isaac and Rebekah. He was born with Esau, probably at the well of Lahai-roi. His history is related in the latter half of the Book of Genesis. He bought the birthright from his brother Esau, and afterward acquired the blessing intended for Esau, by practicing a well-known deceit on Isaac. (Jacob did not obtain the blessing because of his deceit, but in spite of it. That which was promised he would have received in some good way; but Jacob and his mother, distrusting Gods promise, sought the promised blessing in a wrong way, and received with it trouble and sorrow. --ED.) Jacob, in his 78th year, was sent from the family home to avoid his brother, and to seek a wife among his kindred in Padan-aram. As he passed through Bethel, God appeared to him. After the lapse of twenty-one years he returned from Padan-aram with two wives, two concubines, eleven sons and a daughter, and large property. He escaped from the angry pursuit of Laban, from a meeting with Esau, and from the vengeance of the Canaanites provoked by the murder of Shechem; and in each of these three emergencies he was aided and strengthened by the interposition of God, and in sign of the grace won by a night of wrestling with God his name was changed at Jabbok into Israel. Deborah and Rachel died before he reached Hebron; Joseph, the favorite son of Jacob, was sold into Egypt eleven years before the death of Isaac; and Jacob had probably exceeded his 130th year when he went tither. He was presented to Pharaoh, and dwelt for seventeen years in Rameses and Goshen, and died in his 147th year. His body was embalmed, carried with great care and pomp into the land of Canaan, and deposited with his fathers, and his wife Leah, in the cave of Machpelah. The example of Jacob is quoted by the first and the last of the minor prophets. Besides the frequent mention of his name in conjunction with the names of the other two patriarchs, there are distinct references to the events in the life of Jacob in four books of the New Testament - John 1:51; 44:5,12; Acts 7:12,16; Romans 9:11-13; Hebrews 11:21; 12:16..

I Chronicles 16:14 He is the LORD our
     God;
His judgments are in all the earth.
—>   Father is in charge of all things, not just His People He is even in charge of His Earth and all the environmental conditions on and about the Earth which He Created. He tells us as much when He spoke and asked Job in The Book of Job, specifically in Job 38: Job 38:1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, [38:2] Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?   —>   Father knew who Job was as, He created him, so His question to Job is rhetorical as, all counsel without Fathers wisdom is not sound and only serves to bring one into darkness. [38:3] Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou Me.   —>   When Father appeared to Job, Job immediately fell upon his facebowed himself to the ground because of Fathers great gloryand Father immediately told Job to stand on his feet, gather his skirt between his legsas if preparing for running or going into battleand give answer to Father. [38:4] Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.   —>   It was FatherELOHIMfrom Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendices: ELOHIMthe genus God, Father in His role of Creator of All thingsWho created the sun, the moon, and each of the stars and planets which He set in our solar system, which He set in the galaxy, which He set in the universe. When Father had created the heavens and the earth; He had not yet created us in our spiritual body; so, Job really could not declare to Father the understanding of how Father set the boundaries of His created universe. Though, many years later, Solomon did provide the answer in The Book of Proverbs: Proverbs 8:22 The LORD Possessed Me in the beginning of His Way, before His works of old.   —>
These works of old are the things that transpired after Father created the heaven and the earth, and we can get a glimpse of these things in Revelation 12. Revelation 12 is a unique chapter because, it spans a very long length of time the first earth age, this age, and the one to come; well cover this in more depth a little later, but for now lets continue on with Proverbs. [8:23] I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.   —>    Solomon is telling us that Father ELOHIM possessed His Wisdom even before He created the earth. From the very beginning, He possessed His Wisdom. [8:24] When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.   —>   Before there was an abyss or even the need of the abyssthat is what the word depths from this verse meansor even the waters to fill this abyss, Fathers Wisdom was. This abyss is the same pit in which satan will be cast at the beginning of Jesus 1,000 year Millennial Reign (Revelation 20:3). [8:25] Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills was I brought forth:   —>   Father possessed His Wisdom even before He created the mountains and formed the hills of this earth. [8:26] While as yet He had not made the earth, nor the fields, Nor the highest part of the dust of the world.   —>   Again, He hadnt even created the earth when He possessed His Wisdom. [8:27] When He prepared the heavens, I was there: When he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
—>   As Father created the heavens and told the stars and moon and sun where their places were in the heavens; His Wisdom was right there with Him. [8:28] When He established the clouds above: When He strengthened the fountains of the deep: [8:29] When He gave to the sea His decree, That the waters should not pass His commandment: When He appointed the foundations of the earth:   —>   When He created the earth, He also created the land, the mountains, the hills, the fields, and the lakes and oceans. He told the waters of the lakes how far up the banks they could go and the waters of the oceans just how far up the shoreline they could proceed. How did He do this? By creating gravity and using those gravitational forces to control the things of this earth. Lets return now to Job 38: [38:5] Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? —>
Job knew Who had set the measures, just not the how, of how He did it. [38:6] Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner stone thereof;   —>   Father did all this when He created everything in His universe which we inhabit. [38:7] When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?   —>
After He created all things including us in our spiritual bodies, we were all happy living with Father and it was that way for many, many millions, if not billions of years. We all walked and talked with Father and sang for joy while we were in His presence; that was, untilas we read in Ezekiel 28that satan decided he wanted to replace Father with himself and be god. When he fellas can be read in Revelation 12:1-4he drew one third of Fathers children with him in his fall. [38:8] Or who shut up the sea with doors when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?   —>   Again, it was Father Who told the seas waves how far up the shoreline they may proceed before they have to return back to the sea. He answers His own question to Job in the next two verses: [38:9] When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it, [38:10] And brake up for it My decreed place, and set bars and doors, [38:11] And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?   —>   Father stretched out that measuring line and told them this is how far you may go. [38:12] Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;   —>
Nope, no man has done this, only Father could and Did. Lets return now to I Chronicles 16:

I Chronicles 16:15 Be ye mindful
     always of His covenant;
The word which He commanded to a
thousand generations;   —>   Be ye mindful=Again, this Psalm was written by David specifically for this occasion and event of the celebration after bringing Fathers Ark to Jerusalem and having Him and His presence back among them. When he wrote Psalms 105 he purposely changed verse v105:8 Be ye mindful always of..., to read He hath remembered..., and made it for a more general purpose.

His covenant...a thousand generations=What is one of Fathers Names\Roles\Titles? YHVHfrom Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendices: YHVHincorrectly spelled Jehovah by Dr. Bullingerthe genus God, i.e., Father in His role of Covenant Maker and Keeper. That\this Covenant, which already has many years on it, is still in effect to this very day in the year 2018. For those of you out there who dont know or are unsure what a covenant is, you can think of it as a contract, confederacy, league or promise between two or more people;and here Father has guaranteed a Promise to His Children; IF they\we meet the conditions to receive His Promise(s). How about you brethren, (1) do you know what Fathers promises are, and (2) do you meet the conditions to receive His Promises? You cannot claim them if you (1) dont know them and (2) dont meet the conditions. He specifically tells us this in Exodus 19:5 which reads: Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:.

I Chronicles 16:16 Even of the
     covenant which He made
     with Abraham,
And of his oath unto Isaac;   —>   Do you know this covenant which Father made with Abraham brethren? It began back in Genesis 12 even before Father changed Abrams name to Abraham, before He even told Abram to leave the country he was in at the time, the land of Haran; it was in effectin Genesis 14when MelchezedekJesus before He was even born in the fleshvisited Abram afterhe secured the release of his nephew Lot from Shinab king admah, Shemeber king of Zeboilm and the king of Bela, which was Zoar who had fled after getting their butts whooped in the vale of Siddim when they tried to fight against Chedorlaomer; it was in effectin Genesis 15when He restated\reissued\ reiterated it to Abram and then He changed Abrams name to Abraham; it was in effect and reaffirmed in Genesis 17 when Father said it would be an everlasting covenant with Abraham and his seed after him, and again, as I stated in the verse above, it is still in effect to this very day in 2018.

I Chronicles 16:16 And hath
confirmed the same to Jacob for
     a law,
And to Israel for an everlasting
covenant,   —>   Father reconfirmed His covenant with Abrahams grandson Jacob when he was older and was at the time in Padan-aram. He also told Jacob again, that his name was no longer Jacob but, Israel. Lets read it for ourselves: Genesis 35:10 And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and He called his name Israel. [35:11]  And God said unto him, I am GOD ALMIGHTY: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins; [35:12] And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land. [35:13] And God went up from him in the place where He talked with him.   —>   GOD ALMIGHTY=Father in His Name\Role\Title of El Shaddaifrom Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendices: El ShaddaiFather in His Role of being All Bountiful or All Sufficient; it is Father, not as the source of strength, but of grace.

I Chronicles 16:18 Saying, Unto thee
will I give the land of Canaan,
The lot of your inheritance;   —>
Here was the Promise of the Promised Land, the land of Canaan. Yes, our forefathers went into captivity in the land of Egypt for those four hundred years but, He brought them out exactly when He said He would, and then led them to the Promised Land, it was only because of our forefatherss rebellion and stubbornness that they didnt enter into the Promised Land sooner.

Do you recall what Paul told us concerning the things written in the Old Testament brethren? We can read it in I Corinthians 10: I Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.   —>
We too will get to move into the Promised Land brethren. The land of Canaan was only a type for the True Promised Land: Heaven.

I Chronicles 16:19 When ye were but
     few,
Even a few, and strangers in it.   —>
Father made His Covenant and Promise when our forefathers were still very small in number; first to Abraham and not any of his relatives, then He kept it through Abrahams son Isaac, then He reaffirmed it with Jacob and then to his sons after him. Until Jesus birth, death and resurrection; no other people came under this Covenant UNLESS they joined unto Israel and put away their false gods.

Today, the Promise is available to all IF they accept and meet the conditions. What are the conditions? First, Jesus tells us in John 3: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [3:17] For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. [3:18] He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.; secondly, Jesus further tells us in John 14: John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.   —>   These are the conditions which must be met if you desire to have eternal everlasting life with Father ELOHIM.

Strangers in it=Here David is saying that our forefathers were strangers in a foreign land, the land of Egypt to whom they were held in captivity and bondage for those 400 hundred years.

I Chronicles 16:20 And when they
     went from nation to nation,
And from one kingdom to another
people;   —>   It was Father Who moved and led Abraham around until He brought him into the land of Canaan, and there He gave him that Promise that that land would be his and his offsprings forever.

I Chronicles 16:21 He suffered no man
     to do them wrong:
Yea, he reproved kings for their
sakes,   —>   Father had reproved kingsSeveral of them even before our forefathers had become a mighty Nation known collectively as The House of Israelfor our forefathers. He first reproved the king, or pharaoh of Egypt for Abraham, Genesis 12:11-20, then again He reproved Abimelech king of Garar, Genesis 20:1-18, and one of the more famous reproves or rebukes of all, was that of Pharaoh just prior to the exodus as read in Exodus 1:1-14:31. That reproving and rebuking consisted of 12 plaques and then the drowning of pharaoh and his entire army.

Father in the future is going to reprove another king, one known as the king of Tyreone of satans names\roles\titleswhen His Elect are delivered up to him to fulfill their roll of allowing Father to speak through their mouths as outlined and delineated Luke 12:8-12 and Mark 13:9-11.

I Chronicles 16:22 Saying, Touch not
      mine anointed,
And do my prophets no harm.   —>
What or how does Father think of His anointed? They are so special to Him that He considers them to be the apple of His eye as we read in Deuteronomy 32:9-10. We also find that He considers and calls them His peculiar People and a treasure, Exodus 19:5-6 but, in order to be so they must meet His condtions.

16:23-27 The earth.
   (Psalms 96:1-13)

I Chronicles 16:23 Sing unto the LORD,
     all the earth;
Shew forth from day to day His
salvation.   —>   Every person is and was created by Father, and as such, we all should every day be singing the praises of our Father, thanking Him for creating us and offering Himself up on that cross that we might have salvation to be able to live with Him for all eternity. What do the heathen have? False gods which they have to fashion. A great example of this is found in Exodus 32. Lets turn there and read what happened and was said: Exodus 32:1 And when the People saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the People gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him. [32:2] And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. 32:3] And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron. 32:4] And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.   —>   Moses was up on Mount Sinai receiving the Ten Commandments from Father and some of our foolish forefathers had gotten tired of waiting for his return from talking with Father; what did they do? They told Aaron to fashion them a god that they could worship. Aaron told them to remove all the gold which they had received at the hands of the Egyptians and give it to him. Sadly, they were only too happy to give up their gold so that they could have a golden calf to worship. Brethren, it was bad enough that they wanted to serve and worship this man-made golden calf but, they also claimed that it was also what led them out of Egypt what an absolute, out and out, bold faced lie, and they knew it was a lie. They knew it was Father Who brought and led them out of Egypt, they knewas they had watched Aaron fashion that golden calfthat calf could not do a darned thing but sit there and sort of look pretty. That calf was no more alive than the Philistiness false god dagon of I Samuel 5, and baal which Ahab and Jebezel we causing our forefathers to worship in I Kings 18, both of which were also superb examples in Fathers Word. Talk about a sense of humor, Father truly does have a Great sense of humor as evidenced in those stories!

I Chronicles 16:24 Declare his glory
     among the heathen;
   His marvellous works among all
nations.   —>   The words heathen and nations are almost sort of backwards in this verse as, heathen as used here, means a foreign nation, and hence, the gentiles whereas; nations as used here, means a congregated group of people, such as the House of Israel as an example.

With that being said, as Chrstians, we should be doing exactly as David tells us in this verse; i.e., declaring Fathers goodness and greatness to those non-believers we come across and sharing all the miracles He has performed throughout all the years and all His wonderful works in all His Creating and creation. I know they dont necessarily want to hear it, and I dont mean to say that we should stand on a street corner somewhere and sound foolish as we can read of some of those who evangelize. What I do mean to say is that there are occasions when something happens and presents us the opportunity, it is then that we should share what we know of Father, His Truths, and what wonderful things He has accomplished throughout all time.

I Chronicles 16:25 For great is the
LORD, and greatly to be praised:
He also is to be feared above all
gods.   —>   Our Father is great, there is no other force or being in all His Creation which can stand up to Him. I remember a joke which was going around several years ago which went along the lines of a scientist telling Father that he cold create any and everything which Father created, all he needed was some dirt and he could do it. Father told the scientist to go ahead, and the scientist said OK, give me some dirt, to which Father replied, create your own. Of course, the scientist was stumped and could not do so.

But, staying along the lines of our Father being the greatest being Creator of All things; I cannot understand how satan during the first earth Age, when we were all with Father in heaven, we could see Him and talk with Him everyday, how did he convince so many to join him and rebel against Father, and he believes and thinks he can overthrow and beat Father and win this controversy, Foolish! Ive read the back of the Book, Father Wins.

Feared=What a sad concept that (1) our KJV Translators translated this word this wayIll give you the Strongs breakdown and definition in a momentand (2) that so many preachers keep their congregants in fear of Father by their preaching hellfire and brimstone sermons. Lets now check out this word which was translated fear for ourselves, when we do, we find that it is Hebrew word number: H3372, - יָרֵא, - yârê', pronounced - yaw-rayי, and means: A primitive root. To fear; morally to revere, causatively to frighten: - affright, be (make) afraid, dread (-ful), (put in) fear (-ful, -fully, -ing). (be had in) reverence (-end), X see, terrible (act, -ness, thing). Total KJV occurrences: 334.. So, we can see why they did translate it fear, but, Father is to be Loved and Revered, not feared as in the hellfire and brimstone type of fear that the preachers put their burden upon us. What did Solomon teach us concerning fear in Proverbs 1:7? Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: But fools despise wisdom and instruction..

He also is to be feared above all gods=There is only one True God, only one Who is to be Worshiped, only one Who is The Living God in contrast to inanimate objects and idols, His name is ELOAHfrom Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendices: ELOAH Whom I named my Site after.

I Chronicles 16:26 For all the gods of
     the people are idols:
But the LORD made the heavens.   —>
People may not call them god(s) but, that is exactly what something is and\or becomes when you place it in your heart before our Father. What do I mean? Lets take for instance, a new car, boat, hobby, or any other such activity or thing that you do in place of Studying Fathers Word or having a relationship with Him, any of those activities or things then become a god to you. Again, you may not look at it that way, or you may not call it a god but, that is how Father considers it.

People=The word people as used here in this verse, is the same Hebrew word as nations used in verse v16:24 above , and we also find that it was translated as nations in Psalms 96:5.

Idols=When we check this word out in our Strongs Concordance, we find that it is Hebrew word number: H457, - אֱלִיל, - 'ĕlı̂yl, pronounced - el-eelי, and means: Apparently from H408; good for nothing; by analogy vain or vanity; specifically an idol: - idol, no value, thing of nought. Total KJV occurrences: 19.. So, we see that our false gods and idols really are nothing, and definitely nothing for us to be worshiping.

But the LORD made the heavens=When Father created usboth in the Frst Earth Age, and when He created us in these flesh bodiesHe created us with free will therefore, He gave us the option of Honoring, Loving, Serving and Worshiping Him, or serving idols, nothingness. He also gave us His instructions of what would happen if we chose to serve that nothingness.

I Chronicles 16:27 Glory and honour
     are in His presence;
Strength and gladness are in His
place.   —>   In His place=What place was this? It was His dwelling-place, His Ark of the Covenant which David and the House of Israel had just brought up to Jerusalem and set in Its place amongst them. In Psalms 96, where it is more general in nature, it reads, in His sanctuary. Also in Psalms 96, the Psalms reads: Psalms 96:6 Honour and majesty are before him: Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary..

16:28 The Peoples.
   (Psalms 96:1-13)

I Chronicles 16:28 Give unto the
LORD, ye kindreds of the people,
Give unto the LORD glory and
strength.   —>   Read this and the next few verses closely brethren, they are very beautiful.

Here, we see David encouraging all Israeland even the heathen who were living among them and the nations all around themto pay and or attribute to Father the proper due respect and homage He so justly and rightfully deserves.

Give=Today, we no longer sacrifice animals, so our offering is our Love for Father; and in offering Him our Love, we should be offering our most deep, passionate and profound Love that we can muster. What is one of the ways we can show Him how much we revere and Love Him? By following what He tells us in Hosea 6:6: Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy (love), and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.   —>   He wants us to have the knowledge of Him. How do we gain that knowledge? By deeply Studying His Word; not just passively reading it, not by listening to a preacher preach a verse here and a verse there and then rambling on with customs and traditions of man but, by Studying It Verse–by–Verse, Chapter–by–Chapter, and Book–by–Book and by utilizing the tools I have recommended on\in my Study Tools and Resources page.

16:29 The Peoples.
   (Psalms 96:1-13)

I Chronicles 16:29 Give unto the
LORD the glory due unto his name:
Bring an offering, and come before
     him:
Worship the LORD in the beauty of
holiness.   —>   Offering=The offering David is suggesting offering up to Father in this verse is the gift offering, which in the was the Minchah Offering: H4503, - מִנְחָה, - minchâh, pronounced - min-khawי, and means: From an unused root meaning to apportion; that is, bestow; a donation; euphemistically tribute; specifically a sacrificial offering (usually bloodless and voluntary): - gift, oblation, (meat) offering, present, sacrifice. Total KJV occurrences: 211.. From Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendices: The Meal offering = a present, as such. Hence a gift-offering, not necessarily to secure admittance, but to secure favor. It might be sacrifice by blood, or more generally and later, without blood. It is used of the offerings of Cain and Abel Genesis 4:3,4,5, of Jacobs present to Esau Genesis 32:13-21, etc. In Exodus and Leviticus, it acquires a special limitation, and is the only word rendered meat, or better (with Revised Version), meal-offering (though it has a wider signification than literal meal)..

Come before Him=In Psalms 96:8, this reads, come into His courts but, there are some Codices which read, enter before Him.

The beauty of holiness=Compre how this reads here with what is written in II Chronicles 20:21 and Psalms 96:9, from which the meaning seems to be, in His glorious sanctuary which was now under the tent that David had had erected on Mount Zion.

16:28 The earth.
   (Psalms 96:1-13)

I Chronicles 16:30 Fear before him, all
     the earth:
The world also shall be stable,
That it be not moved.   —>   Fear=
Here, the Hebrew word is not yaw-rayי like we saw in verse v16:25 above, no, here we find that David is truly telling the People to tremble with fear as, here it is Hebrew word number: H2342, - חוּל or חִיל, - chûl or chı̂yl, pronounced – khool or kheel, and means: A primitive root. Properly to twist or whirl (in a circular or spiral manner), that is, (specifically) to dance, to writhe in pain (especially of parturition) or fear; figuratively to wait, to pervert: - bear, (make to) bring forth, (make to) calve, dance, drive away, fall grievously (with pain), fear, form, great, grieve, (be) grievous, hope, look, make, be in pain, be much (sore) pained, rest, shake, shapen, (be) sorrow (-ful), stay, tarry, travail (with pain), tremble, trust, wait carefully (patiently), be wounded. Total KJV occurrences: 58..

That it be not moved=David is speaking the Words of FatherELOHIM Creator of All thingshere, and Who knows how to better speak of the work of His own hands then Father Himself?

I Chronicles 16:31 Let the heavens be
     glad,
   And let the earth rejoice:
And let men say among the nations,
The LORD reigneth.   —>   This verse is very similar to Psalms 96:11which reads: Psalms 96:11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.which is an acrostical Psalm in that, within the Psalm we can find the abbreviated forms of the Tetragrammaton יהוה, YHVHfrom Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible Appendices: YHVHor Yahveh, the sacred and personal name of Father.

Dr. Bullinger details and explains how we derive at the acrostic on Page 815 of his Companion Bible. I understand and comprehend what he is saying however, with that being said, what I dont grasp, are the four Hebrew words that He has spelled outYismehu Hashshamayim Vethagel Ha'arezas, when I look up the words of the PsalmLet the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;... in the Strongs Concordance this is what I find: Heavens - H8064 - יְשָׁמֶהוּ    השָׁמַיִם - shaw-mah'-yim, shaw-meh', Rejoice - H8055 - שָׂמַח - śâmach, Earth - H776 - האֶרֶץ - 'erets, Glad - H1523 - גִּיל - gı̂yl.

I Chronicles 16:32 Let the sea roar,
     and the fulness thereof:
Let the fields rejoice, and all that is
therein.   —>   Here, we see David telling us that even Fathers Creation, i.e., nature itself, rejoices that He created it and and it rejoices that He is in control.

I Chronicles 16:33 Then shall the trees
of the wood sing out at the presence
     of the LORD,
Because he cometh to judge the
earth.   —>   How about you brethren, are you doing as the trees and rejoicing at (1) Father being our Judge, and (2) His Return to do so? I cant say concerning you but, Im extremely happy and pleased that Father is our Judge as, judging by current events of 2018 and watching some of our liberal activist judges, they pervert and nullify our laws and angers and saddens me.

Trees of the woods=Check out this play on words brethren. Remember, this entire Psalm by David is about Fathers Ark and David and the House of Israel bringing it from Kirjath-jearim to Jerusalem. The play on words concerns the name Kirjath-jearim, why? Because what did we learn the name Kirjath-jearim means when we read I Chronicles 13:5? It means: city of the forrests, or city of the woods.

16:34-36 The People.
   (Psalms 106:47,48)

I Chronicles 16:34 O give thanks unto
     the LORD;
For He is good; for His mercy
endureth for ever.   —>   His mercy endureth for ever=Fathers love does endure forever, for all eternity however, with that being said, let me also say several other things; (1) Fathers loveunlike many who wear the cloth falsely tell you, is not unconditionalHe does have conditions which we must meet in order to continue to receive His love, and (2) again, unlike many who wear the cloth tell you, Father also hates. He hated Esau, Malachi 1:3 and Romans 9:13; He hates the things which are an abomination to Him; and we can read in The Book of Proverbs the six things He hates: Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: Yea, seven are an abomination unto Him: [6:17] A proud look, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, [6:18] An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, Feet that be swift in running to mischief, [6:19] A false witness that speaketh lies, And he that soweth discord among brethren..

I Chronicles 16:35 And say ye, Save
us, O God of our salvation,
   And gather us together,
And deliver us from the heathen,
That we may give thanks to Thy holy
     Name,
And glory in Thy praise.   —>   This verse is unique to this Psalm brethren, it was not used in the later general use Psalm, Psalm 106:47. What David is doing here is giving liturgical instructions to the Levites and the Priests specifically for this occasion of bringing Fathers Ark to Jerusalem and setting It in Its place that David had prepared for It.

Gather us...deliver us=Here, David is reminding the Peopleand Father too as He told us to do in Isaiah 43:26 which reads: Isaiah 43:26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.of the scattering which Father told Israel He would bring upon them if they did not live up to the conditions He presented them as delineated in Deuteronomy 4:27Deuteronomy 4:26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed. [4:27] And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you. [4:28] And there ye shall serve gods, the work of mens hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.28:64Deuteronomy 28:63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it. [28:64] And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. [28:65] And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: [28:66] And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:and 32. Israelthe ten Northern Tribes which had made up the House of Israel after Father split the Nation into two separate Housesis scattered to this day in 2018, and sadly, most dont know who they are or that they are indeed scattered but, those ten Tribes when they had been taken into captivity by the Assrians, had later fled from the Assyrians up over the Caucasus Mountains and ended up forming Europe. Here is a link to an excellent study of the subject if you desire to study on this: The Lost Sheep Of Israel.

Holy=from Dr. Bullingers Companion Bible, page 76, where we read: This is ever the cry and noblest praise of all of Fathers saints and can be compared with Exodus 15:11: Exodus 15:11 Who is like unto Thee, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like Thee, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?. Holy means separated or set apart for Father. It is always rendered of the Hebrew word Kodesh from the Strongs Concordance where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H6944, - קֹדֶשׁ, - qôdesh, pronounced - koי-desh, and means: From H6942; a sacred place or thing; rarely abstractly sanctity: - consecrated (thing), dedicated (thing), hallowed (thing), holiness, (X most) holy (X day, portion, thing), saint, sanctuary. Total KJV occurrences: 470., except in Psalms 42:4 where is it rendered Hagag H2287, - חָגַג, - châgag, pronounced - khaw-gagי, and means: A primitive root; compare H2283; H2328; properly to move in a circle, that is, (specifically) to march in a sacred procession, to observe a festival; by implication to be giddy: - celebrate, dance, (keep, hold) a (solemn) feast (holiday), reel to and fro. Total KJV occurrences: 16. = holy day, and Deuteronomy 33:8, Psalms 16:2, 86:2, 89:19, 145:17 where it is rendered Hasid H2623, - חָסִיד, - châsı̂yd, pronounced - khaw-seedי, and means: From H2616; properly kind; that is, (religiously) pious (a saint): - godly (man), good, holy (one), merciful, saint, [un-] godly. total KJV occurrences: 32. = favor or grace. Kodesh must have one identical meaning (as above) in all passages; and does not imply moral quality except when used of God Himself. It can also be rendered consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, and sanctuary..

I Chronicles 16:36 Blessed be the
LORD God of Israel for ever and
     ever.

And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD.   —>   The People of Israel were pleased and joyous to have Father and His Ark back among them, and they showed Him as much by joining David in the Psalm.

This then, ended the second Psalm of thanksgiving by David.

I Chronicles 16:37 So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph (collector; or, collector of the people) (aw-sawfי) and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every days work required:   —>
Before the ark=Of course, as were reading here, Fathers Ark is now in Jerusalem however, the Tabernacle, the Altars and the vessels which went into the Tabernacle were still in Gibeon as we read in II Chronicles 1:3-6.

Asaph and his brethren=pay close attention here and with the next couple of verses brethren as, Asaph and his brethren are in Jerusalem ministering before Fathers Ark however, well find out in a minute that Zadok, the Priest, is in Gibeon ministering before Fathers Tabernacle. He will continue to do so until Divine Worship can be properly conducted in the Temple.

Every days word required=In other words, as Fathers law prescribed; to perform the morning and evening sacrifices, the feast days and such. David was being extremely careful the religion of Israel, i.e. the worship of Father YHVH because, he was very aware that in doing so, the Nation would be Blessed. Look at our Nation, the United States, how when our forefathers established it, they gave proper homage to Father and set forth in our Laws to do so however, today in 2018, there are many in this Nation who have turned their backs on Father and want our Nation do forsake and do away with Him. Thankfully, the People during the 2016 Election of our President, elected President Donald Trump and he and our Attorney General, and shortly the Supreme Court will be fighting for our Right to Worship Father and put Him back in His Rightful Place Over This Nation.

I Chronicles 16:38 And Obededom (worker of Edom; and servant of Edom) (o-bade ed-ome) with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obededom also the son of Jeduthun (laudatory; and, praising) (yed-oo-thoonי) and Hosah (hopeful; or, refuge) (kho-sawי) to be porters:   —>   It makes sense that David would include Obed-edom in this as, it was Obed-edom with whom David had left Fathers Ark when Father had struck Uzzah dead for reaching forth his hand to try and steady it when David and the caravan were trying to bring It to Jerusalem the first time. If youll recall, Obed-edom and his house had been Blessed by Father for taking proper care of It. Now, he and 68 of his brethren, and Jeduthuns son Obed-edom, and Hosah would be security for It there in Jerusalem.

Obed-Edom=Obed-Edom was a Levite with whom David placed Fathers Ark after Father had struck Uzzah dead for stretching forth his hand in order to try and steady Fathers Ark when our forefathers were incorrectly transporting It.

Jeduthun=Also known as Ethan. A Merarite Levite, son of Kishiwhich was short for Kushaiah, think of Dick for Richard or Bill for William. He was one of the three directorsor chief Musiciansof the Temple worship I Chronicles 16:41, 42; 25:1-6; II Chronicles 5:12; 35:15. EthanJeduthunwas one of the Levitical singers in Davids Choir during the bringing up of Fathers Ark out of the house of Obed-edom after Father had struck Uzzah dead for reaching out his hand to steady It as It was possibly about to tumble off the ox-drawn cart It was being transported on as read in II Samuel 5 and I Chronicles 13, though Ethans role was as a cymbal sounder. In II Chronicles 35:15 Ethan\Jeduthan is called the kings seer; and in I Chronicles 25:1 it was the duty of Ethan\Jeduthan, Asaph and Heman to prophesy, then we read in II Chronicles 25:3 they were to to give thanks, and to praise Father YHVH. This was according to the kings order according to II Chronicles 25:6. There are three Psalms connected with Ethan\Jeduthun: Psalms 38, 61 and 76, and they will be found to fulfill the conditions. By comparing these Psalms as set out in The Companion Bible, the confusion, caused by two of these Psalms appearing to have the names of two different authors, vanishes. The sub-scription of each Psalm now stands To the chief MusicianJeduthun\Ethan. The etymology of the name Jeduthun appears to be derived from an otherwise unused noun ידות (yeduth), meaning praise which in turn comes from the verb ידה (yada) meaning to confess, praise or give thanks: Our name ends with the familiar waw-nun couple that personifies or localizes the idea of the root; Jeduthun means Man Of Praise or Praiser. For a meaning of the name Jeduthun, New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List reads Praising. Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names has Praising or Celebrating. Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary does not interpret this name but does list it under the verb ידה (yada).. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H3038, - יְדוּתוּן, ְדֻתוּן or יְדִיתוּן, - yedûthûn, yedûthûn or yedı̂ythûn, pronounced - (1,2) yed-oo-thoonיss, (3) yed-ee-thoonי, and means: Probably from H3034; laudatory; Jeduthun, an Israelite: - Jeduthun. Total KJV occurrences: 17.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: (praising). A Levite of the family of Merari, is probably the same as Ethan, compare: I Chronicles 15:17,19 with 16:42,42; 25:1,3,6; II Chronicles 35:15. His office was generally to preside over the music of the temple service, Jeduthuns name stands at the head of the 39th, 62nd and 77th Psalms, indicating probably that they were to be sung by his choir..

Hosah=We relly no nothing of Hosah except to say that; he was one of the porters or security guards for FatherArk after David and the House of Israel brought It to Jerusalem and placed It in Its place in the tent that David had had made for It after It had sat at Obed-edoms house after the first time that David had unsuccessfully tried to bring It up, that was when they had incorrectly placed It on a cart and when one of the carts wheels had jarred the cart when it had rolled over a dip in the road, Uzzah had stretched forth his hand in an attempt to steady It, and Father had immediately struck him dead to trying to tuch Fathers Ark; the only other thing we know of Hosah is that he had four sons and nine brethren who were all porters or security who ministered in Fathers House. The etymology of the name Hosah comes from the verb חסה (hasa), meaning to seek or take refuge: For a meaning of the name Hosah, New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List reads Seeking Refuge. Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names overshoots it a bit and calls it A Place Of Refuge. Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary proposes simply Refuge, which is ultimately the most correct rendering.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H2621, - חֹסָה, - chôsâh, pronounced - kho-sawי, and means: From H2620; hopeful; Chosah, an Israelite: - Hosah. Total KJV occurrences: 5. Now from the Eastons Bible Dictionary, where we read: (Refuge). A Levite of the family of Merari 1 Chronicles 16:38..

I Chronicles 16:39 And Zadok (just; and, just) (tsaw-dokeי) the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon (hilly; or, hill city) (ghib-ohnי),   —>   Again, I remind you brethren that at this time there are two priests: Abiathar and Zadok. So, Abiathar will stay there in Jerusalem with Fathers Ark while, Zadok will go back to Gibeon and remain with Fathers Tabernacle, the original Mosaic Tabernacle which will remain in Gibeon until the seventh year of Solomons reign as king over the House of Israelthats when hell have completed building Fathers stone Temple.

Tabernacle=Lets talk about and discuss Fathers Tabernacle for a moment. Like as Father has different Names, Roles and Titles, so does His Tabernacle. As used here in this verse, we find that is in the Strongs Concordance, Hebrew word number: H4908, - מִשְׁכָּן, - mishkân, pronounced - mish-kawnי, and means: From H7931; a residence; (including a shepherds hut, the lair of animals, figuratively the grave; also the Temple); specifically the Tabernacle (properly its wooden walls): - dwelleth, dwelling (place), habitation, tabernacle, tent. Total KJV occurrences: 139.. So, we see that as used in this verse it was the mishkân, meaning the Fabric Tent which was also Fathers dwelling place. Dr. Bullinger has an appendixAp 40where he discusses how the Holy Spirit has different words to describe Fathers Tabernacle and Im going to bring it in here: It is important to distinguish the different words used by the Holy Spirit to describe the Tabernacle, and to express His design. They are variously translated in the Authorized Version. They are distinguished severally in the notes; and are here brought together, so that the different shades of meaning may be compared and understood. It is called: (1) The House (Beth); (2) The Tabernacle (Mishkan) = dwelling-place, from shakan, to dwell: or, habitation, indicating it as containing the presence of YHVH in the Light, called Shechinah, compare Exodus 25:8. (3) The Tent (יOhel). Erected as a special place of worship before the Tabernacle was set up. Hence to be always distinguished from the Tabernacle proper. Its full title was: (4) יOhel Mohיed = Tent of assembly, or of the congregation. (5) The Tabernacle of witness, יOhel ha-eduth. = The Tent as containing the tables of the Law, which were an abiding witness to their covenant with YHVH. (See Exodus 16:32-34; 25:21). (6) Sanctuary. Hebrew kodesh, or holy place. In this connection it is well to notice that congregation is יedah, which is general; while assembly is kahal, which is more local and partial..

Zadok=Ahitubs son Zadok was the tenth descendant in the Priest line from Aaron, and he was great, great, great, great, great-grandfather to another High Priest named Zadok. There are 46 verses with 49 matches for the name Zadok and its associated Strongs Hebrew word number: H6659 in Fathers Word. Zadok was one of two Priests during the reign of king David, the other being Abiathar who was the son of Ahimelech, son of Ahitub, son of Phinehas, son of Eli, the High Priest who raised and guided the Judge Samuel. Zadok was part of the band of mighty menhelpers of war, as it is written in I Chronicles 12:1who joined onto David as he was in Ziklag, keeping himself close to Saul; but, far enough away to stay safe. Zadok remained true to David during Absaloms rebellion and for his loyalty, he rewarded with retaining his high and holy office till his death. Zadok was the founder of an important part of the Priesthood, and from Solomons time his descendants constituted the most prominent family among the order of priests. The etymology of the name Zadok comes from the verb צדק ( sadeq), meaning to be just: For a meaning of the name Zadok, New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List reads Righteous. Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names has Just. And Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary says Just, righteous.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H6659, - צָדוֹק, - tsâdôq, pronounced - tsaw-dokeי, and means: From H6663; just; Tsadok, the name of eight or nine Israelites: - Zadok. Total KJV occurrences: 53.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: Son of Ahitub, and one of the two chief priests in the time of David and Solomon, Abiathar being the other. Zadok was of the house of Eleazar the son of Aaron I Chronicles 24:3, and eleventh in descent from Aaron I Chronicles 12:28. He joined David at Hebron after Sauls death I Chronicles 12:28, and thenceforth his fidelity to David was inviolable. When Absalom revolted and David fled from Jerusalem, Zadok and all the Levites bearing the ark accompanied him. When Absalom was dead, Zadok and Abiathar were the persons who persuaded the elders of Judah to invite David to return II Samuel 19:11. When Adonijah, in Davids old age, set up for king, and had persuaded Joab, and Abiathar the priest, to join his party, Zadok was unmoved, and was employed by David to anoint Solomon to be king in his room I Kings 1:34. For this fidelity he was rewarded by Solomon who thrust out Abiathar from being priest unto the Lord, and put in Zadok the priest in his room I Kings 2:27,35. From this time, however, we hear little of him. Zadok and Abiathar were of nearly equal dignity II Samuel 15:35-36; 19:11. The duties of the office were divided, Zadok ministered before the tabernacle at Gibeon I Chronicles 16:39, Abiathar had the care of the ark at Jerusalem..

Gibeon=At the mention of the city\town\name Gibeon, the hair on the back should immediately rise. Why? Because there is much, much history between our forefathers and the Gibeonites. The first mention of the city\town\name is found in Joshua 9, where we read that the Gibeonitesalso known as the Hiviteshad deceitfully come to Joshua and our forefathers claiming they came to them from far away, so far away, that: their clothes were falling off their backs; their shoes were worn-out; and their food was moldy etc.. The reality was that, they were from the city next to where Joshua and our forefathers were. Why did they claim so? Because as we read in Joshua 9, (1) they didnt want to be killed by our forefathers and (2) they falsely claimed they wanted to Honor, Love, Serve, and Worship Father YHVH. We read in the very next Chapter, Joshua 10, the adverse effects of Joshua and the elders covenant which they made with the Gibeonites: they now had to fight with them against those who Father had told our forefathers to utterly destroy. Wait you say, they were doing what Father wanted them to do, utterly destroy the Amorites and such, oh yeah, I concur but, they were fighting on the side of the Gibeonites who they were also supposed to utterly destroy; and why was it that they were fighting with them? Because the Amorites were angry with the Gibeonites for making a compact with our forefathers and saving themselves; plus, with the Gibeonites joining unto Israel, that left the Canaanites with a major fighting force being gone and thus they woudnt be able to defeat the Israelitesnot that they would have been able to anyway as, with Father one your side, you have the victory. Later in time, Gibeon was given to the Tribe of Benjamin as part of their inheritance, and then even later still it was given to the Levites. As we read in II Samuel 2, it was at the pool of Gibeon that the armies of Saul and David met and under the guidance of Abner and Joab, Commanding Generals of their respective armies, met and played the mock war which ended badly as, the twenty-four men who me on the simulated battlefield each grabbed each other by the beard and stabbed each other thru with their swords leaving all twenty-four men dead. It was also in Gibeon that Father appeared to Solomon in a dream and asked him what it was that his heart desired. There are several more accounts of things which happened with our forefathers at Gibeon but, Ill move on to the etymology now. The etymology of the name Gibeon comes from the root גבע and is probably related to the noun גבעה (gibeah), meaning hill: The ון (waw nun) upon which our name ends is a common way to quantify the core idea of a root into a unit that acts out the verb. The name Gibeon literally means Hill Town New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List or High Hill Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names. Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary does not offer an interpretation of the name Gibeon but does list it under the root גבע.. Now from the Strongs Concordance where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H1391, - גִּבְעוֹן, - gib‛ôn, pronounced - ghib-ohnי, and means: From the same as H1387; hilly; Gibon, a place in Palestine: - Gibeon. Total KJV occurrences: 37.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary where we read: (hill city), one of the four, cities of the Hivites, the inhabitants of which made a league with Joshua Joshua 9:3-15, and thus escaped the fate of Jericho and Ai. Compare Joshua 11:19. Gibeon lay within the territory of Benjamin, Joshua 18:25, and with its suburbs was allotted to the priests Joshua 21:17, of whom it became afterwards a principal station. It retains its ancient name almost intact, el-Jib. Its distance from Jerusalem by the main road is about 6 1/2 miles; but there is a more direct road reducing it to five miles..

I Chronicles 16:40 To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which He commanded Israel;   —>   And again, they are all making sure to follow Fathers Law very specifically as, they wanted Fathers Blessings upon them and the Nation.

Continually=This is not to say that they never stopped offering Offerings but, that they did so every morning and evening as prescribed by Father in His Law.

I Chronicles 16:41 And with them Heman (faithful; and, faithful) (hay-mawnי) and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever;   —>   Heman and Jeduthun were assigned to Zadok to minister at Fathers Tabernacle in Gibeon, while Asaph was assigned to Abiathar to minister at Fathers Ark in Jerusalem.

When we come to I Chronicles 25 and a couple of Chapters after that, well be reading a more descriptive detailing of the service these men were to perform. There, well read of the twenty-four Courses of the Priests.

Heman=Heman was the son of Joel and grandson of Samuel. He was known for his being one of the musicianshe was called a singer in I Chronicles 6:33; I Chronicles 15:19; II Chronicles 5:12; and II Chronicles 35:15during the return of Fathers Ark from the house of Obed-edom to JerusalemIsraels Capital City and Fathers most favorite place in all His Created Universeduring Davids bringing It to Its rightful place among our forefathers. He is identified as being a seer in the words of God in I Chronicles 25:5, where Fathers Word also mentions that he had fourteen sons and three unnamed daughters. The etymology of the name Heman appears to derive of the Chaldean adjective מהימן, which comes from a verb that is a close cognate of the Hebrew verb אמןss(יaman), meaning to support or confirm: For a meaning of the name Heman, the usually discordant New Open Bible Study Edition (NOBSE) Study Bible Name List, Jones Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names and Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary all read Faithful. The word הימן occurs once in the narrative of the Bible, namely in Daniel 6:23, with the meaning of He Trusted.. Now from the Strongs Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H1968, - הֵימָן, - hêymân, pronounced - hay-mawnי, and means: Probably from H530; faithful; Heman, the name of at least two Israelites: - Heman. Total KJV occurrences: 17.. Now from the Smiths Bible Dictionary, where we read: (faithful) Son of Joel and grandson of Samuel the prophet, a Kohathite. He is called the singer, rather the musician I Chronicles 6:33, and was the first of the three Levites to whom was committed the vocal and instrumental music of the temple service in the reign of David I Chronicles 15:16-22. The 88th Psalm is ascribed to him..

I Chronicles 16:42 And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.   —>   As Directors of the Choir, it was Heman and Jeduthuns responsibility to lead and set the rhythm for the musicians.

Musical instruments of God=For thoes of you who say that we shouldnt be making a joyful noise in Fathers House, here we see that Father to enjoys music, tasteful music which brings Praise to Him.

The sons of Jeduthun were porters=This Jeduthun is a different man from the Jeduthen in verse v16:41 above. This Jeduthun was a Kohathite Levite like Aaron and Moses whereas, the Jeduthun from verse v16:41 was a Merarite Levite.

I Chronicles 16:43 And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.   —>
David returned to Bless his house=This was when he was met by and had that confrontation with his wife Michal that we read about in the last verse of I Chronicles 15, where she said that he was making a fool of himself.
