How To

*             The Parable of
                 The Fig Tree

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ gave us a commandment which most people don't know about, nor do most churches teach about; but, it was important enough that He stated it in two different Gospels: Matthew 24:32 and Mark 13:28. We'll read it from Mark 13: Mark 13:28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:   ->   I have heard many different preachers give many different explanations for this phrase. Some preachers even try and explain that this just means that "when we see the leaves beginning to appear on the fig tree, Christ's return is at hand." But tell me, do not the leaves appear every spring? So then, what they teach cannot be correct and therefore; Jesus must have had a deeper meaning. Remember also, this is a parable, and every one of Jesus' parables have deeper meanings.

The thing to note concerning the two Chapters in these two Gospels is that they both focus on what must come to pass just prior to Jesus' Return for His Second Advent; hence the statement in Mark 13:28: "ye know that summer is near:". In other words, He was telling His Disciples, and even more importantly us living todayand I say us because we are living in the Generation of the Fig Tree, therefore is concerns us more than His Disciplesthat the things which transpire within this Parable are indicators of what to look for and expect, just prior to His return.

You would think that, if it was important enough for Jesus to state it more than once; then Christians would want to know about it, and then also want to follow His commandment to learn about it. It is important enough; that, I feel confident when I say If you don't understand the Parable of the Fig Tree, you'll never fully understand Father's Word.

In this study we will explore this parable, its origin, what it's meaning is, and why it is so important to us who are living today.

If you were born in or after the year 1948 AD; then, this parable is important to you because, it directly affects you as; you will most likely be alive when Jesus returns to begin His Millennial Reign.

I said that Jesus uttered this phrase in the Gospels of Matthew 24 and Mark 13, what was the subject of discussion during the utterances of this commandment? The discipleswe learn in Mark 13:3 that it was Peter, James, John and Andrewhad asked Jesus what it would be like just prior to His return, what the signs would be, and what they and we living today: could expect. In both Matthew 24 and Mark 13, Jesus explained to His disciples the things which must take place before He returns i.e.: (1) pastors coming in Christ's name claiming they are His, but instead of teaching His Doctrine, they only teach the traditions of man and\or false doctrines; (2) the great apostasy, or the falling away from the Word of God, and from following on His path of righteousness; (3) people betraying each other to and delivering each other up to, the councils and synagogues of satan all the while believing they are "saving" the one they are betraying; (4) satan, as anti-christ (instead of, or pretend-to-be in the Greek), standing in Jerusalem claiming that he is Christ and has returned to either "rapture them away, or for the second advent; (5) Father's elect being delivered up to satan's councils and then speaking in those cloven tongues which all the world will hear and instantly understand in their own languages, right down to even the dialect of their own county that they were born in. These are just some of the events which must take place just prior to Jesus' return; and, if you are paying any attention at all, then you know you are witnessing some of these things coming to pass today.

Notice also, Jesus says, "Now learn." Did He say "you may want to think about," or maybe, "you might want to..."? No, He said, "Now learn." I cannot over emphasize the importance of this commandment of His. He is commanding us and telling us that there is something important He wants us to "learn." Just what could that something be?

Jesus is trying to explain to you and I living today, just how to separate the "end-time, Fig Tree generation," or the generation in which He will return, from all other generations. How will we know? Because the first thing that had to take place was Israel returning and being established as a Nation. Has that yet happened? Yes it did, in the year 1948 AD. That was when the United Nations acknowledged and established the Country of Israel on the lands they again dwell on. How and why do we know this? Because of the fig tree. You see, you don't plant seeds to grow a fig tree, you set out a shoot, much like tobacco. How does the setting of a shoot of a fig tree equate to establishing of the Nation of Israel? Because with a planted seedling, it takes generations to grow, but, with the setting of a shoot, you are replanting something which is already established, and that is exactly the way the Nation of Israel came about in 1948, they were re-established on lands that Father had previously given them. That then is our standard which guides us and shows us that we are now in the season of the end times, and we now know not the actual day or date; but, the season.

You might ask, but how do we know this is what Jesus was talking about? Because, when that tiny Nation was re-established, the prophesy of Jeremiah 24 came to pass, or, "was fulfilled." What was the prophesy of Jeremiah 24? We will get to that a little later in this study; but first, let's look more closely at this "fig tree." Beside the fact that the fig tree grew, and still grows in that part of the world, (hence the parable of it) why would Jesus mention the fig tree? And He doesn't mention it just once, He mentioned it several times and, He even talked to one and told it, "it would never again produce any fruit" in Matthew 21:19 and Mark 11:14.

Jesus also mentions the fig tree to recall to our memory the "very first prophesy of His coming" in Father's Word which can be found in Genesis 3. What happened in Genesis 3? Let's go there and find out.

Before we get into this, let's first establish "who is who," in the Garden of Eden. We'll start with (1) Father, He was there as Himself ELOHIM (hebrew4christians: names of God) Creator of All Things, plus, Father has many roles and titles found throughout His Word, but, in the Garden, He was YHVH ELOHIM; next was (2) Jesus, Yes, Jesus was there, He like Father, has many roles and titles: In the Garden He was and IS the Tree of Life; He is also God in the Flesh; Melchizedek; YHVH's Saviour; Immanuel - God with us; The Logos (Word of God); The Tree of Life; The Lamb of God; The Way, The Truth and The Life; The Light of the World; The Bright Morning Star; The Anointed One; The Messiah; Rabboni; Jesus Christ; Christ Jesus (after the crucifixion); Lord; Christ The Lord; Master; only begotten Son of God; and Son of man amongst others; then there was (3) satan; What role was satan's? He is: (he also has roles he plays not different bodies he inhabits), in the garden he was "the tree of knowledge of good and evil," also as "the serpent" (this was just a role he played in the Garden of Eden in other words something he was called as we'll see below); Lucifer; the devil; the dragon; the deceiver; the destroyer; death; the accuser; antichrist; the beast; abaddon; apollyon, and son of perdition; also in the Garden obviously were (4) Adam and (5) Eve the first male and female in the seedline through which Father would be born in the flesh.

Now that we have identified the "who is who," and that Jesus, being God Who knows each of us and all things, let's continue on with Genesis 3, and it reads:

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD GOD had made. And he said unto the woman, "Yea, Hath God said, 'Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?"   ->   The tree of knowledge of good and evil (satan,) identified as the serpent because of the "role" he was playing in this chapter, talks with Eve. Now before we go any further, let me ask you something: Do you really believe with all your heart what you were told as a child, or maybe even as an adult for that matter, that a snake (serpent) walked upright on two legs, had vocal chords and could form words and speak, and could also hold an intelligent conversation with a human? Think hard about this. The answer is a resounding NO. As I already identified above, satan was here in the Garden as the tree of knowledge of good and evil. So, what does this truly mean? It means that, he was there in his spiritual body (just like Father and Jesus [Tree of Life]). What does a spiritual body look like? It looks like the angels bodyies. His body was and still is to this day, like the body we inhabited in the First Earth Age (an age before this current one [when he rebelled and drew one third of Father's children with him in that rebellion]). For an example of these bodies just look at the bodies of Michael and Gabriel, both arch angels who appeared to Daniel, Zechariah and Mary. There wasn't any fear on Daniel's, Zechariah's or Mary's faces at seeing those bodies; except, the shock of seeing an angel standing before them.

Now that we have identified the two roles satan playing here in the Garden of Eden, and what body he was in in the Garden of Eden, it'll be easier to understand what he "did" to Eve, and to Adam for that matter, and to why Father cursed him as severely as He did.

So, with that being said, let's look at two words here in this verse. The first of course is "serpent." Since satan is called such in both the Hebrew (Old Testament) and Greek (New Testament) we'll look at both starting with the Old, in the Hebrew in the Strong's Concordance it is Hebrew word number: H5175, - נחשׁ, - nâchâsh, pronounced - naw-khawsh', and means: From H5172; a snake (from its hiss): - serpent.. So, in other words, satan is called the serpent because of what issues forth out of his mouth, and we'll find out that issues out of his mouth is LIES.

Now let's look at H5172 and see what it says: H5172, - נחשׁ, - nâchash, pronounced - naw-khash', and means: A primitive root; properly to hiss, that is, whisper a (magic) spell; generally to prognosticate: - X certainly, divine, enchanter, (use) X enchantment, learn by experience, X indeed, diligently observe..

As we see, in the Hebrew manuscripts, satan is called the serpent because of his "hissing;" or, speaking divine enchantments or casting of spells, which is what he will use to deceive Eve. He will do this by using Father's Word Scripture; but, by twisting it just enough to make it of None Effect. But, you might ask... "Even though he uses enchantments, how does that cause Father's Word to call him a snake?" Our answer to that question is several-fold: (1) what do we call a "used car salesman?" We call a used car salesman "a snake in the grass." Why? Because they lie to us in order to make us buy a car from them; and (2) let's take our tracing of the Hebrew back even a little further. If we were to continue to go back toward the "Prime Root" of the word "nachash" we would come to Hebrew word number H5154; so, let’s look that up in the Strong's Concordance: H5154 - נחשׁה or נחוּשׁה, - nechûshâh, or nechûshâh, pronounced - nekh-oo-shaw', or nekh-oo-shaw', and means: Feminine of H5153; copper: - brass, steel. Compare H5176.. Now, Hebrew word number H5153: H5153, - נחוּשׁ, - nâchûsh, pronounced - naw-khoosh' and means: Apparently passive participle of H5172 (perhaps in the sense of ringing, that is, bell metal; or from the red color of the throat of a serpent (H5175, as denominative) when hissing); coppery, that is, (figuratively) hard: - of brass..

Again, in the Hebrew he is called the serpent because of his use of enchantments but also because of his coppery color. Copper of course is shiny when polished, so you could say he was the "shining one Hebrew word number: H3314, - יפעה, - yiph'ah, pronounced - yif-aw' and means: From 3313; splendor, of (figuratively) beauty: - brightness. . Now let's look at H3313: H3313, - יפע, - yapah', pronounced - yaw-fah' and means: A primitive root; to shine: - be light, shew, self, (cause to) shine (forth).. It is from this verse in the manuscripts that satan gets his name "the shining one" as used in here in Genesis 3:1, where he is identified as the serpent," which IS WHAT HE IS called in Ezekiel 28:7; or, you could say that he put off a "glow-like appearance to Adam and Eve. Now think a minute, in all the older paintings of Christ, Mary and the angels, they always had a "glow" or "halo" around their heads. That's because before recent man started painting pictures of Christ, they understood about this "glow."

So, when satan appeared to Adam and Eve in the Garden, and he had this "glow" about him, do you not think they knew there was something special about him? They knew he was like Father and Jesus who were also there in the Garden. And then he started lying to them to get them to come to his way of thinking just like in the first earth age when he was able to convince one third of Father's children to follow him and worship him instead of Father, That same slick tongue.

Let's continue to look at the word "serpent" only this time in the Greek, in the Strong's Concordance it is Greek word number: G3789, - ὄφις, - ophis, pronounced - of'-is and means: Probably from G3700 (through the idea of sharpness of vision); a snake, figuratively (as a type of sly cunning) an artful malicious person, especially Satan: - serpent.. Then if we take it back to G3700: - G3700, ὀπτάνομαι, ὄπτομαι, - optanomai or optomai, pronounced - op-tan'-om-ahee, or op'-tom-ahee and means: The first a (middle voice) prolonged form of the second (primary) which is used for it in certain tenses; and both as alternates of G3708; to gaze (that is, with wide open eyes, as at something remarkable; and thus differing from G991, which denotes simply voluntary observation; and from G1492, which expresses merely mechanical, passive or casual vision; while G2300, and still more emphatically its intensive G2334, signifies an earnest but more continued inspection; and G4648 a watching from a distance): - appear, look, see, shew self..

Now that we have the reason that satan is "called" the serpent i.e., because of the role he is playing, his using enchantments in a sly deceptive manner, and it also having to do with the "eyes." To look at something with them "wide open;" or, as in this case here in Genesis 3, in a moment when we translate the word tree we’ll see that they'll be closed, and it was NOT because, as man would have us believe, he was a snake in the Garden of Eden. His whole purpose of being there (and we have to remember), FATHER ALLOWED HIM TO BE THERE in order to try and deceive Adam and Eve.

By what and How will he deceive them? We'll find out; but, before we do, let's first look at the second word I said I wanted us to examine, the word "subtil" as used here in verse Genesis 3:1. In the Strong’s, it is Hebrew word number: H6175, - ערוּם, - ‛ârûm, pronounced - aw-room' and means: Passive participle of H6191; cunning (usually in a bad sense): - crafty, prudent, subtil.. So, we see that satan was being cunning, crafty, or prudent (in a bad sense) which fits right in with the Greek word for serpent "sly."

Our adversary satan speaks to Eve and immediately states a lying statement to her... "can it be that God has said 'you cannot eat of every tree of the Garden?' " Remember, Father told Adam in Genesis 2:16-17 that they may "Freely eat of every tree of the Garden except satan the tree of knowledge of good and evil."

So, satan's quote of Father, "Ye shall not eat of every tree of the Garden?" is stated in the form of a lie from what Father actually stated in Genesis 2:16-17. The exception to "every tree" was, "...but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat.". That tree is satan. Notice also that satan did NOT finish the quote from Father concerning not partaking of the tree of knowledge of good and evil (himself).

This is satan's first utterance in Scripture, and he knows from the start, his opposition to Father's Word; for, it is Father's Word in the first earth age which sentenced satan to death; and that is where his name "son of perdition" comes from. Father’s adversary satan is out to foul up Father’s entire plan for this earth age, which was to make way for Father coming in the flesh as the Christ child, whereby all of His Children can be drawn back to Him.

Now let's look closely at the word "tree" as used here and in Genesis 2. In the Strong's Concordance it is Hebrew word number H6086, - עץ, - ‛êts, pronounced - ates and means: From H6095; a tree (from its firmness); hence wood (plural sticks): - + carpenter, gallows, helve, + pine, plank, staff, stalk, stick, stock, timber, tree, wood.. Now taking it back to H6095, - עצה, - ‛âtsâh, pronounced - aw-tsaw' and means: A primitive root; properly to fasten (or make firm), that is, TO Close (The EYES): - shut.. We also have to go to H6096: H6096, - עצה, - ‛âtseh, pronounced - aw-tseh' and means: From H6095; the spine (as giving firmness to the body): - back bone..

So, as we "see" a lot more transpired in this verse than what meets the "eye" so to speak. Who is it that opens the eyes and gives us the " Eyes to See" Only Father and we CAN FIND THAT IN SEVERAL PLACES IN HIS WORD: Deuteronomy 29:4; Ezekiel 12:2; Matthew 13:15-16; Mark 8:18; Luke 10:23. Again, in this we see satan wanting to take Father's place. IT IS ONLY FATHER WHO OPENS OUR EYES TO SEE but satan wants to do just that here with Eve.

Eve told satan in Genesis 3:2 that Father said they could eat of the fruit of the trees in the Garden, she then followed that up with:

Genesis 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, 'Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.' "   ->   This is how the King James' translators translated it; however, Eve correctly states (in the Hebrew Manuscripts) "But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the Garden, God hath said, "Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye naga it..." The word "naga" that Eve uses in this verse is in the Strong's Concordance Hebrew word number H5060: H5060, - נגע, - nâga‛, pronounced naw-gah' and means: A primitive root; properly to touch, that is, lay the hand upon (for any purpose; euphemistically, to lie with a woman); by implication to reach (figuratively to arrive, acquire); violently, to strike (punish, defeat, destroy, etc.): - beat, (X be able to) bring (down), cast, come (nigh), draw near (nigh), get up, happen, join, near, plague, reach (up), smite, strike, touch.. Notice the "to lie with a woman." Let's see what Paul had to say about this in the New Testament II Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty...". The word "beguiled" that Paul used here in Strong's, in the Greek is word number G1818: G1818, - ἐξαπατάω, - exapataō, pronounced - ex-ap-at-ah'-o and means: From G1537 and G538; to seduce wholly: - beguile, deceive.. Our adversary satan wholly (mind, body and spirit) seduced Eve and lay with her in order to interrupt or corrupt the seed line through which Jesus Christ would come in an attempt to stop Father from being born in the flesh.

Now, before you go off and say "that's impossible and not true." Think about this for a minute. What does satan look like? He looks similar to you and I, and we read in Ezekiel 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.   ->    Ezekiel 28 in its entirety is a superb read and you should read it. Father made him the full pattern, he was and is beautiful; so, for him to seduce Eve is really no stretch of the imagination.

So, now let's see what Father had to say to Eve and satan in Genesis 3:13 and following, Let's read it together:

Genesis 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, "What is this that thou hast done?" And the woman said, "The serpent beguiled me and I did eat."   ->   Father asked Eve what had happened and Eve told Him, satan wholly seduced her. Now let's listen to what Father tells satan for his doing so:

Genesis 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, "Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly thou shalt go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life.   ->   Father curses satan more strongly in this verse, than when satan (allowed by Father) attacks and temps Job, and even when he attempts to tempt the Son of Father Jesus, in both Matthew 4 and Luke 4. "Upon thy belly and eating dust" are statements of degradation, not literal things satan will do. Satan didn't go from walking upright on two legs, to no legs and slithering. So then, just what was it that satan did to deserve such harsh cursing from Father ELOHIM, the Creator of all and all things, even of satan himself? He lay with Eve in order to impregnate her to try and stop Father from being born in the flesh. We'll better understand this with the continuation of the next two verses:

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, (pay attention for this is the first prophesy of the coming of Christ Jesus in Father's Word) and between thy seed and her Seed; It shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise His heel."   ->   The word "seed" used in both these applications in this verse is in the Strong's Concordance, Hebrew word number: H2233, - זרע, - zera‛, pronounced - zeh'-rah, and means: From H2232; seed; figuratively fruit, plant, sowing time, posterity: - X carnally, child, fruitful, seed (-time), sowing-time.. Did you notice the word “fruitful” in the explanation? What was it Father told Adam and Eve not to partake of in the Garden? The Fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil satan.

Father is telling satan that there will be hatred between his offspring and Father's Offspringsee also Matthew 13 for more clarification on thisand that satan's offspring will nail Christ to the cross but in the end Christ will mortally wound satan (death of his soul in the Lake of Fire - the Second Death).

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman He said, "I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.   ->   Now, why would Father Himself bring up "conception, children, and Eve's desire to be towards her husband, here in this verse if satan had not lay with Eve? Listen to what Father says, and is saying, not to what man says.

Now, let's go back a few verses and read Genesis 3:7:

Genesis 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and they made themselves aprons.   ->   They sewed "fig leaves" together and placed them where? Over their mouths? No. Over their genitals. Jesus commanded us to "learn the parable of the fig tree" and this is the start of what He wanted us to learn. Cainthe offspring of satan and Evewas that first child who slew his (half) brother Able. Cain's seed-line, or race are known as the Kenites, of which Father YHVH Himself declares in Numbers 24:22 Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur carry thee away captive.   ->   Father knows who these offspring are, and if you carefully follow genealogies and scriptures, you too will know.

It is time to put away what you have been taught since childhood because it wasn't the "eating of apples," nor was it just "their disobedience to Father." It was intercourse between satan and Eve. The fruit of intercourse is children and that was the fruit our Father didn't want Eve to partake of. Where were they in the Garden of Eden? They were in a "fig grove" not an apple orchard, this is why they used fig leaves and not apple leaves to cover their genitals and not their mouths. In Neither Genesis 4 nor Genesis 5 do you find Cain in Adam's genealogy, and it wasn't, as I have heard some say, "that was because Father banished him from the Garden." No, it was because he wasn't in Adam's lineage because Adam wasn't his father, satan was.

This was the first and most important part of the parable of the fig tree that Jesus wanted us to learn because if you don't know and understand the beginning, you'll never truly understand the rest of Father's Word. Who would not want you to know and understand this? Our adversary satan. Remember one of his names is "the deceiver" and he wants you to remain deceived about what took place.

Now, let's completely change direction and now look at the portion which deals with the year 1948 AD of which I spoke of earlier in this Study. You see, the fig tree spiritually symbolizes the Nation or "House of Israel;" and as such, there is the portion that loves Father and they bring forth His Word and therefore "has life;" and then, there is the portion which does not keep or bring forth His Word, and they therefore, "have not life," in other words, they are "spiritually dead." When Jesus spoke to the fig tree in Matthew 21 and Mark 11 and told it "it would henceforth never bring forth fruit," He was referring to this dispensation of time, this age, He was also speaking to a "peoples," satan's offspring, as well as some of the children from the House of Israel.

It was during king Solomon'sthe third king of the still United House of Israelreign, with his seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines that he caused the Nation of Israel to go astray from Father YHVH and follow after other false gods, the gods of his many wives and concubines. Father had warned him concerning this and told him not to chase after their false gods. Solomon did it anyway, thereby causing the whole Nation to go astray; because, as the king goes, so do the kings subjects people. For doing this, Father YHVH told Solomon that when he died, He, Father, was going to split the Nation of Israel into two separate kingdoms. One would continue to be called the "House of Israel"ten Tribes made up of Reuben; Simeon; part of Levi; Zebulun; Issachar; Dan; Gad; Asher; Naphtali; part of Manasseh; and Ephraimand the other Kingdom would be called the "House of Judah"which would consist of two tribes, the tribe of Judah and Benjamin, with parts of Levi and Manasseh. It was during these times that first the "House of Israel" yet again turned away from Father YHVH in order to continue worshiping false god;, so, after approximately 300 years, He sent the House of Israel into captivity to the Assyrians, and then two hundred years later for the same reason, He sent the House of Judah into captivity to the Babylonians. Both Houses were considered by Father YHVH to be spiritually dead producing no fruit.

The Assyrians so dismantled and scattered the House of Israel that they fled up and over the Caucasus Mountains where they to this day, are still scattered. When they went over the Caucasus Mountains, they became known as the Caucasian peoples. Where are the Caucasian peoples today? That's right; they comprise Europe, the United States and Canada. Remember, Father YHVH had told Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that their offspring would be as numerous as "the stars of the heavens," and "the sands in the seas," that little tiny Nation of Israel just doesn't fit this bill.

The Babylonians kept the tribes of the House of Judah together, and it is they who make up the Nation of Israel today, along with those who "say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie, they are of the synagogue of satan." The whole world believes that this tiny portion comprises all twelve tribes; however, even Jesus said in Matthew 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the House of Israel., and James opens his Epistle with James 1:1 James, a servant of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting..

So, just who makes up the "House of Judah" that is in Israel today? For the answer to that, we first look to I Chronicles 2:55 And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; The Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.   ->   You need to trace the lineage of Rechab to truly understand who these are but, "Kenite" is your clue. They were the temple servants from the tribes of Hittites; Girgashites; Amorites; Canaanites; Perizzites; Hivites and Jebusites which the Israelites did not utterly destroy as Father had told them to when He moved them into the Promised Land.  Instead, they made them servants and had them assist the Levites in the gathering of water and wood for the Altar of Father, later they started taking over other duties such as scribe, and then later still as the priests, they became known as the "nethinims." They purposefully infiltrated the Israelites in order to try and mixcorruptthe seedline through which Father would be born in the flesh, and take over and change Father's Word in order to hide the truth from Father's children. We next find them in Ezra 8:15 And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the People, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.  ->   It was only the Tribe of Levi that were allowed, and supposed to be the High Priest and priests of Father. Then in Nehemiah 7:46 The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of hashupha, the children of Tabboth., 7:57 The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,, 7:73 So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the People, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, (those of the House of Judah - the two tribes, for these are returning from the captivity to the Babylonians) dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.   ->   Notice they still had the nethinims with them, even after Ezra had sent back to Babylon to get the sons of Levi to be the priests. We next find them in Jeremiah 35 where Father tells Jeremiah to go to them and bring them into His (God's) House and set wine before them and tell them to drink some of the wine. They of course being satan's offspring, refuse to drink any wine, which Father already knew they wouldn't. Remember satan would not want his offspring to drink the symbolical "Blood of the Lamb - Blood of Christ). It was from these that Jesus was talking about when He talked to the fig tree in Matthew 21 and Mark 11 and told them they would never again produce any fruit. They were also identified by Father to Jeremiah eleven chapters earlier in that Book. So, let's go there, turn with me to Jeremiah 24:

Jeremiah 24:1 The LORD shewed me, and behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.   ->   Every one of the verses in this chapter are for both the current time of Judah's captivity in the year 600 BC and also in the future sense, future even to our time; but, some of the events will take place during the lastour - the last and finalgeneration.

This portion of the parable unfolds with Father YHVH showing Jeremiah the temple of Father in Jerusalem; however, Nebuchadrezzar had already carried the House of Judah away from Jerusalem to Babylon and into their 70 year captivity. Notice the House of Israel is still split in two: House of Israel" and "House of Judah" all Jeremiah's prophesies deal with the House of Judah - the two tribes. We know they are in captivity because of the name of Judah's king Jeconiah, in the Hebrew it means "one who YAH will establish." And it was Father YHVH Who sent the House of Judah into captivity and established Jeconiah as their king while in captivity.

So what is transpiring here? Father YHVH is showing our prophet, Jeremiah, the temple of God in Jerusalem, and in front of it are two baskets of figs. Why is this significant? We're about to find out.

Jeremiah 24:2 One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.   ->   So we have these two baskets of figs, one of which is "good," which as used in this verse in the Hebrew means: H2896, - טוב, - ṭôb, pronounced - tobe, and means: From H2895; good (as an adjective) in the widest sense; used likewise as a noun, both in the masculine and the feminine, the singular and the plural (good, a good or good thing, a good man or woman; the good, goods or good things, good men or women), also as an adverb (well): - beautiful, best, better, bountiful, cheerful, at ease, X fair (word), (be in) favour, fine, glad, good (deed, -lier, liest, -ly, -ness, -s), graciously, joyful, kindly, kindness, liketh (best), loving, merry, X most, pleasant, + pleaseth, pleasure, precious, prosperity, ready, sweet, wealth, welfare, (be) well ([-favoured]).. So, as we see good being used in this verse, it is in reference to people, places or things; not fruit. In contrast we have "naughty" figs which as used in this verse means: H7451, - רעה, or רע, - ra‛ râ‛âh, pronounced - rah, or raw-aw', and means: From H7489; bad or (as noun) evil (naturally or morally). This includes the second (feminine) form; as adjective or noun: - adversity, affliction, bad, calamity, + displease (-ure), distress, evil ([-favouredness], man, thing), + exceedingly, X great, grief (-vous), harm, heavy, hurt (-ful), ill (favoured), + mark, mischief, (-vous), misery, naught (-ty), noisome, + not please, sad (-ly), sore, sorrow, trouble, vex, wicked (-ly, -ness, one), worse (-st) wretchedness, wrong. [Including feminine ra’ah; as adjective or noun.]. If we were to continue we would find that in no wise does the word "naughty" as used in this verse, mean fruit spoiling. These two baskets of fruit that are set in front of the temple represent people.

Jeremiah 24:3 Then said the LORD unto me, What seeth thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.   ->   Father told Jeremiah to describe to Him what he was seeing, not because Father didn't know or understand; but, because He wanted Jeremiah and us to know and understand. So, what was it that Jeremiah was seeing? Two manner of peoples, one which loved our Father, The LORD God; and one which loved not our Father, but their father satan. Jesus goes into great depth with this when He teaches to His disciples and us, the "Parable of the Sower" and the "Parable of the Tares" in Matthew 13.

Jeremiah 24:4 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,   ->   Now that Father has Jeremiah's and our attention, He'll continue to tell Jeremiah and us what He wants Jeremiah and us to learn.

Jeremiah 24:5 Thus saith the LORD, The God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.   ->   Notice Father says, it was He Who sent the Israelites into the Chaldeans (Babylonians) hands of captivity. It was because of their disobedience to Him and their chasing after other, false gods. We know from I Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are writen for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.    ->   Father is in control of all things and He was using the Israelitesour forefathersas an example to us, and for us, to show us what will take place in ourthe last and finalgeneration of flesh man. We too will be going into captivity in these end times. Who will be out captors? Our adversary, satan, in his role of the antichrist, and those that support him i.e. the fallen angels who will be coming back with him (Matthew 24:37-38 and Luke 17:26-27), the remnent of his offspring - the kenites (and yes, there are many of them who are still with us today), and all those who do not know Father's Word and are deceived by him.

Do we have anything to fear or worry about? Not if we know Father's Word and have it sealed in our minds. By having His Word sealed in our minds, we know what is going to happen, we know that satan, as antichrist - the false prophet, the instead of Jesus, comes before the True Christ. We know that Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.   ->   And as long as we have this knowledge he cannot hurt us. Why? Because we know who he is and what his plan is and what is going to take place.

Why would Father allow and send satan as the antichrist, instead of in the Greek, to come to this age (aion) of flesh man? It is a test by Him to see who has truly read His Word and has not allowed man and man's traditions to deceive them. Our adversary satan can do nothing without Father allowing him to!

What else do we know? Matthew 24:9, Mark 13:11 and Luke 21:13-15 tell us that someHis Electwill be delivered up to satan and his councils to allow Father to speak through our mouths utilizing His Holy Spirit, thereby speaking The Cloven Tongues spoken by the apostles in Acts 2:4-16. This will be done in order for Father to make it as plain as possible and easy to understand without any language barriers so that even the gainsayers won't be able to speak against the Truth and who the antichrist is. This is what the Pentecostal Tongue is all about and for.

The ultimate purpose of Father's plan is so that many will hear and return their heartsmindsback to Him prior to The True Christ's return. For that is what He wants, He wants His children to come out of their confusion and slumber and the deception, and to Know That He Is God.

Jeremiah 24:6 For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.   ->   Think on multiple levels here: First, Father did bring the Israelites (the good figs) and those who were mixed in with them (the naughty figs) out of that 70 year captivity to the Babylonians and returned them and set them in Jerusalem; but, this is also future to that time and to ours as well. Father is showing us that He will also bring us out of this flesh age and return us again to Him and His Kingdom. When the seventh and final trump sounds and Jesus returns for His one thousand year millennial reign, at the end of His reign, as can be read in Revelation 20, satan will be let loose one more time for a short period in order to gather those who will still follow him and be against Father, then will take place the Great White Throne Judgment with the casting of satan and those who follow him into the Lake of Fire, then Father will return those that love and follow Him to His Eternal Kingdom and we will never again be removed.

Jeremiah 24:7 And I will give them an heart to know Me, that I AM the LORD: and they shall be My People, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto Me with their whole heart.   ->   This is all Father has ever wanted, His children to love Him. Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy (Love), and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.   ->   Does not every father want their children to love them?!

The word "heart" as used in this verse in the Strong's Concordance is Hebrew word number: H3820, - לב, - lêb, pronounced - labe , and means: A form of H3824; the heart; also used (figuratively) very widely for the feelings, the will and even the intellect; likewise for the centre of anything: - + care for, comfortably, consent, X considered, courag [-eous], friend [-ly], ([broken-], [hard-], [merry-], [stiff-], [stout-], double) heart ([-ed]), X heed, X I, kindly, midst, mind (-ed), X regard ([-ed)], X themselves, X unawares, understanding, X well, willingly, wisdom.. In other words - the center of your feelings, intellect, and/or heart mind. When Jesus returns, every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and then after the Great White Throne Judgment and our Father returns us to Him, we will know with absolute certainty in our hearts that He IS God and that Jesus Christ IS The only begotten Son of God and we WILL love Them with all of our mind and being.

Jeremiah 24:8 And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, "So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:   ->   Remember, this chapter began with Father showing the prophet Jeremiah two baskets of figs which were set before the Temple of God. Inside those baskets were two manner of figs, representing two manner of people, one good which loved Father and His Word, and one that was naughty and did not love Father or His Word.

As I stated at the beginning of this chapter, every one of these verses deal with both the current time (600 BC) and the future, our present this last and final generation. Now, the next two verses pertain directly with our past and the House of Judah's current (600 BC) time. So, let's return to 600 BC and hear what Father had to say to the House of Judah.

In II Kings 24:17 when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took the House of Judah captive, by Father YHVH'S direction, he changed king Mattaniah's (gift of YAH) name to Zedekiah (right or justice of YAH) again, though unbeknownst to him, at Father's direction.

Jeremiah 24:9 And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.   ->   It was Father Who sent the House of Judah into the king of Babylon Nebuchadnezzar's hand of captivity, just as it is Father Who is going to send us into our captivity to our king of Babylon, satan as the antichrist, the instead of christ, in this last and final generation. Why will Father do this? Again, I must remind the reader of I Corinthians 11:10, it is for the very same reasons he sent first the House of Israel and then the House of Judah 200 years later: because we have a lack of belief in Him, a lack of faith and have been chasing after other false gods -- money; objects; and man as gods, all idols, all which He has told us His children, not to do.

His servant, satanand I know most of you will not believe that satan is His servant, but satan can only do what Father (satan's creator as well as ours) allows him to dohe can do nothing without Father's approval, and even though satan will come trying to deceive Father's children into following him, it is still Father using him to do this. It will be Father Who will send satan as the instead of Jesus. Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, [12:8] And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. [12:9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.   ->   Why? Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.   ->  Because satan's coming is a test from our Wonderful Father to see just which of His children has truly Studied His Word with understanding, or which have not really read His Word and only just sat in a pew and listened false teachings or to the traditions of man; and has had their eyes and ears closed to the truth in His Word, or which claim they don't even believe in Him and will be deceived and fail Father's test and follow after satan.

This time (in the flesh) won't even be the last time that satan is allowed to do this; again, read Revelation 20:7 and again, sadly most Christians don't know or understand this, nor have they even been taught this by their churches.

Jeremiah 24:10 And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, until they be consumed from of the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers."   ->   As He declares in this verse, it was He,FatherWho sent His children, both the House of Israel, and then 200 hundred years later the House of Judah into captivity because of their whoring after other false gods, and it will be Father Who sends us into our captivity in this last and final generation. It will be Father YHVH Who will send the swordchereb in the Hebrewthe drought of the living water; and the famine of His Word Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: [8:12] And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.   ->   Which we are seeing come to pass today. How many churches today teach His Word line-by-line, verse-by-verse, and chapter-by-chapter? Father has told us through His Prophet Isaiah how we should receive His Word Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: and again in Isaiah 29:13 Wherefore the LORD said, "Foreasmuch as this people draw near Me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour Me, but have removed their heart far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the precept of men. [29:14] Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this People, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid."   ->   We are living in that last and final Generation and it is high time Father's children return their hearts unto Him, our Creator. But as it is written, this will only truly happen during Christ's one thousand year millennial reign and then again at the end, just before the Great White Throne Judgment, sadly there will be yet another turning away. Those that do turn away will follow satan into that Lake of Fire, see: Revelation 20.

As we look upon that tiny Nation of Israelthe House of Judahtoday, we "see" those two baskets of figs, however, we cannot tell the good figs from the naughty figs, and throughout the rest of the world the only way we can even tell the Good Pastors from the kenites and\or nethinims is by listening to what they teach The Word of God or the traditions of man. Don't get me wrong, some of them sound  "oh so religious;" but, you must pay close attention to what they are saying, and by all means, stay away from "prosperity doctrines"; "rapture or fly away doctrines"; "tongues speaking in babel" and other such doctrines. You need to ask yourself: "Is their main concern tithes and trying to fleece you out of your hard earned money all in the name of God?" I used to deliver the mail as a USPS Rural Carrier, and as such, I saw some of the "fleecing" letters of "Prayers by mail" just send us your money and we'll put in a "special prayer just for you." I wanted to scream out to the people who received these pieces of trash and teach them; but, alas, I could not because that would've broken the "sanctity of the mail."

But, let's now return to Jesus and His teaching of His disciples in Matthew 24, to see what He has to say concerning this Parable of the Fig Tree:

Matthew 24:32 Now learn the parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:   ->   It is our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ speaking to us in this verse. What is He telling us? That we of the last and final Generation are on notice that the end of this Age is about to dawn upon us. How do we know this? Because of what He says: "...When his branch is yet tender and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh" In other words, the shoot that was set in 1948 AD has many years upon it and it is now beginning to put forth it's leaves. All the signs of the end of this Age are being shown to us today. No, we don't know the day or the date; but, we can know the season, and it is "spring heading into summer."

Matthew 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.   ->   What "things" shall we see to know that the end is at the doors? The first and foremost which is also the largest sign was that setting out of the shoot of the fig tree in the year 1948 AD, that was the main sign Jesus wanted us to watch for.

So, what are the other signs? Mark 13:7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be, but the end shall not be yet.   ->   Do we have any wars going on in the world today? Yes, we - the United States and our allies, are still at war with the Taliban, Al-Qaida, and ISIS, the terrorists organizations which want to impose their will on the free nations of the world and not allow peoples to be free. They want us to worship allah and not Father YHVH, they want us to either worship allah or die. Mark 13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in dives places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.   ->   Israel is still fighting their war against their many oppressors, Hamas, Iran, etc., plus we've had tsunamis, earthquakes and hurricanes in many different (divers) places as of late, all of which have claimed the lives of many. We see troubles (sedition,) everywhere we look today - the homosexuals pushing hard on our liberal left congress to get laws passed allowing them to get married and saying marriage is not between one man and one woman, the atheists "being offended" by any sign of the Cross on anything and the very mention of God or Jesus. But, as Jesus said "...these are the beginnings of sorrows." The end of this Age will soon be upon us; but, it isn't quite here yet. Sharpen up for me: Mark 13:9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them.   ->   Some of us will be beaten. Don't allow this to frighten you because, the only beating they will do is, "brow beat" us into thinking like they do. Heck, we're seeing a "type of that right now with the homosexual agenda being pushed upon us "you either say homosexuality is good, or we'll have you arrested." Others will be brought before their rulers and councils to allow Father's Holy Spirit to speak through our mouths against them (not allowing this, is the unpardonable sin as can be read in Luke 12:10-12). Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.   ->   So many churches today believe this to be their calling, i.e., to send out missionaries in order to get the Word out, and on one level, they are correct; however, this verse also ties in with the previous verse, and the next verse. The "gospel being published to all nations" is when Father's Holy Spirit speaks with that cloven tongue through His elect's mouths, it'll be heard, as it was heard in Acts 2, in all languages and dialects at once, with not translators. Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.   ->   Here it is; so, now lets' go and read it in The Gospel of Luke: Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Spirit it shall not be forgiven.   ->   Why will it be forgiven if someone speaks against Christ? Because they can and will be disciplined and taught during the millennium (see Revelation 20). But, should one of Father's Elect (and it is only they who the Holy Spirit will speak through, and thus, it is only they who can commit the unpardonable sin) not allow Father's Holy Spirit to speak through their mouth, as we'll see, that will be unforgivable. [12:11] And when they bring you into the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:   ->   As it says in, and as we read both here and in Mark 13:11, Father's Elect aren't even to premeditate what they are going to say to satan when they are delivered up to him. [12:12] For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say."   ->   It will be Father doing the speaking, and if you are one of His elect and you don't allow Him to speak, that is UNFORGIVABLE. Returning now to Mark 13, we read: Mark 13:12 Now the brother shall betray brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.   ->   Don't be frightened or allow anyone to mislead you concerning this verse, because this verse is not talking about physical death. What is one of satan's names? Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil;   ->   So, what Mark 13:12 is saying then, is that: thinking satan is Christ, people will accidentally betray their loved ones, and deliver them to the instead of Jesus and\or his people, all the while believing they are "saving" their loved one(s). Mark 13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: but he that endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.   ->   Think about what Jesus is saying in this verse: we'll be "hated for His name's sake." You better bet we will be when we don't accept their rock for The Rock, their messiah for The Messiah, their christ for The Christ. Just look at the United Stated today and the election of President Obama... oh don't you dare speak out against anything that MAN (and that is all he is a man) says. Obama is a perfect "type" of what is going to come in the future the instead-of-jesus: satan in his "role" of antichrist. People will be falling all over themselves over him for; he will be all gods to all people but, he is not The True Rock: and we read such in Deuteronomy 32: Deuteronomy 32:31 For their rock is not as our Rock, Even our enemies themselves being judges.   ->   No, of the True Rock: Deuteronomy 32:18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.   ->   Notice also that Jesus tells us in this verseMark 13:13that "he that endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Does He say "he that raptures out of here, the same shall be saved."? No. He says "he that endures to the end," meaning that, whoever stands to the end and fulfills Father's Will and Plan, whoever cares not for their life in these flesh bodies but more for Christ, that person shall be saved. Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:   ->   Jerusalemformerly known as Jebus, which was part of Canaanwas a land occupied by the Jebusites, the Amorites and the Hittites. We read in Ezekiel 16 that Father took this city as His wife, and also had given it to the Israelites, of course this had already been promised to Abraham'swho was the former occupier of the land in Genesis 15descendants upon their return from their 430 year captivity and bondage to the Egyptians. Sadly, the Israelites could not stop chasing after their idols and false gods whom they learned to worship while in Egypt. This angered Father YHVH to the point that He finally divorced her, (Jeremiah 3) Jerusalem, and caused the Israelites all twelve tribes, House of Israel the ten Northern tribes were taken captive by the Assyrians; and the House of Judah the two tribes comprised of Judah and Benjamin with a sprinkling in of Levi and Manasseh who were taken captive by the Babylonians, to be overrun and the tribes taken captive.

What is Jerusalem and Judaea? Jerusalem is the Capital of Judaea; they are the lands that the Tribe of Judah (one of the original 12 tribes, one of the twelve sons of Joseph, the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham) inhabited when the Israelites came into the Promised Land. Who is in Jerusalem and Judaea today? The tiny Nation of Israel, but not as everybody thinks, for only, as previously stated here, the tribes of Judah and Benjamin with a sprinkling of Levi and Manasseh make up that tiny Nation.

Jerusalem is also the city where Jesus was crucified and ascended to be on the right-hand of Father, Jerusalem is also where Jesus will return (Zechariah 14 and Acts 1) to claim His bride - those that love Him and stay spiritual virgins and don't worship the instead-of-jesus.

So, what Jesus is saying in this verse then, is that, when we see satan standing in Jerusalem claiming that he is Christ, then it is time to flee, not a physical fleeing; but, a Spiritual fleeing, in other words, seek the Word of Father, not man. Everybody will be made to worship satantake the mark of the beastthose who do not will be brow beaten and thrown into prison as; as can be read in Revelation 9:4-5 he and his cronies are not allowed to physically hurt anyone; but, it will be a time of great tribulation for those who do not take his mark but endure to the end.

So, there you have it, this was why He wanted us to "Now Learn the Parable of the Fig Tree."
