1A0I CHRONICLES CHAPTER 17
Before we get too deep into this Study, let’s first look at two very similar yet, different passages which address the same subject: II Samuel 7:1, and the very first verse in this Chapter I Chronicles 17:1, and compare how the two read. II Samuel 7:1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies; and now from I Chronicles 17:1: I Chronicles 17:1 Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, “Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth under curtains.” —> Did you notice the two things which were different about the two passages? First, the different ways that David was addressed, i.e., in II Samuel 7:1 he is addressed as “the king” whereas, in I Chronicles 17:1 he addressed as “David,” and secondly, the omission of the phrase “the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies” from I Chronicles 17:1? The reason for the omission is because, as we’ll discover as we make our way through this Book of the Chronicles, David is still facing his many wars whereas, by the time we got to II Samuel 7:1, David had already fought and won almost all of his battles. Therefore, this author believes that this Chapter is out of sequence and should have been placed after I Chronicles 20 or I Chronicles 21.
With all that being said, let’s come up to speed so to speak as to where we are. Our last Chapter, I Chronicles 16, saw the Ark of Father YHVH brought to Jerusalem and then David delivering a beautiful Psalm to thank Father for His Ark and for His Presence among His Children.
David is having things go very well for him and the Nation of the House of Israel, so well that, he has been able to grow his family; build his palace; and Father has Blessed him in all that he has accomplished. So, now, he has some idle time on his hands and as he’s looking around, he sees Father’s Ark in that fabric tent that he had had erected for It and decides that that fabric tent is no longer suitable, that Father’s Ark ought to be in a more strong structured building and he wants to build a Temple for Father and His Ark, and that is where we find ourselves as we open this Chapter.
With that introduction being said, let’s go to Father and ask Him for His Blessings on our Study of His Word: “Father, we come to you right now to thank you for inviting us to Your table in order that we might be able to partake of and receive Your Spiritual Meat, and Father, as we prepare to dine on the sustenance which sustains our inner man, we ask that You Oh LORD open our ears and eyes, that we might be able to hear and see your Truths, open our hearts and minds and prepare us in order that we may receive Your Truth. We Pray for Your Understanding of Your Word, we seek Your Knowledge in Your Word, and most importantly Father, we Pray for and desire Your Wisdom from Your Word, in Jesus’ Precious name we Pray, thank You Father, Amen.”

17:1 David sitting in his
own house. (Who I am.)
I Chronicles 17:1 Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David (loving; or, well-beloved) (Daw-veedי) said to Nathan (given; or, a giver) (naw-thawnי) the prophet, “Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth under curtains.” —> As I said in my introduction, David is sitting in his opulent palace made of stone and cedar looking around the kingdom and sees all is going well and the Nation is being Blessed by Father YHVH, while Father’s Ark is sitting in that fabric tent he had had erected for It. He decides he wants to do something to be pleasing to Father and he decides he should build Him a permanent structure, a Temple. So, he says to his favorite prophet, Nathan that he should now build a better, more suitable home for Father and His Ark. Who didn’t David seek in his asking? The obvious answer is: Father, the One he wants to build this house for. This was out of character for David because, he usually always thought of seeking Father prior to taking on any new thing. He quickly found out that, like Saul before him, when he left Father out of the equation, he got himself into trouble.
Came to pass=This Chapter along with II Samuel 7, takes it’s place right up there with Genesis 15 for, we find Father giving His Unconditional Covenant with David, to give him the Throne; much as He had given It to Abraham to give him the Land.
David=Again, as I mentioned in my opening introduction, we see the different addresses of David between this verse and that of II Samuel 7:1, where there is addressed as “the king.” The two different addresses are not contradictory but, complementary. The use of the address of “the king” in II Samuel 7:1, showed that he was now dignified in is position.
Ark of the covenant=Note the different titles used of Father’s Ark in His Word, especially in the Books of the Chronicles: It’s The Ark — fifteen times, The Ark of God — twelve times, The Ark of the LORD — four times, The Ark of the Covenant of the LORD — eleven times, The Ark of the covenant of God — once, The Ark of Thy strength — once, The holy Ark — once, and The Ark of our God — once, for a total of forty-six uses. Now, let’s compare the title here, with those of Exodus 25:22 which Dr. Bullinger declares the other seven titles: Ark of the Testimony, Ark of the covenant of YHVH, Ark of Adonai YHVH, Ark of YHVH, Ark of ELOHIM, The holy Ark, and The Ark of Thy strength.
LORD=As used in this verse, this is YHVH—from Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendices: YHVH—Father in His role of being in Covenant relation with those whom He created. In II Samuel 7:1, Father was addressed as God, whereas He was addressed as being in His role of Creator ELOHIM—from Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendices: ELOHIM—with those whom He created. The two different addresses of Father are not contrasting or contradictory but, conciliatory and complimentary.
David=I could spend days discussing David and his life; literally, an entire Book—II Samuel—covered most of what David accomplished as king of Israel. David was a man after Father’s own heart, and though he made a few mistakes, David always tried to please Father in all that he did; therefore, Father loved David; so much so that, He chose David as the Line to bring forth the Branch, The Bright Morning Star, Immanuel\Emmanuel, God in the Flesh: Jesus. Even though Father chose David, it doesn’t mean that David never sinned as, David indeed did sin. He committed adultery with the wife of one of his soldiers; and, then had that soldier murdered by ordering his being put on the front lines of the hottest part of the battle. David was not perfect; however, he was obedient in the end; and, in the end, he left judgment in Father’s hand. All the other kings of Judah and some of the kings of Israel will be judged; or, compared to David; and, the one thing which can always be said of David, is that, not one time had David ever fallen away into idolatry. But, what else can we take away from David? If you sin: repent to Father and then leave the correction and judgment in Father’s hands. † While researching the etymology of the name David we find that most Bible translators and commentator will render the name David as Beloved; but, as always with important names, the etymology of the name David is disputed. However, we can’t help noticing the distinct similarity of this name with the Hebrew root דוד (dwd) that yields דוד (dod), generally meaning beloved. This word is also the Hebrew word for uncle — I Chronicles 27:32, for instance, speaks of דוד־דויד, or “David’s uncle”: The distinct difference between the name דוד (David) and the word דוד (dod) is that in the name David the letter waw counts for a consonant, while in the word dod it counts for a vowel. A consonant and a vowel are completely different entities and they’ll never mean the same, no matter how many times you write them with the same symbol (in this case the waw). If the name was meant to mean Beloved, then it was perhaps given to David after he became king and beloved. In his father’s household he wasn’t much of a hit, after all. But then, if this name was meant to mean Beloved, why hasn’t history given us the tales of King Dod? Harris Archer Waltke (HAW) Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament lists David under dod but admits that “the name is conjectured to come from dod, beloved, but the etymology is uncertain. It has been compared with the Mari term dawidum, Lsquo;leader,’ but this too is unsure.” Brown Driver Briggs (BDB) Theological Dictionary too lists the name David under the derivations of the root dod, but also makes mention of A.H. Sayce’s note of a sun-god named Dodo — דודה — which was worshipped in East-Jordan Israel. Zion, now known as the city of David, was then apparently known as the city of the god Dod. But where Dod went the way of the dodo, king David is eternally remembered as the beloved king. And this is curious for more than one reason. But whatever the reason, Israel’s identity of a Kingdom is associated with a king whose name is not a regular Hebrew word, but which is spelled identical to the word for Beloved, and pronounced completely different. Perhaps, and this is a wild guess, the name Dod was altered to David to charge it with the tone of the word דוה (dawa), meaning infirmity.. † Now from the Strong’s Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H1732, - דּוד, or דּויד, - dâvid, or dâvı̂yd, pronounced - daw-veed’, or daw-veed’ and means: From the same as H1730; loving; David, the youngest son of Jesse: - David. Total KJV occurrences: 1076.. † Now from the Smith’s Bible Dictionary, where we find that the description of David in the Smith’s Bible Dictionary is extensive and too long to post here; so, I’ll instead just post the link to it: David.
Nathan=Nathan was an eminent and distinguished Hebrew prophet during the reigns of both David and his heir apparent, his son, Solomon. † Nathan first appears during the consultation with David about the building of the temple of Father YHVH in II Samuel 7:2-3, 7:17 and I Chronicles 17:1. Sadly and surprisingly, like David, Nathan also chooses not to first seek and consult with Father before he tells David to continue on with his thoughts and plans to build a better home for Father and his Ark; you would have thought at least that, being a Prophet of Fathere, Nathan would have at least told David to seek Father to see if that was what He wanted David to do. When he did not do so, Father came to Nathan that night and told Nathan to tell David that he would not build a House for Father but, that, Father had always been with David and would to continue to be with him, and He would establish his throne and house forever. † Nathan next appears to David to deliver Father’s stinging rebuke of David for his having committed adultery with Bath-sheba, and for then having her husband, Uriah the Hittite sent to the hottest part of the front-lines of a battle against the Philistines in order to be killed—Father considered that murder—Father presented David through Nathan the opportunity to select his own punishment, the child who was birthed by that adulterous would die but, Father would continue to be with David and his house. † It was Nathan who counseled Bath-sheba—when David’s son Adonijah was trying to usurp the throne from Father’s anointed third man king: Solomon—to go to David and have him set Solomon on his ass to show that David had selected and anointed Solomon as Israel’s next king. † Nathan was ever faithful to David and never joined in the rebellion of David’s son(s). † Nathan also wrote history, we know this because, we read in I Chronicles 29:29 and II Chronicles 9:29 that there was a “Book of Nathan.” † The etymology of the name Nathan comes from the verb נתן (natan), to give: The name Nathan doesn’t seem to denote something that is given (as New Open Bible Study Edition [NOBSE] Study Bible Name List suggests with the meaning of Gift), but rather an active form of the verb: He Will Give. Jones’ Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names reads Given.. † Now from the Strong’s Concordance, where we find that it is Hebrew word number: H5416, - נָתָן, - nâthân, pronounced - naw-thawnי, and means: From H5414; given; Nathan, the name of five Israelites: - Nathan. Total KJV occurrences:42.. † Now from the Smith’s Bible Dictionary, where we read: “(a giver). An eminent Hebrew prophet in the reigns of David and Solomon. He first appears in the consultation with David about the building of the temple II Samuel 7:2,3,17 . He next comes forward as the reprover of David for the sin with Bathsheba; and his famous apologue on the rich man and the ewe lamb, which is the only direct example of his prophetic power, shows it to have been of a very high order II Samuel 12:1-12..”
17:2 Nathan’s reply from
himself.
I Chronicles 17:2 Then Nathan said unto David, “Do all that is in thine heart; for God is with thee.” —>
Nathan said=Notice that it was Nathan who replied to David not, Father. This is seldom safe advice. Yes, Nathan is a prophet of Father YHVH; however, he did not identify this reply to David as coming from Father. So, what is wrong with Nathan’s first bit of advice? First of all, Nathan didn’t seek Father, nor did he tell David that he should seek Father’s guidance in the matter as to whether He wanted a house built for Him by David or not. David had already been taught a good lesson by Father when he went against Father’s Will and tried to the tried to move the Ark of the Covenant without first consulting Him and for not following Father’s Law concerning How to Move His Holy Things. That lesson cost the life of Uzziah.
This is just as important today as it was in David’s day, for it doesn’t matter if the man is a preacher, evangelist, or deacon of the church; if the instruction did not come from what Father said, meaning, what is documented in His Word, then it is not from Father; but, from man. Father YHVH certainly was not speaking through this prophet when he—lower case “h”—gave this advice. Remember, the question is again dealing with Father’s Ark, his mercy seat here on earth, and Father has certain requirements dealing with the handling and storing of the Ark of the Covenant. You just don’t go out and put it in any ole building but, David had better seek Father’s advice before he starts the construction. The point is that we do not accept what any man says, including your pastor, unless you first check him out with Father's Word; or you are heading for trouble.

I Chronicles 17:3 And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying, —> The same night=All the Masoretic Texts have a hiatus, marking a solemn pause, after these words, they then all point back to Genesis 15:12-17, thereby connecting the two great unconditional Covenants of which I made mention of in my commentary of verse v17:1 above: Genesis 15:12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. —>
Don’t be frightened or otherwise confused by this phrase “an horror of great darkness. ” In the Hebrew manuscripts is states that a deep sleep or trance came upon Abram, and Father did this to show us that Abram had no part in the sleep or the Covenant process — meaning — The Covenant was by Father YHVH to Abram and was unconditional. Father YHVH was and is the contracting or issuing party, and as such, it comes from YHVH. Genesis 15:13 And He said unto Abram, “Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, (and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them) four hundred years; —> The four hundred years in reality became four hundred thirty years. The difference of the 430 years comes in here: it was 430 to the exodus — Exodus 12:40 from Genesis 12:4, when Abram was 75 years old: it would be 25 years until Isaac’s birth; and now, 5 to his recognition as the Seed, thus equaling 30 years, and then when the Israelites went down into Egypt because of the famine, they were there 400 years bringing to total 430—with all that being said, in reality the captivity was only approximately 215 years: see Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendix 50 VIII—1706B.C. Second year of the famine. Jacob (130) goes down into Egypt. The 215 years of the sojourning in Egypt begin. (Half of the 430 years from Gen 12:4). Thy seed=Isaac and then all Abram’s descendants. Stephen—in Acts 7—gives a wonderful accounting of this incident of Genesis 15 to the counsels. Sharpen up for me, the upcoming verse tells us why Father will send Abram’s descendants down to Egypt. Genesis 15:4 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. —> Father wanted to judge the Egyptians. Why? Because, they were serving other gods — lower case “g.” The gods they were serving, can be seen in the plagues that Father brought upon the Egyptians just prior to the exodus — insects, animals, water, pestilence, etc., there is also another reason, and we’ll read of it when we come to Genesis 15:16. Genesis 15:15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age. —> Father promises Abram a long life, and he fulfills that promise as Abram lived to be 175 years old. Sharpen up for me again as, the next verse is extremely important as to why Father sent them down to Egypt. Genesis 15:16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet full.” —> Father wanted Abram’s descendants — Isaac, Isaac’s son Jacob—later named Israel — The Prince that prevails with God, by Father—and his children — the Israelites out of this land, Canaan — The Promised Land, in order for the Amorites to continue what they were doing — “the iniquity of the Amorites.” What was their iniquity? what is it that they were doing? They was messing with, and mating with, the fallen angels which had come back after the flood of Noah’s time which we can read of in Genesis 6. This mating produced hybrid offspring — the “mighty men” or the gibbor — the giants. The same as Goliath and Og to name two, but there were many more — Goliath’s brother had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. For more references and reading on these fallen angels and their hybrid offspring, follow the links: to Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendix 23 — “The sons of God”, and Appendix 25 — “The nephilim of Genesis 6.” These Amorites were of the Adamic seedline — the seedline through which Father Himself would be born as His Son Emmanuel — God with us — Jesus Christ. Therefore, He was not about to let this mixing continue for too long, just long enough for Abram’s descendants to grow in number and strength, so that He could bring them back to utterly destroy these people and the hybrid offspring. Sadly, most people have no knowledge why Father would tell the Israelites to utterly destroy these people — man, woman and child — but they accept the fact that He said to do so. Genesis 15:17 And it came to pass, that when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. —> Our Father is a consuming fire as Paul tells us in Hebrews 12:29 which reads: Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire. —> Yes, He is that consuming fire that here in this verse, consumed this sacrifice by Abram. He didn’t need to put on a show to make Abram believe, Verse Genesis 15:6 tells us he believed: Genesis 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and He counted it for righteousness.. Unlike in I Kings 18, where Elijah built the altar so that Father could get the People’s attention: I Kings 18:30 And Elijah said unto all the People, “Come near unto me. And all the People came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down. —> What was going on here in this Book, Chapter and verse? Elijah had brought all the House of Israel, including king Ahab and his wife, Jezebel’s baal priests — 400, and prophets — 450, and told these priests to build an altar to baal. See, he challenged these priests of baal to show the people Who is God by building two altars — one to baal and one to Father YHVH, and The God that came down and consumed the Sacrifice by fire — that is God. The baal priests and prophets have already had their opportunity to see if baal would come down and consume their sacrifice, they waited all day, going to many lengths and measures to bring baal down to consume their sacrifice — all to no avail because there is no baal. Now, it was Elijah’s turn to build an altar to Father YHVH. [18:31] And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, “Israel shall be thy name:” —>
One large stone for each of the twelve tribes, even though at this point the two Houses are split — the House Of Israel and the House of Judah. [18:32] And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed. —>
Elijah not only built and altar, he carved a trench or moat around this altar. Why? Let’s see: [18:33] And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, “Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.” —> Elijah carved the moat to allow the baal priests and prophets to pour water onto the altar; the wood; the sacrifice; and that water flowed into the moat. Remember, all the People are standing around watching this whole scene. Four barrels — Four in Biblical numerics is the number for earth. [18:34] And he said, “Do it the second time.” And they did it the second time. And he said, “Do it the third time.” And they did it the third time. —>
Three times they poured four barrels of water onto the altar to Father YHVH. Twelve barrels of water, like the stones, one for each tribe. [18:35] And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water. —>
After pouring twelve barrels of water onto the altar and sacrifice, Elijah now tells them to also fill the trench with water. There is so much water on this altar and in the moat that, even if they had a blowtorch back then, this would not ignite. Elijah is doing this to prove Who is God and how powerful He is, all by Father’s design to get their attention so that they will know that “I am God,” and to stop worshiping false gods. [18:36] And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, “LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that Thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at Thy word. —> Elijah followed Father YHVH’S commandment to the letter, he called the People, the baal priests and prophets, he told them to build their altar to baal and set the sacrifice out, and allowed all day long for baal to come and consume the sacrifice to baal — to no avail. Now, YHVH, Your altar is built, the stones laid, the wood laid, the sacrifice set, and as per Your instructions, water even poured onto the altar and into the moat. Show the people that You are YHVH — The Covenant God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, ELOHIM — The Creator of all and all things. [18:37] Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this People may know that Thou art the LORD God, and that Thou hast turned their heart back again.” —> Show these non-believers that You and You alone are YHVH so that they might return to Love, Honor, Serve and Worship You. [18:38] Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. —>
Again, our Father is a consuming fire! He consumed everything that was about that altar, the stones, the wood, the sacrifice, even the water and the dust of the ground — all of it gone. [18:39] And when all the People saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, “The LORD, He is the God; the LORD, He is the God.” —> This is what Father wants, and wants to hear and see — YHVH, He is ELOHIM: His children — His creation, Loving and Worshiping Him.

17:4 YHVH’s House. “Thou
shalt not build.”
I Chronicles 17:4 Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, “Thou shalt not build Me an house to dwell in: —> The answer by Father to Nathan in this verse contrasts with how he answered him in II Samuel 7:5 where we read that Father phrased Hie response in the form of a question, let’s turn there and read it: II Samuel 7:5 “Go and tell my servant David, ‘Thus saith the LORD, ‘Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in? —> First off brethren, remember the major difference between the two Books: Samuel was written from man’s point of view whereas, Chronicles was written from Father’s point of view. With that being said, we see that, after Nathan gave his personal opinion to David, more-or-less telling him that Father has been Blessing all that he does therefore, he might as well go ahead and build a permanent structure for Father’s Ark as, surely Father will Bless that as well. However, Father then appears to Nathan that night and delivers a sounding rebuke of both his reply to David and David’s thoughts of building that permanent structure. Though He is He is rebuking both here, here in a moment, we’ll see the reason, and it’s for good, not bad as, we’ll see that Father is going to establish David’s throne and his house.
My servant=Note and pay attention to the repetitious use of this phrase of David by Father throughout this chapter, it aligns and coincides with II Samuel 7.
17:5 Father YHVH’S
condescension.
I Chronicles 17:5 For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another. —> Father continues in His chastising of David by saying, — I have chosen the place where I choose to dwell with My Children; who do you think you are David, to try and say where I will dwell? Do you not realize that, at any time since I brought My Children, your forefathers, up out of their bondage to the Egyptians, I could have had them make a house for me? More importantly, do you not understand that I AM ELOHIM, Creator of ALL THINGS, do you not understand that at any time, I could have built a house for Myself, after all, I created all the worlds.
Take this to the Spiritual level brethren; it doesn’t matter how many good ideas you may have to start your own ministry; to build a church; or do any other good work for Father; if Father did not lead you into it, it will fail. Seek Father through the instructions in His Word, then go to Him and ask Him for instruction. You may have excellent thoughts and ideas but, do those thought or ideas conform to Father’s plan, and His instructions within His Word? When Father says something, that is the way it is going to come to pass, and we are to pray that His Will be done in all that we do or plan. As we’re reading here in I Chronicles 17 and as we read in II Samuel 7, Father let David know that a tent was good enough for Him. As Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:34-35, we know that heaven is Father’s throne, and the earth is His footstool. You don’t build a house for Father, as is evidenced by Father rebuking David here in II Samuel 7:5-7, if He wants one built He’ll let you know He wants you to build one for Him.
Man’s mind and imaginations change with the times, in order to adapt to what seems right to him at the time however, Father and His Word never change — He and It are the same today, just as they were back in the First Earth Age, and as He will be in the eternity following the Great White Throne Judgment. So, we had better learn right now to pay attention to those things which Father says, and separate them from those things that man speaks from his mind.
17:6 Father YHVH’S
condescension.
I Chronicles 17:6 Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed My people, saying, ‘Why have ye not built Me an house of cedars?’ ’ ’ —> Father never once asked any of His children to build Him a permanent structure. You could almost take this chastising and rebuking to the point of Father telling David, “you want to build Me a house? Fine, then you first create the trees, the stone and an earth to build it upon, after you have created all of those things first, then, and only then can you can build Me a house.”
Judges of Israel=Compare this against II Samuel 7:7 where it reads “tribes of Israel.” Father had commanded His judges, kings and tribes to “feed His People,” and that is what ministries are to do today — feed His Children but, sadly, far too many preachers are in it for themselves, and they’re in it to get rich, think I’m being smart or joking? Check out the houses of some of them tele-Evangelist Lifestyles. Father wants His Children fed, fed His Word not, man’s customs, denominational doctrines, dogmas or traditions. How should we feed Father’s Children? Verse–by–Verse, Chapter–by–Chapter, and Book–by–Book, this was His Children get the Spiritual Nourishment the inner-,,an requires, and, it goes right along with what He Desires as He tells us in Hosea 6:6 which reads: Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy (love), and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.. Do you recall what Jesus told Peter in John 21? John 21:15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me more than these?” He saith unto Him, “Yea, Lord; Thou knowest that I love Thee.” He saith unto him, “Feed my lambs.” [21:16] He saith to him again the second time, “Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me?” He saith unto him, “Yea, Lord; Thou knowest that I love Thee.” He saith unto him, “Feed my sheep.” [21:17] He saith unto him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me?” Peter was grieved because He said unto him the third time, “Lovest thou Me?” And he said unto him, “Lord, Thou knowest all things; Thou knowest that I love Thee.” Jesus saith unto him, “Feed my sheep.” —>
The three feedings Jesus was trying to convey to Peter and us was this: Feed the babes, both the young in the world and those young in Father’s Word, those who don’t know Him or comprehend what it is that He desires, in other words, teach them Salvation and how to obtain Salvation — through Jesus Christ; Once the babes and the young have the Salvation message, then it is time to mature a little and feed them the knowledge of Father and get a little deeper into the truths of His Word in order that they then may be able to teach both the Salvation message to the lambs and some of the easier truths to the young; then, after they have a little knowledge and truth, then it is time to plow deep and get into the deeper truths. What is the result of not doing so? Paul tells and teaches us in Hebrews 5: Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. [5:13] For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. [5:14] But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. —> What about you brethren? Are you still a babe and sup on the pablum or, do you dine on some of the meat, or do you dine on the Strong Meat?

17:7 Father YHVH’s
election.
I Chronicles 17:7 Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto My servant David, ‘Thus saith the LORD of hosts, ‘I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over My people Israel: —>
LORD of hosts=This is Father in His role as YHVH tsâbâי, one of Father’s Titles and it means, LORD of all hosts or armies of all the earth.
I Took=It was Father Who had Samuel go to David’s father Jesse, who presented all his sons before Samuel, so that Samuel could choose and select that shepherd boy David from his brothers, in order to anoint him as the next—the second—man king of Israel. As we see in this, it is Father Who chooses each of us to fulfill His roles, much the way Father told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:5 that it was He Who chose him before He formed him in his mother’s belly, and while he was growing in his mother’s womb, Father anointed and ordained him to be a prophet for Father.
17:8 Father YHVH’s
protection.
I Chronicles 17:8 And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth. —>
Cut off=Father allowed David to get the credit for his slaying of tens of thousands of Philistines, heck, Father even allowed him to get the credit for slaying the giant Goliath however, it was Father Who deserved the credit because, as He states here, it was He Who gave David his victories over each and every one of his enemies. Remember what Father told David in II Samuel 5:23-24 and I Chronicles 14:14-15? When you hear Me move My army by the shaking of the mulberry trees overhead, then is the time for you charge forth. Father set the enemy running and David did the mopping up. If you stop and look back in your own life, you too will see how Father was there all along moving in your life also, and that is what He is telling David here, to stop and look back at the things which I have done for you already, and this should give you confidence in His faithfulness to you now.
David himself knows that on the day he took on the giant Goliath, his courage came from Father as he had put his trust in Him, he even declared so on that day as we read in I Samuel 17:46 which reads: I Samuel 17:46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. —> At the end of David’s declaration to Goliath that he will have the victory over him, we find the reason — so all the earth will know that Israel serves Father YHVH, and that He protects us.
Father made David and the Nation of the House of Israel, the most powerful Nation on the face of the earth. Israel, with David and then his son Solomon as king, either geographically owned or controlled, and had influence over a large part of the world, or at least what we today know as the “middle East.”
17:9 Father YHVH’S
promise.
I Chronicles 17:9 Also I will ordain a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning, —> This declaration is actually a covenant by Father, and He would have upheld His end of the covenant, if Israel had remained true and faithful, and served Him only. But, man is man, and man falls short, and the nation of Israel just like their first man king: Saul, turned from serving Father YHVH only, and served the gods of the all nations all around them, and because of it, Father plucked them up; first the House of Israel — the ten northern tribes, by the Assyrians, and then the House of Judah — the tribes of Judah, Benjamin and a sprinkling of Manasseh and Levites, by the Babylonians. The Assyrians held the House of Israel captive until Father had the Assyrians scatter them to the four corners of the earth; the Babylonians held the House of Judah captive only for seventy years, and then Father raised up Darius who allowed them to return to Jerusalem in order to rebuild it.
Even in our current Generation 1948-present, in 1948 Father gave the Nation of Israel, through the UN, her own land which she still resides in today, and when her enemies which surrounded her and were encompassing her to retake her lands, Father gave her a grand victory over all her enemies, in 6 days she totally defeated each one who was coming against her. But, just like in the past, as time wore on, she turned and served other gods and now she again is faced with an enemy who is closing in on her. This is no different than we here in the USA — part of the scattered tribes of Israel, we too Father planted and made the greatest Nation on all the earth, and we were great until we too turned—once again—from serving Father only, in order to serve other false gods, and now we too have fallen. Today, 2018, our enemy isn’t from without this country but, from within — our congress and senate and the democrat party and people are trying as hard as thy can to bring this Country to it’s knees by making it part of the One World System. Don’t get me wrong, I want Father’s Word to come to pass exectly as He Wrote It however, that doesn’t mean we try to further His Plan as, we are to do what is righteous in His eyes, not further the negative part of His Plan.
This is also prophesy as, it not only applied to this Age but, it looks forward to the Millennium age, that time when Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, God with us, is here on earth dwelling with us. This takes place after the second advent. Look around you today, there is plenty of wickedness in the world today. If there is any wickedness around you, Christ has not yet returned. The key to understanding what is being said here is, in the “key of David,” it is that Jesus shall come through David’s loins. Father took David from the tending sheep in the sheepcote, and made him king. Then, through that removing of those kingly garments, and putting on the robe of humility, David demonstrated the work of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
What else does the “Key of David” provide us with? As can be read in both Revelation 2:8-11 and 3:7-13, while discussing the only two churches—Philadelphia and Smyrna—that He—Jesus—found no fault with, He tells us what is was that they taught as to why He found no fault in them. It wasn’t because of their name, nor because of their location but, because of the doctrine which they held fast to, and in that doctrine was, what they were teaching: Revelation 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; ‘These things saith the First and the Last, Which was dead, and is alive; [2:9] I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of satan., and now from Revelation 3: Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. —> Who are these who make this claim that they are “Jews”? Really, if what they spoke were true; they would be identified as Israelites, and not Jews but, you have to understand Father’s Word as, He is referencing what they called themselves in the New Testament and in reality they mixed in—and Jesus knows this—during Joshua’s day as can be read in Joshua 9, Ezra 8:15 and Nehemiah 7, we’ll read it from Ezra 8:15: Ezra 8:15 And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and we abode in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi. —>
As Ezra and the people who were with him who were returning to Jerusalem after being in Babylonian captivity for the past seventy years were gathered at the River Ahava, Ezra looked out over all those who were with him and saw those who “claimed to be of the sons of Levi” — in other words, those who claimed to be the priests but, he quickly realized that though they claimed they were the priests, none of them were Levites, they were all the nethinims, who had taken over the priesthood because the Levites had become lazy. It was these same nethinims—actually their offspring—who were in charge of the church during Jesus’ days, that was why He contended with them, and they had it set in their heart to—and did—kill Him. It was these nethinims that He warned John and us of in Revelation 2:9 and 3:9. It’s funny in a non humorous way because, most Christians don’t even recognize that those who Jesus was contending with — the priesthood, claimed they were “the Jews,” when, in reality, it wasn’t the “Jews” who were supposed to be in charge of the priesthood, it was the Levites who were the only ones who were supposed to be the priests of Father YHVH. But, again, if Christians truly took the time to Study Father’s Word, they just might learn something. If they truly Studied Father’s Word they might know that He tried showing and teaching this to them in both the Old and New Testaments, we can read of them in the Old Testament in Jeremiah 24 and Jeremiah 35, and in the New Testament in Matthew 13:34-43.
17:10 Father YHVH’S
promise.
I Chronicles 17:10 And since the time that I commanded judges to be over My People Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house. —> The LORD will build thee an house=Here is the Wonderful Promise and the Covenant of the future for those who do righteous. In verse v17:13 below we’ll read of Father’s declaration which ties this all together.
Focus on the spiritual side of this verse for, this house is made up of believers. The house that father was speaking of here, is the house spoken of by Jesus in John 2 which reads: John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” —> It is the body of Christ, through David: Again, that is part of “The key of David.” Father has a plan, and when we try to stay with His plan, we are being pleasing to Him.
17:11-14 Father YHVH’S
House. “He shall build.”
I Chronicles 17:11 And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers (in other words, when David dies and returns Home to Father and his flesh father), that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. —> Again, this is a Promise by Father and it is two-fold as, though it is in reference to Solomon who will be the next man king to rule the kingdom of Israel, it is really directed toward Nathan from whose seed will come Father in the flesh. Neither Solomon’s Temple nor his kingdom lasted forever but, Nathan’s seed-line brought Jesus into the Flesh Age and His Kingdom will last for all eternity.
I Chronicles 17:12 He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. ★ —> ★=Ninety-nine percent of all Biblical Scholars agree that the star at the end of this verse indicates that this verse is in direct reference to the Promised Messiah. Again, it was Nathan whose seed-line was established for Immanuel—Emmanuel in the Greek language, which translated, as we read in Matthew 1:23 means: Matthew 1:23 “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.—to become flesh, and this was fulfilled when Father's Holy Spirit came upon Mary and impregnated her, nine months later, Father became flesh as His Only Begotten Son: Jesus Christ. It is this line, the line of Saviour, The Messiah which is established forever — LORD of lords and KING of kings — Kingdom without end. AMEN.
He shall build an house for My name=It was Solomon who was the royal seedline and built the Temple in Jerusalem for all to come and worship Father in. This seedline is still active today in Great Brittan for, as can be read in The Book of Jeremiah, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had taken the House of Judah captive, there was a remnant left in Judah who came to Jeremiah the Prophet seeking to know what Father wanted them to do: — stay there and serve the king of Babylon or, flee to Egypt. Two things to remember: (1) Father already told them to go into captivity and it would be well with them, and (2) Many hundreds of years previous, Father had told Moses and then many others to never again go back into Egypt so, this question by these captains is for naught well, let’s just read it in Jeremiah 42 which reads: Jeremiah 42:1 Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near, [42:2] And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, “Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:) [42:3] That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.” —>
All these who are left in Judah, all they had to do was stay there, raise up their families, their crops and what-have-you, and everything would have been just fine for them but, no, they couldn’t do that! The problem was that they wanted to continue serving the false gods they were serving, which is why Father sent Nebuchadnezzar in the first place. So, what did these do when Jeremiah told them that Father said to not go into Egypt? Turn over a Chapter with me to Jeremiah 43: Jeremiah 43:1 And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the People all the words of the LORD their God, for which the LORD their God had sent him to them, even all these words, [43:2] Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, “Thou speakest falsely: the LORD our God hath not sent thee to say, ‘Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:’ [43:3] But Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon.” —> They didn’t believe Father Who spoke through Jeremiah warning them not to go into Egypt. What happened next? [43:4] So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah. [43:5] But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah; [43:6] Even men, and women, and children, and the king's daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah. [43:7] So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: thus came they even to Tahpanhes. —> So, they took all their People, including Jeremiah and the king’s—Zedehiah’s—daughters (3)—Scota or, Teia Tephi, and her two unnamed sisters who remained in Egypt and died there when Nebuchadnezzar came and besieged it—and disobeying Father, left Judah for Egypt. What happened then? Again, turn over one Chapter with me to continue reading in Jeremiah 44: Jeremiah 44:26 Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that My name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, ‘The Lord GOD liveth.’ [44:27] Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them. [44:28] Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs. —> Jeremiah and the daughters of Zedekiah—the last king of the House of Judah—went down to Egypt with the rest of the People. Then, as we read, they—Jeremiah and Scota—were part of that small number who returned to Judah. The Biblical story ends here however, the historical story then picks up, and we find that Jeremiah then took that lone daughter—Scota (Tea Tephi)—to Ireland. Did you know that there is a royal family that is here on earth today that can trace its lineage all the way to back to David? I am referring of course to lineage of the kings and queens that rule over England today. This information is common, and the lineage of England goes back through king James who reined in Scotland, and back through the Irish king line. It was from when Jeremiah that brought Scota from Jerusalem through Egypt, back to Judah and then on to Ireland, where she married king Eremhon-Heremon, and the lineage of David now continues to the royal line of today. Father gave this prophecy to Ezekiel in Ezekiel 21:26-27, and Jeremiah was the prophet that Father used to do the overturning of the kingdoms. Turn with me to Ezekiel 21: Ezekiel 21:26 Thus saith the Lord GOD; “Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. —> Father was saying to remove the crown and robes from off Zedekiah because, Zedekiah had exalted himself, and now Father was going to bring him back down from off of his “high horse” and humble him. [21:27] I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until He come Whose right it is; and I will give it Him.” —>
Overturn it, overturn it, overturn it=Three times for strong emphasis. Father was so fed up with Zedekiah and Israel’s whoredoms, worshiping false gods and idols, and then locking up His prophet—Jeremiah—which He had sent to warn Zedekiah about the coming of Nebuchadnezzar and his army to take Israel into captivity, that, He had had enough and was going to use Zedekiah as the last king of the House of Judah. Zedekiah was indeed the last king of Judah, there has not since he sat on the throne, been another but, that doesn’t mean the line ended there because, this also concerns the history dealing with “Jacob’s Stone,” otherwise known as the “Stone of Scone,” which was carried by Jeremiah, along with Scota to Ireland. That stone was the stone Jacob had laid his head upon and became known as “Jacob’s pillar,” and Father said that pillar was the gateway between heaven and earth as is recorded in Genesis 28 which reads: Genesis 28:11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. —> Jacob was returning from his uncle Laban’s along with his wives and sons —the twelve patriarchs who made up the House of Israel—and he had sent them on ahead of himself to greet his brother Esau. Jacob in the meantime stopped for the night and gathered some stones to use as a pillow for his head. One of these stones Jacob took with him, and has been carried through the wilderness by the Israelites, and held through many centuries. It is the stone that all the kings of Israel had been crowned upon, and today it goes by several different names: — Jacob’s Pillar; the Stone of Scone; the Stone of Destiny; and/or the Coronation Stone. It sat for many years in Westminster Abby in England but, has since—Nov 1996—been returned to Scotland and sits in Edinburgh Castle. Both Scots and the Kings and Queens of England have been crowned upon this stone. It is the stone that Queen Elizabeth II was crowned upon, and her heir will also be crowned upon “Jacob’s pillar.” [28:12] And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven, and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. —>
The ability to see this ascending and descending was conditional on the repentance of the nation yet, this time will still be seen. What it is saying is that, Jesus Christ is the link between heaven and earth. It is by and through Jesus that the angels descend and ascend. Jesus is the link between Father and man for, Jesus is the tabernacle for man, to allow Father to commune with man. Jesus also referred to this ladder in the gospel of John: John 1:51 And He saith unto him, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.” —>
It is the windows of heaven which open, and the angels who come and go from Father’s throne are to the service of Jesus Christ. [28:13] And behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, “I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; [28:14] And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy see shall all the families of the earth be blessed. [28:15] And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.” —> That stone pillow became the pillar which was the gateway to heaven in Jacob’s vision and, in that vision Father revealed to Jacob that through his seed all the blessings of Abraham’s Covenant would be passed. This stone or “pillar” was then—as I said a minute ago—carried by Jacob wherever he went in order to mark that promise which Father had given to him, and it is this same stone which has been passed from Jerusalem to Ireland, then to Scotland and on to England, and now back again in Scotland where every king and queen that has been crowned over that stone. David was also given this vision through Nathan the Prophet, that this promise was to pass through his seed, and we know that the spiritual seed is in Jesus Christ. It is in Jesus that all the world that comes to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus will be blessed. It is also through the House of Israel that all the nations of the world would be blessed. Those ten tribes were scattered by the Assyrians seven centuries before the birth of Jesus and have become the Christian nations of today. It is through these nations of the seed of Jacob that the entire world is blessed. It was not until King James IV of Scotland who became King James I of England; that the Bible was allowed to be read in each home. King James I decreed that a copy of the Bible would be in every home. The king decreed that Father’ Word be read and understood by all his subjects, and from that decree gave us the Bible which we have today. There was a very important letter that the king wrote to his subjects in the front of the King James 1611 Version Bible 1611, that letter tells us how and why the Bible was to be given to each person of his subjects. This decree was given so that you do not have to go through any man to go to Father, and you now have the right to understand what God the Almighty Father wants you to know and do. Today, we have Concordances, numbered to Greek and Hebrew dictionaries, in order to give us the accurate information as to what is in Father’s letter to you, in and from the manuscripts, and that is why we must all learn to use those tools of understanding. Our Father is the God of the living, and not the dead. He is the Creator of all souls, and the living souls are those souls which are in Jesus Christ, and did things Father’s way. Yes, even those who lived during the Old Testament times. It will be through Jacob’s family that Jesus will be born, and it is through Jesus that we receive every one of our blessings. It is through Jesus that the souls of all mankind can receive eternal life of the soul. Jesus is the only ladder by which all mankind can ascend to the throne of our Father, and His name is the authority for our approaching that throne in repentance. This verse is also in reference to Jacob’s sons become many nations scattered around the world, in geographic locations that would be a wealth to their peoples. This promise is to Jacob and all the generations that followed him, right up to our present generation. It is not just for the tiny parcel of land called Israel of today but, to all the migrations of the offshoot generations that sprang forth from Jacob. Father’s Promises were for those ten tribes that came through the Caucasus Mountains in the seventh century B.C. and migrated westward to settle throughout Europe, and later moved on to the Americas. They became known as “Caucasians” — a race of “white people” by tradition, however this term is in reference to the event of migration of the “House of Israel,” the so called “lost house of Israel.” This promise that Father is giving to Jacob also includes the “House of Judah,” which includes the Tribes of Judah and Benjamin, and part of the Tribe of Levi which was scattered throughout all the other tribes. So, here we see Father presenting himself to simple Jacob, sleeping on his rock pile, and revealing to him what he will be in the distant future. Why would He choose Jacob for this blessing? Because, he obeyed his mother and father, and unlike his brother Esau, he did not marry from the daughters of the Hittites, but most importantly of all, he obeyed ELOAH—from Dr. Bullinger’s Companion Bible Appendices: ELOAH—the One and Only True Living God Who stands in contrast to inanimate idols and false gods.
I Chronicles 17:13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take My mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: —> Here, this verse differs from “man’s point of view” as, as we read in II Samuel 7 the entirety of the words are separated and broken into two verses. Let’s turn there and read it for ourselves: II Samuel 7:14 I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: —>
He shall be my son=We read of Paul quoting this verse in Hebrews 1:5 which reads: Hebrews 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, “Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten Thee?” And again, “I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son”? —> Begotten Thee=It was Father Who brought Thee—our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Father’s Only Begotten Son—i.e., at resurrection, when the Son became the Glorified Federal Head of a new order of beings. This of course is also quoted from Psalms 2 which reads: Psalms 2:6 Yet have I set My king upon My holy hill of Zion. [2:7] I will declare the decree: The LORD hath said unto Me, “Thou art My Son; This day have I begotten Thee. —> Beginning in verse v2:4, Father began speaking in reply to the heathen saying that they would break Father’s bonds. In verse v2:5, He said that He would vex the heathen, He continued into verse v2:6 where He declared that He set His King upon His Holy Hill. We know this is True for several reasons: (1) He is Father and He doesn’t lie; (2) His Word backs His claim up as can be read in Matthew 3:16, Mark 1:10 and Luke 3:22 which reads: Luke 3:22 And the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, “Thou art My beloved Son; in Thee I am well pleased.” —> We can also read from Paul telling us this in Acts 13:33 which reads: Acts 13:33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that He hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second Psalm, ‘Thou art My Son, this day I have begotten Thee.’ —> Where we know Father is speaking of Jesus and no other. If he commit iniquity=Of course, our Lord Jesus never committed any iniquity so, this verse is directed at Solomon who did commit much iniquity in his life by his worshiping the false gods and idols of his many wives. It was because of Solomon’s iniquity that Father divided the Nation of the House of Israel into two separate Houses. Not only did our Lord Jesus not have any iniquity but, as is declared in Isaiah 53, He took the stripes in order that we get the healing from our sins: Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. [53:4] Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. [53:5] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.. II Samuel 7:15 But My mercy (loving kindness) shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. —> Father’s love for His Son will never be removed from His Son. Why? Because, you cannot remove the love for oneself. Sadly, too many Christians believe—because they have been falsely taught—that Father did indeed remove His love from Jesus, or at least Jesus thought He did. How or why do I make this claim? Because, many Christians have been taught that as Jesus hung on that cross dying, He stated in Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:34 ...“Eloi, eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is, being interpreted, “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?” —> What they fail to realize in their misinterpretation of Father’s Word though, is, that, Jesus was teaching us while He was dying on that cross, in other words, He was quoting and reciting the entire Psalm: Psalms 22, in which David starts with the phrase “My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?.” Unlike our Lord Who will never be rejected by Father, Saul on the other hand, was rejected as the first man king of Israel by our Father because of his disobedience and rejecting of Father and His Word. On more than one occasion did Father give Samuel guidance to give to Saul in what he should do, and in just about every one of those cases, Saul did just the opposite. Saul never sought out Father such as he sought out the witch of Endor — with his whole heart.
I Chronicles 17:14 But I will settle him in Mine house and in My kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.’ ’ ” —>
My...Mine=We read in the parallel chapter to this: II Samuel 7:16 that, there, Father had had man write “thy and thine” because, the kingdom was David’s as, Father had given it as a gift to him.
House ... kingdom=This is not speaking of a “building,” it is in reference to the many membered body of Jesus, the same One He spoke of when contending with the “Jews” in The Gospel of John saying: John 2:18 Then answered the Jews and said unto Him, “What sign shewest Thou unto us, seeing that Thou doest these things?” [2:19] Jesus answered and said unto them, “Destroy this Temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” [2:20] Then said the Jews, “Forty and six years was this Temple in building, and wilt Thou rear it up in three days?” [2:21] But He spake of the Temple of His body. —> Yes His flesh body but, He was also referring to His many membered body which is called “the church,” or “believers.”
Established for evermore=This is a Covenant that Father had made with David, it is a Covenant of Salt—Covenant of Salt=this is the origin from which we today have our saying that somebody is “worth their salt” and during this time, salt was a commodity as it was scarce and precious, it was also used as a means for payment of wages due a worker. Since salt is food, when it as a wage was paid and eaten, it was then considered as solemnizing the inviolable covenant—which Father gave to him concerning his Descendant — The True David — Jesus Christ. There are three separate and distinct subjects being spoken of here which are all tied together: “the house;” “the kingdom” and “the throne.” From the time that David was anointed as the second man king of Israel, all three of these things have been in existence and, their existence will continue until this earth age is over. Why? Because, Father established them, and He protects them. At the end of this Age, then during the Millennium and the Eternity, Jesus will be the King Who rules over the House, the Kingdom and the Throne.
17:15 Message delivered.
I Chronicles 17:15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David. —> Remember, as we read here, these words were not Nathan’s own personal thoughts or visions, they were given to him by Father, and, he chronicled them exactly as Father revealed them to him. Though David had meant well with his thought of building an house for Father’s Ark of the Covenant, his idea was not in accordance with Father’s plan, nor His desires. The lesson here though again, is that we should always seek instruction from Father first, in any and matters which pertain to Him. What do He tell us in Matthew 7? Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: [7:8] For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. —>
Remember, prior to this, every time David was wanting to do something for Father, in every other matter he had always sought Father first; now he disregarded Him on an important issue.
17:16-27 David sitting
before Father YHVH.
(Introversion.)
17:16-27 David’s prayer.
17:16 Self: abased. David’s
Person.
What we’ll see in verses v17:16-27 is a Prayer by David in which he gives Thanks to Father for His Promise. We’ll also see a mature side in him and we’ll see him humble himself before Father. These promises by Father are very deep, and David, like us, concerning Father’s Promise to us, David wonders whether he’s worthy to be on the receiving end of them. Brethren, none of us are worthy, for we all fall short of the glory of Father however, it isn’t whether we’re worthy or not, the fact of the matter is, is that Jesus was and is worthy, and that is what makes Father’s Grace so wonderful to us — if we accept.
I Chronicles 17:16 And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, “Who am I, O LORD God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto? —> David came and sat before Father, this is quite a change and very different from verse v17:1 where David sat alone in his house wondering what he should do next, and then came to the conclusion that he should build a house for Father’s Ark.
After Nathan finished telling David all that Father had shown him, and the Grace that Father had bestowed upon him, David then goes very humbly before Father YHVH — Father’s Grace can be just that — humbling. But, David begins his Prayer to Father and the first thing he asks is “who am I” that I have found favor in Your eyes to be so Blessed? Stop and think for a moment brethren just what this promise to David meant. It means that his children will always be a royal house and have a throne to sit upon. There will always be a nation and nations to governv and it will be David’s offspring who will sit on those thrones. As I pointed out earlier, when you trace the thrones of all the kings of Europe back in their lineage, they all come from the seed of David.
17:17 Revelation. David’s
person.
I Chronicles 17:17 And yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for Thou hast also spoken of Thy servant’s house for a great while to come (i.e., forever, in other words, for all eternity), and hast regarded me (been mindful of) according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God. —> Estate=
Get out your Strong’s Concordance or open up E-Sword on your computer and checkout this word “estate.” We find that it is Hebrew word number: H8448, - תּוֹר, - tôr, pronounced - tore, and means: Probably the same as H8447; a manner; (as a sort of turn): - estate. Total KJV occurrences: 1.. When we compare this verse and how it reads with it’s parallel verse of II Samuel 7:19 which reads: II Samuel 7:19 And this was yet a small thing in Thy sight, O Lord GOD; but Thou hast spoken also of Thy servant’s house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD? —> We find a similar and familiar word: “manner.” Looking up the word manner in the Strong’ Concordance, we find that it is Hebrew word number: H8452, - תּוֹרָה, - tôrâh, pronounced - to-rawי, and means: Probably feminine of H8448; a custom; - manner. total KJV occurrences: 4.. So, what David is asking, and what the verse should read is: “is this the law of man O Father YHVH?” Did you notice the word “torah?” The same name as the first five Books in Father’s Word are called, the Books of Moses, or the Books of the Law.
Man=The word “man” in the phrase “...the estate of a man of high degree...” In the Hebrew manuscripts this is hâ-'âdâm — “The Man Adam” of both Genesis 2 — meaning the man of the eighth-day creation — the lineage that Father would come through, and Psalms 8:5,6 — Who is to have dominion over all the earth, embracing all the world in the scope of this blessing in connection with the Messiah. This is an exclamation of the greatest surprise and wonder of this revelation concerning David’s son and David’s Lord. So, David now realizes that the promised Messiah would come through his seedline. This “Man” spoken of here is different than the “man” spoken of in verse v17:9 above, that man has iniquity and sin in his life. We are reading of blood lines which were to remain pure down through the many generations — from Adam to Noah, for up to Noah’s time, all the adamic people save for Noah — his wife and sons, and their wives, had polluted the seedline by the mixing with the fallen angels sent by Father’s adversary: satan in order to destroy that lineage that the Promised Messiah would come through. That promise was given way back in Genesis 3:15, and satan knew exactly what Father was telling Eve in that verse. It meant that Jesus would come and pay the price; that would seal his — satan’s—doom and destruction at the cross. Let’s read it: Genesis 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: —> Because thou hast done this thou art cursed...=Done what? Sadly, most churches falsely teach that satan “gave Adam and Eve an apple to eat” or “tempted” Adam and Eve and caused them to sin? What did satan actually do to deserve SUCH A HARSH PUNISHMENT? Think about long and hard about this brethren, it could not have been that he tempted them and caused them to fall. Why not? (1) Because look at the temptation he put upon Job — Satan told Father that if Father would remove the wall of protection around Job and his family, then Job would curse Him, which he did not. But, in any case, Father allowed satan to tempt Job without satan receiving such harsh punishment; (2) what about satan’s attempting to tempt Jesus in Matthew 4 and Luke 4? Again, satan attempted to tempt Jesus, and Father did NOT punish him nearly as harshly as He punished him here in Genesis 3. So, just what was it that caused Father to punish him so harshly? And, just what is this “judgment?” Does it mean and will satan always be a “snake, an asp” and crawl around on his belly and eat dust? No, this is just a “statement of degradation” — saying that, satan is sentenced to death, and has been since the beginning of this Age, as verified in Ezekiel 28, and will be carried out as indicated in the next verse, remember, we — flesh man, came from the dust of the earth. Who will carry out this sentence? The LORD of Lords’s and KING of King’s — Jesus Christ — The ONLY Begotten Son of God. Sharpen up for me because, Father is still addressing satan — not Eve. [3:15] And I will put enmity (hatred and hostility) between thee (satan) and the woman, and between thy (satan’s) seed (Cain and his descendants) between thy and her seed (all Eve’s offspring to include Jesus Christ); it (Jesus) shall bruise thy (satan’s) head, and thou (satan) shalt bruise his (Jesus’) heel. —>
Notice four things from the previous verse—Genesis 3:14: (1) it ended in a colon, meaning that, what Father was saying continued into this verse; (2) Father was talking to satan in verse v3:14 and is STILL talking to him in this verse v3:15; (3) This Verse IS THE FIRST PROPHESY IN ALL OF FATHER’S WORD of the promised Saviour; and (4) Father never addresses Eve in the previous verse or this verse. So, what does Father say to satan? He—Father—will put hostility and hatred between WHO? Between satan and Eve, and between satan’s seed and Eve’s seed—offspring. Do not overlook what Father YHVH just said! In both instances and uses, Father is talking about Hebrew word number: H2233, - זֶרַע, - zera‛, pronounced - zehי-rah, and means: From H2232; seed; figuratively fruit, plant, sowing time, posterity: - X carnally, child, fruitful, seed (-time), sowing-time. Total KJV occurrences: 229.. Now let’s look at H2232, - זָרַע, - zâra‛, pronounced - zaw-rahי, and means: A primitive root; to sow; figuratively to disseminate, plant, fructify: - bear, conceive seed, set with, sow (-er), yield. Total KJV occurrences: 56.. OK, so now that we know that FATHER was talking about posterity, let’s find out who each’s offspring are. We know that Eve’s offspring with Adam, are the Adamic seedline through which Father will become flesh as His only Begotten Son — Jesus Christ. This will be between Adam and Eve — Able—who was murdered—and then Seth and so on down the line. We can trace Adam’s lineage\seedline beginning with Genesis 4:25 and then continuing throughout all the rest of Father’s Word. You see, there is another misconception propagated by the false preachers, just like every novel, fictional or non-fictional story you’ve ever read, the story centers around a central set of characters. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t other people in the setting, the story, or the book, — it just means that unless they have something to do in the story, they aren’t mentioned. It is the same with Father’s Word. The Sixth Day Creation isn’t mentioned very often because, the story — Father’s Word, for the most part, ONLY centers around the Adamic Seedline. We can also continue to trace Adam and Eve’s seedline through Seth, then to Enos, to Cainan, to Mahalaleel, to Jared, to Enoch—who walked with God—to Methuselah, to Lamech, to Noah and his three sons Shem; Ham and Japeth, and their offspring all the way down to Abram. Then in Genesis 15:19 we find Father telling Abram—before Father changed his name to Abraham—that He — Father, will move Abram’s offspring out of the land of Canaan—The Promised Land in the future—to Egypt, and then over 400 years later He will bring them back again. Why will Father do this? Because the iniquity of the Amorites has not yet been fulfilled. What was the “iniquity of the Amorites?” They are of the Adamic seedline and they were allowing their women and daughters to mate with the fallen angels as explained in Genesis 6. This mating between flesh man—women—and the fallen angels, as we’d discover if we were to read Genesis 6, will produce hybrid giants. Do the names Goliath and\or Og ring a bell? This mating was all part of satan’s plan to try and interrupt the seedline through which Father would come in the flesh. Father knew they were doing this and would allow it to continue to fulfill His Plan. What did Father — who would bring the Israelites back to the land of Canaan — The Promised Land, want the Israelites to do about these other Adamic peoples that were mating with the fallen angels, and their hybrid offspring? He wanted our forefathers to “utterly destroy them.” You see, it wasn’t just anybody that Father wanted our forefathers to destroy in The Promised Land as, we are all His children but, He wanted these hybrid giants destroyed as this was the second time the fallen angels had come to interrupt the seedline, the first time was before Noah’s Flood and that was the reason for Noah’s Flood: — To destroy the hybrid giants. Now for Eve’s offspring with satan. This seedline is Cain and then his offspring will be known as the kenites. As for the kenites, we also find them and what Father wanted done with them in the following verses: Numbers 24:21 which reads: Numbers 24:21 And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, “Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock. —>
Who is this “rock — lower case “r”?” It is their—the kenites—father —lower case “f”—satan, see Deuteronomy 32:31. [24:22] Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.” —> Father — ELOHIM, wants these kenites “wasted” Hebrew word number: H1197, - קֵינִי, - bâ‛ar, pronounced - baw-arי, and means: A primitive root; to kindle; that is; consume (by fire or by eating); also (as denominative from H1198) to be (become) brutish: - be brutish, bring (put, take) away, burn, (cause to) eat (up), feed, heat, kindle, set ([on fire]), waste. Total KJV occurrences: 94.. Just as He tells satan in Ezekiel 28 He will do to him. Why else would Father want these offspring of Cain— the kenites consumed with fire? Let’s turn to I Chronicles 2: I Chronicles 2:55 And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab. —> There are several key items in this verse: (1) “the Scribes,” Hebrew word number: H5608, - סָפַר, - sâphar, pronounced - saw-farי, and means: A primitive root; properly to score with a mark as a tally or record, that is, (by implication) to inscribe, and also to enumerate, intensively to recount, that is, celebrate: - commune, (ac-) to count, declare, to number, + penknife, reckon, scribe, shew forth, speak, talk, tell (out), writer. Total KJV occurrences: 161.. It was only the Levites who were allowed to be the Priests of Father YHVH. But, the Levites had become lazy and allowed others — the kenites and the nethinims —H5411, - נָתִיןo or נָתוּן, - Nathiyn or nathun, pronounced – naw-theenי or naw-thoonי, and means: The second form is the proper form, as passive particle; from H5414; one given, that is,(in the plural only) the Nethinim, or Temple Servants (as given up to that duty): - Nethinims. Total KJV occurrences: 17.—in other words—those given to service in the temple to do the Levites chores. They—the Levites—also allowed them to do other things as well, such as “write” Father's Word, and later even become priests as we can find in The Book of Ezra, turn with me to Ezra 8:15 and read what he has to say: Ezra 8:15 And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi., and also in The Book of Nehemiah, Nehemiah 10:28. Now, and it isn’t until this point that, Father turns His attention to and addresses Eve in Genesis 3: Pay attention to the FIRST thing He says to her: Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman He said, “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” —> The very first thing Father says to Eve — concerns pregnancy and conception. Remember, “seed” and its Hebrew meaning “conceiving seed — children — posterity” from verse v3:15 above? If satan did not seduce Eve — as man says — then, why does Father talk with BOTH SATAN AND EVE about such in these verses? But, neither we, nor Father is done yet. Let’s skip forward and hear what our Lord Jesus Christ has to teach us concerning this subject. Let’s go to Matthew 13. As I had earlier quoted this chapter, it was at that point that Jesus was talking in a parable concerning sowing a different kind of seed, and that seed was The Word of God — or the Truth in His Word. Jesus was explaining that some—people—would be able to receive His Truth’s and some would NOT. But, when we come to Matthew 13:34 and forward, He changes to a different kind of “seed.” This seed in the Greek, in the Strong’s Concordance, is Greek word number: G4690, - σπέρμα, - sperma, pronounced - sper'-mah, and means: From G4687; something sown; that is, seed (including the male “sperm”); by implication offspring; specifically a remnant (figuratively as if kept over for planting): - issue, seed. Total KJV occurrences: 44.. So, let’s pick it up and read what He has to say: Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, “Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.” —> So, Jesus is now alone with His disciples and they ask Him to explain to them the parables that He has just spoken of. Pay attention because, He is about to explain the parables to them: [13:37] He answered and said unto them, “He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; —> It was Father Who sowed good seed — “sperma” — man in the flesh, it was also Father Who sowed good seed — “sperma” — in Mary and brought forth Jesus. Notice the “colon” at the end of this verse? It Means that, Jesus wasn’t finished nor was He changing subjects yet. [13:38] The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; —> This goes back to Genesis 2:5 “...and there was not a man to till the ground.” It is clearly understood that the fish, the fowl, all the wild animals of every kind are created, and living on earth. All races of mankind have also been created and are multiplying also, all except the Adamic—ruddy complected—race. With all this life, Father — ELOHIM, is stating that there still is “no man to till the ground” — to be a farmer — to continue to bring forth good seed and the “Truth” in His Word. Jesus was also referring to this “field” in His parable, being the entire world. “The good seed are children of God’s kingdom.” It did not say that, these were apple seeds, or any other fruit of trees; they were children of the kingdom. Some people really get confused and they try to say that these are apples and not babies. But, these seeds are the outcome between the sexual union between a man—Adam—and a woman — Eve. Jesus is telling us what happened in the Garden of Eden. Those children are the children of Seth, and not Cain. So then, we also see here that the “tares” are the children of the wicked one. Tares as used here in this verse, is Greek word number G2215, - ζιζάνιον, - zizanion, pronounced - dziz-an'-ee-on, and means: Of uncertain origin; darnel; or false grain;: - tares: Total KJV occurrences: 8.. The wicked one is the adversary to Father and Jesus, and you, IF you, claim the name of Christ. Satan is the one who Father told Eve to stay away from; however we know she did not. Don’t be stooped and try to spiritualize this explanation of Jesus away either. He is revealing one of the hidden mysteries “kept secret from the foundation of this earth age.” Father is telling you that these are not “spiritual” children but, flesh and blood walking on the earth today. The two seeds then, are the offspring of ELOHIM — The Good Seed, and the offspring of satan — the tares or bad seed. [13:39] The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. —>
Remember, this is Jesus speaking, and He isn’t pulling any punches, He is making it very clear and easy to understand. He makes it very clear just who the wicked one, also called the enemy is. Do you understand now, why, we are to leave them alone? Father has His angels appointed to do the gathering; those angels are who returns with Jesus when He returns to earth at His Second Advent. That is when the gathering will take place. I Corinthians 15:50-52 tells us how and when this will take place. Father tells us in Genesis 1 that He and Jesus made us in their image, how do the angels look? Just like Father, in other words, Father and Jesus look alike because, as Jesus told us in John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, “Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, ‘Shew us the Father’?, and we look exactly like our spiritual selves however, the physical make up is different. Though the gathering is taking place at the first day of the Millennium, the burning of them in the fire will take place at the end of Jesus’ 1,000 year reign — called the Millennium age, right after the judgment — see Revelation 20. On the first day of the Millennium age, every knee will bow to Jesus, for all flesh will be gone, and everyone will be changed in the twinkling of an eye to their spiritual bodies, which is still a “corruptible — liable to die” body. I Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. —> There are no exceptions to this for, even the kenites will see Jesus’ greatness. Their father satan, will be locked in the pit for the thousand year Millennium period. The tares who are converted then, are no longer tares for, upon repentance and belief in Jesus Christ, they also become the sons of God, and as such, they too become joint heirs with Christ in His kingdom. When they repent, they will become the wheat that is sifted and saved for the kingdom of God. What happens to the tares — those who WILL NOT convert? [13:40] As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. —> At the end of this world age, the tares are gathered up and separated; their burning will not happen until after the Millennial thousand year period when the judgment will be, and then comes the hell fire that will destroy Satan and all who followed him. This time is recorded in Revelation 20 which reads: Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and Him That sat on it, from Whose face the earth and the heaven fled away: and there was found no place for them. [20:12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. [20:13] And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. [20:14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [20:15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.. [13:41] The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; —> The gathering takes place while everybody is in their spiritual bodies. There are some who have already put on their Incorruptible and some who are still in their Corruptible— i.e., liable to die. Those who are still in their Corruptible and still follow satan at the end of Jesus’ 1,000 year Millennial Reign, will, as the next verse is going to tell us — be cast into the Lake of Fire and will be consumed from within. Pay attention to the “colon” at the end of this verse because, the verse continues to the next. [13:42] And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. —> Into the Lake of Fire they go, they will be remembered NO MORE — we won’t weep for them being gone but, just prior to being cast into the Lake of Fire they themselves “will be weeping and gnashing their teeth.” Why? Because, they convinced themselves in this Age and believed during Jesus’ Millennium that their father would win the controversy and nothing would happen to them. [13:43] Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. —>
Did you notice the Upper Case “F” in the word “Father,” in this verse? Do you know the difference between the two fathers? The rest of the Parables in Matthew 13 are just as important, and you should continue then and read them to understand. But, returning to Genesis 3:16, What is the Second thing Father talks with Eve about in this verse? “Thy desire shall be to thy husband..” So, Eve lost her desire for her husband! If other than she was having sex with satan, — How and why would that be? If it was just her eating an apple or her just allowing satan to “tempt” her and Adam, why would Father say this? Father next says “he shall rule over thee” man has really taken this out of context. It does NOT mean that females will be subservient to males. Remember in Genesis 2 Father said He created woman to be man’s “help meet.” Jesus told us in Revelation 3 that the church of Philadelphia in the end times knew this “key of David,” and along with Smyrna they were the only ones who knew the truth. They knew who the wicked were, and they knew how to identify them. “I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan..” They knew who the Kenites were, how to identify them, and what they were up to. It is also the understanding the coming of Jesus, and the lineage that the promised messiah would come through. Psalms 8:4 What is man, that Thou art mindful of him: And the son of man, that Thou visitest him: [8:5] For Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, And hast crowned him with glory and honour. [8:6] Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of Thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet: —> So, again, we see that David was asking Father; “is this your decree or law concerning Ha-adam, O YHVH?” Nathan has just told David that the Messiah would come through his lineage.
17:18 Inability to praise
aright.
17:18 Plea. David’s Person.
I Chronicles 17:18 What can David speak more to Thee for the honour of Thy servant? for Thou knowest Thy servant. —> Father knew David’s heart just as He knows the heart of each and every one of His children. How did and does Father know our hearts? Firstly, because of what we all did in the First Earth Age, and secondly, because He is the heart knower. Solomon tells us this in II Chronicles 6:30 which reads: II Chronicles 6:30 Then hear Thou from heaven Thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart Thou knowest; (for Thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:) —> It is how He is able to select His Judges, His Kings, His Prophets, His and Elect; how He was able to say to Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:5 ““before I formed thee in thy mother’s womb I knew thee, while growing in her belly I deemed thee a prophet...”;” and how He was able to say while Esau was yet in Rebekah’s womb, “Jacob have I loved, but Esau I have hated.”
17:19 Acknowledgment of
benefits.
17:19 Promise. David’s
person.
I Chronicles 17:19 O LORD, for Thy servant’s sake, and according to Thine own heart, hast Thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things. —> Here, David acknowledges what Father has told him and he tells Father that, his heart is clean in his motives, and that he wants to do what was right by Father. As we know, Father can and does read the hearts of all men, and He knew David’s motives were innocent. As we learned in II Samuel 6 and I Chronicles 13, Father doesn’t like it when His children try and add to His methods of worship which are spelled out in His Word. So, David now commits himself to doing all his actions and words in accordance with Father’s Word, he will seek Father’s instruction in all matters dealing with His things in worship in the future.
17:20 God: exalted. David’s
person.
I Chronicles 17:20 O LORD, there is none like Thee, neither is there any God beside Thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. —>
There is none like Thee=The words of True Worship, and the highest cry and noblest praise by the angels and the saints. Let’s compare this verse against it’s parallel of II Samuel 7:22 which reads: II Samuel 7:22 Wherefore Thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like Thee, neither is there any God beside Thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. —>
Notice that, in the Book written from Father’s point of view, the phrase “Wherefore Thou art great, O LORD God” is left out? Anyway, in the phrase Thou art great=David was and is giving much praise to Father and he is also speaking much truth in that, There is no other God beside Father. David was not perfect, however, he always held fast to these truths, and because of it, Father judged all the other kings of Israel against David’s standard; and I’ll tell ya brethren, David set that bar pretty high. In the phrase O LORD God=Here, David says “O YHVH ELOHIM,” notice the change back by David because, it is not now Father being associated with His earth; but, what He is in Himself, i.e. Creator and Covenant Giver.
According to all that we have heard with our ears=What about you brethren, do you have the “ears to hear?” For that matter, do you have the “eyes to see” the Truth in His Word? Jesus used a phrase similar to this on seven occasions while He was walking in the flesh, though He stated it, “He that hath Ears to Hear, let him hear.,” Dr. Bullinger has an Appendix in his Companion Bible explaining and expounding on this phrase, here is the link to it: Appendix 142.
17:21 Israel pre-eminent.
I Chronicles 17:21 And what one nation in the earth is like Thy People Israel, whom God went to redeem to be His own People, to make Thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before Thy People, whom Thou hast redeemed out of Egypt? —> David continues in his praise of Father, he recognizes all the awesome miracles which Father had performed for His Children Israel: from the coming out of the Egypt; to the pillar of fire given by night as they roamed through the wilderness; through their many victories over all their enemies as they entered into the Promised Land, Father never lifted his protective hand off His Children Israel. Father gave them unbelievable victories, as He removed the enemy from off the land, and then made it home for His People. Ponder this for a moment for, it was necessary that this People would be The People through which the Promised Messiah would come, they would be free to do as Father chose. It was Father YHVH Who put Abraham’s offspring—as He promised Abraham He would in Genesis 15:12-14—into captivity in the first place. It was also Father Who steered Israel as they made their way out of Egypt and all the way to the Promised Land. Father left them in Egypt for those two hundred fifteen years, so don’t say that “He was playing favorites.” Father had them in Egypt for those two hundred fifteen years in order to get their act together but, also, in order to grow into a Nation — they went into Egypt only 70 strong, but came out over two million. Father expects those who He selects for a duty and an obligation, to fulfill that obligation without complaint and changing His course one bit.
Thee a name of greatness and terribleness=Don’t let this word “terribleness” throw you here as, it is not meant in the negative; rather just the opposite, for in the Strong’s Concordance, it is Hebrew word number: H3372, - יָרֵא, - yârê', pronounced - yaw-rayי, and means: A primitive root; to fear; morally to revere; causatively to frighten: - affright, be (make) afraid, dread (-ful), (put in) fear (-ful, -fully, -ing). (be had in) reverence (-end), X see, terrible (act, -ness, thing). Total KJV occurrences: 334., so in other words, to do awesome things in order to let all the nations around Israel know that, there is a God in Israel.
Redeemed=Redeemed as used here, in the Strong’s Concordance, is Hebrew word number: H6299, - פָּדָה, - pâdâh, pronounced - paw-dawי, and means: A primitive root; to sever, that is, ransom; generally to release, preserve: - X at all, deliver, X by any means, ransom, (that are to be, let be) redeem (-ed), rescue, X surely. Total KJV occurrences: 59., in other words, to redeem or be released from bondage by power and not by : H1350, - גָּאַל, - gâ'al, pronounced - gaw-alי, and means: A primitive root; to redeem; (according to the Oriental law of kinship), that is, to be the next of kin (and as such to buy back a relative’s property, marry his widow, etc.): - X in any wise, X at all, avenger, deliver, (do, perform the part of near, next) kinsfolk (-man), purchase, ransom, redeem (-er), revenger. Total KJV occurrences: 104., in other words, to redeem or be released from bondage by buying.
17:22 Israel pre-eminence.
I Chronicles 17:22 For Thy People Israel didst Thou make Thine own People for ever; and Thou, LORD, becamest their God. —> Father planned from the very beginning tha,t He would have a certain People who would bring Him into the Flesh Age in order for Him to bring forth Salvation to all His Children. These People were to be kept pure—not mix with—from the other nations, as only He is Pure. They had to strictly follow His Commandments, Judgments, Laws, Ordinances and Statutes in order to be an example to the rest of the Nations. His plan from the beginning was that, there would be three Ages, the First Earth Age in which we all lived with Him in our spiritual bodies, that Age ended with satan’s rebellion and fall and his enticing a third of Father’s children to follow him, this Second Flesh Age, whereby He asked each of us if we would become flesh, He, being the Wonderful Father that He is, didn’t let do this alone, no, He too became flesh in order to go to that cross and die in the flesh for us, this Age ends with a testing by satan arriving and pretending to be Jesus, with only those who have truly Studied His Word will know the difference and the rest following after satan as if he is Jesus; the Millennium, in which Jesus will rule for 1,000 years for teaching without satan’s influence will follow this Flesh Age, at the end of the Millennium satan will again be allowed to try and entice Father’s children into following him, he and those who do will be sentenced to the Lake of Fire at the Great White Throne Judgment; and then begins the eternity and Father ruling over and living with His children in a sinless world.
17:23 DAVID. PRAYER
FOR HIS HOUSE.
(Introversion.)
17:23 Prayer.
Establishment.
17:23 Establishment.
David’s house.
I Chronicles 17:23 Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that Thou hast spoken concerning Thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as Thou hast said. —>
Like as each of us is not worthy, for we all fall short of the glory of our Father, David also knows that He is not worthy to be the seedline through which Father will become flesh. He therefore tells Father to not do this wonderful deed for his sake, but do what is correct for Thy and Thy Name’s sake. There is no other God(s), likewise also, there is no other way to the Father than through the Son Who was God in the flesh. He is the only way to the Mercy Seat and to Salvation.
17:24 Prayer.
Establishment.
17:24 Establishment.
David’s house.
I Chronicles 17:24 Let it even be established, that Thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, ‘The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel:’ and let the house of David Thy servant be established before thee. —> This goes back to Genesis 49 where Jacob, the father of the patriarchs, gives his Blessing to each of his twelve sons, and as we read in Genesis 49:8 which reads: Genesis 49:8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee. —> To have your hand on the neck of your enemies means that you will have victory over them. This reminds me of a phrase I heard while in the Navy which went something like this: “The only way to negotiate with your enemy is with your knee on his chest and your knife at his throat.” Here, Jacob from Father is giving to Judah the scepter line — the right to rule. [49:9] Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? —> Judah’s actions in his younger years were that of having a quick temper; fast reaction; and he was the first to strike out. As he became older, he became more stable, and when he and his brethren went down into Egypt to buy food when the famine had hit, it was he who went in before Joseph—whom he did not know at the time was Joseph—he assumed full responsibility in standing his ground and protecting his youngest brother — Benjamin. When Judah ages, and grows into a tribal nation, he will become as an old lion, who will stand his ground, and not be easily moved. Judah will become the royal seedline, and it will be from his loins—and that of Levi also—that our Lord Jesus Christ will come. Judah will be the king line of Israel. The next verse is the reason we came here: [49:10] The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. —>
Sadly, people think and say that, this is a difficult passage, however, it really isn’t when you read it with understanding, and compare it with that of Isaiah 9:6 which reads: Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. —> We can further compare this with Judges 13 which reads: Judges 13:17 And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, “What is Thy name, that when Thy sayings come to pass we may do Thee honour?” —>
Manoah is so pleased that, he wants to ensure that when the prophesy from the Angel comes to pass, he’ll be sure to remember the Angel’s name and then give glory to Him however, as the Angel had told him in the previous verses in Judges 13, do not worship me, give glory and reverence only to Father YHVH. [13:18] And the Angel of the LORD said unto him, “Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?” —> Now it’s time to find out just who this Angel is, for it is none other than Father Himself, manifest as Jesus before being born in the flesh, in other words, think of Melchizedek. How do I know this? Because of His reply here. The Angel says His name is “secret,” but also because of what Manoah says in verse v13:22 below. In all other places in Father’s Word where an angel is asked his name, the angel gives his name. Only two places — here in Judges 13 and also in Genesis 32 when Jacob wrestled with Father, is the Angel’s name not given. Secret=In the Strong’s Concordance, is Hebrew word number: H6383, - פִּלְאִי or פָּלִיא, - pil'ı̂y or pâlı̂y', pronounced – pil-eeי or paw-leeי, and means: From H6381; remarkable: secret, wonderful. Total KJV occurrences: 2.. Following this back toward the base then, we come to H6382, - פֶּלֶא, - pele', pronounced - pehwי-leh, and means: From H6381; a miracle: - marvellous thing, wonder (-ful, -fully). Total KJV occurrences: 13., and is the same word which is used in Isaiah 9:6-7. Further still, we can compare this with the angelic message from Luke 1 which reads: Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and shalt call His name JESUS. [1:32] He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the LORD God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David: —> The word government as used in Isaiah 9:6-7, is misrah in the Hebrew and is only used in these two verses in all Father’s Word, and is like the word politeuma which in the Strong’s Concordance, is Hebrew word number: G4175, - πολίτευμα, - politeuma, pronounced - pol-it’-yoo-mah, and means: From G4176; a community, that is, (abstractly) citizenship (figuratively): - conversation; Total KJV occurrences: 1.. Which is found in Phillipians 3:20 which reads: Philippians 3:20 For our (here is our word) conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: —>
Father’s Government, in His Kingdom is the only perfect government. No other government, man-made or satan-made, can ever compare. [13:19] So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD: and the Angel did wondrously; (and Manoah and his wife looked on.) —>
Manoah does in fact offer an offering; he offers a minchah or “meat” or “meal” offering. Minchah in the Strong’s Concordance, is Hebrew word number: H4503, - מִנְחָה, - minchâh, pronounced - min-khawי, and means: from an unsed root meaning to apportion; that is, bestow; a donation; euphemistically tribute; specifically a sacrificial offering (usually bloodless and voluntary): - gift, oblation, (meat) offering, present, sacrifice. Total KJV occurrences: 211.. Minchah is a meal offering, a present. As such; it is a gift-offering, not necessarily to secure admittance, but to secure favor. It might be a sacrifice by blood, or more generally and later, without blood. It is used of the offerings of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4:3-5, of Jacob’s present to Esau in Genesis 32:13-21, etc. In The Book of Exodus and The Book of Leviticus it acquires a special limitation, and is the only word rendered “meat,” or better meal-offering—though it has a wider signification than meal. So he —Manoah—offers up this meal offering, and as he does, a miracle takes place right before his and his wife’s eyes. Jesus ascends to heaven in the Flame coming off the altar where Manoah is offering the kid. [13:20] For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the Angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground. —>
Manoah and his wife are now certain this is the Angel of the LORD, and they respectfully drop to their knees in reverence. There is one little problem though, that problem is that they know you cannot see the face of God and be alive or still live. [13:21] But the Angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that He was an Angel of the LORD. —> After Father ascended up in the flame to heaven, He did not appear again to Manoah and or his wife. Let’s return now to Isaiah 9: [9:7] Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
—> Which takes us right back to Genesis 49:10: [49:11] Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes: —> This is where your knowledge of Hebrew idioms comes into play for, the English Translators of king James lost the true translation of the Hebrew idiom. What it is saying is, in comparison to what we would say today — “he is so rich that, he could bathe in perfume,” you see, the juices of the grapes were similar in value to the perfume of today. The whole expression was pointing to the fact of extreme wealth, and not in reference to Judah being a, or as being a, drunkard. [49:12] His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk. —> Again, like the last verse, this is not in reference to Judah being a drunkard, it is in reference to his always having plenty.
Let’s return now to I Chronicles 17:
17:25 Divine Revelation.
David’s house.
17:25 Plea. David’s house.
I Chronicles 17:25 For Thou, O my God, hast told Thy servant that Thou wilt build him an house: therefore Thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before Thee. —> David temporarily pauses his Prayer to Father which he began back in verse v17:16 in order to acknowledge Father,s Promise and then give Father more praise; he’ll pick his Prayer back up in the last verse.
17:26 Divine promise for
David’s house. Praise.
I Chronicles 17:26 And now, LORD, Thou art God, and hast promised this goodness unto Thy servant: —>
David acknowledges Father’s Promise concerning his seedline; not only that, but also Father’s Promise concerning how events concerning this Age, the Millennium and the eternity work out. This Promise brethren wasn’t just to David, it is just as valid to you and I and all of Father’s Children today if we meet the conditions.
I remind you brethren, this Promise is a Covenant of Salt from our Father to David. This is The One Promise from Him which is without condition, it is irrevocable and cannot be broken — Thank You Father.
17:27 Prayer for
continuance for David’s
house.
I Chronicles 17:27 Now therefore let it please Thee to bless the house of Thy servant, that it may be before Thee for ever: for Thou blessest, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever.” —> Father first made this Promise to Abraham all the way back in Genesis 18, and really, even earlier; but let’s turn to Genesis 18 to read of it: Genesis 18:17 And the LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; [18:18] Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? [18:19] For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.” —>
Abraham did indeed command his son Isaac, who in turn commanded his son Jacob, who in turn commanded his twelve sons. Sadly though, while our forefathers were in Egypt, they forgot the Promise — oh, they remembered that there was supposed to be a Saviour come to redeem them from their bondage; however, they forgot they were to live up to and meet the conditions. Father still kept His end of the Promise and did indeed send the saviour — Moses, who delivered them out of their bondage to the Egyptians. But, sadly, again, through the many years of the judges and kings, they again forgot to up-hold their end of the condition — I’m sure the infiltration of the kenite nethinims had something to do with that — But, Father again still kept His end of His Promise and became Flesh to die on that cross. We too today are no different than our forefathers and are turning our backs on Father, but He will not forsake us, He will still keep His Promise to us and will return for the Second Advent to redeem us and lead us Home.
