     Numeration and Order of Service

In this Book of Numbers we'll see that YHVH is going to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land: - Canaan. We'll also see that YHVH promised that it would be He that would clear out all the obstacles for them, all they had to do was number all the men from the age of 20 and upward so that they will know just how many men they will have for their army, so that they will know how strong they are (number wise), and then move into the Promised Land. But what did the Israelites do? They trusted not in YHVH, so He made them walk in the wilderness for 38 years until all the generation of those that refused to trust and obey Him have died off, for they did not get to see the Promised Land of this age of which it is a type for what it is like in heaven.

We know from the Book of Genesis
that the Fallen angels had come to this age and taken wives for themselves and the offspring of these unions were the giants but, up to this point we haven't heard very much about them, nor have we heard anything about the Israelites encountering them. But, now that they are about to enter into the Promised Land, they will see and encounter them, and, it would have been YHVH that cleared them out for His Children, all they had to do was trust and obey Him.

As we'll see, many things will happen to the Israelites while they wander in the wilderness for 38 years but, YHVH will take care of them, for neither their clothing, nor their shoes wore out, and they had plenty to eat and to drink.

Numbers 1:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,   ->
The children of Israel arrived at the base of Mount Sinai three months after leaving Egypt, so this is 22 months after their arrival and 25 months since leaving their captivity in Egypt. It is the first day of the second month which means they celebrated Passover, the third for them, just two weeks prior to these events taking place.

Numbers 1:2 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, and their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their poles.   ->
Father is telling Moses that they are to take a census of all twelve tribes, every male,  and as we'll see, they'll have to be a certain age.

Numbers 1:3 From twenty years old and up ward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.   ->
They must be twenty years old and upward, able to go to war, meaning: in good health. As we'll see, YHVH is establishing His army and showing the Israelites the number thereof.

Numbers 1:4 And with you there shall be a man from every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.   ->
Moses and Aaron aren't going to number the men alone; YHVH is telling them to take the head of each tribe with them while they number each tribe. This is the second of three numberings that YHVH has commanded. There will in the future be a fourth, by David, not YHVH, which will anger Father.

Numbers 1:5 And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe ofReuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.   ->   YHVH is not going to allow Moses and Aaron to pick the men, nor is He going to allow just anybody, He is going to name the head of each tribe. The order here: the five sons of Leah, the three of Rachel, 1 of 2 of Bilhah's, the two of Zilpah's and then the second of Bilhah's.

Numbers 1:6 Of Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

Numbers 1:7 Of Judah; Nahshon the son of Amminadab.   ->
Nahshon is the seedline to bring forth Christ. As we'll see, he is the father of Salmon who will be the husband of Rahab of Jericho, again proving that she was not/is nota harlot. This also makes him an ancestor to Boaz of Bethlehem.

Numbers 1:8 Of Issachar; Nethaneel the son of Zuar.

Numbers 1:9 Of Zebulun; Eliab the son of Helon.

Numbers 1:10 Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

Numbers 1:11 Of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni.

Numbers 1:12 Of Dan; Ahiezer the son of Amminishaddai.

Numbers 1:13 Of Asher; Pagiel the son of Ocran.

Numbers 1:14 Of Gad; Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

Numbers 1:15 Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan.

Numbers 1:16 These were the renowned of the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel.   ->
These were all the chief men of each tribe and they were to go with Moses and Aaron while they numbered all the men 20 years old and up.

1:17-46 Obedience. Nation

Numbers 1:17 And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names.

Numbers 1:18 And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.   ->
So the same day that YHVH commanded Moses to take the census, they started taking it. How large of an army did the Israelites have? We'll see shortly.

Numbers 1:19 As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.   ->
YHVH commanded it, and Moses made it happen. "In the wilderness of Sinai," to distinguish this numbering from the numbering in the plains of Moab, this will be the third numbering.

Numbers 1:20 And the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, ever male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Numbers 1:21 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.   ->   Not a bad start, it could have and should have been better but, remember back in Genesis 49:3-4 that Reuben lost his dignity. Genesis 49:3 Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power; [49:4] Unstable as water, thou shall not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defilest thou it: he went up to my couch.   ->   This came to pass as we can read of in I Chronicles 5:1Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel; and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.

Numbers 1:22 Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Numbers 1:23 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

Numbers 1:24 Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their father's according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;   ->
Here, Gad takes the place of Levi "the priest line," and as we'll see to keep the tribes at twelve, the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh will be included.

Numbers 1:25 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand and six hundred and fifty.   ->
The tribe of Gad is the only tribe to be numbered in "tens," all the others are numbered in hundreds.

Numbers 1:26 Of the children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, acording to the number of the names, by their polls, every male twenty years old and upward, all that were able ot go forth to war;

Numbers 1:27 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.   ->   Judah's number is greatest. Let's Compare from Genesis 49:8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thine hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.   ->   To have your hand on the neck of your enemies means that you'll have the victory over them. To the line of Judah, YHVH is giving the scepter, the right to rule. [49:9] Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?    ->   The actions of Judah were that of a quick temper, fast reaction, and the first to strikeout. As Judah became older, he became more stable, and when he went in before Joseph, whom he did not know at the time was Joseph; he assumed full responsibility in standing his ground and protecting Benjamin. When Judah ages, and grows into a tribal nation, he will become as an old lion, which will stand his ground, and not be easily moved. Judah will become the seed of the royal line; and it will be from the seed [children] of Judah that Jesus Christ will come. Judah will be the king line of Israel. [49:10] The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from betwen his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto Him shall the gathering of the people be.    ->   "Shiloh" means "the place of rest." The term "unto Him [Christ] shall the gathering of the people be;" is in reference to the coming Messiah. Judah seemed to go crazy when he went to sheer sheep, and during one of these times he married a foreign woman and have three children by her. This was not in YHVH's plan, and against the instructions YHVH gave to the children of Israel, His People, and the wife and two of the children died. It was not to be, for that would allow the pollution of the lineage that the true Messiah would come through. In Matthew 1:3 God gives special attantion to Tamar, and to the twins she bare to Judah, her father-in-law, for in that lineage we have the purity of the lineage of Christ. [49:11] Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:   ->   This is a figure of speech, and in the English translation, it looses the meaning of the Hebrew text. It is the same as saying today "he is so rich that he could bathe in perfume." The juice of grapes during this time was as valuable as of fine perfume is today. The whole expression was pointing to extreme wealth and is not in reference to being a drunkard. [49:12] His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.   ->   The phrase "his eyes shall be red with wine" simply means that he will have plenty while the phrase "his teeth white with milk" is in reference to his flock always being blessed. Also from Ezekiel 21:26 Thus saith the LORD GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low and abase him that is high.   ->   YHVH is saying to remove the robes and the crown from off of Zedekiah for he is no longer worthy to wear them. They may exalt themselves but YHVH won't recognize it. And then from Ezekiel 21:27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn it, and it shall be no more, until He come Whose right it is, and I will give it Him.   ->   The one that is comming is the Rightful King: Jesus Christ. YHVH is saying that He, YHVH, is going to overturn Zedekiah's reign in Jerusalem. Notice He says "overturn" three times for emphasis, and He will give it to "He come Whose right it is," meaning the coming Messiah. We'll also see this below when we come to Numbers 1:34.

Numbers 1:28 Of the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war.

Numbers 1:29 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.

Numbers 1:30 Of the children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able ot go forth to war.

Numbers 1:31 Those that were numbered of them, evenof the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty seven thousand and four hundred.

Numbers 1:32 Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war.   ->   Joseph is the "the fruitful vine" as can be read in Genesis 49:22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:   ->   Remember that Joseph is Jacob's favorite son. Joseph is the one YHVH chose to save all of Egypt and Jacob's (Joseph's father's) household, and he took over the food supply, and stored it up for the seven year famine that followed. Jacob in this verse, is comparing Joseph to a fruitful bough that is planted by a well of water, and as the roots of that bough go deper into the soil to drink up the water, that bough's branches spread out all over the place. Those branches take control of everything. [49:23] The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:   ->   This is directed at the end of this age and Amos addresses this in a prophesy in Amos 6:6 That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.   ->   Those kenites and the nations around Joseph (Manasseh and Ephraim which are the American and British peoples,) will move to dismantle Joseph, and though they are continually on the receiving end of Joseph, they dispise and hate Joseph in their jealously. Through the four hidden dynasties of Econonics (commerse: the banking industry and trade), Education, Politics and Religion the one world system which is daily continues to take shape, they are preparing the world for enslavement to their system and also preparing the world for satan in his role as anti ("instead of" in the Greek) christ which will enslave the whole world. All the world will wonder after him, all those except as noted in Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.   ->   Though the move is on to ensnare the American and British peoples, we still control our own borders and that of our enemies as YHVH had promised we would to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. These promises that YHVH made to our forefathers were passed down to Joseph's two sons as we read about in Genesis 48, these two sons of Joseph carry on the name that Father gave to Joseph's father Jacob and that name is Israel. So long as the American and British peoples continue to love and follow after YHVH, He will continue to bless these two nations however, should they continue as the House of Israel and the House of Judah did and commit  fornication with false gods, these blessings will come to a close. We must fight to continue living as the standards that Father set for us, His People, and not pay any homage to what the heathen think. We continue to see this battle and fight take place in these two nations today. Look at the battle concerning the homosexuals and the current fight over President Obama's nomination of Solicitor General Elana Kagan to the Supreme Court of the United States. The American people had better wake from the slumber they are in or we too will fall like our forefathers did before us. [49:24] But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the Mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the Stone of Israel:)   ->
The strength of both England and the United States is in the ability of their people to stay ahead of the changing times of the world (his bow). And though our enemies (United Nations and others) have moved against us and try and control us from many different avenues: through our Military (look at the attack from the homosexuals - oh they claim "we just want to fight too" but really they have their agenda and it isn't about fighting for America, look also what happened recently with into General McCrystal;) through our Politics (look at the daily attacks on our Father, our Constitution and our way of life;) through our Economy (see the stock market lately, how about our unemployment rates and the price of goods here in the USA;) and also through our Religion (homosexual pastors and sayings like "God's Word isn't the Authority" on homosexuals.) But to date the English and the American peoples have stood together and stood firm, there are a great many people who give different reasons for this strength however, follow the lineage and you will find that we are both Christian nations for a reason - because we are Manasseh and Ephraim - Joseph's offspring. Look at Britian's Monarchy and the first order of business of the king or queen: Protector of the Faith; ever see the Crown Jewels and look closely at their shapes, what they represent and what they are for; ever hear of the "Coronation Stone" that is placed in the base of the throne? How about the United States founding fathers and they way they started this country and what we have done - "In God we trust" on our money, "One Nation under God" in our Pledge of Allegiance.

We must continue to fight for YHVH for He is our strength, He has made these two nations the strongest the world has ever seen. And though there are some within these two nations that desire to follow after the other nations of the world and separate us from our Father and His way of life, His only begotten Son, Jesus, is our Strong Foundation. It is Immanuel - God with us, Jesus, who is The Shepherd of all the flock of His sheep in the age that we are living in today.   [49:25] Even by the GOD of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts and of the womb:   ->   Because of the people's that helped form this nation, and of our founding father's belief in YHVH above, this country has been blessed far beyond any other nation in history. The United States has such an abundance of food that we supply, export and ship much out to the other nations of the world. The "blessings of the breasts and of the womb" in this verse signifies that YHVH will continue to fulfill that promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and make their seed as numerous as the stars of the heavens and the sands of the seas. [49:26] The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of My progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.   ->   After his father had given him the "coat of many colors" and after his dream of the sheaves in Genesis 37:7
Joseph's brothers threw him into the ditch and then when the Ishmaelites came along they sold him to them who then took him to Egypt. Notice how the "blessings of My progenitors" that promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, is passed onto Joseph in this verse and not to either Judah of Levi. Judah and Levi had their own promises from YHVH, Judah would be the seedline through which the kings would come and Levi would be the seedline through which the priesthood would continue. The culmination of these two seedlines would be the bringing forth of Father in the flesh: Immanuel - God with us- Jesus but, the seedline of Joseph was that they would be as numerous as the sands of the sea and that has been fulfilled as we can see by looking at both England and the United States.

Let's return now to the Book of Numbers.

Numbers 1:33 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred.

Numbers 1:34 Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Numbers 1:35 Those that numbered of them, even of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.   ->   This is the smallest number out of all the tribes; why? Genesis 48:17 And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head. [48:18] And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head. [48:19] And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.   ->   Though Jacob, now old and almost blind, yet through YHVH he knew exactly what he was doing, on whose heads his hands were on and who he was blessing. The "multitude of nations" from verse Genesis 48:19 would be better translated a "commonwealth of nations." Because as we look at the United Kingdom today, that is what we see, a commonwealth of nations (states). Why do I say this? because if we were to follow the lineage of the "House of Israel," we would see that after Father sent them into captivity to the Assyrians who later scattered them, we would see that they went up over the Caucus Mountains and formed most of the European Nations of today. The Tribe of Manasseh (United Kingdom,) the older son of Joseph, has as Jacob (Joseph's father) prophesied, became a "great people." You might ask: how do we know this? Because YHVH's prophesies always come to pass as He prophesied. When Jacob and his older brother Esau departed company in Genesis 28, Jacob slept that first night on stones for a pillow, the next day.

The Israelites carried the stone that Abraham used for his pillow in Genesis 28 was carried by him wherever he went and it was passed down to his son and to his son's sons who carried it to Egypt, then into the Promised Land. When the Babylonians captured the House of Judah, the prophet Jeremiah, took that stone with him when he took Zedekiah's daughters with him down into
Egypt,  while the younger brother Ephraim (United States,) has become a greater people.

Numbers 1:36 Of the children of Benjamin, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Numbers 1:37 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.

Numbers 1:38 Of the children of Dan, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Numbers 1:39 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Dan, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.

Numbers 1:40 Of the children of Asher, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Numbers 1:41 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.

Numbers 1:42 Of the children of Naphtali, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Numbers 1:43 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty three thousand and four hundred.

Numbers 1:44 These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the Princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.

Numbers 1:45 So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the housed of their fathers, that were twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;

Numbers 1:46 Even all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred fifty.   ->   A pretty good sized army. There is a difference in this number and the number in Exodus 12:37, which reads six hundred thousand, a difference of three thousand five hundred and fifty. Why the difference? The number of people including those that are now twenty years old and upward has increased since the numbering in Exodus
.

1:47 Exception

Numbers 1:47 But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.   ->   The Levites were not numbered here because they were not to send people to war but, they will be numbered in a census of the entire tribe as we'll read in Numbers 3
.

1:48-53 Command. Levites

Numbers 1:48 For the LORD had spoken to Moses, saying,

Numbers 1:49 Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:

Numbers 1:50 But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.   ->
Tabernacle here in this verse means "habitation of the testimony."

Numbers 1:51 And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
->   This "stranger that cometh nigh" will probably be put to death by YHVH Himself, compare this verse with I Chronicles 13:10And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and He smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.

Numbers 1:52 And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.   ->   See page
179 in the Companion Bible for a diagram of detail.

Numbers 1:53 But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of the testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of the testimony.   ->
"No wrath from God," so that the congregation won't get too close and accidentally touch the tabernacle of the testimony, and then feel the wrath that Uzza will feel in the future.

1:54 Obedience. Levites

Numbers 1:54 And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.
->
YHVH spoke it and here at this point in time, the children of Israel harkened to God exactly as He said.
