|* John 3
is an interesting Chapter in Father's Word. It provides us with a wonderful and important teaching by Jesus, that sadly most Christians today mistranslate and take completely out of context. On the other hand, John 3 also contains the mostly highly quoted and recognized verse in all Father's Word, because it is this Verse – John 3:16 – that provides for our Salvation – John 3:16For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life..
But, let's return to the beginning of the Chapter, where we find Jesus having a colloquy – a formal conversation, and yes, I had to look that up, with Nicodemus – a pharisee.
John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: -> First off, let's identify who the pharisees were, they, unlike the sadducees, believed in the resurrection – they believed in live after this flesh life.
Nicodemus himself, as we can read in this verse is a pharisee, of course the pharisees wanted along with the chief priest, the elders, the scribes and the sadducees, to kill Jesus because of the miracles He performed and because He was drawing the people away from their teachings and doctrines – you see, the thought Him to be false.
Nicodemus was also a member of the Sanhedrin – "The Great Synagogue of at first 120 members but later reduced to 70." This Great Synagogue consisted of (1) the chiefs of the priests; (2) the chief Levites; (3) the chiefs of the people; (4) the representatives of the cities; and (5) the doctors of the law.
Nicodemus, though a member of the sanhedrin, knew better, and he came to Jesus, as we'll learn, during the night time to talk with Jesus. Why during the night time? Because as a member of the Sanhedrin, people would then question if what the Sanhedrin was teaching was correct, and the Sanhedrin themselves would have been angry with Nicodemus.
John 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, "Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him." -> Nicodemus, like his fellow sadducees and sanhedrin had witnessed some of the miracles that Jesus had performed, and knew that no man could do the things that Jesus was doing, so he came to learn from Jesus.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." -> Jesus immediately goes into doctrinal and Salvation teaching with Nicodemus. What is the first thing Jesus tells him? "Man must be born again." Most will say this does NOT mean a physical birth but a "spiritual rebirth," BUT, let's look at this word "again." In the manuscripts, in the Greek, in the Strong's Concordance it is Greek word number G509 - anōthen, pronounced - an'-o-then, and means: From G507; from above; by analogy from the first; by implication anew: - from above, again, from the beginning (very first), the top. To come to the true meaning of this, we must first allow Jesus to continue His teaching of Nicodemus.
It was Father's plan from the beginning – John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. -> With that being said, you must grasp that the Word was written at the beginning of time itself when Father Created. And as such, it was His Plan from the Beginning that the angles would become flesh man and likewise He also would become flesh. Why Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; -> He knew when He Created, that one (satan) would fall and draw one third of his children with him and in order to Prove to us His great love for us, He too would become flesh and go to the cross for us and die in the flesh for us. You see He too was "born from above."
We can read of documentation for this in the Book of Jude whereby the penalty of the fallen angels is given, in as much as they left their place of habitation. Angels are to inhabit heaven; or paradise at this time, in the flesh age. Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. -> Angels were never to be upon the earth in this Flesh Age, they rebelled against Father, leaving their habitation and coming to try and interrupt the seedline through which He would become Flesh. Satan and they thought that if they could corrupt that seedline, then Father could\wouldn't be born and therefore satan could\would win the controversy and he, satan, would then be god.
So the angels that rebelled with satan came to this Age as can be read in Genesis 6:1-4. Genesis 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, -> The plan by Father was for the "sons of God," - His children to be born in the Flesh and to do so, He made them both male and female. In my opinion the Female being the more beautiful of the two and also the stronger of the two – they bare the children.
The races from Genesis 1 are populating the earth as were Adam's Genesis 2, and Seth's, and also Cain's and genealogies. Genesis 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives all of which the chose. -> To understand who these "sons of God" are, let's go to Job 1:6 Now there came a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. -> These sons of God are the angels, the same ones with whom Father is speaking with in Genesis 1:26, when He says - "let us make man in our image." We again can read of these angels, here from this verse in Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. -> This is also why Enoch, as we read in Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. -> Enoch was teaching of these fallen angels and what they were doing.
What were they doing? It states it pretty clearly in this verse - "they saw the daughters of man, that they were fair, and they took them wives..." Now you may wonder how this can be, but, in reality it is quite easy to understand when you apply common sense. We look like the angels because we were once these "sons of God" in the age that was. These were awaiting their opportunity to be born in the flesh (stated as "again" by Jesus as we read here in John 3:3) and without the knowledge of the great sin of the falling away by satan and all those that followed him in that age, but they chose not to be born of woman and instead, followed after satan and came to this earth age (think dimensions) in order to try and interrupt the seedline through which Father Himself would be born in the flesh through the Adamic seedline.
Also, we know that as the Israelites wandered the wilderness for those thirty 38 years, unable to enter into the Promised Land because of their unbelief, while they were in the wilderness they ate "manna" - angels food. If angels have food, that means that they must have bodies to be able to receive food. We also know that when the angels came to visit Abraham on their way to Sodom and Gomorrah, they partook of human food.
So this mating between the angels and flesh women should really be of no surprise to anyone.
Something else to consider, Jesus warned us in Matthew 24 and Luke 17 that the angels will be coming back just prior to His return, and Paul also warned us in I Corinthians 11:10 that a woman ought (should) to have power on her head, of course that "power" is Jesus. Why? "because of the angels." Genesis 6:3 And the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years." -> "for that he also is flesh" - here Father has just shortened man's, both the sixth day created "ish - the races" and the eighth day formed "The man - eth-ha-adham" time in the flesh from one thousand years to one hundred and twenty years.
In Genesis 3:22, Father had taken away the Tree of Life - Jesus, thereby requiring man to come to Christ in order to have salvation, thereby also requiring Himself to be born in the flesh. But again, this should be of no surprise as the Word was written from the beginning and it was Father's Plan all along. Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days: and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. - "giants" in the Hebrew, in the Strong's Concordance, is Hebrew word number H5303 - nephîyl, nephil, pronounced nef-eel', nef-eel' and means: From H5307; properly, a feller, that is, a bully or tyrant: - giant., so now let’s look at H5307: H5307 - nâphal, pronounced naw-fal' and means: A primitive root; to fall, in a great variety of applications (intransitively or causatively, literally or figuratively): - be accepted, cast (down, self, [lots], out), cease, die, divide (by lot), (let) fail, (cause to, let, make, ready to) fall (away, down, -en, -ing), fell (-ing), fugitive, have [inheritamce], inferior, be judged [by mistake for H6419], lay (along), (cause to) lie down, light (down), be (X hast) lost, lying, overthrow, overwhelm, perish, present (-ed, -ing), (make to) rot, slay, smite out, X surely, throw down. -> These giants - angel and flesh woman hybrid offspring are the "mighty men" and in the Hebrew are H1368 - gibbôr or gibbôr, pronounced ghib-bore', ghib-bore' and means: Intensive from the same as H1397; powerful; by implication warrior, tyrant: - champion, chief, X excel, giant, man, mighty (man, one), strong (man), valiant man. - remember (1) Goliath - who David slew; (2) His brother who had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot; (3) Og, king of Bashan who had a bed that was 9 cubits long and 4 wide (ap 51; III. 2. 1. 1.), in other words, Og's bed was approximately 18 feet long and 8.5 feet wide; I named these three just to name a few, but there were many others.
These fallen angels came and mated with all the races of the world but they were mainly interested in the Adamic seedline in order to stop Father from coming in the flesh thereby preventing man's salvation.
We also see from Job 1:6 and other places that there were no "women - feminine" bodies in the spiritual bodies as all the verses read "sons of God." The female - feminine body is in this age to bring forth all of Father's children in this age, as well as the male - masculine, but in the eternity we will all be the "bride" or "wife" of Christ which leads to believe we will all be feminine.
"and also after that" this is in reference to the time after Noah's flood. There was a second irruption and another attempt on the Adamic seedline after the flood. We can see these in Genesis 12:6 as well as Genesis 13:7 and many other places, again, see the Promised Land after Father led the Israelites up out of their bondage to the Egyptians, Goliath, his brother, Og and others. The seven nations Father wanted the Israelites to utterly destroy and can be read of in Deuteronomy 7:1 and following.
Back to John 3; in other words, this "death" was to go contrary to God's plan. The people did, but it is essential that one be "born from above." Your soul comes from above, from God, for we were with God in that first earth age, and upon death Ecclesiastes 12:7 tells us that our souls return immediately to God.
Within God's plan, because of what happened in the first earth age, all souls must be born innocent from above. God's plan requires that each soul come into this world age through it's mother's womb, and make its own mind up whether that soul will follow God or Satan. That is free will, the right to chose the final destination of your own soul. They must be born innocent of the what happened in the first earth age, and the result of that first overthrow by Satan's downfall, as recorded in Genesis 1:2, when "the earth became void."
Jesus is giving the very basics of salvation to Nicodemus.
We'll see by the next verse, that Nicodemus didn't and\or couldn't understand what Jesus was talking about.
We'll also see when we come to Verse 3:7, that Jesus says "you must be born again," meaning that if not, your soul will not make it to see the eternity - Salvation.
John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, "How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?" -> Nicodemus still confused, asks Jesus "how can a man (no gender involved) literally become unborn and climb back into his mothers womb and be born again?"
Like Nicodemus, many a man also has to this day confused this verse.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. -> Jesus now tells Nicodemus that two births are necessary; the birth of the "water" and the birth of the "spirit." So lets define these two births. We need to do this because this verse again like Verse 3 above, have been taken out of context and wrongly taught by man. Man teaches that this means a person must be baptized and when they are baptized, they then receive the Holy Spirit. BUT, this is NOT what Jesus is teaching. And WHO DO YOU WANT TO TEACH YOU Jesus or man?
So, lets listen to Jesus teach us what this means. To be born from above is to be born of the womb of your mother. Every child is born in a bag of water, in fact the normal birth is announced by the breaking of the waters within the birthing bag. So we see in this, that one must be born of woman, in innocence, and then "be born of the spirit." And not of the "spirit" that some men teach. Again, lets look and see Jesus' teaching on this being born of the Spirit.
To be "Born of the spirit" means; - to accept the Spirit of Christ, meaning; - your soul choosing by "free will" the Spirit of Christ into your spirit. That is what the marriage of Christ is all about; to become one in Christ.
This is why most people simply do not know what being "born from above means," - they disregard what happened in Genesis 6, and in that first earth age. They overlook all of satan's attempts to destroy Father's Plan; to come in this Age as His Son, through the womb of woman, in order that we might have redemption. It was satan's plan to interrupt Father's Plan by corrupting the seedline through which He would come. God intervened in satan's attempt, as He always will do. This is why Enoch's teaching, I Corinthians 10:11, and the book of Jude are so important.
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. -> To understand what Jesus is teaching Nicodemus and us, let us go to Paul's teaching in I Corinthians 15:35 But some man (never listen to man) will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? -> Here in I Corinthians 15 Paul is telling us what happens to our flesh bodies when we bury them in the earth. Sharpen up for me because if you do; shortly you will understand and won't be confused any longer. If you believe in the resurrection (and you better or you are not a Christian), you're going to learn how the resurrection takes place for us; Where it takes place; and with what body do we rise.
Of course we're talking about our physical bodies change. We know from Ecclesiastes 12:6-7 that as soon as we die; our physical body starts to return to the dust from which it was formed, and our Spiritual body returns to the Father who gave it. But, just how does this happen? I Corinthians 15:36 Thou fool, (if you listen to man, that is what you can become – a fool) that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: -> The word "quickened in the Greek manuscripts, in the Strong's Concordance is Greek word number G2227 - zōopoieō, pronounced - dzo-op-oy-eh'-o, and means: From the same as G2226 and G4160; to (re-) vitalize (literally or figuratively): - make alive, give life, quicken. - Back in I Corinthians 15:22 Paul stated: I Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. -> The word quickened is the same as is used by Paul here in this verse – to make alive. And it means that everybody: sinners and saints are made alive through Jesus Christ. It doesn't mean that the soul is raised to eternal life. Why? For several reasons; but for this instance, in this verse, it is because that is not the subject – the subject is what happens to the physical body.
As we learned: to quicken means to revitalize, as in the soul. The soul becomes conscious and ready for Judgment. Again, this doesn't mean that all souls are or will be "saved," but that are souls that have returned to the Father, and those souls that will return to Father either by the body dying or at Christ's return at His Second Advent, will be there in His 1,000 year Millennium, some to do the teaching and disciplining and some to receive teaching and disciplining.
It will not be until the end of the Millennium, when after satan is loosed again, for a short period of time, that then will come the Great White Throne Judgment. Again, some for rewards and some for punishment: – the Lake of Fire or the Second Death – the death of the soul. But either way, all the souls have to be there for this time to face.
Father tells us through Paul in Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. -> Putting Father's Word in your mind, becomes the "sealing of Revelation 9:4, and also becomes the normal thought for all your thoughts: - it becomes foremost and forefront of all thought. Our Lord, Jesus, is The Living Word John 1:1, and He can discern the intend of our thoughts – what's in our heart: II Chronicles 6:30 Then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:) -> Within our body is our Spirit which He created and he knows and we cannot fool Father – not ever.
We have to be able to separate and distinguish the Spirit, the soul and the body to be able to fully understand the resurrection. Paul will now explain our flesh body utilizing agricultural terms for us. This is what happens to our flesh, not our soul or Spirit.
I Corinthians 15:37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: -> It isn't hard really when you think about it. And like Paul is doing here, he is comparing our flesh and blood body with other living things: - grass, trees, plants etc.
When a seedling is taken from, let's say a kernel of corn, first you must remove the cover from off the seedling, then that seedling is naked as a new born baby. This seedling is not the stalk of corn you'll see come up next year as it'll have a totally different look to it. No, first, it'll have to die out, or "dry out." Only after that happens, will it then be ready for planting – much like us. Our body too has to die, so that our Spirit can be prepared to return to Father: - or raise a beautiful new Spiritual body.
The flesh body dies and that new Spiritual body; - raises to be in paradise, either on the side of the gulf with the rich man: - away from Christ, or the side with Lazareth and Abraham – with Christ. Nowhere In Father's Word does it say that the flesh will rise and be in heaven, as a matter of fact, Father's Word declares just the opposite: I Corinthians 15:50 "…Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God…" Christ's Body though did resurrect, why? So that man could not say "see, He's dead: there's His body." But in reality, His body didn't rise, it was transfigured like when He appeared to Peter, James, and John, James' brother in Matthew 17:1-13. This transfigured body was also the body that the women saw at the tomb, and also His apostles saw after He resurrected.
So likewise, the body of the seed of corn that we plant for our crop the following year, when it springs up, it is not the same body that we put in the ground the previous year.
When you plant any seed, flowers, corn, or wheat, there is an embryo deep inside of the body of that plant. As the body of the parent plant decays, it feeds this little embryo that is deep within that seed or kernel of corn. Then when the water, and temperature, and soil are just right, then that embryo springs forth into new life, and a new plant is formed. That is exactly as it is with our flesh body, the old flesh body must die before the new life of our new spiritual of soul body can come forth. The time that it takes for the new spiritual life to come from the death of the old flesh body is instant.
The instant that the flesh body dies, the soul and spirit body is present with the Lord that gave it in the first place. The flesh decays back into the elements of the earth that it is made of, and your soul returns to the Father. Paul could not have made it more simpler than the using of a grain of wheat in comparison to our flesh bodies. Just as all of nature functions, so it is with man.
I Corinthians 15:38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. -> It was and is Father's pleasure to bring man in the flesh in order to be able Himself to likewise partake of such in order for Him to be able to redeem us back to Him. It is our purpose to utilize these bodies to bring glory to our Creator – ELOHIM. Wed can read of this in Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. -> On the sixth day Genesis 1:26-31 Father created all the races, "and God saw every thing that He had made, and behold, it was very good…" And it was very pleasing to Him, but He still needed to bring forth the seedline through which He Himself would come, and when He formed Adam of the dust of the ground, Genesis 2:7-8, He likewise was pleased with this portion of His creation as well.
Our bodies are given to our souls for the sake of being pleasing God, this is the only purpose that our souls exist in our physical bodies. Though our flesh bodies may have a missing a limb or part, the spiritual body within this physical body is still whole and complete. In all of nature, all seeds within them have their embryos for the sake of continuing life after they are gone.
There is nothing to be ashamed of in the race that He created you, for it pleased God to create you as you are, and if it pleased Him, it had better be pleasing to you and make you proud of the race you were created.
I Corinthians 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. -> ELOHIM created all things, that pure and that simple, and, they were all created for His pleasure – to bring Him joy and happiness. He created each person differently – except twins, but, man is different from dog, and dog different a cow and a cow different from a fish and a fish different from a bird. We don’t mate with His different creation and likewise the
